Experiencia negativa: Doctors were missing , saw 1 doctor, put a stethoscope on my shirt and said I was fine. A bill for over $3000 followed .

You have truly gone above and beyond, tending to her needs with the grace and compassion of an angel. My mom has been admitted to your care facility a few times, and each time, your dedication has been evident. You not only performed your duties with excellence, but you also noticed the little things that made a big difference in her comfort and well-being. Experiencia negativa: I had never seen such a lack of communication, to the patient or the family, my mom (in her 90’s) just got transferred here , and it’s been 2 hrs and not 1 word from any one, not 1 cup of water , not even a “how are you doing” …..while I’ll the nurses and staff are huddled up in the front desk having a good ol time , laughing and all….. one of the worst experiences we ever had . Man, I wish she was back in the hospital, at least she would be having fluids …. And some care . I wish this on no one. I trued to contact the admin but , no luck, he wasn’t in his office …..

Had the opportunity to place one of our patients under respite here family was extremely happy and grateful that a EPAR took care of their father very well. Absolutely love our partnership with Escondido Post Acute.

Experiencia fantástica: Friendly, hard-working staff. All I spoke with seemed very knowledgeable. They were a Great help to my homeless friend in need of multiple services. Dispatch nurse Aliyah is a superhero!! She was able to help him get his replacement car registration, his SSI payments, and basic housing. All rehabs should be like this.

Experiencia fantástica: Recently we visited the Escondido Post Acute to visit a resident. As we were walking through the building, it was nice to see happy and hard-working caregivers and professionals attending to the needs of the patients. We appreciate the teamwork and interest that was given to the resident. The courtyard was nicely decorated and seemed to promote a healthy environment to promote recovery.

Experiencia negativa: Following my father’s 3rd fall in 1 month and being admitted to Palomar hospital for 3 wks, my father was then admitted here. He was kept at EPAR for 4 wks, where I received instructions that he would continue to receive rehabilitation and therapy to help with his speech and mobility so long as he kept improving his therapy. Prior to being admitted at EPAR, he was able to walk somewhat, though not far, but had some difficulty getting out of a chair. When he left the facility, he could barely stand up let along walk at all. His condition appeared worse after his stay. The facility seemed in disarray every time I visited and it was hard to find staff to talk with regarding his care besides the social worker both in person and on the phone. The social worker was helpful and helped order him a brand new wheelchair for when he left, which was great. However, when I went to pick him up, the discharge nurse knew nothing about a wheelchair until I mentioned that their social worker had ordered him one. When they went to look for it, surprise surprise, it was hiding in his own room! How hard is it to notice a new wheelchair for a patient that can’t walk in the patient’s room? He also complained about pain and without investigating the symptoms of the pain, they simply administered some drug for the pain. I believe this facility kept my father for as long as possible for the month in order to bill his Medicare for their “services” which did anything but help improve my father’s condition. I do not recommend this facility for rehabilitating anyone.

Experiencia negativa: Worst place to recovery. Did not have a good experience with staff. They were not on time or totally forgot to give antibiotics. Did not wear gloves. Poor hygiene. Would not recommend at all.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband Alberto Calaunan suffered from a stroke last June 4, 2023. This is his second stroke after 18 years. After 10 days stay at Palomar Hospital, he was taken to Escondido Post Acute and is still in the facility up to this date. he feels at home here. The nursing staff is very caring and attentive to his needs. There is a rehab program which the therapists follow. My husband had undergone speech, physical and occupational therapy. There is also a follow up therapy which is 3x a week by RNAs . The food is catered according to his health condition. there is a doctor that checks him up once a week. at the back of the facility is a pretty garden where clients can go if they like a change in surroundings. I highly recommend Escondido Post Acute for patients that need rehabilitation. This is just like home away from home.

