I found my experience with Tamara to be very helpful to not only address current symptoms, but to set the groundwork for building a better foundation for prevention. My care was not only knowledgeable, but compassionate. Tamara also was able to confirm some questions and concerns about the way my body specifically moves and reacts, which was very affirming on my current health journey. During a recent flare up, I was able to use my exercises to stop it from escalating. So glad I came here, and feel confident they’ll be there for me if I find myself back in another acute situation.

They also had a lot of flexible scheduling options so I could work around my own work schedule. I felt like they gave me an appropriate number of exercises to work on at home without overwhelming me. And I really felt like the dry needling helped with pain management, especially the first couple sessions.

Yes, I am still healing, but with much less severity of pain. They are all friendly and encouraging as you progress through your treatment. If I ever need physical therapy again, I am limping or crawling into this clinic.

The office is small (in a good, cozy way!) and the team is warm and friendly -- they make the space feel comfortable, relaxed, and familiar. They are flexible with scheduling and the location is easy to get to. Alyssa has done a great job helping me manage my injury -- she answers my questions, explains what she's doing during treatment, and has given me lots of great things to work on at home. I've gotten relief from pain and I'm moving more strongly and confidently!

Learning to recognize what muscles I’m using has helped me have less muscle tension and better overall balanced strength. Which I’m sure will continue to improve using what I have learned. I felt she took the time and gave me more thorough care than even my doctor after having multiple challenges post cesarian surgery. She is highly intelligent and has used various methods to assist with pain management and get me back to normal and enjoying life! She is easy to talk to and has positive energy and her passion for the work is undeniable. She also is trauma informed and made accommodations to my request to have more private care due to the nature of the care. She took it seriously and was always very mindful of my concerns moving forward and assuring I felt safe and comfortable. She goes above and beyond to explain everything she does and asks for consent through every step of the way as well which was all crucial for me. All the staff at this location go the extra mile to make me feel welcome and taken care of. I would recommend Haley to anyone and especially women with a history of trauma.

Alyssa Urhammer provided treatment and “homework” that yielded complete recovery of function and relief from pain in a matter of weeks. Highly recommend. My first choice in PT from now on. The entire staff of PTs, techs and office management make for a clean, comfortable, friendly, well equipped and efficient operation.

Haley also helped my young daughter immensely with PT on her ankle after she had broken it. We had seen several different doctors for pain once the break healed, but the doctors and their PT department didn’t believe her that it was still hurting.. so much so, that my daughter would limp/avoid stairs/request to use crutches :( Hailey knew EXACTLY where to pin point the PT care for her pain and it went away within two weeks of PT!! I was on a timeline and needed to work through it before I could proceed with radiation! She and her team are absolutely incredible! My first surgery I went to a Spectrum PT, and did not receive the treatment I needed (I developed thick scar tissue from the lack of movement). I had to get a second surgery because of this, and decided to go to Hulst Jepsen instead... THE DIFFERENCE WAS IMMEDIATE. From day 1 they treated me professionally and with care and respect. They are invested in me and my wellbeing. It really feels like they will try everything in their power to make me better. You will not regret choosing to come here. Tamara is great! :)

The staff are all knowledgeable and friendly, but the lead therapist, Tamara Kas, always has her eye on every patient and keeps you on track - often explaining how a slight motion change can improve your efforts. I saw real improvements in myself and pretty quickly. Not like other P.T. places I have been in past years. Better.

I was uncertain it would be helpful and scared it would be so uncomfortable after what my body just went through. Haley was thorough during her assessments, explained each piece of the plan, was careful easing me into therapy, and helped me learn how to assist with the healing at home as well. She was so personable and professional, along with the rest of the staff. GR is lucky to have her in the city! I would plan to go back to her during and after a future pregnancy.

Experiencia negativa: Cons: They do not require masks, which I find disturbing considering this is a medical facility that specifically works with folks with disabilities, and elderly (among others). Both are considered high risk for covid complications. Practitioners still come to work when they are sick, my therapist was obviously recovering from a cold when I was there most recently. The student who aids in exercises was not properly trained on professional conversation and began sharing his political views with me. I found this to be off putting. Some of the manual therapies are delivered in the open gym, and if other pts. are there it can feel a bit uncomfortable. There was once a gentleman, shirtless, receiving cupping out in the open with other pts around to see. I thought that was kind of strange. Pros: Everyone is very kind. I believe the practitioners actually listen to the patients rather than seeing everyone as a diagnosis. They can deliver a variety of modalities to help toward recovery. They take appointments as early as 7a, which works great for fitting in appointments before work. The facility seems to be clean and well maintained.

She worked on strengthening my hips, ankles and forming core balance, which took pressure (and pain) away from the knees. She provided me with exercises that I continue to incorporate into my daily training, and almost a year later, I'm still feeling pain free! I use exercise; running, walking, spin, and yoga, to stay healthy. It is important to me that I am able to continue the activities that I enjoy without pain and if possible, medication. Tamara helped me assess where I might be causing my own wear and tear. She taught me exercises, stretching and strength training to help me stay healthy and able to do what I love. Tamara has the talent to help vertigo & neck / shoulder issue patients. I personally had these issues & am back to normal activities after her treatment. I am now over a year out from hip surgery to repair a torn labrum (hip), with GREAT results which I attribute to the rehab and 'pre-hab' physical therapy I received from Tamara at Hulst Jepsen. Months BEFORE my surgery she worked with me to improve my hip strength & flexibility, which I believe helped shorten the duration of my recovery afterward. Happy to report with her help I was able to return to a full active lifestyle within a few months after the surgery: hiking, biking, weight lifting, yoga. No restrictions! I highly recommend Tamara at Hulst Jepsen. Go see her even BEFORE a planned surgery. Knows her stuff, great attitude, pleasure to work with. Two thumbs up!
