Experiencia fantástica: I went to Minor Emergency in Denton about 6 months ago while I was visiting family. I had some health complications, and decided to go to Minor Emergency since it is very close to my family's home. I saw a nurse practitioner, (John, I think?), and he listened and was very compassionate and helped me with my health issues. He even called in a prescription, and the pharmacy was right next door. All of that took only about an hour! I would definitely go back to this place. Bonus....cute gift shop in the pharmacy too. I spent some money there!

Dr. Blankenau is not only extremely knowledgeable, but very compassionate. He has understood my numerous ailments over the years, and he has treated them with great results.
Experiencia fantástica: Wow... This place is amazing. Shout out to John M. I believe he is the NP there and he really helped me out with my female troubles. If you have a UTI, like I did or have another minor issue like a cold or stomach bug I highly recommend this place to get you the help you need. Thankfully this place wasn't swamped when I went because they got me in and out quickly and the staff was super friendly. Thanks you guys at MED.

Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend Minor Emergency of Denton. The staff is very friendly and helpful and actually care for their patients. If they cannot help you here its typically because you came to an urgent care for an Emergency room at a hospital problem; which can be frustrating to those who do NOT know the difference. I am definitely making this place my go to place for all my urgent care needs.
Experiencia fantástica: Major Kudos to MED. I could not get in with my primary for sinus allergies crud and this place helped me out. Dr Blankenau is great and very friendly as well as the rest of his staff, especially his front receptionist Jacie. I could not recommend this place more. I did have a high deductible at the end of my visit but that is really on me not there fault. Mucho Mucho Gracias MED.
Experiencia negativa: Absolutely useless. I came in with a stye on my lower eyelid. Idiot doctor gave me a list of ophthalmologists and charged me $120 to do so. Did nothing else. I went home, brushed some isopropyl 70% on my eyelid and lanced it with a sterilized needle. That was four years ago. My eye is fine. He could have just said I can’t help you and cut me loose.

