Experiencia fantástica: My mom was there at Encompass Health Rehabilitation in Arlington TX. For 28 days I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms, no urine smell, and the most important was their therapists that worked with her 3 hours aday 15 hours a week. And I truly see a big improvement in her mobility, I am so grateful for the entire team for taking excellent care of my mother..

While there, I experienced a professional caring staff that worked with me toward reaching my goals. For anyone who must do inpatient therapy, I highly recommend Encompass as the best place to go.

Experiencia fantástica: This rehab is very professional and outstanding! We have used many in past and by far this is the best. The Ambassador, Susan is so friendly and always made a point to brighten my moms day. Roselyn, the caseworker, worked hard to make sure all was in order and transitions went smoothly. The nurses are hands on, quick to respond and friendly. Cenise is such a caring nurse. The techs treated my mom with dignity and were professional. Kim always had a smile on her face and was willing to go above and beyond. The PT and OT was taken very serious and she made good progress. Levi was so kind and patient. The food was good and Maria keep the room clean and sanitized. The thing we liked the most about Encompass is that all workers seemed to like their job, cared for their patients and worked like a family.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband was here for two weeks after having shoulder surgery, he’s a bilateral amputee and needed to learn new ways to do life with one arm. We both found the staff very kind, from reception to the dietary aid. Highly recommend this place for rehab. Drs came by daily and truly were attentive to any problems or concerns.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to Encompass after my total hip replacement to get intensive physical therapy to jump start my recovery. I was there for 7 days and received excellent care from the therapists and nursing teams. They were all very kind and professional. The facility and equipment were very clean. As we all know,the food in hospitals won't win any a awards, bit they did a good job. Kudos to the leadership team for a very well run and efficient operation and for creating a very positive culture.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely love Encompass Arlington. Truly the BEST inpatient Rehab hospital ever.

Experiencia negativa: I was sent there after hospital surgery and it was a hassle just getting everything set up. They wouldn’t take me until my IV meds were there first. But when I got there they didn’t hook me up to my IV. The next day they had me doing toe tap exercises with a group instead of evaluating me for my needs. Then my ileostomy bag burst while I’m in a wheelchair in my room. Three staff members ran to get towels and left me sitting in my waste for 15 minutes. No one thought to roll me away and my leg and foot were in soggy puddles. Since they didn’t hook me up to the IV and left me sitting in my waste for so long I knew I had to get out of there. I left AMA. The doctor didn’t offer to continue my meds and days later called to see if he could continue them. It appears they have a system set up like a machine. They should be more personalized with each patient.

Experiencia fantástica: I am so glad I came to this facility to recover and gain some of my strength back. The staff is caring and supportive, makes sure everyone is where they are supposed to be. The whole physical therapy dept is the best and they make sure you will be safe using your walker, wheelchair or motorized wheelchair and other aids. The nursing staff try their very best to keep everyone comfortable and keep pain to a minimum. The food is very good and you can get other things that are not on the menu.

Experiencia negativa: The first month or so was great but as time went on the nurses seem to forget their jobs(?), the would ask us for what to do or where she needed to go even when we told them many times before hand. They ignore many requests as to NOT pull on my grandma's arm as she has a messed up rotorie cup in her shoulder. Yet they continued with their actions, not even having a count down or anything.

Experiencia fantástica: Thank you to Jose for doing the research to get me into encompass, and thank you to Juan Martinez for going through all the effort just to get me to the best rehabilitation hospital in Arlington. If it wasn’t for those two gentlemen, I would have been in a SNF where Harris downtown hospital put me in when they knew I should have never been there in the first place. I was able to regain most of my balance, and make way more progress at encompass that I thought I would have. The team of therapists were amazing when it came to working in group therapy and one on one therapy and accelerating the healing process with getting my strength back and being able to walk again. The nurses and other staff were amazing and if I had to God forbid, end up back in rehab, I would choose and encompass. Thank you again Jose for taking the first steps and going out of your way, and doing the research to get me into a suitable rehab hospital, thank you again to Juan Martinez for going the extra mile and working with me so patiently.

