Experiencia negativa: Had a Tb test done here waited the 72 hours for the reading my appointment was at 1040am. The nurse says she is behind and if I can reschedule. How am I supposed to reschedule a tb test reading? I am not going to pay out of pocket again to do the same test I already paid for. It's expensive here and I paid because I thought they were going to perform their task properly. Don't waste your money here and make time going somewhere else.
Experiencia negativa: Went for a ear wax removal appt. NP took less than a minute looked in my ears...no wax but just a "popped" out here drum. Sent me on my way. Charged me for a full "short" office visit of $99 and they told me my insurance covered it all. NP was nice(give that an extra star) but misinforming me on this. Now I'm getting a bill stating I owe them and I feel ripped off not even having a full check up. On account I could have went and seen my primary for a more thorough evaluation for much less of an office visit charge. They also weren't willing to work at all with me on the billing on account of misleading me initially for the appt charge. I came for a ear wax removal and that was not a service rendered but they decided to charge for a full short office visit to tell me I don't have wax. $99 doesn't make sense spending a max of 5mins with someone and them not even getting the service they came for. If I was told I was gonna get a bill for a this when the service I came for (ear wax removal) wasn't rendered I wouldn't have bothered and just went to my normal doctor for a checkup prior.
Experiencia fantástica: I went today to the clinic for a vacine and I don't normally write many reviews but the nurse practitioner, Trina, was so kind and friendly I had to write something. She made me feel relaxed while staying professional. I will definitely be going back.
Experiencia fantástica: I work in a school and have to have a TB screening every 3 years. Three years ago, I didn't have insurance and went instead to a US Healthworks, which was dirty, chaotic and crowded. This year, I do have health insurance - but I'm also very healthy and I'm on an HMO plan, which means that if it's been over a year since I last saw him, they wanted me to schedule an appointment just for a TB screening. It would take 3 weeks to get in. NOT! I did a search for the closest urgent care kind of place and found this one. This CVS location is clean, cheery and spacious. I went to the Minute Clinic area which is in back, and found that you're supposed to check yourself in at a kosk. Did that, and it told me my wait time was 3.5 hours... but it would text me 30 minutes before I would be called. I'd gone out that afternoon with 4 errands on my to-do list, and decided to-do this one first because I knew the wait time would be the longest. Having this text-you're-next feature freed me to go run my errands. I headed out and had just finished my last errand about 2 hours later when my smart-watch buzzed and told me I should return for my turn. I don't know about how great these kinds of places are about diagnoses and treatment - you're being seen by a physician assistant, after all - but I liked my screening experience very much. For a routine screening and ultimate convenience, I don't know how you can possibly beat this place. They do physicals. as well, which must be great for busy moms. To sum up - this is a walk-in, no-appointment center that handles routine screening and care kinds of issues, and for that it seems ideal to me.
Experiencia fantástica: Different... But great.. It's inside CVS Pharmacy, and it's a different setup. But the Dr. and intern, we're knowledgeable, very nice. Then the prescription goes right next door to the pharmacy. Very convenient..
Experiencia fantástica: Super nice, vary fast service, and Most of the doctors here generally care about your health and are there to help while at other places there just doing there Job.
Experiencia negativa: Worst experience ever! Went to get a covid test. I was the only person in line and still had to wait 10 minutes but the worst part is that I still have not gotten my results! I feel better but this could be extremely dangerous for someone else I spent over an hour trying to get some answers to no avail. Stay away!
