Experiencia fantástica: What a treasure this place is! Customer service is amazing, I've never had my benefits explained so well, nor had such helpful folks when scheduling around work/kids/other appointments. Every practitioner I've seen has been knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. I highly recommend coming here! I am stronger and more relaxed than ever.

Experiencia negativa: I made a 9:00 appointment--the first appointment of the day--with Lisa, the owner. After checking in and waiting 15 minutes, I approached the front desk and asked if Lisa knew I was in the building and waiting. The front desk told me that she was likely getting the room ready and would be with me in a minute. After waiting another 10 minutes, I approached the front desk again. This time the staff told me that Lisa wasn't in the building, but was on her way. The office manager came out and told me that Lisa would be arriving in 30 minutes. I asked for a refund for the co-pay that I had already paid, and I was made to wait another 5 minutes for that. Since this establishment has a no-show/late arrival policy for patients, I thought it was only reasonable that I should be compensated for the no-show/late arrival of the practitioner. However, they don't offer that reciprocity. They will charge you for no-show/late arrival, but they won't be as considerate with your time. If they don't show--or show late--you're expected to wait, without any compensation. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate! I will not go back to this clinic and I will vigorously recommend that that none of my friends and colleagues use this in-network clinic. p.s. the "one star" is only because that is required to post the review.

Experiencia fantástica: I have only been three times but the consummate professionalism here is top notch. I emailed with a few questions. 2 minutes later I had an email response. When I had some trouble getting the new patent forms Aidan (the receptionist) emailed them to me minutes later. I love that the are other specialists in-house so to speak. Currently I can only write about Dr. Shannon. She is an amazing person and took the time ask questions and conduct and comprehensive, honest and dialogue heavy first visit. She took the time to find out what I wanted. After the first two visits I discovered that I could work 6+ hour shifts in retail and not feel excruciating pain in my back. This is the first time in my life that I have ever not been in pain after standing for so long. There are other small things that are already changing in my body for the better. My only regret is that I wish that I had found this place sooner. I can only see this as the beginning of a wonderful thing.

Experiencia fantástica: Lisa & Co. are wonderful - have chronic injuries that have bothered me for years now, visits to her clinic were the first, and only, thing that ended up not only alleviating the pain but getting to the root of the issue and fixing it. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to heal from sports injuries and reduce pain.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently acquired an injury to my piriformis from running. The pain was almost unbearable and prevented me from working. I saw Shannon who adjusted my sacrum. I immediately felt the shift in my tight lower back muscles. She did a thorough assessment and demonstrated stretches for me to do at home. She also asked me back the next day fro a short visit to make sure my sacrum stayed adjusted. I have never had a chiropractor do this. I felt taken care of. The following day I saw Erin, the LMT. Erin not only worked my tight glut and hip muscles, but addressed an old neck injury that causes me constant pain. I have seen many therapists for my neck but none have gone as deeply as Erin. I actually walked out with full range of motion which I haven't had for years. Lastly, I was experiencing some compression on my sciatic nerve from the inflammation around my piriormis. I had numbness in my foot and didn't feel confident on my feet. I was consulted by Lisa, an acupuncturist, who immediately found the places that were obstructing the flow to my foot. I left her office walking well and went to work a few hours later where I am required to be on my feet for hours, with very little pain. Overall, my experience at Well Balanced was fantastic. They got me in to see someone the same day I called. The practitioners all took a lot of time with me assessing not only my immediate issue, but offering advice and insight to my overall body health. I will definitely return for not only acute care, but maintenance for my active lifestyle.

Experiencia fantástica: I started going to Well Balanced with Lisa Glasser to try to treat my crohn's disease. I had been doing traditional treatment methods (harsh drugs and steroids, remicaid infusions, etc) for over a year with no success. In only a couple of months I have noted marked improvement in my condition without all of the terrible side effects, and have also finally started shedding the weight gained from previous medications. My first visit there I mentioned terrible neck pain from an injury that wouldn't subside. Though that is not what I was there to be treated for that day, Lisa made the time to address that as well and after one treatment the pain that had been lingering for weeks disappeared that day. She has also been helping me with my elimination diet to determine my food triggers. The folks here are very relaxed, polite, friendly and professional. They are easy to schedule with and very laid back. This clinic has been a great experience for me and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to treat health and pain issues.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been a client and friend of Well Balanced Acupuncture for over a year and have learned a great deal about the benefits of acupuncture and how it can improve many aspects of your life. Since starting my treatment, I have fully recovered from a lingering leg injury, improved my posture, and eliminated all of my lower back pains. It is also the most relaxing treatment I have ever received that does not involve any drugs or oily rub downs. To this day I continue the treatments for the sore muscles and joints (I am not as young as I use to be), life and work stresses, and to learn new ways to keep me "Well Balanced". If you have not tried acupuncture it is never too late and Well Balanced is a perfect place to start.

Experiencia fantástica: 3 weeks before my wedding I was experiencing fairly severe back pain following an illness. After 2 trips to see Shannon Robertson for adjustments followed by massages (one with Andrew and one with Erin) I am feeling better than I have in MONTHS! I was nervous that I might make myself more sore before the wedding but the adjustments were gentle and not at all jarring, and the massages afterwards (which were covered by my insurance when paired with a chiropractor adjustment!) helped a ton. The office is quaint, stylish and welcoming and they were very accommodating to my work schedule while also getting me seen quickly! A good chiropractor is a must-have and I'm sorry I waited as long as I did to see someone! I am 4 days away from my wedding and feeling great! I have the fine people at Well Balanced to thank for it!