Experiencia fantástica: My stay at Encompass health was top-notch!! The people there were amazing. I was in terrible pain and we didn't find out until later that I had a compound fractured rib and punctured lung. But they were so encouraging, working with my entire medical team of speakers. From the Dr's to the Physical therapists, to patient care tech, nurses, and even the custodian and meal prep was top-notch! I wanted to return after my spinal surfing, but there wasn't room so I was sent to another rehabilitation place. They didn't even come close to the level of care I received at Encompass! As you leave your last PT session, you "ring the bell" and everyone applauded. It's a wonderful place. I pray I never need it again, but if I do or my loved ones have a need, Encompass is the place to be!! Thank you for everything you did to help me during that difficult time!!

Experiencia negativa: This whole place is funky from the location all the way to the staff! They are like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off running around not knowing what they're doing nor can they keep their word with what they say!

Experiencia positiva: Extremely pleased with the care and rehab my Dad received at Encompass. Things were only challenging at first (during our first stay) aligning receiving pain meds in time for physical therapy, but once that finally got straightened out we made phenomenal progress. Everyone involved in his physical care were great and that sometimes is hard to find. I would’ve given 5 stars but I am dissatisfied with case management. There have been errors in ordering our wheelchair for home use. While Dad was there, our case manager was on the ball in attempting to resolve the order problem. But now that he’s discharged, I have not been able to get in contact with our case manager nor have requests for callback been received. It feels like now that he’s out, “goodbye and good luck”. I left voicemail this morning requesting a call back from ‘anyone’ (no one seems to answer phones in case management); perhaps assigning a different case manager. Still no call back. So here we are… 9 days after discharge and still no corrected order to the medical supplier. >>update: within 24hrs of this review, I was contacted by a representative of Encompass who is currently spearheading resolvement of the issue. >>> issue was resolved. Thank you!

Experiencia negativa: This rehabilitation facility fell short in numerous aspects. The staff appeared ill-prepared and indifferent to my husband's well-being. The night staff's frequent absence posed serious concerns. Unless one is fully independent, this facility may not suffice. Shockingly, my husband's blood sugar plummeted dangerously low, and despite my pleas, the staff showed little urgency in addressing the issue. Their lack of preparedness for such emergencies was evident, with no provisions available after hours. Tragically, my husband's condition deteriorated to the point where he was discovered unresponsive early one morning after only three days at this facility and was taken to the hospital, where he pronounced dead.

My bother was there for two weeks and the quality of therapy he received was SUPERB!!!!! Special thanks to Pamela Johnson, PT/OT Seema, Lorrie and Gina for taking such good care of him. Words can not explain the gratitude I have for you!!!!!!

He had a brain aneurysm that left him unable to take care of himself. Because of your wonderful nursing staff, at 91 he is still with us today and able to take care of himself again. Thank you so much! I highly recommend the Nursing Department Staff!

Experiencia fantástica: I love this rehab hospital! My mother broke her femur and they had her up and able to go home in 2 weeks! The staff was very professional and warm. My mother was welcomed and taken care of like family. She never felt scared and was always encouraged. The staff also helped with obtaining medical equipment and out Patiño rehab, transport to doctors appoints and oh so much more. It was a Godsend to me and my mother.

Experiencia negativa: On May 17, 2023, my mother had surgery on her broken right elbow then was immediately transferred to Encompass. The staff really let her down by failing to help rehab that elbow because they said she was experiencing pain with the movements. Two weeks later, during in the family conference about her progress, Mom claimed she was better and physically able to move back home. Shocked and disbelieving, I asked the PT if this was true—and she said “yes”. Both were lying! I get it—my mother just wanted to go home. But why would the PT back-up that lie? Ultimately, Mom was home only one night before I had her transferred to another rehab facility that really improved her elbow. Based on this experience, I do not recommend Encompass. Their one job was to help Mom push through the pain and they failed her.

