Experiencia fantástica: Compared to the other nursing homes we visited close to the hospital, this one looked best well kept. First day or two were an adjustment but staff were responsive to our concerns, Even the lady in the kitchen. Nothing bad to say. We came and went home.. thank God for people who take care of the sick

Experiencia negativa: Horribly managed facilities… my mother has been here for a week. Her call button was not working for 4 days straight. Most of people don’t really care. If you ask for anything you will be lucky if it’s don’t in hours after multiple follow up. They just do the bare minimum that they’re supposed to. The facility is very rundown and bare bones, Very poor, communication and service. Don’t even get me started on the food. Every nurse has 26 patients to take care of in one shift so you can only imagine what kind of chaos that creates. They do neglect their patients. I would not recommend this facility to anybody!

Experiencia fantástica: My grandmother was on hospice and we had no idea where to even begin to ensure she is as comfortable as possible. Our close family friend had shared their experience with Windsor country drive care center and that really sold us on bringing her here. From the very beginning, the staff were detail oriented and were very caring and empathetic. They had all shown the same level of care and support we would show our grandmother. At Windsor Country Drive Care Center, they make you feel like family and cared for even through the toughest times. My family and I can’t thank them enough for all that they have done for us!

Experiencia fantástica: I am so beyond pleased with the quality of care my grandmother received here. The staff at Windsor went above and beyond to make sure my grandmother was comfortable, heard, and always taken care of. I am so appreciative of the staff here, and have continuously referred other friends and family there.

Experiencia fantástica: The care I received at this facility was WONDERFUL!!!!! Every CNA I had was super attentive to my needs, assisted me whether it was to the bathroom or the dining hall shower time and bed time especially. Ms. Veronica, Xiomara, Marjinda, Stella, Mary, Belle, and Ms. Yan just to name a few. These wonderful ladies helped me through some really rough days and sometimes nights. Speaking of which I cannot forget my favorite male CNA’s as well; Franklin, Juan, Raidan and two more young men whose names I cannot remember for the life of me. They know who they are and how important they were and are to me. The staff over all was great from activities coordinator, Ms. Leilani, Erika, and Natalie. These ladies provided me with books to read, games, movie nights with that delicious popcorn lol . To social services department ; Eduardo and Dulce who always checked in with me to see how things were going and if I needed assistance with my insurance, transportation, or anything else that came to mind. Last but not least.. SHOUT OUT TO PT AND OT!!!!!!!!!! Govin, Nab, Eric, Donna.. I honestly would not be where I am now without them. They taught me in two weeks how to transfer properly, pivoot, use a wheelchair and a walker .. and when my insurance wouldn’t cover a wheelchair and a walker for me to discharge with Govin with no hesitation offered to let me borrow one until my family could get one for me. The kindness, respect, and care that everyone showed me I will never forget!! OMG shout out to the kitchen staff and the dietitian who always looked for feed back and took it seriously.. thank you all so so very much!! I’m not saying it’s the place for everyone.. but it was just right for me!! Love you Ms. Juana and Mary who were kind to me and showed me love everyday they were at work.. I will never forget either of you!!!

Experiencia negativa: I would not recommend this place to anyone the neglect from the staff is beyond me unfortunately this is the only place that accepts my grandpas insurance so we had no choice but the conditions he was left in when we discharged him was very upsetting and this isn’t the first time they asked us a week ago to write his name on all his clothes so we did but they some how managed to dress him in someone else’s clothes they sent him to dialysis with pants that where falling to his knees they where too big his shirt was too big it was dirty and had stains all over it he wasn’t even wearing shoes on top of that previously my grandma found another patient wearing my grandpas clothes and we had suspected they weren’t even bathing him regularly like they said they would another thing that bothered us is when we would go visit my grandpa patients would be sitting on there beds with no clothes on just a hospital gown exposed and when we would tell a nurse they would just say “oh we know” that’s a little uncomfortable and unsanitary for both the patient and visitors but wait it gets better they even lost my grandpas brand new pair of seeing glasses that my grandma paid out of pocket for I’m filled with anger to know this is how my grandpa was being taken care of and I feel more sad for others who have loved ones there windsor please do better train your staff to have more compassion I know this a tough job but this is not how you handle the elderly

Experiencia negativa: If I could give this place a negative fifty million... It would be top of the list! The intentional neglect my family member has recieved is a understatement. The floor staff lacks cultural humility and compentence. Their lack of customer service is horrible. Their response to patients needs is over 50 minutes (I timed it). Although their Admin team has been responsive, I do not want my loved one to be there. To watch them pass my love one to administer other patient's medicine and bypass my loved one and move on to the next room is upsetting.

