Experiencia negativa: Had a great surgery on my foot here but that night experienced horrible pain with minimal help from nurses. Every time I called a different nurse would come in, after a long wait, and not know what’s going on. Was very adamant on wanting to be discharged as soon as possible and wasn’t able to leave until 5:30 pm the next day.

Experiencia fantástica: I saw Dr. HANNAH Nelson, who gave me excellent care. She took the time to hear and listen to my concerns. I believe that she should receive an award for her kind and caring ways. I would also like to add that while I was at Sanford orthopedic having surgery, you couldn't as for better care with Dr. Sekundiak, Dr. Roopa Rachelle and especially the nurses or Josh. Thank goodness for people like Sanford who cares

Experiencia fantástica: I had an unfortunate accident on a recent vacation...took a bad fall, fortunately didn't break anything but bruised my left thigh terribly & found out at the clinic I had a hematoma. Very much appreciated the great diagnosis & treatment at Sanford Clinic!!!

Experiencia fantástica: We used walk-in clinic when I broke my ankle. It took less than 2 min to get me started with X-rays. We moved from NY so I am not used to such a fast help.

Experiencia fantástica: I totally felt comfortable the whole time I was there. I feel the staff go above and beyond to make your visit a good one. Megan the recovery nurse was super sweet and professional, she listened while I rambled on and Sheila was my in room nurse, she was very professional. Good care is essential in my book. Experiencia negativa: All I am asking for is Sanford Surgeons Procedures before they let students operate on civilians like "ME". Sanford Won't let me talk to Students that operated on me, the RN pre - op, Orthopedic seniority. No one knows what happened during my surgery. I have tried to reach out to everyone during my surgery... Sanford will not let me talk to anyone. Piatt denies what I say about having students operate on me and I highly think Timothy will never know I denied him to operate on me (the student) because SANFORD won't let me see the procedure for students to operate on people. Sanford Won't let me talk to anyone in the procedure during my surgery. The student that operated on me had no clue I said "No" to being operated on. Patient relations and Sanford Lawyers need to understand what "NO" means no. "SANFORD" DENIED me see their proper procedures for students operating on PEOPLE..."they should reveal documents when they are requested. All I am asking for is Sanford Surgeons Procedures before they let students operate on civilians. Without it, means NO Transparency and Corruption! Sanford is covering themselves. Everything they write on their notes and what happens only benifit themselves... NOT the person in need. Notes are only there for sanford lawyers to benefit themselves. Experiencia negativa: i waited over an hour and a half in the waiting room for a covid and influenza test for the doctor to tell me i’m fine without even testing me even though i’ve been exposed to multiple people with covid over the last week and have symptoms of covid. i asked him if he could still at least test me because i work with children and at least wanted to be safe and he told me to just get some rest and gargle salt water. great job guys.

Experiencia negativa: The front desk stopped me on my way in, because I had my service dog with me. She was wearing her Vest & has a leash that says Service Dog. The desk Lady loudly asks is that a service dog. I reply, Yes. Then she responds with "What service does the dog provide you? Do you have an appointment here?" I quietly respond "hearing." She goes What? I say "Hearing alert dog. Your not legally allowed to ask me what she does? Yes, I have a Dr appointment." She argues back that they are allowed to, at this place! I get my sticker, saying Service Dog Acess, & go to my Dr appointment. I know legally they are NOT allowed to ask me what Service my Dog provides. Because that is my personal health information. I should not have been asked that at all, let alone the main lobby in front of a bunch of people.

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointed in my experience with this clinic for pediatric orthopedic! We had to drive over 2 hours just to come here for my son. we got called back for our app, and ended up waiting over an hour for someone to even come in. Even when someone came in they apologized for the wait and that the dr was pretty behind. it was very unprofessional that they couldn't even notify us of the over extended waiting he was very behind. We ended up walking out of the room and headed back for home. I would not recommend them to anyone for pediatric orthopedic!

Experiencia negativa: I got charged $118.00 for a phone call to Dr Hvidston. I did not know my insurance would not pay on this. I would have made an appointment and come in instead so it would be paid. I am not happy about this. I am still having trouble with my knee since surgery.