Experiencia negativa: I made an appointment to see the minute clinic on Friday evening. I arrived 20 minutes early and the entire visit took two and a half hours because they were "behind.". Fine. When I finally got the medication prescribed, I was told that it was not covered by my insurance and would cost me $985 out of pocket. Obviously I wasn't going to pay that, so the rep at the pharmacy desk said let's find something similar that is covered by insurance and cheaper. Okay... I waited some more, then she said the nurse practitioner left and they cannot do anything because they are the ones that prescribe medication. Now I'm very annoyed. The lady said that she would be in the next day in the afternoon and will personally check with the nurse practitioner and give me a call back. The next day I waited the whole day and nobody called me. The following day I give them a call and I get the worst service on Earth. Everybody says that they're busy and when I finally raised my voice, they put me through to a nurse practitioner who seem to be in a tremendous amount of pressure and stress because she had so many patients and told me that she can't help me right now. When I raised my voice some more, she put me on hold and then came back on the line and said that she can prescribe me something.. okay, so I said what is that "something" and she said she's not sure because she doesn't prescribe those kinds of medications and she is not familiar with it. So then I raise my voice even more and then she puts me on hold and apparently talks to the pharmacist and comes back to me to give me the information that I think she wants me to hear. Then she says I don't know if you'll like it or not but you can come by and take it! No care or human touch to the experience whatsoever. Like she was prescribing something for an automobile! Now it's too late because I am out of state and I have to leave the area. Thanks for nothing. Avoid this place at all costs because they are perfectly designed to do one thing and that is bill your insurance for services not rendered!!
Experiencia negativa: I made an appointment for a rapid test today for 9:45. I went through and I was told that I would get my results within 2 hours. It is now almost 5 hours later and I have got NOTHING. I needed my results today and I was let down. I wasted my time driving an hour and a half and thought I'd have my results by the time I get to my destination, BUT NO. I will never use MinuteClinic again I am very unhappy. If you say two hours, it should be 2 hours.
Experiencia negativa: The MinuteClinic runs the covid19 rapid testing site at this CVS location. When I went for my 8:45am rapid test, no one was there. I went inside and asked a store employee, and they told me to check the pharmacy. The pharmacy called a manager (who never came), and when I asked the pharmacy again, they called a regional manager who said that the rapid testing was run by MinuteClinic. I then waited until the Minute clinic opened, and by then there were four people who were waiting for their rapid testing, the nurse on duty was a "Floater" and did not work at that location typically, so she called a manager. Finally an hour after my scheduled appointment, she informed me that this location was closed for today and that I would need to find another location to test (as if it is that easy to find a test same day). I never received a cancellation notice from my email, text messages, etc. I actually received a text telling me how to prepare for my visit... I would not recommend this location.
Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely excellent service for Covid rapid testing. I was able to get my sons and partner in for same day testing, and they even called me in the morning and brought us in earlier. Results were received less than an hour later. I really appreciated the communication, bedside manner of those assisting with testing, and just the overall experience in general. Highly recommend!
Experiencia fantástica: My elderly sister was able to get a same day appointment at this CVS minute clinic on El Norte. She was seen by the N. P. Deanna. Deanna diagnosed her illness, and prescribed an excellent antibiotic for my sister. Deanna was very kind and a good listener, exemplifying what health care should always be! Thanks go out to Deanna!
Experiencia negativa: WE WERE SKIPPED! I signed in at 9:30 am, and the computer apparently didn’t process it because we weren’t added to the waiting list. Another person came in and jumped on the waiting list so I redid it and got on at 9:38. It approximated a 47 minute wait time. At 10:10 and after wrangling my three kids around the store for 40 minutes there was one person ahead of me. I overheard the nurse telling the two people sitting in the waiting area who came in after me and looked very ill that she would get them in very soon. It showed that I was next on the list with a 10 minute wait. The only name ahead of me timed out, I know because there was no one in the room the entire time we were standing around. Then 5 min later suddenly the people disappeared, as did the name AFTER me in the waiting list. I was the only name on the board and all of a sudden my time WENT TO 17 MINUTES. I only needed a very quick TB test for a job. It is very difficult to deal with three kids for an hour and I exposed them to all kinds of germs, including the people who were obviously VERY ill who were cut in front us. I didn’t want to expose us to them so I left. Unbelievable.
Experiencia fantástica: Visited this clinic with a family member with the flu and the care was excellent. The nurse-practitioner used age-appropriate kindness and was very thorough. Make an online appointment if you don't want to take chances on waiting for a while (however, our wait with no appointment was way better than urgent care or the ER).
Experiencia fantástica: Got my flu shot, painless, fast, walked in. Tim Hickey NP is fantastic.