Experiencia negativa: So in order to write a review I have to give it a one star even though it's not even worth a one star My Mom is in this facility It is the worst care possible I feel bad for every single patient that's in there The staff is rude unpleasant and empathetic and has no concern and shows no feelings towards anyone My mom has to wait over 2 hours to have her food because they lack common sense of having to pull back and open and cut food put trays close to patient so they're able to reach it have to wait over 2 hours that's ridiculous This whole entire place got contracted by COVID because somebody from the outside came to visit in and spread it to everybody My mom included but again these people have no empathy not waste your time do not send your loved ones to this facility I'm trying everything I can to get my mom out of there

Experiencia negativa: This place is Terrible. My dad arrived & was put in a room & no one came for 1hr 1/2. So dirty, disgusting & unsanitary. The administrator was yelling at her front desk staff. Had to call 911 to get him out. Don’t put your loved one here.

Mellina Marie 2 years ago

Experiencia negativa: I went here to visit a family friend. When I walked in, the receptionist told me and my mom that only one visitor was allowed at a time. I had to wait by the front. When we left, the receptionist kept looking at us up and down with an attitude. She was not very friendly. So I looked back at her and said yes? I don’t know why someone with a staring problem works at the front desk. If she hates people she should find a different job. She can learn to say goodbye and have a nice day, which should be done in the first place. The tvs in the rooms still do not work and they don’t know when they will be. It’s been almost a week now.

Experiencia negativa: THIS FACILITY IS A JOKE!! If you see all these NEGATIVE REVIEWS and 1 STAR ratings—BELIEVE THEM!!! This place would be the Final Destination your loved ones. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!

Experiencia negativa: October 30, 2023: Currently trying to get a working bed for my mom, since the one she has does not go up high enough to get in proper position for eating. They told me yesterday this would happen before her next meal, but already breakfast has passed. I had to remind them twice this morning. We’ll see if they get it done before lunch.

Experiencia negativa: (1 of 2) This review is presented specifically towards Cynthia, the Head Administrator at Windsor country Care Center in Fremont CA. So the good folks in the community know who's handling their loved-ones care. Cynthia is a terribly difficult person to talk/deal with. Especially for a person who is in charge of, and responsible for so many people. She has abysmal manners and she belittles EVERYONE she can, from Visitors, Patients, to Staff, CNA"s, Nurses, Janitorial, etc. It seems she takes great pleasure in the way she can throw her ill-intended demeanor around and does not possess an "edit" button in regards to her verbal interactions, or abuse. Narcissistic tendency is her true nature/personality. Firstly, having never met her before, she had told me to "shut up" several times, during our first encounter. And that was after her asking me a series of questions that I believed she was needing answers to? She told me I was hostile and temperamental to and too not speak to her "that way"? I never acted out, or acted hostile in any way, shape, or form! And mind you, her and I, had never met before! I treat everyone the same and I'm extremely cordial and polite to a fault! I treat everyone qith respect. But, every encounter I had after that inital conversation with Cynthia, was always the same. I felt tortured everytime I had to interact with her... I endured her treatment the entire time of my stay at Windsor, and unfortunately. I listened to her belittle staff daily, bark orders at others, and it seems she was only happy when she was doing these sorts of things, or acting out her behavioral issues ... I'd never seen her happy, or joyous, ever. I often wondered what she was like outside of work?

Experiencia negativa: This facility was the WORST facility my father was placed in. If you care about your loved one, do not send them to this place. It is one of Kaiser's go to's. Kaiser and this facility failed my father in so many ways. Please DO NOT send your loved one here.