Experiencia fantástica: I was in HealthSouth after my hip replacement surgery 4 weeks ago. I stayed here for 9 days and was very happy with the facility, the nurses, the administration, the doctors and the therapists. They were all dedicated to getting me back on my feet. I had a total of 3 one hour physical therapy sessions a day. These were customized to what I needed. Everyone at this facility was professional and kind. I highly recommend this facility and will go back when I have my knee replaced next year. Thank you HealthSouth.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband came to Healthsouth because of a stroke. The care that he received was exceptional! This facility is top notch. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and nicely furnished. All of the staff, from the Case Manager down to the receptionist, are very friendly and pleasant. My husband received the very best therapy in all areas, physical, speech and occupational. The therapists are very knowledgeable and really know what they are doing. Also, the therapy rooms have state-of-the-art equipment. Not only was the therapy excellent, but the food was great!! When walking down the hall, close to meal time, wonderful aromas fill the air and, according to my husband, tasted great! So, this facility treats the patient's physical as well as nutritional needs. I would recommend Healthsouth to everyone who needs to be in a rehabilitation hospital.

Experiencia negativa: My 19 year old son is currently a patient here. He has been here only 4 days he was moved here after a 21 day stay at medical center Arlington after being in a rollover car accident that left him paralyzed and killed his older brother. Since being here his condition has worsen. The facility isn't as clean as it should be the halls smell of urine there is blood stains on the floor of his room. There are so many things wrong with this place. My son begs me everyday to get him out of this place. This is so unacceptable.

Experiencia negativa: I was recently a patient there after a back surgery but because I complained about my case worker (Rose) not returning emails or phone calls Ty (CEO)refused me staying there for extra therapy because in his words I had a bad time there. So if my daughter wants to see me she would have to drive to SW Ft. Worth location when we live in Arlington 5 miles from Arlington thank you Ty for the inconvenience.

Experiencia negativa: The facility is great. But the case workers are not very helpful. My loved one was offered a place to go Blissfully Homes what a scam. All residents want to leave there. Why would you offer such a place to an elderly person. Lisa Newsom does not want to help with resources. As she promised my loved one. I know some people help a lot more than others but Jesus do better.

Experiencia fantástica: I am so happy a friend referred us to Encompass!! We came here after my 86 year old mother broke her hip and had surgery. From the start to beyond discharge everything was very professional, clean, and the staff was great! The rehab facility is extremely well equipped. My mom got to know her therapists and she felt very comfortable doing her exercises. I was concerned that she wouldn't be able to complete 3 hours of therapy daily, but it included teaching self-care along with physical therapy and they did everything at her pace and encouraged her. I was shocked that she actually completed close to 4 hours on some days. After 2 weeks, she has made tremendous progress. Her goal is to regain her independence and she is well on her way due to the wonderful care at Encompass. We were very pleased.

My mother left there stronger than she has been in years. Thank you Lisa in admissions for all your help and to Luci and Tina for being such sweethearts with my mom, and to the many other staff and therapist that did such an amazing job. This was the CLEANEST hospital I have ever been to.

Experiencia negativa: I had a family member with a difficult injury to help heal. This family member was also a "Special Needs" patient. It was going to be a difficult several weeks at best. In this instance, I felt as if the staff did not fully comprehend the significance of the situation. The following morning I had a personal meting with Ty Taplin, the CEO and Brittany one of his trusted RN's in charge. They could not have been more accommodating nor shown more interest in my concerns. Anytime I had a request, concern, a need to know or just some moral support, they never failed us. I have had enough medical experiences to know the difference in medical competency. They have all of the bases covered and have been quick to furnish any help or perceived need promptly and in a courteous manner. I SPOKE TO THE POSITIVE WAY TOO SOON! EVERYTHING THAT I SAID ABOVE WAS TRUE AND DESERVED A FIVE STAR RATING. WE WERE SENT TO ENCOMPASS FROM BAYLOR SCOTT AND WHITE OR AT LEAST THAT WAS WHERE MY FAMILY MEMBER WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A TAILBONE (COCCYX) INJURY. THIS IS A VERY PAINFUL INJURY WHICH MUST HEAL ON ITS OWN. THE FAMILY MEMBER WAS SET UP WITH OT AND PT, ETC BUT NO PAIN MANAGEMENT THERAPY POST ENCOMPASS. THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SOME CO-ORDINATION BETWEEN BAYLOR SCOTT AND WHITE AND OR ARLINGTON ORTHOPEDIC. AFTER ALL, BEING MERE MORTALS AND NOT PHYSICIANS, ONE WOULD EXPECT IMMEDIATE PAIN MANAGEMENT FACILITATION. A PATIENT SHOULD NOT HAVE TO THINK PAST REHAB FOR PAIN MANAGEMENT. THE FAMILY MEMBER WAS SENT HOME WITH THIRTY 5/325 HYDROCODONE, A SUPPOSED TEN DAY SUPPLY. THERE WAS A PLAN FOR PT AND OT BUT NO PAIN MANAGEMENT. I AM NOW HAVING TO FIGHT TO GET IMMEDIATE AND SPECIAL CONSIDERATION FOR MY FAMILY MEMBER'S RELIEF. THERE ARE A FEW PILLS LEFT AND WE CAN'T WRITE SCRIPT!!!