Experiencia fantástica: Like most facilities, it could use a coat of paint and some new furniture. I give it 5 stars because of the staff, specifically the nurses and CNAs. My dad was here 6 weeks recovering from an infection and I almost cried when I hugged Destiny and said goodbye. She was amazing! Francis, Alma, Wendy, Kevin and Tine were also top notch. They showed real care and concern. They are excellent at what they do. I would recommend this to anyone in need of rehab after surgery or a hospital stay.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband, a disabled veteran, has received excellent professional and kind skilled nursing care at Escondido Post acute. Administration has been friendly and helpful. And the dietary department has met his special needs with tasty and nutritious meals. I highly recommend Escondido Post Acute.

Experiencia positiva: I give EPAR a 3 because there are a few people there who I really appreciate. The social worker and the front desk gal. Im sorry I dont remember their names as its been a while since my mom was in their care. Its virtually impossible to get anyone to answer the phone and to get anyone to call you back. The nursing director was some what attentive but once I expressed my concerns about a particular employee, she sort of shut down. If my concerns were addressed with this employee I never knew it. This "nurse" was female and an absolute B whenever I inquired about anything pertaining to my mom. Oh she was very friendly on my moms first day then anytime after that it seemed like I was bothering her and she did not have time for me. The CNA's were fantastic and there is a male nurse, Brett I believe, who was awesome. I just never felt like they had my moms best interest in mind. Ive been told multiple time by many different people that the 5vstar rating doesnt mean a thing. Do your homework...we didnt.

Experiencia positiva: Staff work hard to accommodate needs. So basic supplies lacking. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy all very much a professional knowledge group .caring for patients. Dietician who takes the time to get to know you and complying with your likes and dislikes. Building in need of a minor face lift.

Experiencia negativa: Put me in a room to share a bathroom with a COVID patient. Never disclosed this. Very few staff can be trusted to give truthful factual answers and information. Run down, torn furniture. All rooms in need of updating and repairs. Short staff. Not enough to handle patients' care efficiently and correctly. Too many mistakes. Rude management. Experiencia negativa: Our family friend is staying there for getting healed from respiratory infection. Please note the Social Worker to her case has taken her time relating to releasing them so they can go home. By the way Dr has rest assured sign the paperwork for his client our family friend. They are just wallowing in their Mudd trying overly to release clients. The caseload is overloaded. What's this social workers excuse of a client there? More than 3 weeks there

Experiencia negativa: This is where you go to die! All they want is the insurance money . Consistently poorly staffed . Un clean my spouse was to be there 45 to 60 days and 7 months later getting no care moved to a different facility. Wouldn't put my dog here.

Experiencia negativa: This place does not deserve a star The nurses don't read the care plans before care the administrator lacks compassion they are short staff the residents don’t get the proper care if your a Hospice patient with chronic pain chronic anxiety chronic vomiting never under control he should never been accepted be cuz you don’t even have a CARe TEAm lack staff When you walk in the facility smells like urine

Experiencia fantástica: This facility is amazing! The staff goes above and beyond to help you and your loved one! Tine is a CNA there and she has taken the best care of my mom. Crystal in physical therapy is amazing!!! The nurses - to many to list have given my mom the best care to help my mom get better! I highly recommend this place!

Grace Robosa, one of their employee is the kindest person I have ever met. She works so hard and very helpful with their services. I highly recommend this facilty.

Experiencia fantástica: My name is Angela Garrett Community Liaison Destiny Hospice. EPAR has been an awesome community to work with for our hospice patient. The nursing staff and leadership team has made the transition so easy for all parties. The communication with their team has been great. I have worked in the industry for over 25 years and I would recommend this facility to any and everyone. EPAR is a homelike environment for our loving seniors. Keep up the good work EPAR!!

Experiencia fantástica: This is an amazing place. I've been working in medical records dept. for more than 11 yrs. I think the reasons behind that are people that works here are such nice people, we treat each other like family and they are easy to get along with, very professional at what they do, very caring to our residents and always gets the job done with compassionate and hard work. Our resident care is the number one priority here at this facility and there safety.

Experiencia negativa: I would not recommend this facility for your family and friends. There leadership team needs to be put in the same position as a family member. Trying to get the best care for there loved ones. The 3 things they need to work on are: Compassion Common courtesy Verification of part A & B benifits. Not just Medicare.