Experiencia negativa: Update: as of Feb 6, 2024 I FINALLY paid off this bill. You can see I posted this review TWO YEARS AGO. I have been paying on a bill I should have never had with the last $10 out of my disability check every month because these people LIED TO ME and said my insurance was accepted both in the office and when I called. They KNEW i was on disability and couldnt afford a bill and they lied to me anyway. A bill for a service that was WRONG and I still had to go elsewhere for help because they screwed up. DO NOT GO HERE. THEY WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING TO TRICK YOU INTO MAKING PAYMENTS. YOU WON'T GET REAL HELP. THERES A REASON THIS PLACE HAS SUCH BAD REVIEWS. I TRULY HOPE THEY GET SHUT DOWN. I COULDNT HATE THIS PLACE MORE. Original review: I called in advance before going in to ask about my insurance. I explained my insurance in detail, they said yes they take it. Yes I can come in. The appointment was fine (minus the doctor speaking to me like a 4 year old, but he said sorry he had kids.) Now I have been sent a very large bill I cannot pay, because despite everyone telling me my insurance was fine, it actually wasn't accepted at all. Please understand that when front desk staff is uneducated or not knowledgeable about what they really do and don't take, that your personal mistakes are severely costing the folks you're hurting. You're sending large bills to people on disability because front desk doesn't know what they're talking about, so I now have to pay financially for someone else's mistake. If I knew the name of the person I spoke to, I'd have dealt with this in person. Not ok. Your mistakes are not my financial burden to bear. Do better. Edit: after speaking with others and reading other reviews, I'm fully convinced that lying about insurance to get people to come in is a common practice for them to get more money.sad I'm not the only one with this story, rather far from it.
Experiencia negativa: First, I have to say that the front office staff and the check in MA or CNA were very kind. I have about 4 years of experience in Medical Admin and know the hard work it is. This complaint is not towards them. Again, they were all very kind and concerned. But this morning makes my 2nd horrible experience with the actual practitioner on duty (John I think was his name, NP), and I am forever done with Minor Emergency of Denton if he is employed there. I should have known when I heard the phrase "What do you want me do to for you?" with arms crossed and leaning back in the chair for the 2nd time, empathy was the last thing we were going to experience. This morning, I was charged $210 to this practice to do absolutely nothing for my child who was exhibiting mostly flu and/or strep symptoms. Because my son cited some pain on his right side when the NP was pushing all over his stomach, he told me to take him straight to ER as he might have appendicitis that he could not/would not do anything more for him. Thankfully my PCP was home and able to talk to me and directed me to take him to a different Minor Emergency specifically for children. So, we went to Just 4 Kids down the road (I had no clue it existed, or I would have gone there first). Guess what?!? Turns out he has Flu A. They were very attentive, empathetic, and conducted flu and strep test immediately. Because he was not experiencing other symptoms like throwing up, loss of appetite, neither constipation or diarrhea, holding his stomach and complaining of sharp pains, the NP there told me to just watch him and lovingly lectured my son to make sure to communicate with me whenever he feels this side pain. My son has not been feeling well for 3 days and had never complained to me about right side stomach pain. Also, I walked out paying $150, so $60 less than what you charged to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. And although I can't be 100% certain, I'm almost positive he was the practitioner I had with my first bad experience there. Approximately two years ago I had hurt my back doing yard work and came to the office on a Saturday is excruciating pain (could barely walk and ended up borrowing crutches from a friend that same day). I'm almost positive it was the same NP because before he even examined me, I remember the same question...What do you want me to do for you? He immediately made me feel like he thought I was there just to try and get a Rx for drugs. I remember leaving embarrassed for coming to seek help. Turns out via an MRI I had herniated a disc in my lumbar spine. I just cannot recommend Minor Emergency of Denton to anyone.
Experiencia negativa: They have no respect for you. I just left from this place. My son had a sports injury, and I decided to give this office a try after finding them online, calling them to inquire about insurance and appointment availability. When we arrived there was a lady and a man in the waiting room, we managed to get processed before the man finished filling out his forms. The young lady at the front desk was very professional, friendly and efficient, even after we were disrespected and I asked for my copay back, so that I could take my son to Texas Health Breeze Urgent care next door, where we received remarkably high quality service and had us in and out in 33 minutes. Back to ME Denton; we sat in the waiting room for about 10-15 minutes (not bad) during this time they called the lady back and then she left. Then the MCT Kristen called for us, she was kind and professional, at first. After 30 minutes sitting in the exam room I heard the provider talking to a customer in the room next to us and then heard them saying goodbye. Another 30 minutes went by, I opened the door to see Kristen, a second woman and a provider sitting around laughing and chatting. I was asked if I could be helped and I politely inquired about the wait time, as we had been sitting in an examination room for an hour. I was told it was going to be a bit longer they were finishing up in room #2 (we were in the very next room #3). I looked into room 2 and remembered when I heard them talking and exiting, then asked who would be seeing my son. Kristin said it would be him. Later I found out the he provider is actually John Mulford, APRN. I asked John if he knew how much longer it would be as I wanted to get back to work, he said soon, and suggested that I could leave and come back. I was shocked and politely declined since we were already here and I have paid. He said that I could get my money back, I replied that I would like to have my son seen, so I asked if he was on break. Trying to get a better idea of how much longer. He answered no, and said it’ll be just a few more minutes. I went back into the exam room, leaving the door open for air because it was hot, which is fully within my right to do so and as I have done in the past when feeling claustrophobic. Kristen comes to close the door, stating that the door needs to be shut for HIPPA rules. There’s no healthcare worker in the room with us and no other patients around. I told her that it’s too hot and I felt like passing out and I would like the door open until a healthcare provider comes in. I’ve never had an issue from any medical office with this request before. It was visually apparent that she becoming aggressive by grabbing the door away from me, she looked angry and like she did not care for the person she was looking at. At that point I recognized attitudes and behaviors that are not indicative of a business and practices that I am going to support, and have the audacity to have the Ten Commandments hanging on the wall. I do not recommend this place to anyone. What I saw is that the Nurse Practitioner and the medical assistant do not care about anything but sitting around and chatting and made me feel like I was dealing with racism.
Experiencia negativa: I went to minor emergency today , I was feeling pretty bad, they took me back pretty fast but once I got in a room I waited an hour so I got my things and left. No one noticed nor did they say anything.
Experiencia positiva: I went here on Friday since my primary doctor wasn’t able till two weeks from Friday. What started as a cough and runny nose. I went to the front desk and checked in. Unfortunately they didn’t take my insurance unless it’s PPO so beware. I had to pay out of pocket. I was already feeling horrible, so I said to do everything. I told John M. who I thought was the doctor ⚕️ which is the FNP smh to give me everything. I got tested for flu and COVID. Flu came out negative but COVID was positive. After that I was just told to get over the counter items. Wasn’t even prescribed antibiotics. And paid $267.00 for pretty much nothing. Went to community pharmacy next door to get some stuff since I was already frustrated. They were kind and understanding. But now I’m hesitant on coming back. Minor Emergency used to not be like this before. Usually the nurse would come in then their doctor for an evaluation. Just feels like the patient care and understanding is declining.
Experiencia negativa: They require you to present a physical copy of the insurance card for every visit. They won't accept digital copies and it doesn't matter if you were just here.

