It's hard to imagine not having received the education, treatment, and support from Sam to best equip myself for my pregnancy, labor, and postpartum recovery! In this postpartum period, I'm still seeing Sam to help heal my body and get back to the physical activity I did prior to my pregnancy. In the few short months that I have been going to Onward Elli has been helping me with my Adductor Magnus/Hamstring/Hip Flexor injury. Before I started seeing her, there were things I couldn’t do, like a glute bridge! When I’m down on myself for not being able to do something, she spins it into a positive and makes me feel better. She works with my CrossFit Coach and gives her exercises for me. Elli and Onward are team players and do everything they can to help me heal. He is super thorough with communication and making sure to tweak things as needed I’m an Olympic weightlifter and been dealing with tendinitis for a long time and I’m truly amazed how quickly we were able to dial in my pain in advance of competition. I had been on and off medications, seen a bunch of different doctors, and nothing seemed to help. And then I came here! I was skeptical at first because I had been to physical therapy before, and didn't have the best experience. Onward PT couldn't be more different! I felt seen, heard, and actually started having tangible improvements in my life, thanks to the help provided by Dr. Lemminger. The physical therapy experience here is personalized, and you can tell that so much effort is put into addressing the patients concerns. Communication is top notch, which I absolutely love! Dr. Lemminger helped me so much with my primary issue, but also with my overall health (exercise, nutrition, sleep, etc) and other issues that cropped up (like tendonopathy in my thumb). I finally feel like I've got a grip on my life, and the problems that were constantly interfering with my life are no longer looming over me. Experiencia fantástica: Dr Lemminger and her student in training have been great to work with. I have a chronic neck injury which flairs up from time to time. They have been effective with providing symptom relief, through dry needling and specific stretches/exercises, as well as guiding me through how to strengthen and protect the area. Two things I really like about working with them are 1) their communication - I always know what we are doing and why, and what the next steps are 2) that they help me get back to do doing the specific hobbies I want to do, not just general fitness. Further, they are very practical and understand that sometimes we need to do active things even while not fully healed. That kind of mindset and understanding is very appreciated. Would highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Saw Dr. Brian and Dr. Ellison today and couldn’t have had a better experience. I came in with debilitating nerve pain from my back that radiated all the way into my feet. It was hard for me to stay standing for more than a few minutes. I had come in to see them with a surgical consultation already scheduled for later that week and the feeling that surgery would be the only way I would get relief. After the evaluation, care I received, and a treatment plan I now feel that this is treatable. I left being able to walk and stand for the remainder of the day and was able to start living life without the debilitating pain. The treatment plan has helped so much in getting the pain under control and is showing immediate improvements to progressing back to a healthy back. I cannot thank them enough for their approach, care factor, and deep understanding of how to progress me back to a healthy back.

Experiencia fantástica: I was here on a short visit (I used to live here) so I only had a few days to possibly get support for my chronically painful shoulder and back. Anna was simply amazing with her thoroughness. She made certain that she understood my struggles, and also my history, along with range of motion. I have never done dry needling but have done accupuncture, so I asked her opinion as to which would be best. She explained each and we opted for dry needling. The process was painless aside from the muscle reactions being awakened. Anna then showed me the exercises to do on my own and answered my questions, reiterating that she can refresh my memory by email if needed, and she will also email the instructions. Since the treatment yesterday, last night was the first night that I have not been awakened by pain. This $150 was money well spent. Thank you, Anna, I will be back. I highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: Onward Fort Collins and Dr. Sam Lemminger are great! Onward is a very welcoming and comfortable environment. I have been in 3 times so far to work on my lower back pain. Previously, the only relief I had was a temporary fix from muscle relaxers. With 2 weeks of dry needling and 3 weeks of area focused exercises, I am already seeing major improvement. I plan on making regular visits to onward to continue to work on and strengthen the weaker areas of my body to fix current issues and prevent future injuries.

Diagnoses, dry needling with e-stem and an exercise program got me going in the right direction. As I improved we adjusted the plan. PT is hard, but with the right advice, treatment and help like Onward provides, you will improve if you do the work.

I've been seeing her for about a year and a half now for issues ranging from migraines, neuropathy, and running issues, and I always leave feeling like a new person. Love that Onward incorporates a wide variety of techniques including dry needling +/- electrical stimulation, joint mobilization, cupping, myofascial work - all coupled with a focus on strength training in order to prevent future injuries. Dr. Brian Melrose took the time to discuss my medical history and offered his approach based on sound medical practices. He used a procedure called dry needling ( not as scary as it sounds). Within two hours after the appointment, I was pain free! I am looking forward to my next visit. Maybe he can work his magic on my other side. I highly recommend Dr. Brian to anyone who is experiencing chronic pain in their jaw.