Experiencia fantástica: I had fallen and had various leg muscles pulled and got bursitis so was not moving around much. I got a steroid shot and about 10 days later my pain in my leg lessened quite a bit. I was going to go to work and I was having a struggle to breathe. I couldn't catch my breath. I decided to go to urgent care. The doctor was very thorough. I was sure they were going to say "*panic attact". After x-rays they did a CAT scan. I had blood clots that were a result of my leg injury. That doctor saved my life!! I have had great and thorough experience every time I have gone there. Sanford Urgent Care ROCKS

Experiencia negativa: SANFORD IS LOSING THEIR PERSONAL TOUCH. MY DR IS GREAT, BUT I GOT CONFUSED AND WENT TO THE OLD BUILDING. THEY WERE UNABLE TO TELL ME WHERE THE NEW BUILDING WAS. FINALLY FOUND MY WAY. SANFORD SOUTH UNIVERSITY. TOOK THE UNDERGROUND TUNNEL TO THE EAST SIDE OF ROAD. NO MARKINGS ANYWHERE TO GIVE DIRECTION ON WHERE TO GO NEXT. ENDED UP AT EMPLOYEE DOOR. COULDN'T GET IN. WENT TO CHECK IN WITH THE OFFICE. VERY FRUSTRATED BY NOW. THEY HAND ME A 3 BUTTON CLICKER THING. SAID IT WOULD TELL THE DR WHO I WAS. TOLD ME WHAT ROOM TO GO TO. I HAD TO WALK DOWN A LONG HALLWAY TILL MY ROOM. NO NURSE CALLED ME BACK, SHE WAS SITTING IN ROOM WHEN I FOUND IT. VERY IMPERSONAL. ALL SANFORD WANTS IS YOUR MONEY. WAS TOLD TO WAIT IN RECEPTION ROOM FOR SCHEDULING TO CALL ME BACK. I WAITED 20 MINUTES BEFORE HE CAME OUT. THERE WAS NOT ONE GOOD PERSON, EXCEPT FOR DR BAILEY AND THE DOOR ATTENDANT DOWN STAIRS. NOT ONE THAT DISPLAYED EMPATHY. THEY ALL TREATED ME AS IF I WAS FROM ANOTHER PLANET. HURTS TO SEE THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY SO HARDENED. SCARED TO GET OLD WITH SANFORD.

Experiencia negativa: Walk in Ortho gave me poor service. Claimed I only had severe sprain to foot/ankle, a couple weeks later I finally went to other facility and new xrays taken. I have multiple fractures in my foot and ankle. They didnt even take xrays of area i told them i had most pain. Given no pain medication. Had 8-9 pain out of 10. Told to take tylenol and ice area. Documentation was different than what I was verbally told. Had to go to Sanford Equip to get right size of cam boot as the Ortho clinic put a one on me that was way too big and gal didn't listen to me when I told the her it was gouging me in the back of knee. Had to go out again and in so much pain, they should have fit the cam boot correctly in the first place.

Experiencia negativa: My mother has dementia. She had a total knee replacement done at this facility. While the nurses were great and polite and her Dr did amazing because of her dementia they wanted to find her a nursing home to rehabilitate at. She was in their care for a week and I guess was not the best patient. I live in Aberdeen SD and had to go home for that week and when I came to see her they insisted that she'd be better at home. Never was I told that her dementia would be a hundred times worse. I feel they rushed me to take her instead of waiting till the next day when a nursing home had agreed to take her because they wanted to get rid of her. Also she is very hard of hearing and I showed the nurse on duty before I left how to charge her hearing aids. They never in the entire week she was there charged them or even took them out of her ears. The nurse on duty the day she was discharged told me he was unaware she even had hearing aids. I think they were very unprofessional.

Experiencia negativa: They refused to see me because of my cardiac issues in the past. The nurse said that I need to leave and go to another facility that would be able to treat my conditions. When I was only there to be seen for an ACL that is torn. Please tell me what I am missing with this patient care. They don’t even deserve a one star. My suggestion is if you are in a state that has another hospital. I would never choose Sanford. You have better luck going to a facility that actually has patient care as a priority.

Experiencia fantástica: I usually don’t leave reviews but, I have to for these guys. What a wonderful group. All of the staff at Sanford. From my home clinic in Lisbon to the orthopedic and mri staff at the hospital. Just awesome. Stacey Walton and her group to Dr Kevin Dahl and his team. They explain everything so good and answer all the questions and help with paperwork for my job. I’m glad I have Sanford for my provider!

