Experiencia negativa: My experience is based on the policy of the establishment and not the service: Visited the Ortho to get my left Knee and left Ankle checked and was told they can only treat one joint at an appointment and should come back other day for another joint. When I asked how that made sense, they replied it’s their policy and that they cannot perform X-rays for all the parts. It is not clear yet if my one joint pain was caused by another joint. And have refused to treat me by pain but by joint. Made me realize if they had a general practice, they’d probably ask a patient with cold, cough, and fever to book 3 different appointments so they charge them 3 times

Experiencia negativa: What a terrible experience with this office. I've tried REPEATEDLY to get medical records for myself and treatment that I recieved for a shoulder injury/PT back in May of 2021. Considering these are health related records, it shouldn't be that hard (you would think). Unfortunately, that's not the case here. I've lost count of the number of times that I've called, left messages, went into the office, and even emailed their director (based on the card I was given by the office staff) - and yet, have not gotten this resolved since I started requesting these in May 2024. I can't even get a call back or speak to someone who is knowledgeable on the subject. Every time I call, it's typically a transfer to an extension with no one to answer and only an option to leave a voicemail (which is never returned) or the usual excuse that the staff turnover rate is so high that no one knows anything about the system and how to retrieve these records (a problem in itself but I digress). Considering that I recieved on-site medical treatment (repeatedly), paid funds for said treatment (repeatedly), and need these records for my military evaluators, this doesn't seem like rocket science...Provide records for services rendered. Unfortunately, I assume that the run-around will continue until I finally give up. As far as the actual services that I did recieve, the physical therapists were great and I would reccomend them if this was based solely on their abilities. Unfortunately the larger issue of the office and management being unable to maintain any sort of post-treatment transparency/support makes this one business that I will not be reccomending. Please seek care elsewhere.

Medical assistant was very kind and helpful. PA was VERY informative and patient! Everyone at the office was always professional but also friendly. Dago and Megan in the front office were absolutely the best . I actually called for a last minute appointment- I was leaving for a trip in the morning and I really needed some peace of mind. The front desk was friendly and helpful! I was greeted with a smile and didn’t wait too long to be seen. Each person I talked to actually listened to what I said about the pain/discomfort I was having. The X-Ray Tech was reassuring, friendly, quick and very gentle so that I didn’t have to be in an uncomfortable position for X-rays. When I saw the PA, he actually asked me what MY EXPECTATIONS were going out of the visit! He wasn’t looking to write a Rx for something I didn’t need! After questions and movement activity, I was given my diagnosis and told if the pain continued to call and they would get me scheduled for an MRI and bc they had done all the X-rays, testing and questions- I wouldn’t need to be reevaluated! I was very happy with the information given to me and the customer service I received from the phone to the time I walked out. And I was able to have peace of mind for my trip! I will keep their number handy for sure!

Experiencia negativa: I am very very disappointed with this office. I did call and explained I have pain on my right knee and some on my left knee. I arrived for my appointment to this medical office, they asked me to fill out my medical condition and I did, but No Questions asking about all my current medications...But all my medication information was asked after they charged me for Medicare deductible Medicare and united healthcare, then they guide me to the patient room and asked me all my medication information - not from the begining. They started Xrays, Nurse Practitioner told me She will send pain medication relife to CVS. I get home She left me a message you are not getting any pain medication because of Warfarin. I had a few surgeries all they ask me stop not to take Warfarin 1-4 days prior to procedure. this is the same medication I had before after my knee surgeries. What kind of office is it? instead of care and Patient Treatment they ll send me home to suffer the Pain I had yesterday and I had today in their office and will have to suffer this pain tomorrow and days to come. I will send the complaint of my Pain Visit to the Texas Medical Board of Orthopedics and more. I need treatment and care and complete Refund no charges to my insurances....Please let me know. Thanks

Experiencia fantástica: Very friendly staff, from my appointment setting(which was complicated. I was asking Dr Berry to basically finish what another surgeon, in another country started), to the appointment. Also, while reading about Dr Berry in the waiting lounge, I saw he was from San Diego, So I knew I was in the right place(thats my hometown)! He was very nice, laid back, knowledgeable and answered any questions and concerns. I highly recommend Dr Berry and his team.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been living in pain for years because Dr Berry botched my ankle surgery. His practice is chaos, he has had a lot of staff turnover and it makes it hard for patients to establish a history with his providers if there’s a new one every few weeks. It’s hard to get his attention for more than a few minutes, which explains why he did surgery on the WRONG PART OF MY ANKLE. I put thousands of dollars into treatment, surgery, and PT in addition to lots of PTO. After all this they thanked me by refusing to provide me with my surgery records. When they finally did give me the surgery records they were for THE WRONG SURGERY from a year prior. I kept calling back and coming in to get my records only to be sent away empty-handed and they eventually stopped returning my calls. Lastly, his PT provides are rude and disrespectful. Update: check out this reply from the business where they try to high road me. I called these people weekly asking for my surgery report and left messages in the mailboxes that they transferred me to only never to get any sort of reply. Now they’re interested in talking with me because I’ve left a bad review. Where was this concern before? Yeah, I ended our call because I was done talking with them. I explained my situation and they just tried to make a bunch of excuses. But the best part is when they told me that I could have my medical records that I have been asking for since a week after my surgery FOR A CHARGE.

