Experiencia fantástica: Exceedingly professional , very competent staff who pinpoint the way to remediate and treat problem areas. They ask the right questions and listen to the concerns of clients. They work well as a team.

Experiencia positiva: The physical therapists here were very good and the office staff were helpful and friendly. I needed a different type of care to address my issue, ultimately. I had a complicated problem, and I think I needed someone with more experience with my issue. I probably should have tried to find something else sooner. So, give it six weeks and if it’s not helping, I would suggest seeking another PT or another type of help. I had a neck issue with radiating nerve pain. For me, I needed more than what my physical therapist was able to provide. But I would recommend Jackson Clinics overall, especially if you’re dealing with things that aren’t as complicated.

And for those concerned about parking availability/cost, currently they do offer up to 2 hours of validation in the parking garage behind the clinic. Enter through the Montgomery entrance.

Experiencia fantástica: Following a severe flare up of my lower back, I went to the Alexandria location for PT. I worked primarily with Quentin and Randy, who were fantastic (as was everyone there). I felt very supported, taken care of, and noticed improvement every week. I would go back in a heartbeat, and highly recommend their practice to anyone in need of high quality PT care.

Experiencia positiva: On balance, the clinic is extremely good at diagnosing, creating a plan, and implementing physical therapy. Its PTs, exercise specialists are incredible, and I always seem to have a great experience with them. The front desk staff, while extremely nice, often are given ridiculous tasks, though, to include requesting patients fill in an exorbitant number of forms. While most medical offices have transitioned to online portals for the completion of these forms, TJC requires a patient to manually fill in basic information, medical history, medications, and the reason for visiting. This seems antiquated, time-consuming, and unnecessary. If I had any recommendation, to increase the user experience, I would recommend moving all pre-appointment paperwork and notices and releases to an online portal.

Experiencia fantástica: My physical therapy experience was delightful, despite the hard work the therapists prescribed. The office staff was polite and helpful. Rescheduling appointments was easy. I was never kept waiting for my appointment.My primary therapist was attentive. She included me in all the proposed exercises, and really listened to my concerns. The environment is positive and light; the exercise therapists were supportive and helpful.

Prior to the Jackson Family Clinic, I do not think my injury was taken seriously. My care providers ensured that I was not given or conducting exercises that aggravated the injury. I was finally able to make progress, learning how to strengthen accessory muscles without causing further injury and/or increasing the pain. I am grateful for the knowledge and expertise shared with me.

This spring I managed to re-injure myself, with disabling consequences. Experiencia negativa: Horrible experience! The therapist lack continuity. They would not let me see the same therapist and each repeated the assessment wasting valuable time. The technician treating me didn’t even watch me, she was too busy doing clerical work and I had to interrupt her to get her attention every time. I felt that the staff didn’t really care. I wrote the staff repeatedly for feedback and no reply. So I finally gave up. I do not recommend this clinic to anyone.

He can accurately assess my condition, identify the root causes of pain/dysfunction, and develop an appropriate treatment plan. Positive outcomes, such as reduced pain and improved ability to perform daily activities, were achieved through physical therapy from the very first session, which is amazing. I believe strongly in Dr. Quentin Smith’s Knowledge and Expertise and recommend him to everyone I encounter who has a need for physical therapy.

I felt like part of the family here, they listened to my concerns and issued a program to regain mobility and strength. I’m not quite 100%, but an out of state move has me departing nearly. Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Sam Cai correctly diagnosed my problems in the first session. He listens carefully and patiently. His treatments are tailored to my unique situation. Manual therapy is right to the point, effectively helping my muscles loosen up and skeletal structure restore neutral position. The exercises are also good, addressing key problem areas and at the appropriate level. He is very knowledgeable and explains my problems and the treatment very clearly. He is smart, professional and personable. Overall, it’s been a great experience to see him. I already see progress only after a few sessions. John who helps me with excerces is also excellent and fun. Everybody in the Old Town clinic is friendly.

