Center for Change

Experiencia fantástica: I spent a month in inpatient and residential treatment at Center for change. It completely changed my life and put me on a new path. After I discharged I had a relapse and told myself I was done with recovery and was going back to my eating disorder. But I couldn't go back. I knew too much and the healthy coping skills I had developed in treatment were too effective to not use. I tried to go back to starving myself and throwing everything up, but having experienced recovery, I just couldn't go back to it. I can say that I am recovered and much happier now. Thank you CFC!

Experiencia fantástica: I spent about 5 months in CFC all said and done. And it was very helpful for me. I know no treatment center is free of problems but overall this was very positive. The staff were kind and supportive, always willing to listen and they kept a sense of humor and helped me feel a sense of connection when I would isolate.

Experiencia fantástica: One of our family members recently spent time at the Center for Change (the "CFC") in Orem. We were very impressed by the program, the philosophy and the personnel at the CFC! Our family member experienced dramatic healing and achieved all of the goals we had hoped she would achieve. During that process, we particularly appreciated the excellent care and advice she received from her therapist and nutritionist at the CFC. In our experience, the CFC can be both effective and life-changing!

Experiencia fantástica: To say that we were extremely hesitant of sending our daughter to Center for Change would be putting it lightly. We spent many months telling ourselves that if we took our daughter to an inpatient facility that we would be admitting to failure as parents. She had never been to an inpatient facility before and we were terrified. While they did not do everything perfectly I can honestly say that they saved our daughter's life. We are so thankful that they helped her by having her meet with an amazing therapist and Dietician. She is home now and working on letting her mind heal after being fully weight restored. What I liked most is how I could call no matter what time, day or night, and ask the Nurse questions about how our daughter was doing. My wife and I were also grateful for how Center for Change helps the parents learn about eating disorders and how we can change certain things to help our loved one through recovery. They not only helped our daughter but equipped our entire family with the tools necessary to continue down the path of recovery. While we know that our daughter will probably deal with her eating disorder for the rest of her life to some degree small degree or another, we can tell that she is on the right path now and Center for Change as given her the chance to live a full successful life. Thank you for all that you do for these women who struggle with such a terrible monster. Thank you for being a beacon of light and for giving them hope!
