Ultimate Wellness is a privately owned Physical Therapy facility. We offer a wide variety of pain modalities and equipment such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, paraffin, moist heat, cryo-therapy, Game Ready cold compression system, peripheral neuropathy infrared light therapy (as shown on the right), low impact exercise equipment, Biodex balance system, computerized home exercise programs with picture and video illustrations for general exercise, stretching, Thera-band exs, and taping joint techniques.

Our current clinical staff has close to 60 years of combined experience in a wide variety of clinical specialties.

The Hill Traction Anatomotor Cervical and Lumbar traction unit which consists of static, intermittent, and cycling targeted distraction forces that to relieve pressure on specific spinal structures that may cause neck or back pain; also includes differentiating capabilities for spinal segment mobilization. The spinal traction devices relieve pain associated with herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, posterior facet syndrome, and sciatica. It achieves these effects through decompression of the intervertebral discs, that is, unloading through distraction and positioning.

For the first visit, you should bring your insurance card, list of medications, and any paperwork that you may have received from your primary care doctor. If you have any operative reports, MRI or X-ray results, you should bring those as well. I recently was treated for sacroiliac join pain at Ultimate Wellness Physical Therapy in Port Charlotte. I found the facility comfortable, amazingly well organized and clean considering the huge amount of therapeutic equipment available. Andrea and Sylvia at the front desk were always very friendly and caring. They made me feel like family from the first day, even giving me a card and gift on my birthday! My physical therapists, Senor Rick and Dr. Jason, were very knowledgeable and professional. I received a complete evaluation on the first visit, and goals were set to keep me on track. My progress was evaluated halfway through my program and again on the last day. Both Rick and Jason were respectful and discrete as my condition required therapeutic massage, percussive massage, ultrasound and use of the TENS Unit on my lower back and hip area. They supported, motivated and encouraged me through an extensive stretching and exercising program designed to reduce my pain, build my strength and even improve my balance and posture. They provided illustrated materials for stretches and exercises for a home program ensuring future physical health, avoiding injury. Every session ended with time on the Hill Traction Unit which was painless, almost restful. I actually felt taller the first time! I completed my physical therapy program at Ultimate Wellness much improved and pain free. I’ve been able to return to my daily walks, yoga and life in general with in confidence using the life-long strategies and techniques learned from Senor Rick and Dr Jason. I cannot say enough good things about Ultimate Wellness Physical Therapy. First of all they are a family run business, his wonderful wife and his daughter and son. I called up and explained my situation and they fit me right in coming from NY. But first let"s start with Andrea, the secretary. She is extremely friendly and so sweet and goes far and beyond. Then we have Rick the therapist. Well he is extremely the Best and I am not kidding. He took me in like I was family and when I left I felt like family. He went far and beyond to work with me in a short period of time. When I came to him from NY I was not as far along with the knee replacement as he felt I should of been. I couldn't bend my knee and by the time I left after only 3 sessions I was bending and much more. He was one on one with me the whole time and never looked at the time to end our session. He had so many updated machines that I never saw at my physical therapy place in NY. He and his wife even came in on a Saturday when they are normally closed just to work with me. Rick even took the time to look up therapists in NY that he felt I would hopefully benefit from and spoke with them. It was sad when I had to go back to NY because I could not believe how much Rick made a difference on my knee.I would definitely give them the best a 5 star review ever and highly recommend them 100%. As Rick said to me " My patients are family". That means alot. Thank You again Rick and staff and his wife and children. I will be back.

My first visit i thought i was never going to feel better, the pain was excruciating. After the 1st visit i did feel better. From there on i felt better and better. My pain has disappeared and i feel better than i did before the sciatica was so inflamed. The exercises and the treatments (ultra sound, tens, massage and traction) helped so much and much faster than i thought would be possible. The office staff is so friendly, helpful and pleasant to be around and work with. Making appointments and rescedulating appointments was done with ease and efficiency. Rick and Scott worked as a team to knock out the pain and gain full function of hip and legs. They are fantastic at what they do and they definately do it well. Time and money well spent and a great investment in my health. Thank you so much for all that you did to get me back up and functioning. I have been treated at other P.T. facilities, but, Ultimate Wellness is by far the "Best". Beginning with the sweet and so professional Andreas' voice reminder of appointments to Rick, Sylvia and all other staff, I can't say enough of their professional help in so many ways. My back problems to my balance has so improved and has given me back my quality of life. What a wonderful group of caring and kind professionals. Life doesn't get much better when you have such quality medical care treating you as special as family as well.

This was my 2nd experience with Ultimate Wellness Physical Therapy. I was treated by Rick at his previous location and was very impressed with his knowledge, experience and caring nature. The 1st time I was being treated for Sciatica nerve pain, which was preventing me going to work. Rick's treatments were tremendously helpful. I had a later experience at another Physical Therapy facility, although I was helped, I did not feel as comfortable. When I had recently become aware that I needed help with balance issues and severe lower back pain, I asked my primary care physician if I could go to Ultimate Wellness Physical Therapy over where they had suggested, I was pleased that they said I could. I started physical therapy with Rick and Jason a few months ago. I had several falls prior to this due to balance issues and weakness in my legs and lower back pain. I can not tell you how much better I am doing now, due to the treatments, my balance has improved tremendously, my back pain has been reduced significantly and I feel so much better and a lot more confident in doing things that I had put off before. I would absolutely recommend Ultimate Wellness Physical Therapy to everyone, which I have done already to friends and neighbors. I feel almost like family when I go there, and I thank you all for everything you did.

This is my second treatment at Ultimate Wellness Physical Therapy 1st my neck which lead to pain my hand and finger and now a full knee replacement. The most amazing professional welcoming family atmosphere I have ever received in any treatment setting. The smile of the office staff always kind, concerned and find away to fit me in the schedule no matter how booked they are. Both Rick and Jason's skill level are incredible the highest level of equipment I have seen in any PT facility. Not only do they take the time to treat me but provide education that teaches me to understand what is happening to my body and how to continue relief in my everyday life as I age. My comment to them is when I leave I feel so good and will becoming for the rest of my life LOL. Oh, and they have a sense of humor unlike some of my other medical treatment experiences, I am not just a number I am a well respected part of the ultimate Physical therapy Treatment FAMILY!!!!!.
