Experiencia fantástica: My experience with SCC was very difficult. They pushed me to better myself and let me get the time I needed to detox and sober up. The staff was patient and with me but challenged me in many areas. If I would have gone to another program I would not have received the strength, guidance, and proper care. I owe my life to this place and would recommend and of my family or friends to this program. They’ve helped me through my after care as well and currently are still in my life. Experiencia fantástica: The entire staff at SCC exhibits impeccable professionalism. Their knowledge and experience when it comes to identifying the clients needs and applying the appropriate help is top level treatment. The help, support and assistance provided by the staff, weather it be physical therapy, mental therapy, relapse prevention, is all conducted by experts in the field of recovery. South Coast Counseling is, hands down, the meca for substance abuse treatment.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been to many treatment centers around the country and none of them have done what SCC has done for me. The staff are amazing from support staff to admissions to case management. They have awesome group facilitators come in almost everyday like Kap who runs a fitness group and Lauren who runs a meditation group.

Experiencia fantástica: I arrived at South Coast Counseling May 5th, 2023 with a closed mind and a closed heart. As of May 5th, 2024 I am now 1 year completely sober and although I put in the work on myself, I would have not been able to achieve what I have in this last year if it weren’t for going through this particular program and being motivated, loved, and supported every step of the way. It has taken me 13 years to put together 1 full year of sobriety. I have been to countless residential treatment centers and what sets South Coast Counseling apart from all the rest is that the staff genuinely cared about my wellbeing and believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. I was barreling down a path towards annihilation until they helped me set down a path of rediscovering who I truly am. I am forever grateful to the staff, which have now become extended family to me and this is the only place that I could without any doubt in my mind recommend to someone wanting to try and get sober.

Seeking treatment is scary for anyone, especially for the first time. If it wasn’t for the staff at SCC welcoming me and immediately making me feel like I wasn’t alone was the first huge impact in my sobriety journey. They provided me with care, love, and the tools to find my way out of my addiction. I would not be the wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend I am today without them. If you’re seeking treatment and looking for a safe place you can trust to always do the right thing in a sketchy world, I cannot recommend South Coast Counseling more. They are not in this business to do anything else other than help those who are lost and broken, and I’ve witnessed so many miracles leave SCC and are still thriving in the real world SOBER. Experiencia fantástica: This treatment center has been life changing for me. The compassion I received from the support staff was uplifting and generous. I have a new outlook for my sobriety as a result of the case workers and therapy I received. The programming and activities gave me a solid foundation that I continue to use daily and yes they do take you to the beach and other things such as hikes, movies, bowling, rope course and the library. I'm forever grateful for my experience at this treatment center.

Experiencia negativa: >>STAY AWAY<< Worse place one could end up in a time of need. This place is a joke. The owner attempted to attack me after asking for my personals, that being my ID which was still in my “Box”; which is lock in a gun safe. The owner/director is a pirate; liar, cheat and thief. He was, supposed through being told by the FAKE recruiting team, an EX-anethesioligist/DR whole loaded up on his the drugs that go along with the job! Food is like jail, good but not enough available. No snacks chiefs or really anything but here 30+ people in ONE SMALL APARTMENT. There are many other places in OC/Cali. Do not get sent a plain ticket and expect to go to the beach and play, RATHER THAN TRY TO SAVE YOUR LIFE by doing proper work. Do t be fooled. Do not be conned into believe what anyone says. #jerks

They picked me up in some of the darkest moments of my addiction, and they believed in me even after everyone else had given up on me. I can’t express enough how much gratitude and love I have for South Coast Counseling in my heart. There will obviously be times and days that you will struggle through the process of treatment, but all of the staff is there to help assist you and get you through any struggle you may have at all times. 10/10 recommend.❤️✨

Experiencia fantástica: My time at SCC has been very very powerful. I thank GOD for this place and for it saving my life. When I first got here I did not want to be here at all and the first month I spent trying to ACA on a daily basis. The staff here is unreal. They GENUINELY care about the well being of their clients and the message of recovery. They got me to stay by supporting me, loving me, and letting me have the space I needed to heal while providing accountability, teaching me life skills, providing therapy, meetings, providing outings. From someone who didn’t wanna be here in the beginning I have no been here for 10 mo the. This place is my family. And the unity this place carries in regard to the staff and clients is magical and god-given. The houses and facilities are beautiful and the program itself is organized, well structured. It’s a place that you can find life long friendships and learn SO much about recovery and yourself and what’s its like to live a sober happy, free and joyous life as long as you are willing and open in minded. THEY WILL MEET YOU WHERE YOU ARE. I definetly recommend going to this facility. I am forever indebted to this place for saving me.

Experiencia fantástica: There program has saved my life twice and has reunited my family and I. They taught me how to live life on life terms without having to get loaded. The staff is incredible they actually care about you from the support staff all the way to the owner.

Experiencia fantástica: If you are looking for a treatment center for yourself or for a loved one for alcoholism or another substance addiction, "SCC" is amazing. From the initial call, to my intake for detox and all the way through they took amazing care of me. I cannot say enough good things about their staff especially Jeremy Williams! I was one of their clients in mid-2019. Initially, I thought I would be there for 30 days, but chose to stay for a little over 90 days so that I could be best prepared to leave their program and live a life of sobriety. While there, I participated in 1:1 therapy sessions, group therapy sessions and learned life-long tools to help me with not drinking. I also let my first sponsor from an outside AA meeting who is still an important part of my life today. Additionally, I was able to go to the gym, do yoga, mediate with a sound bowl guru, go to the beach and more. SCC also has an alumni program and they welcome alumni to be a part of a weekly meeting with current clients. This may sound odd to some, but the bonds you make with others through SCC's program is no different then going through hell (pre-season and training) and coming out as a championship team.

