Hello, my name is Sally and have had back problems that have gradually worsened over the last 50 years. I'm now 90 years old and have very bad scoliosis. For help I have tried chiropractors, physical therapists, a back specialist, pain management doctors and internists. None have helped me.

One day I was told about a therapist with magic fingers, that perhaps could help me. I have been working with Raifu for several years when I need him. To me he is my miracle worker and I have finally gotten help.

I recently had 'Back Surgery' at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. I have been a patient of Raifu Olorunfemi for many years. I suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis and problems with my gait. During that time he has helped me get through some difficult bouts of joint pain. I was originally referred to him by my rheumatologist many years ago. His method of treatment is unique in that it does not involve painful manipulations but rather a hands on stimulation of the affected areas.

Before I came to Raifu Olorunfemi, I went to many other physical therapists and never seemed to get better. At this point, I would like to mention that I am 83 years old. Through Raifu (yes we are on a first name basis), I feel pain free. My additional problem was a problem with my gait and balance. A problem that no one seemed to be able to cure. Today, I am able to walk without pain. My balance problem has disappeared and I feel like a youngster again!

In January of 2018 I injured my right shoulder during a mountain biking accident in Las Vegas. This resulted in me only being able to lift my arm up 40 degrees with severe pain. When I returned to Ocala the next week I sought medical treatment.

My physician ordered X-rays, MRI's and EMG's. I was also sent to a Orthopedic Surgeon as well as a Occupational Therapist and was finally seen by a Neurologist and diagnosed with right upper trunk brachial plexus injury.

I was referred to Raifu Olorunfemi, PT, MS at th Central Florida Therapist and Rehabilitation Group in April of 2018. By this time I had severe weakness and substantial muscle loss in my right arm, shoulder and back. When I met Therapist Olorunfemi he said right away that he could help me in my recovery.

I started receiving treatments twice a week. I'm now at a point in my recovery where I have regained full range of motion for my right arm. Additionally, I was able to rebuild muscle in my arm, shoulder and back. I believe that Therapist Olorunfemi's rehabilitation treatments were the sole reason for my physical improvement and recovery.

When I first came to Central Florida Therapist and Rehab, it was for treatment following a rotator cuff surgery. To my surprise, there were no exercises or machines involved. Raifu worked instead on the root cause of my shoulder dysfunction that caused the original problem that was treated by surgery. My posture was terrible and I walked bent forward with my right foot turned out from compensating for a foot problem.

I relied on narcotics to even be able to function. I lived with chronic pain that not even medication I took relieved. Walking was difficult and painful. My neck was pushed forward and I always looked down when I was walking. All of this imbalance caused the need for a cane to help steady myself and take pressure off one foot.

Of course this was not why I came in. I was willing to let him work on my shoulder with gentle stretching and balancing the muscles of both neck and shoulder. My range of motion and strength improved and the work extended through my back and neck and even legs. There was never any pain from the treatment and in my case, never any exercise machines.

People began to remark that I was walking better, looking better and I was actually feeling well. I now am walking without my cane, standing straighter, my foot which had been turned out is now tracking straight ahead. During this time I re-learned how to walk standing straight and how to balance without a cane.

This was a wonderful experience for me and has truly changed my life. I now walk every morning, gradually increasing my distance. I carry my cane, but end up twirling it or swinging it. I think it is a safety crutch and should probably leave it home. I think I still don't believe that it's not needed.

My treatment started the end of March and was finished by the middle of July. I started at 3 times weekly for a couple of weeks then 2 times for quite a while. I went to weekly then every 2 weeks for the last month. This is a very short time to change a lifetime of damage from poor body mechanics.

I recommend that any patients considering being seen at Central Florida Rehabilitation let go of preconceived ideas about what physical therapy is and allow Raifu to work with you and see what happens.

Having worked in the fields of exercise physiology, orthopaedics and rehab, I was interested to see how Dr. O would approach my pain problem. I was pleasantly surprised to experience his unique methods, that considered not just the site of the pain but how the body interacts as a whole. He not only relieved my pain from an old accident injury, but more importantly, helped me to understand how to exercise and stretch to prevent further pain and injury on a lifelong basis. I found his non-traditional physical therapy to be effective and allowed me to avoid further invasive pain management. It was important to be open minded about how to manage my own body and well being, as opposed to me seeking more invasive techniques. That was my goal.

My daughter and I are both patients here and it was a true blessing for us to come here. Mr Olorunfemi is very attentive and patient. He really makes you feel comfortable and he cares about truly helping you with whatever is wrong. My daughter is 11 years old she came to the clinic about 2 months ago she had a problem with her leg and she had pain in her knee and could not stand straight. After he worked with her for some time, she has no pain and now standing straight and able to walk longer periods of time. He is blessed.. I began having treatments about 2 weeks ago and I truly feel better after every visit. I have several elements going on, I am being treated for vertigo and fibromyalgia and I also have herniated disc. So far all my dizziness and headaches are gone. My stress level also improves after every visit. Mr Olorunfemi is the greatest physical therapist I ever had. A true healer.

I have been seeing Raifu for 16 weeks, twice a week. My primary doctor diagnosed my problem/pain as golfer's elbow. If I rated my level of pain as a 10 when I started, I now consider it a 1½!

The myofascial release treatment he uses is totally different from any other physical therapy I have had in the past, and I highly recommend it. And I recommend Raifu even more. I have been a patient of Raifu Olorunfemi, PT, MS for several years for different diagnoses. Each time he was able to improve my quality of life, which I greatly appreciated.

My current outpatient treatment for physical therapy is post-operative for two major surgeries, which left me with difficulty walking and balance. Also, with paralysis in my left hand and fingers. I was unable to get dressed, prepare a meal, or to accomplish most tasks without help.

After two years of spending thousands of dollars trying to get sciatic nerve pain relief - going to chiropractors (3) epidural shots, acupuncture, pain pills...nothing worked. I was scheduled for surgery - they were going to take out part of my spine!!!

A few years ago I was diagnosed with a slipped L5 disc.In lieu of invasive solutions, Physical Therapy was prescribed by my Doctor. I went to Central Florida Therapist and Rehabilitative Group. Recently, I had an issue with sciatica which was sending sharp pain down my leg. I went back to Raifu, and with 4 visits he had me standing straight, and relieved the muscle that was pushing against my sciatic nerve.

Excellent experience for me. I was in a really bad accident a couple of months ago and if it wasn't for mr.raifu i would probably be in a worse situation than where i am now. So if you are looking for a good pt i would recommend him. Also CFTRG is a very friendly place as well.

My nine year old daughter had an extensive surgery back in October of last year. She was diagnosed with flat foot- it was so bad where she was practically walking on her ankle. So they decided to fuse the ankle. She was immobilized for 5-6 months.

Just about 2 weeks ago she had the walking boot removed where she can actually feel normal again. She was actually able to walk. she is very unstable and has trouble balancing at this point so the doctor (Nemours Hospital) referred her to do physical therapy for roughly 4-5 months several times a week.

And the weird part is that was just an evaluation- therapy sessions haven't even started but that one 30 minute session made me feel comfortable and put me at ease that's where my daughter needs to be which is in the good hands of a very knowledgeable doctor and a wonderful pleasant staff. "It's your posture that's causing your pain" he said. I looked at Raifu with a puzzled face "what my posture no I was told & the MRI showed pinched nerves at the root". So he stood me up before a mirror & showed me how one side was up the other down.

Oh yes one last comment; the office staff are wonderful. They are all kind & helpful. My entire experience was to MY benefit. You cannot go very many businesses and report that, especially those that deal medical issues.
