Experiencia fantástica: The place is consistently spotless and buzzing with activity of people of all ages and places. The pool is generous and is usually a good temperature for duration swimmers—not too cold, not too hot. The equipment room, according to my son who is a competitive weight lifter, says ‘they may not have as much equipment as weight lifting facilities, but they have all the right stuff’. Although I have no experience or second hand knowledge of the classes offered, I do know they are always thriving and well attended. It is a warm, inviting place with energizing appeal. A beautiful facility really.

However, the YMCA is slow to repair broken cardio machines and weight training equipment. They have been without the Ab Roller for 6 months. I guess someone borrowed it. Now I bring my own.

Why join other facilities when and if your retired you can go for free with Silver Sneakers through your insurance. Save your funds even if you have to pay. My kids come home exhausted and can't wait to go the next day. Love that they have the opportunity to swim once a week and go on field trips.

Experiencia fantástica: The front people and the gym people are Very nice, welcoming and helpful. This facility is clean and many machines to use when I go in the mornings or afternoons. When I get stronger I am going to sign up for Silver Snealers and then I'll have to comment on that. I would go swimming or take classes, but don't want to use Chlorine so hoping one day they'll do salt water. Haven't been at night so can't comment on gym at that time.

Experiencia positiva: I atrend classes 5 days a wk. I'm made to feel comfortable getting involved in the classes and the instructors will show alternative moves/low impact. Every class is welcoming. The kids can join in classes. My 8 yr old enjoys the Zumba! Swim classes are hard to get in at my nearby YMCA because they allow the local residents to register 1st then a few days later other members can sign up. I dont think that is fair at all it should be 1st come as along as you have membership. Because of this I have to go across town to another YMCA location if the classes are full when my local Y is down the street. Other than this the Y is full of fun, different, easy to start classes that will definitely yield results as long as you stick with it. I started classes at 289 lbs and lost 20 lbs and a bunch of inches in 3 months.

Speaking of equipment, we also appreciate the fact all of the equipment is new and never seems to be out of order. Lastly, we love what the Y stands for in regards to Christian principals, it is easily noticed in the staff's words, actions, and the overall feel of the entire Y community.

Experiencia fantástica: I have used In Motion at Victory Y before with mixed experiences. Several years ago I was a patient and felt the team that was at this location was not very professional as they were joking and talking among themselves in a less than "inside voice" manner!!! They were for the most part young and I felt lacked supervision. Don't get me wrong I think it is fine to have friendly conversations with patients but not bantering across the room with colleagues. I am now a patient again and find the whole culture has changed. There is a professional atmosphere and I am very happy with the care I am receiving. I appreciate the information Mike has given me while instructing me on my various exercises. Crystal the tech helping me has also been very helpful and cordial. I have had no problems with scheduling.

I love that there are plenty of different machines to choose from, and are always in great working order. The staff in child watch go above and beyond to make sure our kids have an amazing time while my husband and I exercise. They are always polite and my kids always get excited to get in there and play. I totally recommend others to join the Y.

After several rounds of physical therapy stretched out over almost a year at another facility with little benefit, I came to this group on a new referral. The physical therapist I worked with was very knowledgeable, listened to my concerns and symptoms, and educated me on my problem in addition to designing a program with some key new exercises that really FINALLY seemed to help with my pain and numbness symptoms. The front desk staff was always courteous as were the PTAs. I am able to exercise again and sleep without pain and I am very grateful. I would definitely recommend this facility if you want to make progress toward your healing/recovery goals.

After knee replacement surgery every question or concern was addressed to my satisfaction. All personal we helpful, friendly and involved with my recovery. Spencer even took me to the ymca exercise room to educate me on the machines so I could continue my recovery. I highly recommend In Motion to anyone that requires physical therapy.

Experiencia negativa: Do NOT go here if you need reliability. You may find yourself in need of another therapy location with no warning. The receptionists are charming and friendly. Unfortunately, their therapists are not interested in patient well being at all from my experience. On my first appointment after being assessed (that actually went well). I was basically driven out, maybe she was having a bad day, even if she was, she shouldn't have taken it out on me. I was very sick but tried to make my appointment anyway. I realized I would be late so I called in advance. When I arrived I knew that it might be too late for my appointment but before I could even ask I got a long lecture from the therapist, followed by being told I should put the rest of my therapy "on hold". Translation: canceled. I know this is what she meant because every objection I raised to being removed from their schedule was dismissed. She basically fired me as a patient for one late appointment. My FIRST late appointment. She said it was based on talking to the therapist who originally evaluated me but her very long lecture on how I was inconveniencing her, the company, other patients etc made it was clear she knew nothing about my situation so I dont know why she bothered to speak to the other woman, if she even did. I tried desperately, despite being very ill to just not make any drastic changes until the next day when I could talk to my doctor and make certain it was ok with him but that wasn't good enough for her. I was left with no choice but to let them cancel my appointments. To top it all off she left me a lengthy lecture on my voicemail as well about being kate/missing appointments which I'm pretty sure violated HIPPA since it isn't private. If you choose to go here do NOT allow yourself to be scheduled with Patty. The first therapist I saw was kind and polite and discussed my medical condition with me at length. Her attitude was completely opposite of what I encountered at this visit. I absolutely respect the need for patients to be there and on time but I also wouldn't be in therapy in the first place if I was healthy and I don't believe one late appointment should merit the reaction I got especially when the possibility of missing it was clearly discussed in advance (I had warned them I might have an issue at that appointment due to the very condition I was seeing them for). I have had therapy before with the same company at a different location with other staff. Never had an issue. Never saw anyone treated as I was. Update: Was called and a voicemail was left a few minutes before they closed saying I needed to call so I could be rescheduled. As a courtesy to the caller (I had no intention of returning) I called them back only to be told I hadn't called soon enough and was no longer in their files (?). The woman who left the voicemail didn't even bother to come to the phone and left the poor receptionist to pass that along to me. Not sure what that was all about since it left me less then one business day to return the call. There are plenty of other excellent therapists in the area. I tried them because of the pool. Don't make the same mistake. They're not worth it.

Experiencia fantástica: Awesome PT facility! Kim, the aquatic Physical therapist really worked hard for me, coming up with unique exercises to help me recover quicker! I never had issues with getting squeezed in at times that worked for me... the receptionist and the insurance girl were always on the ball. The facility is super clean and relaxing!

Experiencia negativa: My doctor chose this facility based upon their supposed availability, as I needed twice weekly physical therapy starting immediately while still on medication. They said I could start on Monday (3 days later), but that entire appointment consisted of filling our paper work and they refused to give me two days of actual therapy as prescribed.

Experiencia negativa: Receptionist can't seem to handle scheduling appointments. To be fair they seemed understaffed, but you should care enough to make sure cancellations are communicated to a patient. The physical therapist and her assistant were very nice though.