Experiencia negativa: The nursing staff the texts and the therapists were wonderful at this location location but the building itself the air conditioning was horrible it Did not work in my wife's room The administrators Mr. Taplin and Veronica Walker were horrible rude and insensitive If not for this this facility would get 5 stars The administrators at this location could use some training And people skills no understanding of the stress of having a love in a near death situation and not caring for the family's feelings at all

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot express how much the staff at Encompass Rehab of Arlington has blessed our family. My Grandpa has been there about 2 weeks, and he and my Grandma we're approaching their 70th Wedding Anniversary, which they would be spending apart. I called to ask if we could do a little something to celebrate them. I talked to Mr. Ty Taplin, the CEO, and he jumped at the chance to honor my grandparents. It was his idea to do a little family parade, so I got some decorations together, and when we arrived, he, along with several friendly helpers, were carrying chairs, tables, and flower arrangements out. They got a bundt cake, and sparkling cider on ice, complete with fancy glasses! They even directed traffic in the rain! It was amazing, and such a treat for the family to get to see Grandpa, after this time of Covid, most of us hadn't laid eyes on him for over a month! Thank you, Ty, for being so sweet to us!!! We will never forget this day! All of that, and I didn't even mention yet how Grandpa has been so well taken care of. We have been so grateful for the attention they have given him on a daily basis. He has been very pleased with his care. Thank you all!!! You are the best!!

Let’s me tell you how amazing and patience these people are here my grandma came for 3 weeks and they took care of her with all of their love and patience, they cared for my grandma like their family. Experiencia negativa: Everytime I call, the receptionist lady is always very rude. Came in once and she was rude. When I call to be transferred to someone they are rude. If whoever I was being transferred to doesn't answer, the receptionists will answer and say "They are not answering" and immediately hangs up on me. She does this every time. She is very unprofessional and has no hospitality for people coming in and calling.

Experiencia fantástica: When my mom came to Encompass, she could barely move any of her limbs. After the therapists worked with her, her muscles loosened tremendously. When she left the facility, she could walk with a walker about 10 feet and able to shower practically by herself. The staff is attentive also. Thanks Encompass for your hard work and all that you do for others!!!!!

Experiencia negativa: Its hard to explain how I was treated, or not treated. I was transferred from Mansfield Methodist to this facility. Taken past receptionist and into a room and quickly seen by a nurse. Her main concern was to watch me take a shower. (I do realize that this is an occupational therapy diagnosis tool). However, this was in the first 5 minutes of arriving. The nurse never used my name or greeted me in any fashion. My anxiety was growing by the minute. Thankfully my daughters arrived. They ask the nurse if maybe she could show me around and that would help with my anxiety of being there. I have never been in a faster wheelchair ride. She rolled her eyes and told other nurses and techs that she was taking me on the grand tour. My daughters witnessed this twice and they decided that it was not in my best interest to stay. I was extremely disappointed. I was looking forward to several weeks of rehabilitation after my 8 day hospital stay. I find it sad that the actions of one person can cause another person so much anxiety. Maybe more training is needed for admissions on the weekend .