Experiencia fantástica: Two days after knee replacement surgery, I started physical therapy at Jackson Clinics Alexandria. The entire team there made the tough job of rehab a consistently positive experience and enabled me to meet all the goals for recovery and return to full activities. In the open therapy area, you can immediately sense the overall positive vibe among staff and patients. The front desk staff, Igra, Jasmine, and Alyce, handled all admin aspects in a professional and friendly manner, and soon were greeting me by name. Dominic, my Physical Therapist, quickly gained my confidence with his ability to explain the process, adept manipulation to regain range of motion, coaching and goal setting. He readily adjusted the program when I had a couple of issues along the way. Exercise Specialist, Randy, was similarly professional and congenial in his approach. His depth of knowledge on exercise, including details of form and variations on the basics, was very impressive. Randy struck just the right balance between challenging me to progress without pushing too far. Especially in the first days after surgery, Dominic's and Randy's ability to be sensitive to the post-op discomfort while setting just the right pace, was an early indication that I was working with an outstanding team.

Experiencia fantástica: Getting near to finishing my PT for a large ankle injury and have nothing but good things to say about the Clinic. Sonal, who has been my primary PT for my time here, is incredibly friendly & professional and has taken great care in making sure my plan and increase in activity has been in alignment with my goals. Additionally the gym staff (shoutout to Bryson, Randy, and John) have been great at providing me with insights into why I do specific exercises as well as providing examples and reminders as needed. Needless to say they (and the front desk) similarly display a level of professionalism and friendly attitude that makes coming here (in spite of the injury) a treat. Experiencia fantástica: Cannot say enough good things about this Jackson Clinic. I had a pretty bad shoulder injury from work and could barely move it when I walked in. By the time I graduated (24 sessions later!) I had almost full movement back and most of my strength. Tyler Porter was my therapist, and he is excellent, as is the rest of the team of trainers and therapists. Also the front desk staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

Experiencia fantástica: Jackson Clinics have been such a great resource for our family, especially Dominic, who has guided us - two older adults and one teenager - through recovery from sports injuries and chronic lower back issues. Dominic takes time each visit to listen and tweak our therapy program, and teaches how to continue progressing on our own.

Experiencia fantástica: Erin and her entire team were fantastic to work with — both before surgery and post-op. After surgery the entire team worked to help me recover and get back to full strength and mobility quickly. The gym staff was the height of professional and worked to adapt exercises as needed pre-op to my situation, and pushed me post-op to recover quickly and properly. Six weeks in PT since surgery and I have all of my strength back and can walk properly again, and have largely returned to normal everyday life and activity.

I received PT from Donnie (PT) and Hilary (CAT) from 2014 to 2016 (on several different injuries – mainly lower back, plantar fasciitis and knee problems). Each time they, and other staff at Old Town JC were caring, engaging and professional, helping me rehabilitate each time back to full strength. I moved to Skyline JC a few years ago for dry needling, but I understand Old Town now also does dry needling, and all the other hands-on physical and exercise therapy treatments you can imagine. The staff members at Old Town Jackson Jackson Clinics are outstanding. I highly recommend this place!

Experiencia fantástica: I had a unique procedure, adipose tissue-derived stem cells treatment for regenerative healing of three tears. The Jackson Clinic, specifically Dr. Kristen Landers, was recommended by my doctor due to Dr. Lander's experience with the advanced procedure, and its unique healing process. The Jackson Clinic leaves little room for improvement. The staff at the Jackson clinic is fantastic. Francisca is a very professional, friendly and polite every time she greats you in the office or on the phone. She is also very proficient and patient scheduling appointments that work with your time schedule. In my 3 months of physical therapy (PT) I worked with a couple of Physical Therapists, Donny, Erin, KD, and Certified Physical Trainer, Hilary. Even though Kristen was my primary therapist, each time I worked with another, it was obvious they all worked well together, as a team, and communicated very well. I never felt like the training was disrupted in the few times I worked with another trainer (my choice due to time conflicts). My primary team was Kristen and her Certified Physical Trainer, Maphase. I couldn't have asked for a more friendly and pleasant team. They were a phenomenally talented, agile to my issues, creative with solutions, and challenging. Kristen was always prepared, concerned with how I was progressing, and committed to returning me to my condition prior to my injury. She discovered a couple of underlying issues leading to some of my pain. She also geared my training towards my new goals with working out, teaching me new exercises in addition to my shoulder workouts. Maphase was an unbelievable complement to Kristen. They were perfectly in sync with my training. Maphase was excited to work with me each time, with incredible energy and personal attention. The workouts were appropriately challenging and always focused on form, strengthening without injuring, and increasing range of motion. I am writing this review a month after treatment to see how I am feeling. I recovered in less time than traditionally allotted for an injury of my kind. I came out very strong, and confident in my shoulder. In addition to my Dr, Kristen, and Maphase, the team at Jackson Clinic, made this possible. I am incredibly grateful to have found them.

