The professionals at Taylor Therapy Center are collectively concerned about helping the total person. By joining together in a multi-disciplinary group practice, we are able to provide a unique therapeutic setting in which we can use our skills and varied backgrounds to promote physical, emotional and spiritual well being.

The idea of client-therapist collaboration is essential to our work. We stress the active participation and involvement of individuals and families in planning and managing their health care programs. Indeed, collaboration is critical to accomplish our primary goal of providing quality health care in the most effective and individualized manner possible. Learning to listen to one's body and thus better care for oneself is a cornerstone principle of our practice.

Clients may elect to participate in one or more of the services we offer. While we offer service to individuals in each of our areas of specialty, we also provide individual and group programs that integrate services in such areas as coping better with stress, fitness for the weekend athlete, back care, and touch as contact and support. Combined services also are available for special individuals who suffer from chronic disease and debilitating problems. Family members and/or friends are encouraged to be part of the therapeutic process for people with especially debilitating conditions or terminal disorders.

Our physical therapists have over forty years of combined experience as clinicians. Their extensive background in the area of orthopedic, geriatric, women's health and sports physical therapy. They have a particular interest in utilizing their knowledge and experience to promote wellness and good health habits in their clients.

Each of our therapists has over twenty years experience. They provide counseling and psychotherapy to individuals, group, couples, and families. Educational seminars and workshops are offered periodically. Taylor Therapy Center's psychotherapy and life management practice pivots on the notion that all life problems offer opportunities to learn and grow. We subscribe to a philosophy of people learning to listen and respond to their bodies. Within that context, our therapists have extensive education and training in existential, behavioral, and humanistic psychotherapies and we work extensively in the body-oriented psychotherapies.

Therapy programs are designed to meet clients' needs in an atmosphere of privacy and confidentiality. If needed, psychological assessment/testing is also provided and covers a wide range of diagnostic and consultative areas.

Our massage therapists have a wide range of experience in Therapeutic Massage. This includes the integration of Swedish, deep-tissue, sports, acupressure, Reiki and Polarity massage techniques to best suit the needs of each individual client. Massage is provided for deep emotional and physical relaxation. As part of the unifying concept of our practice, massage, also is utilized to assist in the relief from pain, and recovery from injury or disease. 

Massage demonstrations and workshops are designed to introduce touch as a safe and important part of human growth, development, and integration. Couples and infant massage workshops periodically are offered to teach couples and parents massage and relaxation techniques.

Physical therapists are medical experts in the area of musculoskeletal conditions as well as the instruction and administration of exercise as it relates to disease and dysfunction. The Medically Supervised Gym (MSG) is a new concept in fitness, bridging physical therapy and the fitness center environment. The MSG encompasses wellness and exercise, based upon one's individual goals, requirements and limitations in a medically supervised setting while integrating it with your healthcare.

Taylor Therapy Center is the absolute best therapy center I have ever been to and I have been to sooooo many in my life!!! They have taken such great care of me there!!! I see my buddy, Lucy, who I adore!!! Lucy has kept me moving, literally and figuratively!! Without Lucy constantly tweaking my joints and muscles, I know I would not be walking and moving as good as I am at this point!!! She is the best!!! Joan Taylor is amazing and has created a wonderful, understanding and talented group of caregivers here and it is unlike any other PT/OT establishment I have ever encountered! Lucy has done her magic..really the best of physical therapy. I have been to other PT Centers..nothing compares. Today, with all parts in good working order, I work upstairs exercising at the MOG (Medically Oriented Gym), where Stephen oversees our program to continue strengthening. Thanks Taylor Therapy.
