Ann is the best and she’s built an awesome team. She understood my lifestyle and goals and helped me heal! I was sad to leave because I loved hanging out with her and the team. Experiencia fantástica: I was very pleased with Ann Steinfeld Physical Therapy. They were recommended to me by the Newport Orthopedic Group following a total shoulder replacement. Julie Dannenberg was my therapist, and she was great! Very personable and attentive. I have had PT at other locations and was bounced around with therapist. Their staff makes a point to get to know you and that was great. I was able to gain almost all my range of motion and strength back. My doctor was very pleased with my results! This past Fall I had back surgery so without question, I went back to Ann Steinfeld for physical therapy and was pleased to see that Julie was still there. Starting in 2020 I have had 4 separate health issues which required therapy - rotator cuff surgery, broken wrist, neck strain and lumbar spine pain. The entire staff is the best at what they do.They designed the perfect program of exercises for my problems and my body. They spent the hour making sure I was doing the exercises correctly so I received the most benefit. I can say that in every case, I was feeling 100% better after a few weeks. I enjoyed working with the staff and improved so much, that I was always so happy to get to my appointment. These therapists care about your recovery. Experiencia fantástica: I had been to this office three years ago to successfully address some "deconditioning" issues (i.e. lack of leg strength), and when PT was recommended for an unbalanced gait situation, I knew exactly where to go! She addressed my various aches, pains & mobility issues by tailoring my program to my needs. Experiencia fantástica: From the front desk help to the actual physical therapy, the office of Ann Steinfeld is top notch. I tore my meniscus and was afraid of being out of soccer for months. I scheduled an appointment with Ann and she began with a very in depth evaluation. Beyond that, our treatment involved everything from stretching and strengthening, to electric stem work, kinesio taping, at home recommendations. I left feeling significantly better and more at ease about my injury. I would highly recommend her to any of my friends and family.

But the graduated exercises and targeted therapy massage did their job over the course of several weeks. Julie and the team of assistants were warm and friendly and I actually enjoyed my therapy sessions!

Experiencia fantástica: I spend a lot of time outdoors bike riding, gardening and playing pickleball. Whenever I have a chronic pain, regardless of where it is, I set up time with Ann and her group. I've gone to my doc before who simply mulls it over and says to take ibuprofen for pain. But Ann can locate the cause and always gives me a way to alleviate and prevent further injury. She is my first stop, my go-to, for bone, muscle or tendon pain that is not severe but certainly irritating and interrupts my activities. I've known and used her group for more than 10 years.

They take the time to get to know you and more importantly, they are very hands on during the exercises. Most places will assign exercises, leave you, walk away to take care of someone else and return to you. This does not happen here. Your appointment time is 100% dedicated to you. I'm writing about services I received last year during the summer when I started to experience shoulder pain that made it difficult to work remote. It was so painful that I had gone to the ER and given muscle relaxers/pain meds. This ER experience would begin my trial and error of managing this pain. I took advice from my gym bros, went to my PR, and orthopedic specialists to essentially manage the symptoms. It was not until finding the right orthopedic surgeon along with going to Ann Steinfeld that would ultimately resolve this near-to-tears chronic pain. I'm talking about pain shooting all the way from my shoulder to my finger tips. To my surprise, I've learned from my orthopedic surgeon that a combination of poor ergonomics and long hours in front of the computer screen had ultimately caused my shoulder/neck pain. Even without this information, the Ann Steinfeld team was already addressing these issues. I worked specifically with Dr. Julie who was the essence of professionalism mixed in with personal care. She always made me feel welcomed and never judged or criticized. She made each visit feel personal and not like I was another number. In fact, the whole team from the front desk to the rest of her team made me feel welcomed and cared for. Fast forward a year later, and I had just resigned from a job working crazy long hours and again in front of a computer. I guess I didn't learn my lesson the first time because I'm now experiencing the same shoulder/neck pain. I have my first returning as a client appointment today, and I have to say I'm already feeling relief!

I choose Ann Steinfeld's place since it was pretty close to my place and had good reviews. My therapist was Julie, and I went through a 4 month program where she started me off with just a handful of exercise but usually every week she would add more exercises and reps until the last month where all I did was maybe raise the weights for a few. These exercises were focused on my week upper body strength to support my neck area. There were also some general stretches on and around the neck area. I started off seeing Julie 3 times a week, 1-ish hour sessions. In addition to the teaching the exercises, Julie did some light neck massages, as well as using electric stim machine to reduce the muscle tightness. After a month or 2 I started going twice a week, then on the last month I started only going once a week. On my last day, I was given a pretty nice Certificate of Graduation from Physical Therapy in addition to a cool bag. Now, I'll just say my pain has NOT fully gone away. Neck pain is something I've had for a while and these were the first steps to manage and reduce it. I went in physical therapy not knowing if the pain would every go down. I definitely noticed an improvement after the 4 months. I feel like even if the pain does flares back up I have a system to reduce the pain. It seems like the idea at this place (haven't been to other physical therapy before) is Physical Therapy is a guide for you to start a program to do better healthy choices for pain like mine or someone who suffered from an injury. I'd say this program definitely did its job starting me off on my future journey. The whole staff I worked with were nice, professional, and were willing to have fun casual conversations. Julie, my main PT, was great and helpful. The front desk lady was always helpful in scheduling appointments, whether in person or if I e-mailed. The physical therapy clinic also had a few assistants who help you with your exercises to make sure you're still doing proper form. They were also both professional and also fun to interact with about casual conversations like the latest movies. Overall I have nothing but nice things to say about this place. If you have insurance and this physical therapy clinic is relatively close to you, I highly recommend checking it out if you get recommended or referred to get physical therapy.