Experiencia negativa: 8.22 23 After coming here for over 3 yrs I can no longer recommend this office. I have received wonderful care from Dr. Berry and 2 of his P.A.s but customer service is lacking. I have been waiting for over 3 weeks for response regarding heel cups I was told I needed. They are not comfortable and don't work with my inserts. They refuse to take back & refund. I only used that day walking around house. I understand policy but there are always exceptions. Very disappointing.

Experiencia negativa: This place amazed me they are in business. I would not trust them for surgery at all they can not even get administrative procedures correct. We are cash customers and we're very open about that up front and asked prices up front with "I don't know what ot cost" and "it could vary for shoulder surgery " and "we won't know till we get in there" to me pushing to a surgeon fee of $4,500.00 and Anesthesiologist fee of $1,800, and a unknow facility fee. And would not accommodate the surgery off a MRI and wanted a second one. Very rude and unprofessional and lost in their approach to sports health care.

Experiencia negativa: I had shoulder surgery (SLAP) with Dr. Berry in 2019. After months of PT and no relief I begged for another MRI. It was found that my rotator had actually torn possibly during surgery and my labrum was still not repaired. After that, Dr Berry and his staff wanted nothing to do with me. I had another surgery with another practice at the end of 2020 and have since found relief. I had called Dr Berry’s office for months and left messages in the portal and they never returned my calls to discuss. Horrible experience.

My son needs shoulder surgery and we went in off online reviews and could not be less true.. its a sales center... they know nothing about any pricing or have solid affiliates to give MRI. They told us that the Star would do a MRI for $450so I assumed that if they referred us there they had a relationship and would be accountable. Not true. We are cash customers and call the Star and the price $930... big difference so I call back and let them know and they referred me another for $350 on the other side of fort worth we go and get it done waste a day to do so and set appointments to go over it and thee Dr. Said he could not read it and would need another on or to book a exploration sugary. But didn't know the cost of anything. So we wait a hour to get the prices which are the state maximum prices. I would not waste my time with Dr. B OR his staff.

Experiencia negativa: I scheduled an appointment here for my shoulder pain. The doctor performed some strength tests and was quick to decide that this wasn't something major and an injection would definitely help. The doctor only spent 10-15 mins in total with me, and I had to wait atleast 20 - 25 mins in the room. I had insurance and I thought all I had to pay was co-pay. They did not inform me about any other additional charges (injection, x-ray, and miscellaneous) and they've clear boards at the location near front desk stating they hate Surpise Bills(added a picture of the board near front desk). And here comes my surprise via insurance after a few days that I'll have to $157 more excluding the co-pay. I did not understand why I was billed, and later I went in to speak with them and the person and front desk says that apparently it's normal practice for the providers/hospitals to bill insurance 2-3 time more than the price, which doesn't make any sense. I've also attached their price list that was on their wall near front desk. I would recommend you all to ask questions upfront about the pricing even if you think you're covered by insurance. Such horrible practice!!

Experiencia fantástica: Wow, wow, wow. Finally a doctor that gets when you’re in excruciating pain you can’t wait for weeks to get it taken care of. The staff here is absolutely amazing so kind so friendly and so helpful. And Dr. Berry, wow, what a great bedside manner. He’s very straightforward gives you the pros and cons of each choice and is just a wonderful Doctor Who gets it. I’m going to have to have a knee replacement and I’m pretty athletic and do a lot of stuff and he was so helpful in telling me what I can expect and not expect. I can’t imagine anybody being any better than Dr. Berry. I feel very blessed that was I able to find Sport orthopedics and physical therapy.❤️ And yes, Dr. Berry’s worth the drive to Frisco

Experiencia fantástica: Came to Sport orthopedic because I got hurt from playing soccer. Went on a Monday and saw Dr. Berry, got checked and X-rays told me that I was actually broken. Berry was able to do surgery the next day. Next after the surgery Dr Orozco was Amazing, checking on me every visit and taking quick test to make sure I was healing good.After the visits I was doing Therapy with Ashley Polina. From the beginning to the end she was so awesome, that we made a really good relationship. She was making sure the healing was healing the way it should and making sure I was getting strength back on my ankle. Now I’m back playing soccer and feeling better like nothing happen. THANK YALL Sport Orthopedics for the love I got from everyone.

Experiencia negativa: Worst experience ever, the physical therapists are great but the medical practice is no good. I had laparoscopic surgery from Dr. Barry on my knee and I'm still in pain 4 months after surgery. The day of surgery, he didn't have a prescription for me after surgery so I had to wait 12 hrs post surgery to get my medication. Then, he doesn't schedule me for a week after surgery and told me to keep the dressings/bandages on until I see him in a week. He also didn't start physical therapy right away as all of the physical therapists I am seeing now are saying is poor practice. I am now trying to get my medical records from them to go somewhere else and it has taken months to even get a response. If all you need is physical therapy, they're great, if you need surgery/medical attention, avoid this place before they make your problem worse.

