She gave me clear instructions for doing my pt at home with easy to understand goals. She's very supportive and encouraging and patient with all of my questions.

Experiencia fantástica: I am an 87 year old male. For the last three years I have been working out at a local gym with a trainer. Because of this training I was able to recover from a fall and a broken femur quicker than if I had not been working out. The last part of my recovery has been with Baylor Scott and White Outpatient Rehabilitation-Garland-Firewheel. I have been very pleased with my trainer at that facility. My program is for 8 weeks and I feel that I will be able to complete my recovery by then.

Experiencia fantástica: I suffered a grade 3 Tibial Plateau Fracture in April 2022 which required ORIF surgery. This is the facility I chose to do my physical therapy in and I couldn't be happier with the results. I am an active individual with a background in athletics. John was my physical therapist and played a vital role on my return to sport. His professional approach and knowledge really gave me the confidence and trust throughout I needed to push myself and build the belief that is necessary to recover. I finished my last physical therapy session today, roughly 7 months after surgery and I will be slowly easing back into athletics here in the next few months. I have full range of motion back in the knee and my strength has returned to about 85%. John has helped me have reasonable expectations and gave me the tools I needed to continue gaining back everything that I lost when I broke the tibia. Every member of the staff at this facility I have encountered are exceptional people. This is wonderful environment to recover and rehabilitate, but know this, they can't do the work for you. They will guide you, but at the end of the day your outcome is in your hands. Go in with confidence and a determined mindset. The beautiful people at this facility will only further instill that belief and provide all that you will need on your journey. You can and will be whole again, you've just got to believe :)

Experiencia fantástica: I have had physical therapy here twice. Roberto the first time was so amazing. I had a neck injury and he was extremely gentle & never let me go to far. The 2nd time was for a pulled groin. I had wanted Roberto, but the appt. times I needed were with Justin. At first I thought he was younger and couldn't be as good as Roberto, but happily I was VERY wrong. He was extremely gentle and professional, explaining the exercises and the level of effort he wanted. He had to remind me to pull back because I was working too hard. When it comes to exercise, I NEVER work too hard on my own (the groin pull was from a pivot from the fridge to the island, lol). He was just amazing, and if/when I ever need rehab again, I will come here. All of the team will take good care of you and make sure you are comfortable.

He has Alzheimer's and is often not very accepting of requests to perform specific activities. Everyone at this facility has been very good to him. Roberto, especially, has been fantastic. Experiencia negativa: I went here after my knee surgery and the staff was awesome . I hadn’t meet my deductible so I asked how much it would be and she told me $182.00 a hour . I thought I can do that. I had paid everything I owed on each Friday . Then I received a bill ! WOW! What a shocker . Charged me $582.78 a hour ! All you ppl who go there must be really wealthy because I think this is out ragas !! I had 16 visits and total bill was $7843.01 ! All 16 visits were for 1 hour only and used same things and they charged me all different $ amounts . Doesn’t make any sense . Unless you are very wealthy I strongly advise to not go there . I would have never went there if I’d known it would be this high . SMH just doesn’t make any sense !

My therapist is Jana and she is wonderful to work with. She understands I am dealing with pain from surgery and she does not push me beyond what I can handle. I have seen other therapists working with other patients and can say they all are very pleasant people. So thankful my surgeon recommended them and I am happy to further that recommendation! :)

Experiencia fantástica: I have had excellent experiences at Baylor Rehab.. I came for about 5 months after fusion and herniated discs. I really improved no matter who I worked with each day. I was moving good and without the pain I came into the facility. I did exercises at home as well as there. I was able to climb stairs again with the practice exercises I did. In November of2018 I fell and my 73 year old back needed a lot of help. At Houston Methodist on Fannin St I was seen by four different Neurologists and many tests over 2 days. Those results went to a fantastic surgeon Dr Roeser who planned 2 consecutive days of surgery and made my back like new and 2 inches taller. I walked around the room the 2nd night after surgery so I would not stiffen up. Each day thereafter I walked 3 times a day with the walker and my husband and some pain meds, but far less than before surgery. I was only allowed to walk and simple leg and arm exercises till now. I can walk without the walker now and plan to walk nice distances on vacations and with my grandchildren. All the Therapists are full Physical Therapists trained like doctors over many years and rotations they are watched by other Doctors. These PT evaluate you thoroughly.They do not want you to do things causing pain.They are the best I have met over 10 years. . Each has your best interest and well being as their platform to work you to a better range of motion. You may have discomfort but it may take that to make progress and working at home. Skilled nursing facilities with rehab will never help you as much as Baylor on Lavon. They will let you lay in a bed and muscles atrophy and you probably will do nothing on weekends and be in PJs not real clothing. Please help yourself to get better with thses skilled therapists. It is not machines that make you better it is the therapist knowing how to get you to move comfortably and make progress.

The therapist listens to you and if you are having a rougher day than normal they will take it easier otherwise they push you to reach your goals and beyond.