John Bain 2 years ago

Experiencia negativa: Horrible care at this place. My mother was sent here for care. My father visits daily and he's furious with how they're neglecting his wife. The staff doesn't thoroughly clean their patients diaper mess. My mother has an infection on her bottom that isn't being treated properly after diaper change. She's been in there a whole week and they still haven't bathed her. We told the head staff that if they continue this unsatisfactory treatment, that we will take her out of there immediately. Seriously, 4 hours, 2 call lights and they still didn't show up to change her diaper. It took my father to finally get someone to come change her. Another issue with this place is they put 3 patients per room with no room for visitor's to sit. Her first day there she arrived before noon and told her she wouldn't get dinner nor lunch. They didn't offer her anything. We had to bring her food so she could have something to eat. I've read the reviews of this place and some are 2-5 years old and you'd think they'd fix these issues. I highly recommend not sending your loved one's here for any type of care. We are working to have her moved to a different care facility.

Windsor Country Drive Care Center

Experiencia negativa: If I could give it 0 I would. This place is disgusting and their care is awful. My mother was placed here after having a back surgery and was neglected and over medicated to the point she was nonverbal and hallucinating! When I asked her “nurse” what meds she was on and if she was on her antidepressants because if not it could affect her neurologically and he responded with “I don’t know what she’s on, looks like she is on something for sadness” I had to demand to be given the doctors contact to have her meds looked at and inform him of her mental state, at which point he adjusted her meds and it took a couple days for her to speak clearly again. She was left stuck In a wheel chair for half a day because no one “knew how to assist her back into bed” she was left sitting in her own bowl movement for hours causing a severe diaper rash. When I visited I could hear lights left unanswered for hours. The ceiling panels were falling down, the curtains were stained with brown, the windows, and cabinets were filthy, there were extra random stuff stored in the patients rooms, there was no where for visitors to sit with patients who had to stay in their beds. Each room had 3 beds in it with very little room in between. The food looked and smelt horrible and my mother lost an unhealthy amount of weight due to the food being so bad. The staff was rude, overworked and never had an answer for anything. If you ever get sent here fight for somewhere else, do not ever leave your family member here.

Windsor Country Drive Care Center

Hi Sara. Thank you for taking the time to leave your review and to bring these issues to our attention. We are very sorry for your mother's experience at our care center and take your comments extremely seriously. We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss them with you, so please contact the regional vice president at [email protected] at your earliest convenience.

Experiencia negativa: My dad stayed for short term there but mother still in this facility, a lot of time I do get help and answers for my questions.. sometimes the staff is rude, they don’t have enough coverage, patients always need help.. the facility is clean but smells bad they don’t open the windows for ventilation, building is old, bathrooms are not well maintained, I was told by the dr this is the best facility in Fremont… you always have to be on top with the management in order to get your loved one good care.. but now the facility is closed for visitors due to coronavirus again which sucks… my mother can’t stay without seeing me everyday… she is very upset ..

Experiencia fantástica: When Stroke struck you like a lightening, you woke up in a body that you can no longer control. Your right arm and leg can no longer move as if they don't exist plus you have trouble speaking. It was what happened to my husband when he came out of the hospital and was transferred to this Skilled Nursing Facility, Windsor Country Drive Care Center. I can't thank enough to all the staffs at Windsor who took great care of my husband for the last 5 weeks to a point he could start walking again! My special thanks went to the entire Physical Therapy team (SP/OT/Speech Therapy) - Adrian, Ryan, Tatiana, Swati, Heather and many more. You made a big difference in our lives. Adrian & Ryan big thanks to you for giving my husband a second chance to walk again and he was off to a great start at the acute rehap! Tatiana, we loved you and she showed how much she care about her patient. Many thanks to Meenakshi, Rajani as well, your helps and support meant a million to us. Keep up the good work, we wish people start realizing and appreciating some of the good work you guys have done as much as we do!

