Experiencia fantástica: Gainesville PT and Wellness is the BEST! I am elderly and have been losing mobility at a rate that was accelerating when I asked my Dr for a referral to GPT and Wellness for muscle strengthening. Through the encouragement and expertise of my PT, Audrey, I've made great strides over the past 2 months and I am now looking forward to 6 months on the Wellness Program at GPT and Wellness where there is a real family like comraderie. Experiencia fantástica: I rarely rate anything as 5 stars, so this review may seem a bit lengthy. The summary is they are a pleasant, professional staff offering reasonably priced health and wellness programs in a relaxing environment. The more fullsome comments are that I cannot say enough good things about Gainesville Physical Therapy & Wellness. I have found if you put in the time and effort, PT almost always improves your condition. I have completed a course of physical therapy several times in the past at various venues, but none have been more successful than at Gainesville PT & Wellness. The front desk and office staff (Kim & Rachel) are efficient and pleasant. They work very hard on your behalf relative to ease of access, scheduling and payment. The physical therapists and the interns/students are extraordinarily skilled. The therapists ( David, Audrey, Chris & others) have all demonstrated strong listening skills and the ability to craft a personalized program that addresses your presenting issue(s) and really helps drive you to recovery. Gainesville PT & Wellness also offers an exceptional wellness program. It's flexible, innovative and surprisingly affordable. I joined in order to continue to build on the flexibility and strength I developed in my initial therapy sessions, with a view to continuing to improve and reduce future injuries. The exercise techs I have worked with (Kayla, Keith & McKayla) are supportive, encouraging and fun. They focus on ensuring that your exercise program is tailored to meet your goals while minimizing pain. One of the benefits of this welless program is the easy collaboration betwern the exercise techs and the medical team if questions arise. Important to me, is that I almost ALWAYS feel better after my session versus when I arrived. I highly recommend Gainesville Physical Therapy & Wellness for your therapy and exercise needs.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ll never stop coming here. These are some ways I’ve been helped…. At one time I had a painful shoulder (don’t remember which one), dizzy spells (not any more), poor posture (lots better), various aches and pains (physical therapists and exercise specialists always helpful). At my age (92), the balance exercises help so much; I’ve never had a fall. All this place every staff person becomes a friend.

Experiencia fantástica: I had physical therapy at Gainesville Phyical Therapy and Wellness for a ruptured archilles tendon. The whole staff there is very professional and friendly. They were very attentive and caring and I appreciated the time I spent there. If I need therapy in the future I will be sure to go back to their facility.

Experiencia fantástica: The therapists and office staff are all excellent. I was evaluated thoroughly and then presented with a plan. The therapists I worked with knew their stuff but also listened to me. I immediately saw results. The administrative staff were friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this facility.

Experiencia negativa: 2 visits and let them go. I will not name the therapist but I was absolutely mortified when he proceeded to perform dry needling for sciatica and subsequently pulled my pants down exposing my buttocks to an entire gym of staff and patients. Furthermore, after the needles were inserted (and I was in pain, literally crying)- when asked how long we would be doing this, he replied- and I quote - “not long, these aren’t billable hours”. I was then informed that the first session is free. And before you comment that I should have stopped all this before it started- 1. Had no idea this was going to happen as we were in the gym. 2. When you are that taken aback, sometimes you literally freeze. I left humiliated and angry and called to fire this establishment the next day. When the therapist called back to ask me if everything was ok, and I explained how unhappy I was with his treatment. he relied “oh, I’m sorry I didn’t think of that”. Are you KIDDING ME?!

Experiencia fantástica: I had an amazing experience with Audrey at Gainesville Physical Therapy. I’ve gone from waking up every few hours during the night with neck pain to sleeping pain-free. She really worked with me to figure out what helped, what needed tweaking, and even suggested pillows. It took time (so be patient with yourself!), but it’s worth it. The entire team is great.