Experiencia fantástica: I met with an orthopedic surgeon who couldn’t offer any interventional back pain relief, but he did offer some great advice. From a list of PT locations, he singled out Ann Steinfeld Physical Therapy as offering a more personalized approach than what I had been getting from a different PT group. He was right. Ann and her highly educated staff (Zoe, Julie, and the rest of the group) worked to strengthen and tone my back while improving my posture. Experiencia fantástica: I cannot express how highly I recommend Ann Steinfeld Physical Therapy to anyone looking for a therapy program to get back to their normal self whether it be from an injury at work or recovering from a surgery. The whole staff is amazingly kind, efficient, and flexible. They work with your schedule for appointments and move you around easily if needed. Both the Physical Therapists and Therapy Assistants are so knowledgeable in what they do, you will always feel supported and in the right hands. The exercises are based off on what you can do and they slowly increase your exercises with how well you progress. I have been on a Workers Comp. lower back injury since November 2020. It is September 2021 and I have finally healed and feel like my normal 25 year old self that I am back to walking, running, and hopefully soon to be back on the soccer field. I cannot express how strong I feel and how supported I felt every time I walked into my physical therapy appointment. She always checks in to make sure the exercises feel ok and are helping, but makes sure to keep progressing forward. It was a small office with my own therapist Zoey. So glad it was a small place with not too many people in one room especially with Covid. My shoulder is so much better and I have print out of the exercises so I won’t have to worry about forgetting them. Would definitely recommend this center and Zoey

Experiencia fantástica: I had an incredible experience here. After surgery on my fibula, I was completely unable to put any weight on my leg. Zoe and team were absolutely incredible. I went in on crutches and a few months later walked out completely back to normal. Zoe was very acute in her listening and always adjusted her program to my benefit. Couldn’t be more thankful for this place and how far I’ve come. Will recommend them to everybody I know.

Experiencia fantástica: I'm on my 2nd time through with Ann Steinfeld PT. First time back in 2003 with my neck was exactly what I needed. I was told by my doctor I would most likely need neck surgery to fix herniated discs in neck, but after a couple of months of PT was able to resume normal activity. Benn doing the exercises I learned then for years & I'm all good for now. Currently seeing them for lower back issues & pain is subsiding greatly after only 3 weeks. Very happy with Ann and her staff!

She and a supreme staff of doctors and assistants put me through a routine of nearly 20 exercises at each meeting. I received such high quality care that when my plantar fasciitis came back more recently, I knew I had a trusted resource and physical therapist to return to. Zoe has fielded every question and provided countless suggestions to improve my issue, and I know that she is genuinely interested in and invested in helping me. The whole team creates a fun atmosphere, where going to physical therapy does not feel like a chore. Mallory has helped me navigate every point of confusion regarding insurance and billing, which is a welcomed difference from other health care providers. Experiencia fantástica: I ruptured my quadricep Tendon back in January and started PT at a larger "churn and burn" facility. After a few months I decided to reassess and look for a smaller facility where I could get more one on one time with the Therapist. I worked with Zoe and she was great. She really listened and took the time to add or remove exercises based off of my feedback. There were a few instances where I made immediate gains with Zoe vs months at the other facility because she understood where I was deficient. I have now graduated from PT (they even gave me a certificate, haha) and 100% recovered for normal day to day activities.

Zooey was my therapist and she's very kind and listens to me-Maura was a PT tech who is very good about showing me the exercises and insuring I'm doing them correctly. Experiencia fantástica: I am a busy mom of three kids and unfortunately, I tripped a few times on of their toys and really hurt both my feet. My ankles were swollen and it was just so painful to stand and move around. Being home all day and doing virtual schooling during COVID meant that I couldn't not be on my feet. After many visits to the doctor and weeks of being in a boot, I was finally referred to Ann Steinfeld Physical Therapy. I had been in pain for more than a year. The pain was like tingling sharp shooting needles in my feet. Within a few weeks of therapy, I was feeling so much better. I was incredulous at how quickly good therapy diminished the pain. I had delayed going due to my apprehensions about COVID but I really should not have delayed. EVERYONE in the office consistently wore their masks and I felt completely safe. After a few months, I "graduated" from therapy and got my life back. Ann Steinfeld Physical Therapy is just first rate and I would recommend with absolutely with no reservations. My only regret is that I didn't go sooner.

They take the time to get to know you and more importantly, they are very hands on during the exercises. Most places will assign exercises, leave you, walk away to take care of someone else and return to you. This does not happen here. Your appointment time is 100% dedicated to you. Experiencia fantástica: Ann Steinfeld PT has all the qualities I was looking for and more. Originally I chose Ann Steinfeld on a recommendation from the doctors office that was going to do a hip replacement for me. So due to the fact that Medicare required pre-operation PT I went through a number of pre op visits. During those office visits the young lady I worked with was very attentive to the pain I was experiencing before the hip replacement. After the replacement operation PT was required to fully recover with the new hip so I went back to Ann Stein for the necessary PT. Again I was very impressed with how the PT progressed and the quick rate of recuperation. A few months later I became even more bionic with a knee replacement. So back I go to Ann Stein for more PT. This time, working with the same young lady the goals are more critical. One major goal with knee replacement is to obtain as much range of motion as possible. The average range of motion was achieved and exceeded. A lot of the work is the responsibility of the patient but to be effective with a knee replacement one must work with a competent therapist. That is why I returned to Ann Stein. Recently I completed a number of therapy sessions for one of my shoulders (aging is so much fun). Again Ann Stein and her staff of therapist’s knowledge of what to do and how to do it is on going impressive. What ever the next body part of mine needing PT I will return to Ann Stein and her staff.