Experiencia negativa: I tried again hoping it changed. Stay away this doctor does absolutely nothing. Seems like he is the only dr ever there. He does not care. Still does nothing. If you go too soon it’s too early if you go days it’s too late and virus is passing. It’s always a stinking virus I literally just laugh how he continues to make excuses. Why go to work if you don’t care about patients getting better. Someone needs to investigate this place. The bald doctor I personally think he does nothing. He doesn't even check anything the nurse does all the work and the doc states Its always a virus and we end more sick and having to go else where. Not impressed

Manufacturers of certain medicines have indication and usage guidelines which sometimes affect the window of opportunity to treat an illness. I know this can be very frustrating. Experiencia positiva: The only issue we had was several people there for a DOT physical and came in having to pee and the front desk says you have to wait for a nurse instead of just showing you to the restroom. Made us and another person wait an hour having to pee.
Experiencia negativa: My family and I have come to ME of D for several years, and I'm about done with them. We took our 6 year old in because he recently contracted the flu from school. He had had a fever for several days, his congestion was thick and green, and it was very clear he had a sinus infection, as they run in our family during allergy season and the like. But classic ME of D, they never want to prescribe antibiotics! Not even a steroid shot either! The fever is manageable with Motrin, but the Doctor we saw said "If you think it's that serious, take him to the ER." It clearly was not that serious, and definitely classified as a MINOR emergency, hence why we came here. So what, we wait all this time (1.5 hrs) to be told you won't do anything for him, and we pay for that visit? And you tell us to go incur another bill somewhere else? Ridiculous. And the fever stayed for several days after visiting ME of D. Dr. Blankenau is a good doctor and that's what kept us going there for years, but we didn't get him this time and it's a total crapshoot if he'll be the one who actually treats you. EDIT: I've been asked to call Denise. I'm not calling, there is nothing further to discuss other than this: you guys don't prescribe antibiotics, other places in Denton do. Simple as that. My entire family needed antibiotics, which we got AFTER visiting you, Minor Emergency of Denton, who told us no. Not to mention that I myself have been denied antibiotics at ME of D and been given steroid shots on multiple visits (that did nothing) FOR YEARS. I went to CareNow for the first time this past Saturday and got antibiotics for my sinus infection, no questions asked. If I had come visited you guys, I already know what the answer would've been because of what you refused to give my son and what you've refused to give me for years. You guys are on some kind of righteous not-writing-antibiotics-prescriptions crusade that the rest of the town is just not doing. You are 3 minutes from our house and we are never coming back.

Experiencia negativa: I'm self pay, my son and i had bad fevers coughing, chill, body aches throat the works. They said it was prob flu, we tested came back negative. Did prescribe flu medicine. Went home and in the evening tested my self for covid was positive, waited til next day again positive. So I then called the clinic to see if I can get prescribed for covid instead although I already paid close to 600 for both son and I with flu medicine. They told me I would have to be seen again and be tested positive there to get medicine for covid. Really is a shame. Didn't get any kind of anything really by going here except being $600 less now! Update, to respond to the answer from clinic. I made the nurse on the phone aware that I was self pay. And not once did she advise I would not have to pay to get seen again.