Experiencia negativa: Would give zero stars if I could only care about getting your money. Spend thousands of dollars for them to tell you I don't know why you are in pain and there isn't anything we can do for you. Won't talk to you without making another appointment to discuss other treatment options, or possible causes of your issues. Worthless at best will not be returning and recommending everyone else to find better care.

Experiencia negativa: Some PA made me wait a half hour(not including the 45 i waited in lobby) hecame in for literally 3 minutes didn't even examine me. I told him my knee is in excruciating pain and could hardly walk and was up all night i was in so much pain. He said it was a back issue and prescribed pain meds and sent me on my way. I have discovered i have a dislocated knee.

Experiencia negativa: Let me start out by saying that my Doc is a great doc. He does great work. I however was unimpressed with the female PA who assisted and visited me during acute post surgery pain. I was essentially sent home with Motrin and was in excruciating pain requiring an overnight with stronger meds. She was dismissive and not a people person. Anyhow: The problem here lays with the VAMC and Sanford billing relationship. Sanford loves to charge for out of pocket expenses. No one is helpful in resolving insurance and billing issues. If you're a veteran, do whatever it takes to be seen at the Fargo VA instead. I don't plan on attending follow up appointments at Sanford since I can see a specialist at the VA. Less wait times, way better treatment. My two cents. 5 Stars for my doc and zero stars for the front desk and the Sioux Falls billing department.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been there once for foot pain and once for knee pain. Received a cortisone shot each time and reduced my pain to pretty much zero. Time spent each visit was about an hour. Great service.

Experiencia fantástica: Suffered an injury the night before thanksgiving and arrived 20 minutes before closing to the walk in clinic. Despite my poor timing the staff was polite and excellent care was delivered without rush. Imaging was set up for over the holiday break and received a phone call first thing the next business day after my imaging with next steps. I am grateful for caring medical providers and support staff who make uneasy situations more manageable.

Experiencia negativa: Total waste of time. Tried to have me do an unnecessary MRI for a joint that isn't even bothering me. I drove 2 hours to get there and the Dr gave me less than 5 minutes of his time. Very rude because I questioned why the MRI was needed. People in x-ray nice which gives them 1 star.

Experiencia negativa: In the begining of May I called for an appointment with a physician specifically for a cortizone injection in my left elbow. I was informed that the doctors do not give coritzone injections anymore however, a PA would. I had an appointment on May 19th at 1:20 with E. Harris. We met and discussed my situation, I was doing all the necessary things to help alleviate my pain. I was then told that cortizone injections were no longer given as a therapy for tennis elbow, data didn't support it. I explained that the pain was in my dominant arm and I really needed relief. I was then told to "get a bigger knitting needle" (I thought the pain began due to my learning how to knit) and/or "learn to do things with my right hand." I tried to find the humor in that but I still am not able to.

Had surgery last week and was running out of my pain meds and needed some more and she was of no help at all. I asked her for a direct line so I could call them myself and she claimed there was no direct line and then hung up on me. Not a very caring clinic. Just another number to them

Experiencia negativa: This place SUCKS. The parking lot is absurdly bad. There’s literally 8-10 cars circling at all times looking for parking. I parked 3 blocks away in some dudes driveway. The attendants are unkind and unhelpful. Not to mention all the strict rules and unhelpful overall. Just terrible.

Experiencia negativa: Not really sure why it took so long but I had to wait an hour and a half to get somebody to see my grandpa! At some point we were the only 2 people waiting there. Very unacceptable. I’d definitely suggest trying out Essentia instead.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give no stars I would,first time in referred from the clinic,and was misdiagnosed.went back for knee pain and was told it was a IT band.was not even touched or examined by the Dr I saw.had to beg for a MRI to be done.they gave me nothing for pain and I was told that they had to make sure my insurance would cover the MRI cost.i have been confined to my living room floor for 7 days now.with no relief.my MRI was yesterday morning and 24 hrs later no word. Worthwhile doctors would be better instead of building a huge monstrosity.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible experience, I've been in pain for 19 years. I know I'm young, but they keep telling me to come back if symptoms worsen. I did and they argued with me and told me I have a low pain tolerance and need to see the pain doctor again. These PA's are under experienced and lazy. The doctor saw me once and won't touch it. If you won't help me send me else where instead of wasting the last 2 years for nothing. We have tried multiple ways to ease the pain with no luck. My employer sent me home several times from the pain and the fact that I can barely walk. The doctors know what's wrong just won't fix it or refer me elsewhere. I'm supposed to suffer until a doctor can help me or what? I got a lot of attitude when I had my appointment last week. Also, he printed off the appointment summary in the middle of the appointment. He wasn't even listening to me. What a waste it was, now I'm waiting to see a different more experienced doctor thankfully. I can see why this doctor left Sanford, he's way better than what they've got. I know multiple people who recommend him to everybody. It pays to do your job and care.

