Experiencia fantástica: Downey Post Acute is a trusted place to have my relatives cared for. The staff is excellent especially under the supervision of DON Maria and ADON Jennifer L. They run a tight ship and make sure that all patients are given the quality of care they deserve.

Experiencia negativa: Rosa from admissions is extremely rude. She began talking to me all annoyed. I had called a day before and was told there was space available, but Rosa began asking me questions about my mom and when she heard the conditions she then said there was no availability and would call me as soon as there was something available. We all know that won’t happen. It’s better to just be honest. Nobody had talked me before how this woman spoke to me. What a shame that in a situation when individuals are already going through a tough time you get to be treated like this by staff to top it off.

Experiencia positiva: One nurse almost overdosed me on my thyroid medicine, which I had already taken, she told me it was my blood pressure medicine! At the same time I asked what a larger pill was and she told me it was my water pill. She left the medicine on the table, I called the director of nursing, and showed her the medicine, I asked if that was a water pill, she said no, and it wasn’t even my medicine! I am concerned for other patients there who might not know their medicine like I do. When I put the call button on, very frequently no one came, I called the front desk numerous times trying to get help. I eat a special diet, and even though the cooks had instructions on my food, they often sent the wrong food. In my opinion the physical therapy was not very good, and occupational therapy a complete waste on time. It’s very difficult to get sufficient sleep in there, which is so important to healing. The mattress on the bed kept sliding, there was nothing to hold it onto the bed. I mentioned several times a tile on the floor was sticking up and nothing was done about it, until the last day when I tripped on it, they came in and taped it down. As soon as my knee healed enough that I could walk with a walker I checked myself out. I would like to add that I do appreciate all those who helped me when I couldn’t walk, I especially appreciate Maria, the director of nursing who tried her best to help with every problem that came up.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give this place a -0 I would!!! Horrible, rude customer service!!! My father was here and let me tell you how bad he was taken care of: left with dirty diapers, no showers and the staff is so rude and try to argue with you when you have a concern. Please please please do not let your family member stay here!!!! This place should not have the people they have working here they can not work with the elders. I honestly don’t know who would give this place a good rating!

Experiencia fantástica: I want to start by saying how great full iam with this place and how much the staff has done for my grandma in particular the social worker Ms. Evelin Hernandez and the director of nursing Ms. Maria Wilson they booth have made this process really easy for my family and have answered all the questions that my family has had it’s hard accepting that your family member can no longer be back to how they were before i admire you booth im forever in dept. I highly recommend this place and having these two ladies help thru every strep of the way has been wonderful my family will forever be great full for the little things you guys did for my nana ❤️

The attention to detail she provided in helping her get her speech back was astonishing. I must say, they all have a shining personality that is reflected when they are working with their patients. Truly incredible rehab team with amazing chemistry. Experiencia positiva: I'm giving 4 stars because there is always room for improvement. Whenever I visit, I am very happy with the nurses taking care of my mom making her feel comfortable. My mom stayed for over a month to do rehab after her back surgery. The entire PT team most especially, Susan, Dominique, May, AJ, and Marco, are absolutely amazing, my mom gets very excited when it's time for her PT session. They are very sweet and considerate with my mom's needs. Thank you so much! It has been a pleasure meeting your team!

Experiencia negativa: ‼️terrible place!! ‼️ Nobody does their job, the nurses do nothing, they do not provide services to their patients, they do not bathe them, they do not change their diapers. They can spend days with the same diaper and if that were not enough, patients can go days without eating because they forget to feed them that time. The place is garbage, if you have someone there, take them out immediately, they are in danger, and if you think about taking someone, please don't do it, look for other options. because if there are more better places Downey post acute is not safe, I have had a very bad experience with a family member who we had to remove immediately

Experiencia negativa: This is not the place for PT after an injury. This is more suited of elderly people who need assistance with day to day living. I could not leave fast enough. 5 hours after being delivered I knew this place was not for me. I had to wait another 7 hours before I could leave.

Experiencia negativa: This is the worst place to take a loved one that’s trying to get better after surgery. This is a nursing home only for elderly people NOT for regular people that need after care/surgery attention because they don’t give you that attention. My family member had to be transported to the ER from this place. This place didn’t listen nor pay attention to my loved one and because of this he went back to the ER for some infection he got here. It’s so chaotic inside. Don’t be fool by the nice pictures; the rooms are ugly and there’s a heavy dark feeling inside. It was horrible.

Experiencia fantástica: My uncle had great care at Downey Post Acute for two months after suffering from a heart attack and a stroke. He is unable to walk and they rehabilitated him to become more independent. We are grateful for my uncle's team of Doctors, nurses and rehabilitation workers. I would like to also thank his case manager Jasmin Rios for advocating for him and helping all our family go through this very stressful process.

Experiencia fantástica: I was a resident here at Downey Post acute. This is a very good place for you and your family members. Physical therapy work with you to get you back to the place where you live. The staff and everyone here is very friendly. Activities spring you puzzle and colors They have activities like bingo and art and crafts and etc.

Experiencia fantástica: Downey post acute is great place to bring your loved ones. The facility is clean and newly remodeled. The parking is great. They have great staff and rehab services! You will feel welcomed as soon as you walk in the door!

Mom was referred to Downey Post Acute and I have to say...we had a great experience. Nurses were prompt and on top of managing her pain. Rehab dept. was attentive and patient with her talking to her through her process and making her stay pleasant. Thank Downey Post Acute, you guys are the best!

Experiencia negativa: My mother was originally in a hospital later on was transferred to a rehab center for therapy. The nurses from this facility treated her bad as well as they said some hurtful things to her. Please don’t bring your loved ones here. It’s only day 2 and she’s being treated that way.
