Experiencia fantástica: Year after year I keep in touch with the amazing staff Tower Hill has and they never dissapoint. Thank you for being so caring! The renovations are absolutely amazing! But more than that they have a happy caring staff who have made me feel so welcome and special!

Experiencia positiva: My mother spent a little over a month at this facility, I had her discharged after they moved her to the second floor. I was told that this was for her safety and that she would be watched more closely. This was ABSOLUTELY NOT the case. There were patients constantly wandering into her room, one male even using the bathroom in her room, and the CNAs were hard to find. The staff was very loud when they congregated at the nurse's station. I was appalled by the language they used when having open conversations. She was cared for much better when she was on the first floor. This facility is actually one of the better facilities in the area as long as your loved one is on the first floor. I want to acknowledge Kammie, Director of Social Services. Kammie listened to my needs and did not hesitate to resolve any issues brought to her attention. She made the experience at this facility a lot easier to deal with by showing care and compassion. I also want to thank Rita and Keisha for always checking on my mother to make sure she was comfortable.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently toured this facility. It has been beautifully remodeled. Upon entering the building and throughout the halls I was greeted with warm a welcome. Staff were friendly and were very attentive to the residents. They have a spacious therapy gym! Amanda was able to answer all my questions, and was prompt returning my call.

Experiencia fantástica: I toured at Tower Hill with Amanda. The tour was informative, the building was clean and residents seemed well cared for. Tower Hill has in house dialysis, which is not common and is a desirable amenity. Looking forward to visiting again :)

Experiencia negativa: They do not follow standard protocol when you are fed up. They don't know how to process discharge. So glad other facilities are not putting up with this place! Once loved one is out, this horrible is a horrible place. My Brother had to have surgery for the sore left on him. They want you to call the administration and they are never there. The Social Worker is useless, because her title is Social Service. This place doesn't have a social worker. The patients seem to afraid to speak up. Please don't leave your loved one here and if you do, make sure you bring food and limited clothes as this place owes my Brother clothes. Socks, underwear, tshirts, pants with name in clothes. Do not send your loved one here. Clothes in the laundry never returns, even his favorite pillow cases. My Brother found the laundry staff giving someone else his T-shirt. Picture of his wrist that the wrist brace he had is no where to be found. Tylonel given doesn't go with his medicine and they let this go for days without giving him his brace. He hasn't found all clothes but id following the laundry trail. The ac units have mold and the old curtains sit directly on the mold, the ice maker was out, and ice room looks like it hasn't been clean, plus due to the ac not working the floors are slippery. Every time I visit I pick garbage off the floor, empty garbage bags, and best part is - wheelchairs doesn't have left and right foot rest - plus my Brother was suppose to receive a walker and hasn't received one, along with needing a knee brace due to injury at physical therapy. I picked Tower Hill for my Brother due to how nice Nicole was. I also picked Tower Hill due to the pictures, especially the room. I found the brochure was false advertising and no recent updates. The room my Brother is in is not nice, needs work, small TV, bathroom is old, small, and out dated. They put 3 beds in a tiny room. Attached is the advertised room -THIS IS NOT THE ROOM AT THIS PLACE AS THE ROOM IS Too SMALL for 3 PEOPLE IN THE ROOM! The room is very disappointing, the sheet had holes and stains, and the mattress is not meant for someone with a bad back. It is a very old and outdated building. There is an alternative menu of food available, but I was sent a picture of fish and vegetable. They don't wash up the patients regularly so body oder and smell.

Experiencia fantástica: Nicole Zonta has helped us make the transition for my aunt to the facility go so smoothly. She has gone WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND what I ever expected of her!!! She visited my aunt at Sherman Hospital several times so that she would see a familiar face when she arrived there yesterday. Nicole has been in constant communication with us every step of the way and made the process seamless by taking the burden off of my mother and me. She was even texting with me during the weekend on her time off to make sure that we had everything we needed. Nicole worked closely with the social worker at Sherman to ensure that my aunt's dialysis records and other information were sent immediately to her insurance and Medicaid to expedite the approval. Her bed wasn't in the room on Sunday when we dropped off all of her things, so we were unable to make it up. We really wanted my aunt to have a welcoming setting upon arrival so Nicole went over yesterday before she came and made up the entire bed with the linens and blankets we brought for her. Finally, Nicole also helped my mother when she became ill at the hospital while visiting my aunt. She called me right away, helped take my mother to the ER, and waited with her for about an hour while I came from work so she wouldn't be alone. Her kindness, compassion, and dedication to the facility is so appreciated.

Experiencia fantástica: I toured at Tower Hill with Krissi for my Grandfather. The tour was very informative, they had a lot to offer, in house dialysis is what really brought me there. The building was clean and smelled nice, the nurses seemed happy and I saw them interacting with families. I felt like it was a great place for my family. And I believe that krissi provided me with all the information and answered all my questions.