I can do exercises to maintain my back health. I’ve learned how important is my core. I am 70 and am in better shape than a while. I continue to go weekly to do my exercises. Experiencia fantástica: Excellent ! Better than any clinic I have been to over the years. What sets them apart? They listen. They really listen and adjust rather than just plowing through a standard course of action. Treatment is truly personalized. My therapist, Christopher Carpenter, is amazing and never lets me give up hope. His assistant, Kate, is remarkable as well. The clinic itself is perfect. It is not too busy nor is it strangely quiet. There is a atmosphere of healing energy from everyone working there. It is unique!

He met me exactly where I was and moved me along so precisely that even though he gave me some challenging exercises, I never felt pushed or stressed. Week by week my pain decreased and my strength increased. He helped me develop greater body awareness, fine-tuning posture and form in ways that make a big difference. I graduated with a series of exercises to do to help keep my core and back strong to help prevent further pain (am now pain-free, which I wasn't sure would be possible). What a rewarding, pleasant and fun experience! The entire staff are a pleasure to deal with and collectively create a positive healing environment. I wish everybody who has pain from injuries or other conditions could see Dr. Lower or, if not him, one of his staff, because they all learn from him.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a frightening back pain incident that was incapacitating. I saw Dr. Chris Carpenter PT, DPT, TPI who was incredible. He first listened to my concerns with empathy, developed an aggressive recovery plan of care, and gave me hope that I would indeed recover. His treatments were excellent, giving me his full attention and encouragement when I was in the office and he developed a home plan of care for me that had me up and going in 2-3 weeks. I will forever be grateful for his expertise and his kindness, and if I ever need PT again Chris is my go to person. Before I had a back fusion, I went to GPT and they (Audrey) helped strengthen my back for a stronger recovery. After surgery I returned for rehab. It has proven to be a God send for me and my recovery.. They have shown much caring on how to managing my healing process. I walk in and my therapist , Audrey, has my session planned, however she listens to my body and readjust when needed. This is huge to me. Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Blanchard at Gainesville Physical Therapy and Wellness is a miracle worker. Her dry needling has given me more relief in 4 sessions than I’ve had in 30 years of trying to reduce or eliminate the knots in my traps.

Experiencia fantástica: Gainesville Physical Therapy and Wellness Center is superior to any other center in the following areas: 1) They have expert, welltrained physical therapists and assistants working with you. 2) You keep the same therapist throughout your recovery. They don’t assign you to a new person each time you come for therapy. 3) Your therapist sees and records your progress and shares your progress with you. 4) Your therapist listens to you and makes any adjustments to your program according Ft to how you are feeling that day. 5) Your therapist also makes copies of the exercises you do and sends them home with you to practice until you return for your next session. 6) All of the people there are vey positive and encouraging! 7) Their wellness program is a continuation of your therapy sessions with well-trained, encouraging people who stay with you as you work-out as they set-up your specific machines. 8) I would not go to any other place for physical therapy or follow-up wellness therapy! 9) Thanks to GPTW, I am making wonderful progress! Experiencia fantástica: After suffering a lower back injury at work, I could barely walk or stand for more than an hour due to a pinched sciatic nerve. Luckily, worker's comp sent me to GPTW where I met Ilya and Steve (best therapists ever)! After a month of targeted exercise and hands on manipulation, I was no longer limping and saw significant improvement at the end of the 4 months. Unfortunately, my sessions ended but I try to keep up with the exercises and positivity that I learned from my GPTW Family. Thanks you guys!