Experiencia negativa: This is without hesitation the last place I would go. I waited 3 hours to have a COVID test, streptococcus test, X-ray taken. The doctor was obnoxious and rude. He didn’t introduce himself when he entered the exam room and plopped onto a chair. Neither the doctor or nurse came back into the exam room to advise me of the test results. We left the exam room after waiting another 30 to 45 minutes. I told the nurse that I had waited long enough. She asked the doctor if he was going back in to speak to me. He didn’t have the courtesy to look at me or address me and mumbled an answer, while looking at his computer, keeping his back towards me. I was able to get the test results by phone. Very poor representation of a medical facility.
I am so very sorry for your visit. What you have describe is not how we want our patients to feel or be treated when they choose our clinic. The wait time is longer than usual and I am looking into why we had such a long wait that day. We always give test results prior to the patient leaving. I am also looking into this. Experiencia negativa: We moved recently to the area and this was our first visit to this urgent care for my wife’s broken ankle. The front office were outright unwelcoming and made us feel like an outsider. We sat patiently for 30 mins and there was no communication on wait time or what’s next. When i asked they said all rooms are busy and we waited further for 20 mins but again no communication or basic courtesy to say sorry about the wait or just give some tentative time. Then out of frustration i said we can’t wait more as my wife is in pain and they non chalantly said “ok” and we just came out. They simply didn’t care even though they are supposedly providing urgent care. I went to CareNow nearby and everything went smoothly.
I am so very sorry for your experience at our clinic. This is not one of those reviews we look forward to but I appreciate it because it gives us an opportunity to look at some areas that we need to improve on. Experiencia negativa: This place is slower than any other clinic I have been to, they make Care Now look fast. Think about going to the hospital emergency room for a cold on Christmas day and that is equal to my experience here. Absolutely no clue how they won best of Denton. Went in for a work drug test. 4 people that arrived after I filled my paperwork out were seen before me.

Experiencia fantástica: Typical DOT physical. Got here right at 8 in and out in less than an hour. Had to stay a lil long due to trying to get my CPAP usage sent to them. Make sure you come prepared if you’re using one.
Experiencia fantástica: My son saw one of the doctors after a baseball injury that required staples to close a cut... and on another occasion he was seen for a sprained ankle. We were always very happy with the services. We had minimal wait times and the doctors & nurses were friendly and empathetic to my sons anxiety. I'd recommend Minor Emergency of Denton to all my friends and family!

Experiencia fantástica: It took about 2 hours from walking in to seeing the doc. That being said, id like to think if mine had been more of an actual emergency maybe they would have bumped me forward? Either way, I went in due to some chemical reaction/allergy that turned my face into a red acne and hive infested nightmare over night. Not only did he nail the diagnoses, which I was worried about because technically you'd be better off seeing a dermatologist, but the over the counter treatment he gave me is working out much better than what my dermatologist had advised. And the prescription actually COMPLETELY cleared up my face and all symptoms in less than 24 hours. So while the wait was a bit long feeling, the service was definitely worth it, and Everyone was more than friendly and cheerful the whole time. Hats off to you guys.

Experiencia fantástica: After seeing multiple providers through this week (Mar28,29) was seen here 4/1 and the issue I was having was diagnosed, addressed and resolved quickly and efficiently. I have been dealing with this issue since Sunday and finally it is resolved!!! I am beyond grateful as I was on the verge of thinking I would have to go to an Emergency Room or wait until Monday to try and get a referral from my primary care in order to get treated. Kudos to the staff and dr !!!!!

As of a month ago I visited this clinic for a DOT physical my blood sugar was high A1C was high It was at 10.5 The doctor on duty denied me for my physical I was upset but then again I'm a 60 year old man now realizing it at the time she probably saved my life. I went back today and passed my physical. If she would have passed me at the time I would not be in the position I am in now my A1c Yes now 7.8 an getting better I know it's unusual but I wanna thank the doctor that turned me down truly out of my heart thank you.

Experiencia fantástica: Came in on a Monday morning with a respiratory infection. Only had an hour wait which was a fraction of the other urgent cares in town. Staff was friendly and attentive. It’s no surprise they have won best of Denton awards for the last seven years.