Experiencia positiva: I visited my grandmother yesterday evening for the first time and the facility was clean and the dining area was very nice. The only issue was when I was looking for my grandmother CNA, I walked over to the nurses station I said "hello" 3 times before anyone said anything, why because they all were sitting with their face in their cellular phone. Eventually she came to help. My grandmother is very happy there and I'm glad she is, but I really hope this don't happens on the regular. Which is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

What impressed me most was the caring interactions i saw between the residents and staff ! Residents were treated with respect and kindness. I really appreciated the caring approach i saw at Tower Hill.

Experiencia negativa: Lost my fathers jacket, shoes, glasses, wallet, clothes and other things. Pulled him out and asked about his medicare and social security payments and was told it will all switch back automatically to the original checking account. Never received any payments and once I was final able to get into his social security account saw that they were still receiving payments. Now what am I supposed to do? It's expensive to take care of someone.

In addition, they did an excellent job with the recent renovation to multiple areas of the building giving it a very modern look and feel. The staff that I have encountered have been very professional and they really care about their residents.

The building is nice and we were grateful to find a location that has on site dialysis. This is so beneficial for her, especially in the winter. She loves it there and we are very happy as well.

She explained the facility and care he would be receiving at her facility. Tower Hill is clean, the staff are very sweet and supportive. Experiencia fantástica: The facility is nice but the people connected to it is what makes it special. Individuals that do more than they have to for others and make some very hard times easier. Our inter action with Nicole (Sorry I forgot your last name) has been wonderful. She is one of those individuals that works with this facility that makes it different from other centers. Her attention to our situation was very personal and pleasant. From our family let me just say "Thank you for your time and your caring." It means more than you can understand.

Experiencia fantástica: My Dad was at Tower Hill for short term rehab care. The private room he had was so nice and the staff there all seemed so kind. My Dad improved and we were able to bring him home sooner than we thought we would. We are grateful for the care he received.

Experiencia negativa: Every time I go in, there’s something else wrong with my mom. I got a call today that she had a minor scratch between her buttocks. When I got there, there was a huge scratch and threw out her butt itself. The wound nurse had to come in and apply a bandage and topical medication in the form of a pad; not only that, they replaced her bed. They found that’s what’s causing it, but it should not take where I have to always show up for something to be done. These individuals in this building need to be trained. They’re not trained enough there. I don’t know what needs to happen if they need to be paid for the training or whatever the case may be I know you have to get in so many credit hours to keep your certifications, and all that all that. be done

Experiencia negativa: It's not anything as is shown in the brochure. Thís place is filthy, filthy!! Trash all over, the bedrooms are TINY. Have to share one closet. No place to set anything in the washroom, so small wheelchair doesn't fit in the there. Paper towel machine is 2 feet up from the sink. A walk thru the halls one comes in contact with all sorts of mechanical equipment, wheelchairs, hoyers, cardboard boxes, bumper pads on walls are hanging down. No recessed lites, having seen exposed wires. Nothing ready in the room. Roommate's items over to the other's bed. Have to ask repeatedly for water, tissues, pillows. Do not come here or put a loved one here. And no comment about the food. Staff seems half hearted. Stayà away! There are other NHs in the area. I am on my way out.

Experiencia negativa: Tower Hill, in my opinion, is a horrible place. Understaffed, dirty and no empathy for the residents. If you care about your loved one, DO NOT consider this facility. My mother suffered a facial fracture, several trips to the hospital, COVID, the flu, cuts, bruises, laying in her own filth and scabies when she was there. I had to tell them several times that she seemed sick and no one noticed and would not have been attended to unless I didn’t say anything, and that’s when she was treated: Oh, I also found a significant skin cancer lesion that no one told me about, and found it on her when I was helping her dress after a doctors appointment. Many of her items went missing: shoes, clothes and personal items.. I thankfully found a new and 100% way better place for her to go to. Thank God we are out of that nightmare.

No one checks up on their patients. Dont send your loved ones here, this place is dirty and a mess. Idk how these places are in business when they charge the insurances an arm and leg

My mom smiles and as they release each other my mom says, we do this every morning. THAT is why I choose Tower Hill! Thank you Vicki Hill for hiring such great staff over and over again!

Experiencia negativa: I encourage you to consider other facilities to house your loved one. Aside from a few nurses, the staff seems to be indifferent at best. This establishment is poorly lit, often smells, and is in relatively bad condition.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Very unprofessional when it comes to communication and forget it if you have any concern. My grandfather fell multiples times while in their care (1 to 1 supervision), also was put into a room where he was repeatedly attacked and pushed down by another resident 3 separate occasions and that ultimately started the downfall of his physical health and eventual passing. They were tagged by IDPH and fined as well for their wrong doings, but they have a hard time admitting their faults. Voicemails, emails, and any communication regarding medical records have been ignored as I’m trying to pursue legal actions. DO NOT STICK YOUR LOVED ONES IN THIS HELL HOLE. I would love to have better things to say about this place, but I and my poor grandfather had the absolute worst experience with them. There is a lack of care, lack of respect for residents and family members, lack of communication, amongst so much more. Don’t make this mistake I did. DO NOT trust them with your loved ones. Thankfully I moved my grandfather to a different facility where they went beyond measures to keep him comfortable before his passing. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY BY ANY MEANS.