Experiencia fantástica: I started at Gainesville Physical Therapy back the first of Oct 2022, after having arthroscopic elbow surgery and ended Dec 05 2022 and returned to work at Amazon Dec 07, 2022. I work in a very physical job handling thousands of packages daily with weights from ounces up to 65 lbs. I waited to write this review until I had been at my job over a month. All I can say is the therapy and care they gave me was the best from the front office through all the therapists that worked with me. They got me back to a point where I can do my job without pain it has been amazing, I can't thank them enough, I have absolutely no pain in my right arm and would highly recommend them to anyone that needs to recover from an injury!!!!!!!!!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Chris and Ethan were very pleasant to work with, they definitely know what physical therapy is needed to improve and strengthen my muscles in my knee. With two torn ligaments in my knee and without surgery these two guys got me back to walking and jogging again, thanks to both if them for the hard work they do, and to the very friendly staff in the front office they were always very polite every time I walked in the door.

I had a fall injury that plateaued and wasn’t getting better with surgery and 2 years of Occupational Therapy. I was referred to GPTW by my OT. Dr Erienne was honest and told me that it was going to get worse before it got better and to hang in there with her. She was right, it did and it did get better. In less than 6 months I am now PAIN FREE for the first time in 3 years. GPTW takes a holistic approach to care. They offer not just PT, but also dry needling, chiropractic, and emotional support to help me get back to me. I can’t rave enough about how fantastic this team is! You should call them today!

Importantly, I had to go during COVID-19, and they were quick to tell me what precautions they were taking when I asked about the possibility of telemedicine. This reassured me so much that I went in person for several months before vaccines were available.

Experiencia fantástica: The best physical therapy I have utilized. I have been through therapy for knee replacement and shoulder surgery in my former hometown. It was very good but this facility and these professionals are truly outstanding. I was particularly impressed with the thoroughness of the initial assessment and the way they listened to me as the patient. It is very positive atmosphere with everyone (patient included) being part of the team. Loved that I could go online for home exercises. I had multiple issues (head, neck, shoulders and hips) and they were able to work with them all. I had relief very quickly. One of few places I have been that understands TMD issues. Highly recommend these professionals.

Experiencia fantástica: I tore my ACL over a year ago and it was very hard for me both physically and mentally. A lot of the time I didn’t have the energy to push through but my physical therapist, Ethan O’Hearn, always pushed me to do my best. He was always very supportive and enjoyable to work with. He ensured I was only doing exercises that were safe for me to do, due to my constant flair ups within my knee. He helped me get to a point where I started enjoying exercising again after an intense injury and helped me find my love for running again. Working with him was a great experience and he really helped me get to a point where I was fully functional with all extra curricular activities as well as with a knee that was stronger than ever.

Experiencia fantástica: Thank you so much to Erienne and all the staff at GPTW. I hurt my right shoulder, while working many years ago, after two surgeries, and previous PT I still didn't have the mobility and even half the strength I had before. I think the difference this time was the needling. It forced those muscles to heal themselves as I was building strength back. Now, after six months of PT with GPTW, I have full range of motion and probably 80% strength in my right shoulder.

I was skeptical on my first day but 6 weeks later I can turn my head again. I have learned a lifelong skill of how to care for my back issues. I'm very happy that my Doctor recommended this place.

I have been a loyal client of theirs for 6 years and will never look for another PT center. All the therapists and PTA’s at this practise are highly qualified. They have an array of specialities and you will never have to look to another practise for any PT needs. Everyone is welcomed. They treat everyone that enters their practise as a family member and you always feel welcomed and at home.

Experiencia fantástica: I have a pretty active lifestyle. My career involves heavy lifting and on top of that, I weight lift as a form of exercise. So back in November 2020, my back started to hurt. I didn’t decide to do anything about it until late December when it hurt to get out of bed or when it got in the way of doing my daily activities like grabbing something off the ground or something as simple as looking down. I started Physical Therapy here in January and completed treatment in February. I had Ethan as my PTA and was very impressed with the way he handled my questions/concerns. The staff all were super welcoming and you can tell they enjoyed working here. Fast forward to October and my back has not hurt like it did last year. If anything, it’s gotten stronger. I can now continue to lift heavy both in the gym and at work without fear of hurting my back because of the treatment and knowledge I received here. I can’t express to you how much it’s made such a difference in my life.