I have looked into your time with us today Mr. Gorham and I see that it was a 2 hour total time from check-in to check-out. I am so sorry for this. Sometimes the times are out of our control. I only gave 4 starts bc I did wait in the waiting room for 45 minutes and it's not an ideal wait time but, it is something that I understand happens
Experiencia negativa: I was just turned away from this facility because they had seen the allotted number of sick people per day. They told me me to come back tomorrow . I was not requesting a Covid test . Simple cough, fluid in ears, etc. IMHO, they should be closed down. Your doors were open at a walking clinic and turned patients away with an empty waiting room.
Experiencia negativa: Waited forever and the staff had a foul attitude when asking how much longer the wait would be (we waited for over an hour). When getting consulted the doctor explained I had nothing wrong with me even though I’m peeing blood. Do not go here!
Experiencia negativa: Been here over an hour and a half. Ladies at front desk have poor attitudes. Came in for dot test no where on form says form to take test must be printed out, they make it seem like your stupid because you don't have the form printed out, i have the emailed form i recieved from my employer and all the form states on bottom of paper is to bring in authorization number and photo I.D. no where else on the form does it say must have physical copy of said form.
Experiencia negativa: This place is just so bad when it comes to service and it’s super over priced. I came in because I was having issues with allergies and was only given a steroid shot that did not help. One week later I called because my eyes have been getting worse and they told me to come back so that they could check me again. I come in the next day and they are saying I have to pay more than $100 dollars again just because they are going to “reevaluate” me. This is ridiculous, I shouldn’t have to pay for a service twice just because they were not effective on treating it properly the first time.
Experiencia negativa: Arrived at 8:00 AM. Didn't actually get seen by the provider until a quarter after 10:00 AM. Spent over an hour in the exam room waiting for a two minute once-over. Poked my head out twice during that period to see what was going on. There was a group of healthcare employees just standing and sitting around talking...all I got was sheepish looks and lame excuses. I was forced to come here due to the contractual obligations of my workplace. Hopefully, you'll have a better choice because, your time will not be valued.
Experiencia negativa: I went in on Monday to get tested for covid. Unfortunately my primary was closed so I could not go there. I got there at 8:30 and did not leave until 12:45. Over a four hour wait!!!! When the nurse came in to do the covid test she said the swab was for flu and covid. She barley stuck it in my nose and pulled it right out. Every covid test I have ever had they swab it for about three seconds in each nostril. It was probably 5 mins or so and the doctor came back in and said it was negative. I had to ask for a note for work because he said it should be fine for me to go back. I was running a high fever, with body aches and chills. I then waited 30 mins just to check out. There was one guy in front of me waiting to checkout who probably waited about 40 mins or so. I said something to the lady behind the desk because we were sick and did not feel good and both of us had already been there for over four hours. She was very combative and rude. I was not pleased at all with the experience. After leaving here I heard rapid med was taking walk ins so I went there, and they said the test that was done was not performed correctly. They had me in and out in 45 mins and I was POSITIVE. This place was going to send me back to work. Get it together and be kinder to people. I Understand your busy, but there is a thing called bedside manner and treating people with common decency.
Experiencia negativa: Lost my insurance card during my move. My responsibility...even when I offered to pay out of pocket the lady was hesitant to give options for payment. The state I was in caused me to be dizzy. I couldn't even be seen by a Dr. Or billed later. I would've gladly paid out of pocket. After trying to call to get my insurance and feeling horrible I gave up in the parking lot when inside the urgent care and asked for me I'd card back and just went home. I've never had th isotope of issues even during the days I didn't have insurance.

I never asked to see the doctor and I actually didn’t see the doctor I saw the Physicians assistant. If they would have told me that to begin with I would have waited on CVS. I even joked with the woman about how shady it was and she laughed and said other businesses should do the same.
Experiencia negativa: I have gone to this Minor Emergency Clinic several times over the last few years, and have been impressed with the operation, and the doctors I saw. I won't be going there again. My wait time after being put in an examination room was similar to other reviewers. I don't know how long I was there, but I actually thought I had been forgotten. Finally, I opened the door and asked how much longer it would be. I was told that I was next. Shortly after that, a FNP walked in. I'm sorry, but not impressed. He prescribed some OTC meds for me. I called my doctor to run his course of treatment by her, and she contradicted what he had told me, and prescribed another course of action. Needless to say, I will never go back to this clinic. Very disappointed.
Experiencia negativa: I arrived for a dot physical at 8:30 am. After 30 minutes or so I was called back and we started the exam. The nurse was polite and efficient. I waited in the exam room for the nurse practitioner for 45 minutes. After that I opened my exam door. A different nurse came to close my door and said it would be much longer. I told him it’s been 45 minutes since someone had seen me. He responds that he is sorry that I feel that wait is too long. Not even just a apology that it’s taking so long. I responded that anyone would object to a 45 minute wait if there is only one person in the waiting room. I watched three people go in the back and check out in less then half an hour. He continued to repeat that he is sorry I feel that way. After that I realized that I had been there for and hour and a half. I just walk out and went to another provider. I have used Dr Blankenau’s office for my dot physical for my entire career. I did see him today.
I am so sorry Mr. Pollard for you experience at our clinic this morning. Unfortunately, we cannot always control longer wait times due to the severity of the patients that were ahead of you. I understand the perception of no one else in the waiting room or patients coming and going quickly, however, we offer services that do not require a provider so the nurse only visits are much faster. We might not have any patients in the waiting room because they are already in exam rooms prior to you being in an exam room. I do understand your frustration for the long wait and again I am sorry for that. I appreciate your feedback as it gives us an opportunity to improve our services.
Experiencia negativa: I went in for an eye infection and was told that there is nothing they could do for me until Monday because “it should go away on its own” even though my eye was halfway swollen shut. I then received a bill in the mail a whole entire month after because they said that they didn’t charge me enough the first time even though they had my insurance for 15 minutes while I was there waiting in the waiting room. This is the WORST care that I have ever received and would NOT recommend to anyone whatsoever. I would recommend paying the extra $20 and going to a real urgent care because this place is horrible.