Experiencia negativa: Had a decent experience with the PTs...but their billing practices are suspect. I must have had around 10 PT sessions, and all are at $75 per session with or without insurance (what I was explained). I have high deductible insurance. Their cash price is $75. But then they kept pestering me for more on one session. All sessions were for the are the same exact treatment. So now, even with insurance, I am paying more out of pocket than a cash pay patient. so they took my $75 co-pay, took money from my insurance, and want even more from me?!? But they were fine with just $75 total if you don't have insurance. I went into the office to try to remedy this situation, but front office lady didn't budge. So yeah... be careful if you go here. You may get billed more than you are told initially.

Experiencia negativa: Upon my second visit (because it wasn’t resolved in my first) I had an injection on a Friday and was not told it may get worse before better so I was afraid I was having a reaction to the steroid or something. I called the after hours number to be sure everything was ok. Dr. Berry was on call and they paged him several times before I told them to stop at around 10pm. No one ever responded. It’s Sunday and I still haven’t heard anything from anyone. I’ll never go back just for the fact that it seems communication is terrible or that no one really cares.

Followed him from McKinney back to California back to McKinney to Frisco and to dallas, he saved my leg, er doc said it was going to be amputated, met berry, put me back together, big wow, long road, 6 months but i am 100%. Ripped my labrum, fixed it! Now fell on my right shoulder and under treatment, he is not knife hungry, offers options first. Trust him with my life! He is the man. Hard to explain him, but he is the best. If he can not fix it he will tell you so. I owe him my leg. Angel,!!!

My surgery process was very simple and I really didn’t have any questions. Everything I needed to know was given. My PT Chris is awesome and worked hard to prevent my surgery however I hit a plateau with recovery. Now after surgery, now back in PT, and well off to getting 100% again.

The MD Dr.O’Brien educated me thorough on my condition and explained the pros and cons. I did not feel rush. End results... I was given a steroid knee injection, cross my fingers it works. Experiencia fantástica: Great doctor and staff. I love the fact that the physical therapy is in the same office. Their administration is the most technologically advanced of any doctors office. All initial paperwork was web-based instead of being a document to be completed. For each subsequent visit, they send a text with a link to review/update your information. Regarding the treatment, recovery has been significantly faster and easier than when I had the same surgery on my other arm 3 years ago with a different doctor.

Experiencia fantástica: I saw Dr. Berry several years ago for hip bursitis. He took care of me with one shot to the hip. I'm back with age working against me and he's taken care of me again.

Experiencia negativa: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Dr. Berry will try to convince you to have needless surgery and didn't listen to me at all. Thankfully I resolved my issues without surgery and without his help. First time I arrived for my appointment, I was made to wait 45 minutes beyond my original appointment time, and Dr Berry spent less than 5 minutes talking to me before shooing me off to physical therapy (same office). In the middle of physical therapy he decided it wasn't working (I had done less than 10 sessions), told me I needed surgery, and referred me to get more testing. I told him my theories about brachial plexus entrapment and which exercises triggered it and he pretty much ignored everything I said and left the room after 5 minutes again. I was referred out to a specialist to test a specific set of nerves and lo and behold they didnt even test the area I told him was probably the root cause. EVERY time I went to this doctor I waited a minimum of 40-50 minutes and spoke to the doctor for less than 5. When I complained to the front desk because I was on my lunch break and couldn't keep waiting, they told me "sorry he's with a new patient". Seems that I never got this new patient treatment or his front desk is lying for him. OH and the best part is that I was able to resolve my numbness by going to a massage therapist who immediately identified that I simply had tight pec minor muscles which caused my shoulders to roll forward and entrap the nerves leading down my arm. I no longer have numbness in my arms when I sleep and it cost about a third of what Dr. Berry took from me. Waste of time, please consider exhausting all other avenues before going anywhere near this place. Dr. Berry is probably in it for the money and sucks at listening to his patients

Experiencia fantástica: Whenever you have a surgical procedure, you are appreciative of how everything will turn out. Well back on 4/2 I had a full knee replacement. Dr. Berry did a great job! Up the same day walking. Week one with walking with a walker. Week 2 with a cane. Physical therapy was excellent! Chris worked on my exact needs. Even worked on my hips and ankle movement. My balance has not been this good for years. Everyone from nurses, PA, PT and Doctor very professional and personable. .

Experiencia fantástica: Most dedicated medical professionals I’v EVER encountered. I had an injury from a horrible car accident and had no ideas how to proceed with my care. Dr. Berry and his staff put such great care is helping me and then his physical therapy team has worked miracles getting me healthy. Please give them a call and I promise you will be taken care of better than you ever have before!
