Experiencia fantástica: I saw Dr. Cronk to both implant a spinal cord stimulator, and nine months later to remove it. I’m quite sure that Dr. Cronk had nothing to do with the failure of my stimulator to help me, rather that the overall incidence of stimulator failures is pretty high. On removal, Dr. Cronk confirmed that the placement of the paddles was perfect. As an aside to those considering an implant - do your research, as in reading papers on PubMed or Cochran. And yes, my trial was effective. But back to Dr. Cronk, she’s smart as a whip and exudes confidence and calm. Regarding her bedside manner, I felt she listened well, she addressed my concerns, and she did not shy from enumerating the risks and possible complications. However, she is a bit cool in her demeanor, and not one to smile much. That said, my primary concern was getting a highly competent surgeon, and as far as I can tell, she is that. As long as you’re not in need of a doctor who makes you feel warm and fuzzy, you can’t go wrong choosing Dr. Cronk. You’ll be in good hands.