Experiencia negativa: I waited FIVE 1/2 hours!!!!!!!!! Once I was back I told the doctor I was pretty sure I have bronchitis. He said that he wanted me to take an x-ray I told him I'm pretty sure I'm not that bad and all I really need are some antibiotics. He said "you can either take an x-ray and get some antibiotics or go to the ER." I did not agree with him. I felt pressured into getting an X-ray and that the provider did NOT listen to me. After all the tests and chest X-rays I ended up having bronchitis-_- . I'm not happy with this place and I DO not recommend. Also, if you're going to get a covid test, do not tell them you have symptoms. They make you wait longer. Another two individuals and I found that out after we were the LAST ones there.

I was seen for a cut and the glue job didn’t hold more than 3 hours so I called and explained that to the nurse I was transferred to.. she said I could come in the following day at no charge so they could wrap it again.. so I did as instructed and came in they wrapped it and I left.. I had already gotten down the road and they called me and asked if I could come back because they didn’t take my blood pressure or weigh me.. so I went back even though I have a very busy schedule.. When I was about to leave I saw the doctor that I had seen the day before and told her that I in fact had not had a tetanus shot recently and should’ve gotten one when I was there earlier and they said that it would cost $80. When I Went to the front desk to check out the lady said it was gonna be $280. I said that I was told the visit wasn’t going to cost anything because they were rewrapping the wound I was seen for yesterday.. the front desk lady said rudely that the total is 280$ like she didn’t hear me.. so I explained again and offered to pay the 80$ for the shot and “she said why do you care you aren’t paying for it” I said it doesn’t matter who’s paying for it you guys said I wasn’t gonna get charge for the visit and some lady in the back room said only charge him for the shots so she did and I left. Now they’re trying to collect the other $200. Update as of January 1, 2022: I’m even more disappointed that you are now sending me collections notices… this is for a visit I was told would be at no charge

Experiencia negativa: My husband and I have been coming here for years and it seems the past six months the quality of service has taken a huge hit. I took my daughter in to be seen and we waited for 20 minutes before I was told the front office did not receive insurance information (now has to be faxed and not emailed). The office suggested I download a fax app (which I did) waited another 20 minutes before I was told once again it was not received. Finally she said she would pull the insurance information from my account. I’ve already waited almost 45 minutes so at this point we left and I took my daughter elsewhere. The providers have always been awesome but the front desk service is just not what it used to be.
I am so sorry for you experience with our front staff. We make every effort to keep your health and personal information secure. If you happen to forget your insurance card then faxing the information to us is the most secure way. Believe me when I say that we do it for the patient's security and not our own convenience. I completely understand your frustration though and will be discussing with my front staff on how they can still maintain our policies but still be as helpful as they can to the patients and not to wait so long in letting the patient know if we have received their information. Experiencia positiva: Unfortunately, my own doctor could not see me for an urgent care need. I called another clinic in the area and was told the wait would be 4-5 hours! Yikes! I called this clinic mid-day and the admin said the wait was currently about 45 minutes, but could changed quickly. I grabbed a good book and prepared for a 4-5 hour wait. I was greeted by friendly staff members who got me checked in efficiently. There was only one other couple in the lobby. I only waited about 20 minutes or less before I was called back. The nurse and the doctor were pleasant, personable, listened to my concerns and got me the treatment I needed.

They don’t rush you out, they listen and provide real solutions. If they can’t fix you it’s because you need to go to a hospital. Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been going to M.E.D. for many years. I have never had a bad experience. The front staff, nurses and providers are wonderful. Sure they have longer wait times since the Covid pandemic. EVERY urgent clinic is booked. One urgent care told me to register then come back with my 3 children at 7pm only to sit in the (small) waiting room with at least 5 hours worth of patients who are ALL being tested for Covid. If we didn’t have it going in at 7pm, we certainly would have had it after being exposed to so many people who all have Covid symptoms. On what planet does that even make sense?! At Minor Emergency of Denton, the first day I went in about 3 hours before closing and was told they were booked for the day. Not their fault!! They can only take so many patients. They told me to come back as early as possible the next morning. I returned around 10am, registered and went home to relax. 2 hours later they called me and we returned, waited 20-30 minutes and were called to be seen. The waiting room was not full at all and everyone was social distanced. While we were being seen, the staff was very caring and kind. We felt like we were their priority for sure. The Dr took plenty of time with us, explained everything and never made me feel silly for questions we had. I know they must get worn down and frustrated with the increase in patients they see due to Covid, but I never would have known it. Great job!