Experiencia fantástica: I wouldn't go any where else to be seen for fractures! Both my mom and myself received the best treatment here at the Orthopedic Walk In. They got both of us in for X-rays within 20 minutes of walking in (two separate dates). The doctor saw us in about 20 minutes after that. Excellent service, very thorough staff and I would highly recommend this facility to any one needing to be seen for their Orthopedic needs. Forget the emergency room, unless you want to wait for HOURS!

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely horrible. I had an appt for a monday but was in so much pain I called to get something earlier. Had to change who I would see but I took it. Apparently the girl I spoke with does not know how to do her job and knows nothing about how to schedule because she messed up scheduling and now I have to suffer because of her.

Experiencia fantástica: I drove 270 miles to see a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon that was recommended by another doctor for a second opinion. I was very impressed with this doctor and had a very good experience at Sanford. There are other negative reviews with unfortunate circumstances, but I am happy to say that I didn't experience any issues. Everyone was very nice and the doctors were exceptional. When we saw my sons doctor, he wanted a second opinion from a collègues who was a hand specialist. He was there within minutes to check out my sons hand. I was very impressed by this. When I left there, I felt good about who I saw and what they came up with for a recovery plan. I knew my son was in very good hands. That was 4 weeks ago and his recovery is right on track and is going the way they thought it would. We will be going back for a follow up appointment in a couple weeks.

Experiencia positiva: Didn’t appreciate being walked in on while I was changing. Doctors did not knock well before entering. X-ray staff was amazing but doctor seen doesn’t have people skills. Didn’t have phone numbers on hand that would help myself or any other patients get the care they need. When walked in on while changing was told “Oh I didn’t realize you were a scheduled patient..thought you were just a walk in “. That shouldn’t matter. And as I said excuse me to “HIM” he just still sat down and continued his questions he had to ask me.

Experiencia negativa: Came in on a Monday, holding onto the wall. I had x-ray & sent sent to Sanford on University for a doppler ultra sound. Technician called Dr Greg Orson he said it was a bakers cyst behind my knee & to call in the morning & make appt for removal on Wednesday. Arrived & Dr said he will get x-ray to assist. 2 hours later at 4:30 , they said it will be another hour, 5:30 pm a rude nurse had me walk 1/2 ways across the clinic to tell me some one drove 125 miles & come back another day. While limping out, I said I will not pay for today & will notify my Insurance to deny also, She yelled. OH, YES-YOU WILL !!!!! I spoke to patient relations , she asked if I called back to set up another appointment. No ! . I called Essentia Health on 32nd Ave south Fargo. They got me in the next morning & Dr Ryan Kessel looked at chart & in no time he had drained the Cyst He DID NOT need X-ray to assist as Dr Orson DID. !!!! Finally my pain was gone. Unlike Orson & others at Sanford- - Dr Ryan Kessel & staff were friendly, effeficent & competent. I will not ever be returning to any Dr at Sanford. You are only a number with no consideration or respect., my primary Dr outside of Sanford always receives notes on my file. Dr. Greg Orson's notes forwarded for visit said. " She came in today" Wow, Crazy

Experiencia negativa: Terrible patient service by one of the PAs. Not sure how she can be employed there with no people skills. I was treated like a number and not a person. Besides diagnosing me without even physically checking my problem area, she talked to me in a very offensive and condescending manner from the very beginning. I felt judged, minimized and scolded instead of getting the help I sought for. She also tried to make an excuse for her behavior for the appointment being at the end of the day. Very unprofessional.
