Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been a patient with Total Body Rehab for a long while now and my case is different than most. I have a number of health issues and so my PT needs are very different than of someone who sustains an injury. JA, Kenzie, and Matt are beyond talented in what they do. They are friendly, kind, compassionate and really do care about each individual that comes to Total Body Rehab. Kenzie has worked a program to fit my medical needs and has been wonderful in keeping my basic function intact and the ability to make it through my daily tasks at home. I am an athlete that’s lost the ability to compete but Kenzie has been making sure that I still am able to do what I need to do and also do the things I love to do. I know that my level of function will never be what it was but without the wonderful staff at Total Body Rehab, I would not have the function I do today. Thank you ALL for all the encouragement to keep going no matter what my body is saying or doing! Jennifer & Adriana are always smiling and they engage with everyone who walks in the door! I couldn’t be happier with my long term PT providers and staff ❤️

They have a great trteament plan which involves not addicting us to coming in...instead they prepare us to take over our rehabilitation when we are not around them. Graves at Total Body Rehab from a very respected pro baseball PT, I setup an appointment to be seen for post-surgical rehab for a pec major tear. Walking into the office for the first time, I was immediately impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the front office staff! During the three months I spent in PT at Total Body Rehab, I never once had a single appointment or billing issue. They always made sure I had plenty of appointments setup and always greeted me with a big smile! J.A. was extremely knowledgeable with the post surgical rehab protocol. He was cautious, yet pushed me enough to ensure my return to full strength and mobility. He spent a considerable amount of time working on me and explained things thoroughly along the way. He made sure I left there with the knowledge I needed to perform in-home strength and mobility exercises between appointments. He even went above and beyond by working on my scar, ensuring that it would heal properly with minimal visibility. He's extremely knowledgeable, very good at explaining things, very friendly, and especially skilled at working with strength and conditioning athletes.

Experiencia fantástica: To start, I want to express my immense gratitude to J.A. For his dedication to finding a solution to my pain. Everyone at Total Body Rehab were fantastic through my treatments. I came in for pain in my left hip. I could barely lift my leg, and simple things like putting on my pants and shoes, or getting in and out of my car was a daily challenge. J.A. was awesome. He listened to me explain my pain, and showed a passion for figuring it out! His philosophy of having muscle balance was the magic I needed. He pushed me to complete exercises I struggled with, and each week, I felt myself get stronger and can happily say I have full range of motion again. Thanks to J.A. And the team!!

I found Total Body Rehab through a friend who has been there in the past. As I went through my first appointment with J.A. Graves, I began to see his patience and dedication with my long recovery. Experiencia fantástica: Adhesive encapsulitis or 'frozen shoulder'. SOOOOO not fun to deal with! The interesting part of the diagnosis is that J.A. at Mesa Total Body Rehab diagnosed it long before the Orthopedic specialist did! The simple reasons for this are that 1) he took the time to listen to the symptoms I was describing (huge in healthcare today), and 2) He has an extensive knowledge base coupled with a wide array of experience. This, however wouldn't be enough for me to keep coming back as I am a healthcare professional myself. What keeps me returning overall is that I feel I am treated like a unique individual versus just another number. From the receptionist to J.A., Matt, and the fellow PT students he mentors: kudos to you for treating the whole human condition and not just our 'parts'!

Experiencia fantástica: My Daughter was seeing JA twice a week for a few months post fracturing her upper arm with angulation and moderate range of motion limitation. He was fantastic. She enjoyed going as he was professional but very friendly. Her arm had vast improvement and I would both use him again for future injuries as well as recommend to anyone needing physical therapy. His partner Matt was also very friendly every time we were in to see JA, even though we never worked with him directly. Overall a very nice and welcoming atmosphere where each patient is an individual and not just a number.

Experiencia fantástica: Trying to find the best physical therapist in the east valley? Search no longer! After tons of research and sifting through referrals from friends/family and social media, I decided to see Dr. JA Graves with Total Body Rehab for a chronic ACL issue. I came into his office unable to jump, hike, run or pivot without pain. After 8 weeks of his movement-based approach, I was able to do all of those things again, pain free. His approach is to look at the body as a whole, versus in parts. During his initial evaluation, he was able to identify some movement control and stability issues in the areas surrounding my knee, and even my upper/mid back, and started me on exercise right away. In my previous experiences with other PTs, 70% of the treatment is the “fluffy” part (massage, dry needling, cupping etc. etc.), and only 30% is the movement component. Although we did a little astym massage during my time there, and the fluffy stuff can be beneficial to the healing process, I benefitted WAY more from a movement-based approach. Being a personal trainer, my job demands more than just basic function. I need to be able to move at my best 24/7. I’d also like to highlight that Dr. JA Graves is a leader in his relm, presenting at conferences for accredited entities like the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He’s a subject-matter expert, too, taking on interns regularly to educate the soon-to-be doctors of physical therapy. You’ll love Dr. JA Graves and his team’s ideal combination of friendliness, and professionalism. Scheduling appointments was easy as they have two locations in Gilbert and Mesa. I HIGHLY recommend Total Body Rehab for all your physical and occupational therapy needs, 110%.

Experiencia fantástica: I came in to see JA with some shoulder pain related to my exercise program. As someone who very much enjoys fitness and weightlifting, I expressed to JA how I wanted to continue making progress in my weightlifting program while also addressing my pain and mobility issues. I basically didn't want to have to stop lifting (and thus lose my gainz) in order to rehab my shoulder. JA was amazing with this. Instead of giving me a generic rehab protocol, he personalized my treatment to work towards my specific needs and goals. My shoulder is feeling a ton better now, and he even addressed some of my other mobility and pain issues in other parts of my body along the way. JA treated my whole person and taught me things that I can do on my own to keep my body moving well even after my treatment at Total Body Rehab is done. I highly recommend Total Body Rehab to anyone who is looking for a PT. JA is extremely personable and professional and will provide you with the highest quality care possible.

I had seen other doctors, but my recovery did not really start until I started working with Matt. Matt was extremely thorough in assessing my injuries and implementing a treatment plan that focuses on healing through movement. I would highly recommend anyone who needs physical therapy or hand therapy to stop by and see Matt and JA! You will not be disappointed!

After trying various local therapists for an ongoing shoulder injury, I was fortunate enough to find Dr. J.A Graves. His knowledge and passion for physical therapy is apparent. At this office, I feel my concerns are being validated. I feel like a person being cared for vs just another number. This guy is determined to get his patients back to their optimal level of health & will keep you laughing all the while. During my time as a patient, I’ve observed him with patients of all ages ... I had been seen previously at another PT office and was left with a lingering arm injury that was never fully resolved. I finally decided to try another office and I am very happy that I went to Total Body. J.A. did a great job of looking beyond just the arm to see how my shoulder and neck were also influencing what was going on. He then saw me for a foot injury and went out of his way to try to help me figure out the problem I was having. In addition, I also brought my 11 year old daughter to see J.A. and he was great with her! All of the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Always personal attention from the therapist. Experiencia fantástica: I’m leaving this review for the Baseline Location. We love the service we get there. The friendly and professional environment they have make going to therapy a joy instead of a hassle. We are seeing big improvements with my daughter who broke her thumb and needed surgery. If you’re looking for therapy look no further, you won’t regret it!