Experiencia fantástica: Horrendous customer service and abyssmal phone service skills. Calling for enrollment for a loved one (with the person on the phone) and this center: 1) Refused to give an appointment to enroll into their PC1000 program. 2) Failed to callback the interested party after a representative appointed a callback time (3 PM) and left us with no option but to call back several times. 3) Practices unbelievable unprofessionalism at the office. The director or representative spoke unprofessionally over-the-phone and told the person attempting to enroll "you are not welcome here at this program". They jeer and laugh over the phone while you are on the line with them. A representative is also possibly eating while taking your call. 4) Shows a lack of any interest with newcomers seeking their program. They hang up on you when they feel they have had their say and no longer wish to discuss further over-the-phone. I am appalled with this center being recommend by courts to help any of those in need. An appointment is impossible to obtain by this center and the people working/representing this place cannot be reasoned with whatsoever. UPDATE: I have spoken with the ACTUAL company's representative, Dane, and cleared up my confusion. I believed I was reviewing South Coast Counseling Center for Laguna Hills (an out-patient program/clinic) and this company is a completely different entity. I am very pleased with how Dane reached out to me and cleared up my confusion. I look forward to possibly working with this program instead! Completely better customer service and SUPERIOR professionalism. Thank you Dane! ❤️

Experiencia fantástica: Our son completed this program, and through the course of his treatment, I have found the New Beginnings program to be very effective. My interactions with the staff have all been positive. Management has stood behind what they said. The real life advice and care that the leadership have given to our son have been life changing. Those relationships have continued to remain strong and supportive. We are blessed that our son was part of this program, and recommend this to families needing help with addiction!

Experiencia negativa: This place is terrible they Make you sign 72 hour hold on all of your stuff. They are crooked and run your insurance to the ground. Do not go there personally and don't send your children there.

Experiencia fantástica: This place is life changing!! 15 months ago, This place helped SAVE a hopeless, broken alcoholic/addict like me! I can’t imagine what my life would look like if I hadn’t come here! I am as stubborn as they come and hard headed! I never thought I could function and be happy clean and sober! I found exactly what I had always been missing within Scc. The Owner and staff treated me like I was family and I finally felt like I belonged somewhere and I was Home! I’ve never been to another place that the staff runs like a family and a solid Team, all interacting with clients to make them feel welcome and safe. I felt like the team of therapists & case managers were designed perfectly for me. I did real work here on myself and and got into the root of my addiction and triggers. Many of my closest friends today were my peers that completed SCC’s program around the time I did! And we are all still sober and doing amazing! At SCC, I was given the proper recovery tools and connections to many other people thriving in sobriety, knowledge of a 12 step program and wonderful guidance toward a successful strong sober life! I will never be able to thank EVERYONE at South Coast Counseling enough. The proof is in the 50 years they have been around and all the clients that have Completed their program and remain sober!! Recovery isn’t easy, it takes much work on an addict/Alcoholics part to succeed. But If someone is ready and willing, then the program and staff at SCC will absolutely make it possible to relearn how to live a beautiful life, Drug and Alcohol free!! Forever Grateful :)

Experiencia fantástica: I couldn’t be more grateful for the family and friends I have found here. I’ll admit I had my rough patches and moments where I didn’t see the point of being there, but I knew one thing I was done with my life in active addiction. I would do anything not to feel or face myself or the world around me. If ther is anything I learned in my time at south coast, is that no matter what life has in store for me I can get through the highs and lows of life without ever haveing to use drugs or drink to deal with it. The staff will do anything for you, and more importantly they will ensure that do not leave there without being handed the tools to handle life on life’s terms. Today, my main concern is not feeling good but learning to understand and deal with my feelings, no matter what they are. We do this by working the steps and sharing our feelings with others.

Experiencia fantástica: South Coast Counseling is a wonderful treatment facility. The program is very family oriented and the staff goes above and beyond to meet clients needs. SCC is extremely structured, which, in my opinion, is probably the main reason for most of the negative reviews. However, good structure is one of the most important an addict can learn. If you or a loved one can surrender to the system I'm certain you/they will love SCC as much as I do! Also, I would like to give a shout out to Pen Man, he's an amazing facilitator at SCC!

We were lost and looking for help, not just to get him clean and sober, but to attack the root causes that led him to a life of addiction. The program takes work and commitment but if your addict is willing and has your support backing them this is a stellar option. I am grateful daily that we as a family found this place. Experiencia fantástica: I have been in over 30 treatment centers all over the country and South Coast Counseling has been by far the best 1 and my last 1.. It is the only center that makes certain you stay engaged in 12 step recovery. They have created an atmosphere like no other I have expierenced. I travled across country and left my family to become part of the SCC family. All staff are very hands on and professional about making sure that the best oppertunity for long term sobriety is achieved. Through therapy, 12 step programs and groups I have been able to stay sober since going through SCC in April of 2017. By far the best place I have been and would recommend sending anyone of my loved ones here. I will have 2 years sober April 14th 2019 thanks to SCC and all the staff that continue to help me even after I have completed their program.

Experiencia fantástica: After numerous trips to various treatment centers and a previous failed attempt at SCC due to my own lack of personal responsibility over my alcoholism, I chose to come back to SCC. SCC is the only place I have found that held me accountable to participate in my own recovery. This is a facility with high integrity and ownership who personally invest their own time in order to ensure success. Because of SCC, I found and worked AA, worked 12 steps, full time employee, my relationships are back, and most importantly I am of use to others.