Experiencia negativa: I was highly disappointed in this facility. My mom was only there for a couple of hours. No one came to greet us upon arrival. When the nurse did finally come In there, he wanted to remove her compression sleeves that were connected to her Breg Vpulse machine. Per doctor’s orders, she is supposed to have this machine on her at all times. My mom was so upset with the nurses’ lack of knowledge of how to care for someone recovering from a total knee replacement. My mom started having severe anxiety and at that point I decided I couldn’t leave her there. It’s so sad that the nurses lack that type of knowledge. It also took someone a really long time to bring her some water after she asked for it. She was also told she would not receive dinner that evening because she was transported there after the kitchen was closed

Experiencia fantástica: Definitely a 5 star. I’m 36 and just had surgery, I’ve been here for 3 days and so far everyone has been a pleasure. When you’re in extreme pain they are compassionate about it. The PT’s are very helpful, if you’re in too much pain they won’t push you very hard they just want to see what you can do and if you can’t do then you can’t. They will bring you drinks and blankets and pillows during therapy, whatever makes you the most comfortable during your stay here. The nurses have also been extremely pleasant and compassionate, sympathetic. If you ask for something for pain they get right on it, hit your call button they come right in and just a simple snack or drink they are more than willing to accommodate you for your stay. I’m in eyes this is a thumbs way up for this facility!

Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic facility. I have had 2 clients that were patients of Encompass Nursing/Rehab. Both Social Workers Barry and Veronica have been very thorough, professional and caring. The nursing and rehab were terrific.

Experiencia positiva: I selected this facility, because my youngest son was in a terrible motorcycle accident. There was hardly a day that I would visit him, and they wouldn't all call me by my name. They sent my son home to me a couple of weeks later with a positive attitude and the determination to go further. Well, low and behold, I became sick, and the only choice for me was Encompass. From the administrators, doctors, nurses, techs, housekeeping and the cooks...EVERYONE is so respectful and nice...some even have great senses of humor. The facility is clean, no bad smells...and the food is pretty good too!! A couple of times I say Im still hungry, and someone would come with another tray. Lots of one-on-one with different employees in different positions. It's easy to get to know the staff and the patients...some who have no visitors...but I've noticed the staff embrace them as their own! My son will return in a couple of days for them to teach him how to walk...and we wouldn't have it any other way! You can't make everyone happy...but they do an awesome job trying! Again...thank you, from me and my family for making me feel welcome and taking good care of us!

Experiencia positiva: This Hospital has been the greatest provider of rehab I ever experienced in all my days as needed. From the person who gave me transport here to the person who emptied my trash can to making my bed and everyone in between this has been the most pleasant experience I've known. I would not hesitate in referring this facility to anyone. Is great this day and age of being treated as a human and not a number. Unfortunately a Nurse Technical named Yolinda did all she could to make a perfect experience in to one being desired. She was rude, bossy, and just down right non- caring. She was totally argumentive. I've decided there is much better offered here than her bad attitude. I think some positive outlook classes would be helpful for her.

Experiencia negativa: The nurses there don't care about the patients they sworn to take care of when they became nurses. It is sad that patients get mistreated because they are to damn lazy to do there job. They refuse to listen to their patients or attend to them when they are called upon by those who because of their physical injuries, strokes, broken bones etc those nurses are able to feed their families or pay their bills etc. Some of these patients are older people that can't defend or have someone to defend them. They leave patients suffering in pain because according to them they are too busy. I have a question why did they become nurses or better yet why are they still nurses? These kind of injustices scare me about getting old. I think one star is too much but I had to pick a star. Anyway hopefully this is read and they straighten that place up.

Experiencia negativa: Bad experience ,staff are always late, took my mom to restroom and was left alone and unattended, don’t do what there supposed too, lots of neglect and abandonment wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone”!!!