Experiencia fantástica: I had my first acupuncture treatment with Lisa yesterday. She spent a lot of time with me on the initial consultation, explaining why my arm and shoulder are achy and how she would treat me with acupuncture, at home exercises, and a general short course of treatment. She is easy going, very knowledgeable and gentle. I really feel that I got a LOT more than I would on the first visit! I'm giving four stars only because it is my first experience, but I'm sure I'll be bumping that up to five! Oh and by the way, it isn't painful at all for anyone that has a fear of trying it; I either didn't feel the needles go in at all, and if I did it was very minor. Thank you Lisa!

Experiencia fantástica: My experience is that Dr. Lisa Glasser taps into what I bring to each session, whether it be on the physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual level and responds to each, by being fully present to it all and then by utilizing the modalities that she has available to her. She has the rare capability of using her talents while also supporting the agency of the client as capable of healing AND as, basically, "healer-in-chief." One way she does this is by suggesting inner awareness practices the client might explore while in session and then taking these home to practice. She welcomes it all and responds with kindness, clarity, integrity and an innate intuitive ability. I am grateful to have "stumbled upon" this clinic and Lisa as a practitioner in addressing my current health needs.

Experiencia fantástica: I see Michael(chiro), Tiffany(message) and Lisa (acu). They are all AMAZING! Lisa has done some incredible energy work with me and I have felt an immediate difference. Michael is such a great listener and each adjustment has been slightly different based on how I am feeling. Tiffany is tiny but mighty! She is great at getting deep into tissue to release tension and has helped me with stretches to prevent tightness and injury in my back. I really appreciate all the practitioners here and their investment in my overall wellness/health!

I feel very cared for and the treatment has been very effective in decreasing my symptoms. The atmosphere is peaceful and clean.

Experiencia fantástica: Well balanced is a rarity. The have a great well oiled system. I can't say the same was true when I started with them 4 years ago, but they have improved tremendously. I have seen nearly ever practitioner in their practice for things such as massage, acupuncture, and chiropractic care. They are so helpful. The chiropractor Jake is just good at his job, he knows anatomy and the body so well that his manipulations are often so gently. It is such a different experience than any other chiropractor I have ever seen. It's a catch 22 for me to recommend them as I don't want them to get so busy that it's difficult to get in, but I want to see them do well.

Experiencia fantástica: I came to Well Balanced back pain and spasms that were incapacitating at times, interfering with my work, exercise, and life. Jesse, Jake and Erin communicated with each other and with me about what was going on in my body. It took time, but with guidance from Jesse, Jake and Erin, as well as with the strengthening exercises they provided, my body healed. Most importantly, with guidance from the team at Well Balanced, I have a better owner’s manual for my own body.

Experiencia negativa: I tried out this place because of the top reviews. I've had about 6 acupuncture sessions here with Zoe, and they went great. This review is not about her services but rather about my unhappy customer relation with this practice. I may be an outlier case, but perhaps this information helps others in avoiding my experiences. My first negative experience came about 3 meetings in (I considered myself a regular client by then). The morning of my acupuncture day I woke up with horrible abdominal crams. It was so bad that I ended up calling in sick and staying in bed all morning. Of course, the last thing I wanted to do that day was to have someone poke needles in me. So, I called Well Balanced to postpone my acupuncture session for later in the week. Unfortunately, I got no sympathy from the front desk manager and was told that if I cancel with such short notice I will have to pay a cancelation fee. She didn't even look up the schedule to check for an alternative opening slot that week or consult with Zoe. I was shocked by this lack of empathy and flexibility. To add more to this, at my next appointment they made me sign a document about their rules and procedures including cancelled visits, which only then I realized that such a document existed but they forgot to share it with me at my first visit. Oh well... My second negative experience was with billing. From the beginning I was impressed with their computerized appointment reminders and automatic invoice receipts, a significant upgrade from my previous acupuncture practice. This service turned out to be crucial as I later realized from my explanation of benefits that the dollar amount I was charged after every visit was higher than needed to be. These things happen given the black box that insurance coverage can be sometimes, so I was not concerned. What did surprise me was that when I called the office to bring this up, I was assured someone would look into it and call me back. I never received that call. So, a little disappointed about the lack of customer services, I called again and this time talked directly to the person processing the insurance claims. All went well though few weeks later I got a refund check with a lesser amount than owed. This is where the automatic invoice receipts came in handy. So, I called the office again and explained why I think that the check received was insufficient. They agreed to this once again, though few weeks later I am still waiting to get my money back. I'm writing all of this to say that while this practice is nice and welcoming, with probably good practitioners, it has a very deficient customer service. I am happy I interrupted services with them because the last thing I wanted was to have my life made more stressful by constant omissions to return calls or fix billing issues, or by the lack of flexibility and consideration towards last minute emergencies. For the rate that they charge (much higher than other places in town), I was expecting much better customer service. Too bad...

Experiencia fantástica: I've only had 4 appointments but so far it has been a top notch experience. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and they listen extremely well (something that is rare in the medical profession). I love that they have acupuncture, chiropractic, PT, and message therapists all at the same site. I've primarily been doing acupuncture with Jesse but have also done message therapy and PT. I mainly wanted to get rid of my chronic headaches (which is happening!) but also have reduced my lower back pain. This is my first experience with acupuncture and it's been a great one!

Experiencia positiva: 1st experience with acupuncture and I must say the staff here really set my nerves at ease. "I don't like needles"! Will give it another try, as pain is subsiding and I understand it takes time. Will do anything that does not require being on opiates all of the time.
