IHR, established in 2004, is privately owned by physical therapists. IHR offers a high quality option to outpatient orthopedic physical therapy, athletic training and massage therapy services. A true alternative to the large, impersonal, corporate or chain physical therapy centers that are often found in this region, patients working with the IHR team will notice a superior quality of care in a more professional, patient friendly, and intimate rehabilitation setting.
The treatment setting at IHR includes individually focused, one-on-one service from skilled clinicians that have established their expertise through specialized academic degree programs, ongoing continuing education, and over 60 years of combined experience.
Above all, the clinicians at IHR seek to return their patients to the highest level of function possible using the safest and most effective methods possible. Patient satisfaction and well being are top priorities.
SInce 1998 members of the IHR staff have provided athletic training services to several local high schools. Currently, IHR is proud to be contracted to provide full time athletic training services with 5 local high schools, Norwalk HS, Brien McMahon HS, Stamford HS, Westhill HS, and Trinity Catholic HS. In addition, the IHR team provides athletic training services to recreational youth sports, charity events, and at the collegiate, semi-professional and international levels.
Our Norwalk office offers two private massage therapy rooms. Massage therapists Gaile and Nick offer a wide variety of massage techniques to suit your needs.

Innovative Health & Rehabilitation: Opiniones
Experiencia fantástica: Alex and Nick were great! I tore my acl and meniscus and had to go to PT for 4 months 2-3 times a week so I spent a lot of time with them. Even when it seemed impossible in the beginning , they were able to help me get my knee back into shape and strong again. Great exercises and support from them!
Experiencia fantástica: Ralph Antonacci and his team have been amazing at helping rehab a back injury. He is so well versed in sport’s injuries and worked with my doctor to put a plan in place to a full recovery. Their facility is wide open, clean and so efficient. When I injured knee 2 weeks ago PT was recommended by my orthopedic surgeon, I knew that Ralph would be able to help again. And so far I am on my way to running again.
Experiencia fantástica: Everyone is a pro! I worked with Gayle and Alex. Both were fabulous! I experienced numbness in my entire arm down to my finger tip. After consistent work with with these two, plus very clear instructions for exercise at home, the discomfort is gone! I am very happy with my experience at Innovative. I don't write many reviews but I had to offer this one!
Experiencia fantástica: My name is Karin Quinlan and I have been a patient at INNOVATIVE for four months after my cat swatted me and I fell on the floor and fractured my shoulder severely, and I write to tell you what an awesome job your team has done for me, and that even though I have a way to go to recover, I have already come a long way with the pain and healing, thanks to the great therapists and staff that I am working with at your organization. My lead therapist is Alexander Torres who is an exceptionally bright and very kind young man. My parents were both physicians and they taught me a lot about medical care, and Alex possesses so many of the crucial qualities a great doctor should have, which makes him an outstanding example of the BEST in his work. INNOVATIVE is truly blessed to have him as therapist, leader and a friend on their wonderful team. Another therapist, Nick Guarcello, an associate with Alex, has also worked hard to improve my condition and his medical knowledge and kind, cheerful personality have been essential in my progress. Also, Andrew DeFranco, an aide to Alex is an energetic, intelligent young man who has been available and has done a great job working on my issues. And last but not least, Christine, the sweet, very helpful receptionist is a great, very pretty asset to the image of your company. I am moving to Austin, Texas tomorrow which is a difficult change, but necessary for me, and I will truly miss INNOVATIVE and I just had to thank you and your team for your attention, expertise and medical wisdom and if I return to this area some day, I will be there right away. Best of luck, great success, and much love to you and your outstanding company and its members.
Experiencia fantástica: I have been to Innovative Health & Rehabilitation for after surgery care twice and again for an injury. I was always treated well and have had great recoveries. I have met other patients who have been successfully treated as well. This is the only place that I would go for physical therapy as Ralph Antonacci and his amazing Staff are second to none.