I was teamed up with Sonal Sheth, Pysical Therapist and Elwira Ksiazek as the PT assistant. Both worked with me as a team to ensure I met my goals. Sonal worked diligently massaging and targeting areas of muscle to unfreeze my shoulder and ensure I progressed. She coordinated the exercises and stretches with Elwira who was directing me and showing me the right way to do these. She kept me on track making sure my form and execution was correct to make sure I progressed to my goals. They both listened to me, were very professional, helped make sure my shoulder healed and worked with me as part of a team. I would highly recommend this location of Jackson Clinics in Old Town Alexandria and the team of Sonal and Elwira.

Experiencia fantástica: The fabulous team at this clinic got me back on my feet after two foot surgeries, and helped me to stay positive and keep going when I was feeling discouraged. I looked forward to my sessions because I was in such capable hands. They give just the right balance of encouragement and push so you can get back on track as quickly and safely as possible. Highly recommend!

Experiencia negativa: I wouldn’t recommend this place to any athlete or anyone who cares about attention. At this location, you’re a cog in the wheel. Different therapists each visit, therapists constantly talk to each other across the room while they’re with patients, and attention was minimal. Lastly, my jaw dropped when I saw what they charged my insurance! What a racket - I skipped my last appointment and accomplished more in my recovery watching YouTube. My guess is only reason this place has 5 stars is they ask for it in a farewell email.

Experiencia fantástica: I have used Old Town Alexandria Jackson Clinics Physical Therapy twice - once for a shoulder injury, and again for a broken foot and ACL tear. Hilary and Donnie are the best. They provided specific, customized exercises and stretches to strengthen my weak/damaged areas, measured and tracked my improving range of motion and did so with professional, positive attitudes and lots of encouragement! I would (and have!) absolutely recommend Old Town Jackson Clinic to friends and family.

Experiencia fantástica: This was my third visit to the Jackson Clinic. All three times for different injuries and in all cases they have not been a problem since physical therapy. This time round I dislocated my patella and worked with Donnie and Hillary to get moving again. After two visits a week for six weeks I am back to doing what I did before my injury and have even added a few new workouts. I hope that I never have to see them again, but if I do need therapy I will definitely be coming back.

Experiencia fantástica: Kristin D. was great. I went to their office after my wife went to their office and worked with Mason. My wife had her left meniscus tear repaired and did PT there and I had my right meniscus tear repaired and did my PT there. They were great to work with and allowed me to push the limits of what I was allowed to do all while staying with the doctors orders. Also provide a shout out to Elvira for helping explain all of the required exercises and making sure I stay on task while doing them.

I switched to Jackson Clinics because I felt the physical therapy clinic I previously went to for plantar fasciitis was not as professional as it could be and bilking my insurance company for additional funds. I was thrilled with my experience here. The place is clean and contemporary. The staff were outstanding - very professional, honest and either steered me away from or did not recommend services I did not need. Kristen Landers was my physical therapist - knowledgeable, friendly and effective. Hilary Sentell was my trainer - very friendly and motivating for someone who often tries to rush through or avoid exercising entirely. Although I hope not to need physical therapy again, if I did, I would go back here in a heartbeat.