You can tell that the Dr's and nurses really care and they take their time with each patient. Everyone is really nice, their prices are very reasonable, and I can tell that they are doing their best to get people seen as quickly as possible. We highly recommend this place!

I did not have to wait long to be seen and when I did go back everything went smoothly as the nurse recorded my symptoms. The diagnosis was very informative and I received immediate treatment to help resolve my issue. Very impressed and would gladly trust them again!

Legacy Er in Coppell got me in and out in 25 minutes.

Not very polite and will never return. They proudly display their third best plaques on the wall. That is too high of a mark for that site.

I called the office and spoke to the lady in charge of billing/insurance she was no help over the phone, so I decided to go to the office in person to get my insurance issues fix since they charged out the wrong codes and I got stuck with a big bill when my insurance could have taken care of it if they would off matched the codes correctly to the services I received! All she said (insurance lady) was “there is nothing to fix” if my insurance didn’t cover it wasn’t her fault! So then I asked to speak to a manager or physician, she proceeded to tell me they weren’t available! I called my insurance and was told they charged out the wrong codes and didn’t match the service I received!

Now wouldn't it have been nice if the website or any signage in the establishment would have stated that 'you won't take it'? Does it take an hour to discover that you won't take Medicare when I HANDED YOU MY MEDICARE CARD!! And by the way, your website lists MEDICARE and UNITED HEALTHCARE as insurance you accept! Is it that difficult to hire a competent staffer at the front desk to weed out us "undesirables" so we don't clutter up your already crowded waiting room? So a ZERO would be a better rating if available.

Experiencia negativa: I am extremely upset by the service here! I have come in here 3 times to be seen and turned around at the door. I get off work at 6pm and can never come any earlier. The last 2 times I left work early arriving at 4pm and still could not be seen. I was giving a return card and was still told the limit was hit for today at 4pm when the clinic closes at 8pm??? This does not seem to be a fair service at all. If I am supposed to be guaranteed a spot and still denied. So not only did I waste my time but also my money from work.

I knew this was a problem for our patients that needed to come in later due to work. I have since solved the problem and we are now seeing patients all the way up to our closing times. Experiencia fantástica: During this pandemic we all need to show a little grace. I arrived at the clinic at 4:45 PM. There were about six or seven people ahead of me. I waited outside the waiting room. Where I was the only person there. But the people that were waiting inside the waiting room were definitely social distancing. It did take a while for me to see the doctor. Maybe an hour an hour and a half. But when I did see the doctor she was very attentive. As well as the nurse aids that were there as well. They were extremely helpful. And I just thought after such a long day of seeing so many patients. They were still professional, courteous and attentive.

Took about 30 minutes from time I was called back, answered questions from nurse, covid tested, consultation with the doctor who was very kind, and then got results before I left. Very satisfied. EDIT: they just replied and used the excuse of “high patient volumes during these unprecedented times”. Here’s an idea: REMOVE CHAIRS FROM THE WAITING ROOM. HAVE SOMEONE ASSIGNED TO SANITIZING. I don’t know who runs this place, but it would be nice if they had a brain, and they were able to use it.
Mr. Huneycutt I am so sorry that you did not have a good experience when coming to our clinic. During this pandemic, we are seeing an unusually high patient volume. We always offer for our patients to wait in their cars and we will call them when we are ready for them. We even encourage patients to wait at home and we will call them when we are ready for them to head back to the clinic. Unfortunately, when we have a very high patient volume, social distancing in the waiting room can get hard. They will make you wait for hours on end, no updates, and they will also pack the waiting room full of people no regard for social distancing or required safety precautions.
Experiencia fantástica: So thankful to the MED staff when our college age grandson had an allergic reaction to something he ate which caused difficulty in breathing. The Dr. treated him immediately and gave follow up instructions.
Experiencia negativa: Wife went for a Covid test after feeling crummy for 3 days. Test was negative (thank goodness). Dr or PA or NP wouldn’t even do a full exam. Basically said “your test is negative but you have the symptoms So I’m marking it down as a Covid positive with negative test.” Wife asked about some antibiotics or something for ear pain. “Doctor” basically told her sorry but no go quarantine for 9 days. She left and went to another local Doctors office and was given a full exam, not just O2 sats and lung sounds (which were clear), and told yeah, the test was negative because you don’t have Covid you have a double ear infection. Would not recommend this facility or it’s staff. Will be making a complaint to our insurance and the TMB as well. Their conduct definitely did not follow acceptable standard of care.
Experiencia negativa: Came here for rapid Covid testing via PCP. When I walked in and submitted my paperwork I was told it was an 1.5hr wait. I waited that length and walked back inside to ask where I was at in line at this time, I then was told I had a 2-2.5 hr wait longer. Seats are side by side and arm rests touching, there was no nurse or clerk that comes out to spray or wipe anything down. If you walked into this place with out the virus you are certainly walking out with it.