I had been afraid that I might not be able to walk again, but the exercises and manual therapy that I received have helped me regain 75%of my functioning back. I am no longer in constant pain, and my hip muscles are strong enough to support me when I walk a mile. It is a very big relief. I came in with a constantly painful lower back pain that made it difficult to walk (for years), and enjoy life with my family, due to a previous injury that had slowly transformed the way I moved. As of right now, I do not experience nearly any pain from the issues I came in with, and have so much more mobility and joy in my life as a result of being a patient here. I am able to play with my kids, do chores around the house, and simply be more involved! Thank you everyone at GPTW!

Experiencia fantástica: I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Gainesville Physical Therapy & Wellness after a shoulder injury. The teams' rehab plan was designed specifically for my individual injury. The staff was exceptional and my injury improved quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed every visit. By the end of my therapy, the staff was doing “Planks” and laughing with me  Unfortunately, I was injured again and my Closed Head Injury was terrifying. I was confused, unsure, and unsteady. I contacted Erienne who has a neck and cranial therapy specialty. Once again, GPTW designed an individualized program to help with my recovery. Recovery has been slow (as expected), but the entire staff has rallied around me and has enhanced the outlook of my new normal. Experiencia fantástica: I was very pleased with my evaluation and thorough exam of my problems. The care plan brought my pain to an acceptable level. I had consistent care from the same therapists for the duration of my care plan. I was evaluated and treated by Dr. Erienne Blanchard and a team of PTs for my neck and knee I had an extensive shoulder surgery which was evaluated and successfully treated by Sharon Rosenburg OT. Because of their consistantcy of care and pain control modalities I am confident of my recovery. I would not hesitate to return to them for any follow ups

I had rotator cuff surgery on my left shoulder in late January and was going to see Ethan in late February till early June.He treated me like Family with the utmost respect. He was very concerned about my injury and would Always ask at Every visit how I was doing and how was my shoulder. I would highly recommend this facility. Experiencia fantástica: GPTW has a unique business model that distinguishes it from most of the other PT faciities in Gainesville. The first is that it employees several full-time and part-time first rate PTs which makes it easy to be seen for routine and "new" issues. The second is that it links the initial PT to a very reasonably priced supervised wellness program that is monitored by the PTs to help sustain the positive impact of the original PT. Unlike the industrial feeling that you get in most PT establishments this is one in which the patient comes first and results are monitored over the short, medium and long-term. By keeping their overhead low in a convenient location, they are able to give patients first class treatment , privacy and follow-up.

With some cervical / thoracic spine mobilization, they had me back to normal in a few weeks. I still use some of the at-home stretching to keep limber when I feel things tightening up again. Will definitely return with any future ailments.

Experiencia negativa: My experience at Gainesville physical therapy wasn’t so great, it got so bad that I would literally get anxiety when I went in for therapy. Tiffany would tape up my injuries & when asking where my injury was on my elbow that needed surgery she would poke it repeatedly while lol asking repeatedly “right here” as if my injury was a joke. After my elbow surgery my Doctor gave strict instructions on what I was allowed to do at therapy and what not to do & against Doctors orders only 3weeks out of surgery Emily decideds she’s going to straighten out my arm early, only a week after having one a cast for 2weeks & naturally my arm was swollen for a week afterwards and because I spoke up and asked her why would she do that against doctors orders she lied & said those were her orders but she couldn’t show me the orders because there weren’t any , needless to say when I went back for my next visit I was told I should’ve been contacted by worker’s compensation long story short they kicked me out of the program without any explanation, I was honest in rating the service as bad in my 2week reviews as well but things just continued to get worse. It has taken me a month to get back in with another therapist & all this only 3weeks out of surgery. I pray they get everything in life that they so richly deserve

When I first arrived there I could hardly walk and was in terrible pain and discomfort. In a short time they helped me past the pain, and soon afterwards I was walking around without assistance.