Experiencia negativa: I was at Windsor from October 10th through October 29th and from the time I got there until the time I left it was miserable. There were constant mix ups with my medication, complete lack of insight into how to draw blood from a PICC line, severe mistreatment of my roommate who was under the care of hospice and dying, forced to stare at trays of food every day for hours even though she could not feed herself, before eventually being fed by staff. I was not given the physical therapy or the occupational therapy I was promised, my laundry was lost, the food was horrible, staff yells rather than speaks to clients which was demeaning as well as detrimental to a migraine headache, and it was not kept clean as one bathroom was shared between 6 patients and there was constantly urine on the floor, Daly. On the day of my discharge, nobody knew whether or not my doctor was on schedule as he had told me he would be, most didn't even know who he was, and I was told to talk to a social worker then to a discharge nurse and then each told me they didn't know what to do without my doctor, who nobody knew or could find out his schedule for me. It took from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. to get my discharge settled so that I could finally leave that awful place and go back home. I was only there receiving the remainder of IV antibiotics to cure a strep a infection that has come close to killing me 3 weeks prior to my arriving at Windsor. I don't live in Fremont, I am from Santa Cruz California, so I was very much alone without family and friends to visit me. It would have been comforting if the staff had an ounce of empathy rather than treating patients as just another number they had to deal with. I understand they are overworked with 30 patients to one nurse, it would have been comforting if the staff had an ounce of empathy rather than treating patients as just another number they had to deal with. I understand they are overworked with 30 patients to one nurse, but even under those circumstances some nurses were actually nice and sweet and on top of things, it vwaa the others there in the majority, unfortunately, that made my stay frustrating, depressing, unprofessional, and inexcusable in my opinion. How sad to see room after room full of elderly patients all alone being treated without dignity, all who once lived Lives full of value, excitement, how sad to see room after room full of elderly patients all alone being treated without dignity, all who onve lived Lives full of value, excitement, and meaningful moments, but stuck to live out their days alone at Windsor, among overworked staff who seemed angered by their needs. The good staff made me smile on occasion, but overall it was not all it was made our to be by a longshot. I was very vocal the entire time about my dissatisfaction and demanded i get my needs met, but i am capable of doing that, what about all the patients too old or ill to speak out? Please don't send your parents or relatives to Windsor unless you can commit to being an advocate for them, otherwise, tour loved one will be treated as just a number, not a human being deserving of respect.

Experiencia positiva: Good & bad experience. My sister was admitted in a 3 bed room Room was terrible. Room was dark, smelled and was also used as a storage for wheel chairs. I requested admission to transfer to 2 bed room which was empty & available & took 4 days for them to do so. Admission department is not helpful at all. The staff to help the patient was awesome. They are all really good and are there to help the patient right away. Physical therapist was excellent. Fully satisfied with the care but not with admission department.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible. My dad was transferred here from kaiser after a stroke. when i got there his bed was under a heater vent and it was so hot in there. we are big people and dont take heat well. he was nearly named it was so hot! they gave him this stupid little fan that barely did anything. it was so hot even another patient was in the hallway trying to fan herself off. sad. next morning he didnt eat breakfast cause he had to go get it. he was able to get lunch, but because the stroke he started choking on it. he was supposed to be on pureed foods. The interior hasnt been updated since the 80's and the patients are rude. although i would be too if i was placed in that hell hole. Fun Fact: This is the place where my uncle died. They clearly dont take good care of their patients. my dad was there for two days until they had to call 911 cause he was short of breath. hmm i wonder why. Edit: They inserted a catheter and punctured his bladder. He lost 1 litre of blood and bacteria infected his blood and gave him sepsis. Thanks for making him worse than he already was.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible food, service, and too understaffed to provide adequate care. Half hour response times are common to the nursing 'light'. Patients aren't turned enough and I find it almost 3rd world. Some nurses don't even speak English so communication of needs can be really tough at times. Don't bring your loved ones here.

Experiencia fantástica: The nursing staff, PT and OT took great care of my Mom. We left her in the evening knowing, shewas is in good hands. Zaira Mendoza, CNA was so compassionate and very gentle with Mom. Mom especially enjoyed the food and all the attention she was getting from the staff. Thank U Windsor Drive for making my Mom's stay pleasant.

Experiencia negativa: If you can stsy far away this place is a joke a dirty my grandfather came do to fall so needs therepy. Tbe first day he was here we came to visit and he had been sitting in his urine for over an hour, if my mom would not have showed up who knows how much longer before he got cleanrd up. This place is to full people triping over eachother tons of equipment in hallways which to me is hazardous. The staff are so very rude dont even think to ask a question with out them rolling their eyes and sighing. Communication sucks no one knows nothing its crazy and the staff talk about tge patients and if im abke to hear i can imagine how many other people can hear. Its just very unprofessional. All in saying is do your research before you leave your loved one in a place like this to be treated because its gonna make you upset.