Experiencia fantástica: My mom was admitted to Health South and I was very hesitant because I've never seen a rehab place that was up to my standards as far as care goes . However, I can not believe how nice and courteous and caring EVERY employee has been. From the minute we entered the door I have been in awe of how they run things so smoothly and thoroughly. I have not once worried about her care or safety. And the people that work there are so kind and funny that it's made it kind of fun for her. Amanda in rehab is fantastic. And the Chaplain even stopped by to get our opinion and to pray with us! I wish I could thank each person by name but I can't. I just can't say enough good things about our experience with Health South. I've been shocked ! Thank you !

Experiencia negativa: Please be very careful when leaving your loved one in this facility. This place is has no Director and the staff is under no real authority. Jasmine/Jaz isn't really authorized or qualified to fulfill the obligatory duties of CEO but the phone operator's will quickly forward you to her voicemail. Both Veronica and her Supervisor are very unprofessional and truly uninvolved as Social Workers. They're more concerned with pushing paperwork toward the patients. Not once did either of them take the initiative to organize or assist with the needs of my family member who was having a crisis. Anytime they contacted me or other family it was after hours 5p.m. and usually after a series of phone tag. Veronica most definitely is a uninvolved social worker that would rather not be bothered. When Veronica did speak to (my family) the patient it was briefly and then she would leave immediately and was extremely difficult to contact Not because she was hard working but because she truly doesn't want to be bothered with anything other than capturing the signature of patients. Never once did she ever Honestly establish a open line of communication. Even now my family is still recovering from a Stroke and has many unanswered questions that still haven't been addressed by the Social Worker. Senior citizens/ patients have rights and social workers in the med field are obligated to uphold those rights.... Hospital Social workers by definition play a critical role in hospital / rehabilitation settings by helping patients and families address the impact of illness and treatment. Social workers, as part of the health care team, provide assessment and appropriate interventions to aid the patient in achieving optimum recovery/rehabilitation and quality of life. At one point my family contracted a UTI from the catheter and became extremely ill. The Nurse on duty called me to ask if I would give them permission to let them strap down my family. No Way!!! No How!!! Not Ever!!! This health system has their own quality control center that handles complaints and do their own investigations on employees....who in their right mind would ever trust that?!!! If staff concentrated more on the patient care plan and put less emphasis on the variety of food offered on the menu maybe the patients would become better rehabilitated.

Experiencia negativa: Superior Physical and Ocupational techs. They go above and beyond to meet your needs. Hospital staff have a severe attitude problem. Calls are not answered in a timely manner. Requests are forgotten, pushed to next staff change to answer. They have no common sense, or problem solving skills. Incorrect bed was supplied for me, causing me greater pain plus putting me and the staff in fall danger. I finally got the correct bed after a lot of unnecessary EXTRA pain. They were not able to coordinate transportation to Dr. Appointment. Appt. had to be rescheduled days latter. Food was good, good variety to choose from menu. Hopefully, they will get staff who love there job, and enjoy meeting your needs and who are not 'inconvenienced" by your requests. When you are in pain, you are not at you best. You don't need vengeful staff taking care of you.

Experiencia negativa: I am HIGHLY disappointed in this rehab. My mother has been here for about 2 weeks and there has been nothing but negligence in regards to my mothers care. There has been 2 occasions that I have come to visit her and her blood sugar has been dangerously low (left unattended 48 & 15) and the last time this occurred, she has had to be placed in ICU across the street at Medical City Arlington; same has been going on with her blood pressure. There have been numerous times where she has tried to get some assistance and that has been a fail. I'm so upset, I just don't understand how this rehab takes care of their patients. I will be contacting supervisors and other powers that be. If I could just leave the stars blank, I would. I feel like they are not taking my mothers care seriously.

Experiencia fantástica: My sister came to Health South from Medical City of Fort Worth. My family stayed here 24 hours with my sister because of her stoke and need a lot of help from family as well. As I can see the care that she received was exceptional, as well as the staff facility is very helpful, friendly, and concerned. Speech therapy, physical therapy, and nurses are all the best. Room is clean. Food is good and changed everyday. Yes, I would recommend to everyone who needs to be in a rehabilitation hospital.
