Experiencia fantástica: Had the opportunity to come in for a tour and was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility. The typical nursing home smell was not present. Staff was very friendly ; the nurse that gave the tour really made my sister and I comfortable.

Experiencia fantástica: My dad just got transferred there from The Park in Plano Assisted Living. Winters Parks is 100% better already. It’s smells good, it’s clean and when I came and checked on my dad. Someone was just sitting there watching him in a chair at his door. That’s made me feels so good because he’s a fall risk. They are nice and courteous. My 5 years old son thought it was a nice Hotel. So far so good!

Experiencia positiva: This is the 3rd of 4 facilities our family has had to utilize in the last couple of years and I can give you an honest/non-emotional opinion as enough time has passed. My dad was here 2/9/22-3/4/22. The facility itself is kept very clean and tidy (were in the 4 wing). Most of the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I would like to recognize Tes (at the end of our stay), Shawntae (sorry if spelled incorrectly), especially John as in-room help for Dad. Ken the dietitian always had a smile on his face and put out some good food (it's institutional, but eatable). Although there were issues with discharging and afterwards, once the brand new Hospital Administrator, who has been there maybe a week swooped in and got business handled. He gave me his cell phone number, got us the information we needed to continue caring for Dad and he assured me that the employees that had been less than helpful were either on their way out the door or being counseled, as the most important thing to him is the patients and the patients family's comfort. He called me numerous times with updates and a week after everything was completed just to make sure we didn't need anything else. I would feel comfortable with a loved one going to this facility again under this leadership.

Experiencia positiva: My mother-in-law is there and she is being treated well. There is a new administration that has taken over and we see improvements being made each visit. The staff are wonderful and kind. This is a direct reflection of there leadership from Jennifer Cheung Director of Business. We are very pleased with the services.

Experiencia fantástica: I haven't seen my mother in over a year due to COVID-19 and restrictions throughout Texas. Administration called me and said I can make an appointment to see her since places are virtually reopening. Ms. Ginger was truly amazing and emotional for both my mother and I. Tiffany was great as well. You could never pay me enough money to do what you and your staff do. Thank you because I wasn't sure if I would ever see her again.

Experiencia fantástica: We had a really good experience with Tiffany Hewlett, Admissions Director. She was very pleasant and helpful during the process of admitting my sister-in-law, Annie James, and getting her settled . We have called Tiffany many times with questions, and she has been very responsive and knowledgeable. We appreciate her sunny disposition and prompt attention to our needs. She has been a blessing during this confusing time.

Experiencia fantástica: Truly AMAZING help at this location, especially for the maintenance person there, Nathan, he helped fix any issues we had within the room. I would HIGHLY recommend this location now.

Experiencia fantástica: I was a volunteer at this facility and I would do that any day the way that the staff just welcome you and the patients are so nice no one from that place was rude to me I felt like I been there my whole life the facility was very clean and very well taken care of but my overall review was wonderful and I would love to go back any day .

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great place for therapy. Nurses Macaulay and Ram are great. Its was nice to see a familiar face, Antaria, who I know through the community. Therapy supervisor, Kacey, is great along with her team. They made therapy fun and interactive. I have reached my goals quicker than expected. I do recommend this place for therapy. Dietary had good alternatives to the menu when they served something I didn’t like.

Experiencia positiva: Dad seems content and well taken care of. He is always clean and well fed. His bed is always made with clean sheets. He likes his therapists and the administration team were extremely helpful and willing to answer any concerns we may have.

Experiencia fantástica: There is a sweet home-like environment in this place. The staff work together to provide the utmost care for patients. The food is very good and soup is served before the main course. Good place and good people.

Experiencia fantástica: The nurses were great and treated me with respect. McCauley was the best and gave me lots of tips for my diabetes. They were all sweet and kind. The PT staff was great and lots of fun.

Experiencia fantástica: I love Winters Park! The staff became like my Friends and Family! Everyone was very nice! Therapy pushed me and got me up and walking again! Loved the activity director and Social Worker! Food was great once staff learned what I liked. Housekeeping always kept my room clean.

Experiencia fantástica: Moved my brother there a couple months ago. He had improved so much! I love the aids and staff, they have an understanding way about them. My brother is calmer and his speech has improved.

Experiencia fantástica: As a Music Practioner,I have had the pleasure of attending Winters Park at least six times performing therapeutic music in the rooms of patients as well as in group gatherings. From what I've seen, the staff is excellent in caring for the patients. I haven"t heard any kind of jaded talk from any staff or caregiver. They have been even encouraging to me personally by comments about the effectiveness of my playing for the patients. I was in a rehab center similar to Winters Park myself as a patient for 3 months in 2016. I learned first hand about the workings of this kind of facility. I would recommend Winters Park to anyone who needs to be in a nursing or rehab center.