Experiencia negativa: My father was admitted through hospice. Obviously hospice is there to make sure that my dad was comfortable though the last days of his life. He was not given his meds according to the schedule. When we came to visit my dad was running a fever and was groaning in pain. His morphine was an hour and a half over due. He was not verbal and could not communicate, so he laid there in pain for over an hour. During one visit, he was wearing a shirt that was not his that was stained with food. He needed to be fed, its a little confusing on the amount of food stains that were on his stomach, and that he was left to lay in a dirty shirt. His comforter was missing after 2 days. Too many issues to list, and my dad was only there for 9 days, thank god. When we threatened to call IDPH my dad got the care he deserved. its unfortunate that is what it took to get the care that we were promised and that my dad deserved. On a brighter note, Nurse Laura on the second floor was amazing! When she took over as my dads nurse, she gave my father amazing care and made sure he was taken care of. She is truly a blessing!

Experiencia fantástica: I was having an issue with a situation at tower hill. I spoke with Kami and she took the time to listen to me and address my issue. She resolved the issue immediately. I am not sure how long Kami has been at Tower Hill but on her current roll she is making evident changes. She is so kind and always has time to lend an ear. Thank you for being so helpful. It makes me feel so confident that my father is getting the best care. Tower Hill is a great place for my father.

Management is great, the floor staff always are working hard to give the residents the best care, and we truly are a family. Everyone works hard, & genuinely cares about all residents, visitors, & each-other!

Experiencia negativa: This is the absolute worst place to take anyone. Please beware! This place does not take care of your loved ones and they make their own rules when it comes to Covid protocol. Nurses do not get screened after they leave or start their shifts and management does not care to fix and or take consideration on making things better for screening! This place is a complete disaster when it comes to state regulations. They claim they are under staffed and close their kitchen and tell their diabetic residents they can purchase food from their vending machines which consist of chips and candy bars. This is the worst place to ever send a loved one! Please reconsider any recommendation or thought about this facility. They need to be sit down ASAP!

Experiencia negativa: My sister should have been tested 4 times already for covid 19 but It keeps slipping thru the cracks, even though she has pneumonia, she supposedly was tested yesterday but now another 3-5 days for results. terrible terrible place . Over 100 covid 19 cases.

Experiencia fantástica: This facility makes every effort to provide great care. They really take the time to get to know the patients and family members. It is an older facility but it is always clean. They staff there really care about people. We have not had any issues.

Experiencia negativa: I have flagged Kendra Johnson's, and one other staff person's, comments because she is the assistant administrator at this facility. Oddly, she has rated it as a 5 star rating while my father in-law has sat in soiled garments, dirty bed linens, and we have to practically beg for a washcloth. My family had to have an "all hands on deck" meeting to force basic care for him. They should just be doing their job rather than waiting for families to get upset. He is there for rehabilitation, not to be forgotten and neglected. Kendra, and the rest of the staff, get your act together! Our's is a family that is going to make sure that my father in-law is going to get type of care he deserves and has paid for.

Experiencia fantástica: I have had the pleasure of partnering with the team of Tower Hill as Palliative and Hospice provider for years and I have nothing but positive words for their facility. In my line of work, I visit many Nursing homes and Tower Hill definitely provides high quality of care. Their staff (be it nursing or office) are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and attentive to patient and family. It is a clean and beautiful facility with interesting daily activities and programs for special occasion. We have had patients placed in respite at Tower Hill because of their high standard of care and we will be glad to do that again anytime.

BUT WE DID STOP A SENSELESS WAR AND SEEM TO TRAVEL A LOT AND EXPERIENCE THE WORLD AND OTHER CULTURES.. YAY US! Experiencia fantástica: My father was recently moved to Tower Hill for rehabilitation. Although he has only been there for a few days, the staff has been very attentive and helpful. He was having difficulty chewing, so a dietician and head of the kitchen staff came in to speak with him and set up a suitable diet. For the first time in I don't even know how long, he was able to enjoy a meal until he was full! The nurses and CNAs have been very kind and seem to be doing a great job of making sure that Dad is taken care of. The administrative staff has been very friendly and kept us in the loop with what is going on. They are very responsive to messages, even after office hours. This has been a difficult and stressful time for the entire family, but we are all finally beginning to feel some relief due to the care he is receiving at Tower Hill!

Experiencia fantástica: My 92 year old mom has now been at Tower Hill for almost 3 years. Vicki and her staff do everything in their power to make their residents feel like this is their home. I know how difficult it is to create this atmosphere as your parent is accustomed to be in control for themselves. I'm very thankful to Tower Hill for the good care given to my mom during this challenging stage in her life.

Experiencia negativa: The facility looks nice at the entry and main hallways, but it's more of a facade. I had a relative stay on the second floor because of lack of availability on the first floor for rehab and it was a big mistake admitting her there; we ended up transferring her to another facility after a week and it wasn't soon enough. Not much of the staff was caring or attentive and we had various issues there (losing clothing, staff not caring, food forgotten twice, staff yelling at other staff members). I feel bad for all of the people there who don't have relatives to help the residents. I would highly recommend that you investigate other facilities.