Tried to go today as they show WALK INS to be fine at 6:00 with the closing time at 10:00 but even tho you don’t have to have an appointment and show up 4 hours before closing they can’t see you today unless you have and Appt!!! So you NEED and appointment but Walk in are fine..

I wouldn't trust them with an xray for sure. They did not bill my insurance correctly, and wouldn't even give me a copy of the Xray without paying for it. My son's regular doctor caught the issue on the first visit! I would not trust them with any care, nd plan to file a complaint with the state medical board. Never again.
Experiencia negativa: Do not come here for Covid testing unless you really want to get it. I came here originally because they do the rapid results testing but I found out most places aren’t doing them because of how inaccurate they are. As a medical facility I would have expected better protocols in place. You have to wait hours to be checked in and hours to then be seen. The waiting room was not configured for the pandemic. All the chairs are the next to b each other so that means at least one to two seats can not be used if you want to maintain social distancing. Everyone is using the same pens as they sign paperwork. I saw numerous people sign paperwork and then put the pen right back in the can and not use hand sanitizer. Everyone in there is there for Covid testing so that doesn’t seems like a good practice. I ended up leaving and making an appointment at Caremore and what a difference! You check in online and wait at home, they call you when a room is available for you to drive in so when you get there it has a max of maybe two people in the facility. They also have two cans of pens up front-clean and dirty. They even have masks for anyone who needs one. The staff was friendly and pleasant at minor emergency and what a tuff job they have. I seriously feel bad for them and hope they are being valued as employees under those stressful conditions. Caremore does not do rapid results testing but in my opinion is the much better choice.

Experiencia positiva: My daughter got hurt and needed x-rays so we decided to go to the minor ER instead of the doctors office. We have been here multiple times and have only good things to say. My only issue this last visit was it took a lot longer than it should have. We were there for over 2 hours. But other than that, it’s always been a pleasant experience.
Experiencia negativa: They do not test when you first go to the office. Needed to get covid testing for myself and my kids. Was told to come in early. Once I got there we filled out the required forms and waited in the car. After about 45 mins they called me in and informed me our appointment would be in about 3-4 hours! Seems like it would be much safer to fill out the info online instead of making a trip to the office but they said you can't do that. So it ended up taking almost 5hrs to get tested! On the plus side the doctor and nurse we dealt with were very pleasant. If it wasn't for them I would have given 1 star.

Or the way it was going perhaps never being seen before 10 o clock closing. Experiencia fantástica: I needed stitches on my right foot and rushed in just a few minutes (9:45pm) before M.E.D. Was closing at 10pm. They were so nice and quickly treated my injury. A few stitches and 40 minutes later is was home. Thank you to the entire staff at M.E.D.

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter was sick and her PC was booked solid. My biggest concern was if she had the flu. We arrived and from the front desk to the doctor everyone was so friendly and helpful. Definitely will come here again if needed! Highly recommend!
Experiencia fantástica: My problem was treated quickly and to my satisfaction. The doctor was knowledgeable, professional, and pleasant. M.E.D. takes my Medicare insurance too. I think it's a great place to go for urgent care.

I’ve gone in several times not knowing what’s wrong with me and they do everything they can to give me the answers, and help me out. Definitely recommend coming here if you are sick! Experiencia fantástica: I have always had a great experience visiting Minor Emergency. They have been able to correctly diagnose me when my PCP could not. I will be going here until my insurance decides they will no longer cover them!