Experiencia positiva: I was in Wintergreen from 07/20/19 until 08/10/19 for occupational, physical therapy and pain management. I am feeling great from when I came in I was so weak. They helped get my pain manageable. The therapy staff were excellent Some of the staff made the stay a positive instead of hating being there. I want to recognize 2 nurses who went above and beyond made sure I was alright and in no pain their names is Macaulay and Tangie. Also want to recognize a CNA Tourche I called her super CNA all the residents seem to like her from what I’ve I seen and I know she was an angel to me and my mom. You can tell she cares about her patients and their family . I did have a complaint about the food but during my stay they inform me they had hired a new cook. It was a drastic change the food was good like from a chef Mrs Faye the Assistant Director of Nursing made sure I was comfortable and my mother The Social Worker Ann help me and my family and help me with referrals when I discharged I used to be a state worker and investigator and I have seen some Nursing facilities that had several problems and issues but my stay at Wintergeen was great. I would recommend this place to others. I like them so much I plan to volunteer when I finish my therapy at home and get ok from doctor

Experiencia fantástica: My brothers and I moved our mom to Winters Park on a Thursday morning. We had decided to try a shared room because we thought Mom would enjoy the company. After my brothers and sister-in-law spent that first evening in the room originally assigned, we realized that for our large family, a private room would be best. First thing the next morning, I talked to Betsy Wilkings, who is responsible for room assignments, asking her to move Mom to a single room. No problem. They set to work right away to find a room suitable for her. In the meantime, ever since we set foot in the room Mom was originally assigned to, we began getting to know the staff of nurses and aides on that hallway. Each one we saw welcomed us and offered to help us in any way they could. So, our experience on that hall, while brief, was pleasant and the staff was responsive and caring. The second room we were given was on a different hallway, so we once more set about getting to know each person we encountered on that hall. Once again they were welcoming and wanted to help in every way they could. We found them to be compassionate and caring. So, from late that Friday, till Mom's health unexpectedly began to fail during the first Monday afternoon, and continued to drop rapidly, Mom's needs were tended to responsively and caringly. One afternoon, I thanked the aide who had just changed the diaper Mom was wearing by that time, and she very genuinely assured me that it made her happy to take care of her patients, even in that aspect of caring. We were getting acquainted with the nurses and aides little by little, every time one came in Mom's room, and they were both friendly and responsive to our desire to know them not simply as caregivers, but on a personal level as well. Having brought Mom from a facility whose staff had become "family", we wanted to create that "atmosphere" in her new home. Early on, I began "adopting" each person who cared for her needs, and bestowing on them our family last name, because they were caring for our mom in the way we would have, had we been able to have her in one of our homes. They were all taken aback a bit, but upon "getting" our message, they each would thank us, and proudly bear our family name. So, if you should choose to make Winters Park your home, you will find a Mustapha "Collins", an Addis "Collins", and others, who began to feel the privilege of being part of our family as they were taking care of our mother. We even adopted a housekeeper or two. Most of them did not have the same color of skin as we do, but to us, they were family, as they were doing things for Mom that we could not do. There began to be a sense of warmth and connection as the days went by. They were very appreciative and and responsive to our appreciation. Well, we had been able to put Mom on hospice care while she was still at her Dayspring home. That first Monday afternoon and evening were very rough for Mom, physically and emotionally, so the hospice nurse came on Tuesday and Thursday to determine what was going on and to change medication "orders" as now needed. By late Thursday morning, she determined Mom was no longer able to swallow and was semi-comatose, so she said her worsening condition made her eligible for round-the-clock hospice nursing care right in her room. This obviously cut back substantially on the nursing staff's responsibilities related to Mom, but they would still come by to check on her and to see if there was anything they could do. Mom left her earthly home for her heavenly home on Saturday, August 25th. Her stay at Winters Park was much, much shorter than we had expected, but it was still long enough to allow us to see the caring, responsive staff there, and the dignity with which they treat each patient. One other important thing is that a new head of nursing came on staff about 4 months ago. He is a male nurse, who is very experienced in administration in his field, and he is working steadily at improving every aspect of the nursing care given at Winters Park.

Experiencia fantástica: Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is excellent. Some staff even go out of their way to check in on me. I get along with the other residents and have made friends here. I'm happy to have made the decision to stay here long term. Clean smelling place most of the time unless someone has an accident.

Experiencia positiva: I have read some of these reviews on here and I have to say my experience was different. My husband was here for a short stay, but we found the staff to be attentive to our needs. Yes, they are very busy and probably could use more staff but honestly, I don't think nurses and aides are breaking down nursing home doors to work there. Its a tiring job. Its a hard job. I will tell you our nurse Elvis and our aides Rose and Ali were some of the best. We wish we could have taken Rose home with us when the insurance decided to stop paying for my husband's stay. A note about that video as well, that was about 5 years ago and the facility was under prior ownership. YES, that was pretty horrible, I had questions as well but once here, we were very pleased with the care.