Experiencia negativa: If I could give no stars I would. I wasn't able to check in online, which is fine I get that there are only so many spots for that. Came down and there was a 2 hour wait. Ok, still better than urgent care. After an hour of waiting, with both kids because I can't leave then at home, it then said it would be another 2 hours. I asked to speak to the CVS manager to understand what was going on, but they have no control over anything because the minute clinic just "leases space" and isn't employed by them. At this point, I have been waiting since before 11am and won't be seen for another hour. I continue to wait due to lack of a better option, but I will not be returning. Absolute worst doctor experience. Go the minute clinic in Poway, much better patient care and they stick to the times they quote you.
Experiencia negativa: Saturday Trina the nurse practitioner at CVS in Escondido off of El Norte Parkway is a joke. She asked why I was in I said I have a sinus infection, before even seeing me, I get told that "I may not be able to treat you, you may need an extra level of care, do you still want to continue with the exam?" I said yes as this is the only Urgent Care open at this time . Then after examining me she says due to my level of pain that I'm feeling in my sinuses she can't treat me. That my pain level is concerning to her. I told her I've had sinus infections before and it feels exactly the same. She says maybe you should try a different urgent care, I told her this was my last resort, nothing else is open or I wouldn't be here. I then proceeded to tell her that I came to the MinuteClinic as I don't want to go to the ER and expose myself to more severe illnesses then the sinus infection due to being pregnant. She said there's nothing else I can do for you you're going to have to go to another urgent care or to the ER. What a joke! Please keep in mind I had to repeat my symptoms, and my information to her multiple times even though she had them written on a Post-It note while she was entering them in. She seems very inexperienced and incapable of being on her own in a clinical setting , to not be able treat something as basic as a sinus infection! I should have listened to my instincts when she came at me in the beginning stating she's possibly not going to be able to treat me. It was a complete waste of my time, her time, and the money my insurance is going to be charged for the visit for her to tell me to go elsewhere to another urgent care as she does not feel comfortable treating me, because she thinks it could be viral or something else that she's not able to check for. Stating that she's unable to do blood work there, and I stated you can't do blood work to check for a sinus infection. She was just very concerned at my pain level as she repeated to me multiple times . For anyone who's had a sinus infection you know they are painful! Needless to say I will never return to another MinuteClinic! UPDATE: Sunday, went to Neighborhood Healthcare at 1509 East Valley Parkway after hours clinic located inside the Albertson's Shopping Center, was treated by very kind knowledgeable staff, was told the left side of my nose was almost completely shut, and I most definitely have a sinus infection. Was seen and treated in under 10 minutes, they conveniently have the Sav-On pharmacy located within Albertsons right on the opposite side total visit a 15 to 20 minutes including Pharmacy pick up.
Experiencia negativa: Each time you walk inside that room, expect a $30 charge no matter if you get treated or not. Got a TB test for $35 on the day I came in. Came back 3 days after to get it checked, I got charged another $30!!! 1 star though for the nice ladies.
Experiencia negativa: I came in excited to try out Minute Clinic. During my two hour wait, i naturally had to use the restroom. The restroom was locked and required store personel to unlock, as the door did not have a code-activated lock. This required me to pull someone off her job in the CVS pharmacy, annoying. After a two hour wait, the provider arrived 10 minutes late from lunch. She had been inside the examining room all lunch. She then proceeded to inforrm me that for scheduling reasons she could not handle the ear wax removal that I'd scheduled! I was forced to leave and find an alternative. What a waste of time. I will never return or recommend Minute Clinic. Below unprofessional.
Experiencia negativa: This is not a review of the provider, but CVS software that gives you unrealistic wait times. We reserved a spot, checked in 10 minutes before our scheduled time, and then waited an hour and 20 minutes, by which time it was lunch time. That added another hour to the wait. If only the software provided better wait time estimates, we wouldn't have needed to wait so long with a 5 year old.
Experiencia fantástica: Just came back from this clinic. The provider was friendly and thorough. I can see how one might have to wait awhile if it were busy, but I found that a 15 minute to 30 minute per patient is probably what they are working with, and that seems reasonable. My daughter and I arrived at 9 am with one person ahead of us in line, and we only had to wait for 15 minutes. The visit itself was what I expected, so I was pleased with the service provided. Very convenient and easy location to find.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent service. Takes slightly more than a minute, but that is still shorter than it would have taken to schedule an appointment with my physician. Gets the job done well.