Experiencia fantástica: I came in at pain level 8 and left at 0. Elli immediately ran through a thorough diagnosis of my health and issues related to pain needing therapy. Five days post-delivery of my second child, I came in with shooting back spasm pain lasting over 24hrs. From there, my visit was a fully customized experience — relieving immediate pain with dry needling, fascia massage & joint alignment adjustments in addition to a long-term solution plan to rehab weakened areas including the pelvic floor with a stretch and strengthen regimen to get ahead of any future pain. I can’t say enough about the work Brian & Elli are doing at Onward. My husband has been telling me to visit for years, ever since seeing Brian for neck pain which has since been pain free. Experiencia fantástica: I have seen many physical therapists over the years for varying injuries. I have seen Brian for neck/shoulder pain, scoliosis pain, and sciatica. Brian is by far the smartest PT I have ever worked with and a wizard with dry needling. He explains very clearly without dumbing-down the anatomy and knows how to heal just about everything. I can't reccomend this clinic enough for any pain/injury/pelvic floor issue you're having.

Experiencia fantástica: The chronic pain in my wrists/elbows has been going on for almost 15 years with no improvement, even after 3 (potentially) ill advised surgical interventions. I have seen 5 upper extremity specialists and 11 different PT's, acupuncturists, chiropractors, and massage therapists. None were able to help and many didn't seem to care what my outcome was. Dr. Brian is truly a progressive, intelligent, and caring doctor. He is the first to actually spend time listening to what's been going on, believe me when I describe my symptoms, and approach my issues systematically from a whole body/mind perspective. With Dr. Brian's support and guidance I am, for the first time in years, starting to see improvement and feel hope again that I will be able to get back to a normal life without constant pain. He listened to what I had to say, and answered all of my questions in great detail. He then came up with a plan to get me moving and active again. She helped guide me in workouts and addressed any aches and pains I had while I was pregnant allowing me to workout my whole pregnancy. She also educated me and went through birth prep with me. I was then able to see her just 2 weeks after birth to begin the healing process using dry needling to help my pelvic floor recover and initiate exercises to return to daily life and CrossFit!

Experiencia fantástica: Brian has treated me for several injuries and overuse issues with excellent results. I initially came in with severe shoulder pain stemming from an injury and subsequent surgery I had in 2016. I was immediately impressed with Brian’s knowledge, enthusiasm, and ability to accurately diagnose exactly what was going on with my shoulder. He put together a treatment plan that was easy to understand, easy to follow, and proved to be very effective in a surprisingly short amount of time. I was so happy with the outcome that I decided to keep seeing Brian to address some overuse issues and imbalances I had developed from years of competitive cycling that were less acute than my shoulder, but starting to become problematic. Through a combination of physical manipulation, dry needling, and prescribed exercises, I continued to see significant improvements. In addition to treating my symptoms, Brian has gone above and beyond to help me better understand biomechanics and prevent similar issues from developing in the future. I can’t recommend Onward Physical Therapy highly enough. It’s clearly evident that Brian is genuinely invested in his patients and passionate about his profession, and it would be hard to find better care than you will receive here.

I've tried other places and methods for relief, but what Brian did for me was the most helpful ever. He explained in detail what was going on, treated me, and gave me exercises to do at home. I left with a treatment plan and timeline until I can climb again. Outstanding. Additionally, Brian plans to address my weaker anterior muscles to prevent future bicept and shoulder injuries.

This took considerably longer than the scheduled hour for which I was not charged. Brian appears to be passionate about spreading health as primary. Experiencia fantástica: Prior to meeting Mr. Melrose I was dealing with really bad patella tendinitis in both of my knees for about three years. I’ve tried anti-inflammatories, I’ve also tried injections and scar tissue removal surgery. None of that seem to help. However, after meeting Mr. Melrose I was able to get the help that I needed and understand what it is that I need to do an order to be pain-free and have mobility again. Mr. Melrose took the time out of his day after work hours to show me what it is I need to be doing at the gym in order to move in the right direction to recover. And after I was introduced to these different exercises and recovery exercises I’ve been feeling a lot better. I can actually work out and play sports pain free.

Experiencia fantástica: Brian has been amazing with my shoulder recovery! I went to a surgeon and they told me that I needed surgery. Well I have 2 kids and I didn’t have 6+ wks for recovery. I brought my MRI results to Brian and he said absolutely not do I need surgery my muscles just need to be rehabbed and strengthened. I am beyond grateful and blessed to be able to pick up my kids and throw a ball with them again! Because of Brian I feel like I have part of my life back. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
