Experiencia fantástica: Had Tendinopathy in my knee after an injury which caused a lot of pain during my leg exercises and other physical activity. After a few months of Physical Therapy my knee pain has drastically reduced and I'm back to doing Front Squats, Lunges, and other physical activity with little to no pain. Thanks PTSMC ‍♂️

I was training for a half marathon and started to experience some hamstring pain and I was worried I wasn’t going to be able to run the race I had trained so hard for. With the help of Brian and the rest of the staff, I was able to run the half marathon and significantly improved my hamstring issues! The staff is extremely kind and welcoming. The facility is run very smoothly and has a wide range of different equipment that the therapists utilize. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to receive care here. Experiencia fantástica: Had a great experience with them after requiring PT from a fractured tibia. When I first came in I was fully dependent on a wheelchair. I had not been weight bearing for the past 2 months. By the end of the second week with them I was walking with a walker and able to do stairs. By the fourth week was walking just with a cane! Everyone there was kind, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. They pushed me just enough to see major progress each week, while making sure I was within my limits. I would definitely recommend Glastonbury PT and sports medicine center for those in need! Plus they are very close to the local Starbucks as an added benefit :)

She is a competent therapist who worked with me over the last few months to help my neck and knees become pain free and increased my strength. Experiencia fantástica: After recurring low back muscle strains resulting in great pain, lack of mobility, missed work, and perhaps worst of all, the inability to play golf, I began working with PTSMC of Glastonbury. My muscle strains occurred for reasons as simple as bending over to pick up something as light as a feather, and were serious enough to even result in one short hospitalization. The assessment was thorough, giving the therapists a solid idea of what movements triggered my pain and a clear plan of treatment. Working with both Brian and Mike, I learned how to first of all relieve some of the pain with stretches and light exercises. We then began incorporating exercises that focused on strengthening muscles that I’d never before considered important to preventing low back pain, but soon learned to be vital to preventing future occurrences. I’m happy to say that I am now back in the gym doing exercises that I’ve not been able to do in several years, and am playing golf several times a week with no issues. The staff and all of the therapists are knowledgeable, welcoming, and truly celebrated my success, almost as much as I did myself.

Experiencia negativa: I recently had a disappointing experience at PTSMC following my shoulder surgery. My physical therapist, Michael Popolizio, was extremely inattentive. Each session, he spent about 10 minutes on his laptop, leaving me to perform the same exercises that I could have easily done at home. Michael rarely checked on my progress and consistently forgot where we left off, despite spending a third of the session on the computer. I attended therapy three times a week, but his lack of engagement made it feel like a waste of time and money. For anyone considering physical therapy, I highly recommend going to Select Physical Therapy across the street instead.

We worked on both back/neck and balance issues to my relief and so, joy (after years of pain and working with several other professionals). I find the PT exercises personalized (not ex. the standard back protocol). I drive nearly an hour to come to this practitioner when I could go as close as 5 min from my home. Yup, satisfied.

Experiencia fantástica: At the beginning of January, through the recommendation from a friend I came to see Brian as a broken runner. I had tried everything on my own to get healthy for two months but nothing was working. I told him I had one goal. Get healthy to run the Boston Marathon in April. I knew to do so I would have to be healthy by February so that there would be enough time to train. Brian worked around the clock with me and by February I was feeling 100% healthy. I was not only able to run the marathon but i also qualified to run it again next year. He made my experience such a positive one that I looked forward to showing up to every session. I would strongly recommend Brian and his staff at PTSM to anyone that is dealing with any injuries or is in need of any help.

I recently strained my trapezius muscle to the degree in which I was unable to perform simple day to day activities, nun the less continue my daily exercising routine. I called the Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Center in Glastonbury and that same day they were able to get me an appointment. Everyone I spoke too was knowledgeable and listened to my concerns and after two 1 hour sessions I was back to my day to day activities and exercising routine. The service here was top notch, I have nothing bad to say about this office or its employees. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for relief from any pain or nagging injury. The staff is well equipped to handle any problem you may be facing. 10/10 score

He gave me exercises to strengthen my back,hips, and neck. These exercises are easy todo and don’t require a lot of special equipment. I’ve been to a lot of PTs. Brian is the first to give me exercises that I actually do.

Experiencia fantástica: I' went to PTSMC Glastonbury for knee and back issues. My physical therapist, Mike, was terrific. He is warm, friendly, encouraging, knowledgeable and thoughtful and has a good sense of humor. He gradually gave me more challenging exercises, and whenever I had a flare-up he would adjust PT accordingly to address whatever was going on. He gave me copies of exercises to do at home, and emailed them as well so I had videos to watch. I just completed my last session and my issues are well-resolved. All the other physical therapists, assistants and administrative staff were consistently welcoming and cheerful as well. I can't recommend PTSMC Glastonbury highly enough.

The PTs are well educated and trained and utilize a wide range of exercises, movements and equipment that meet the individual needs of each patient. My therapist was Brian who is extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and motivating. He is quickly able to adjust the program when indicated. I enjoyed working with him as well as the administrative staff who were also welcoming and very efficient .

Michael was very helpful in assessing my needs, developing a program and working with me through multiple sessions. Problem area is nearly back to my old self. He sent me home with a practical set of stretches and movements that is now on me to follow up with regularly. I experienced a well run operation and would recommend it to others.

Experiencia fantástica: Highly recommend. A few months ago, my back hurt so badly that I could barely sit or walk. Driving more than 20 minutes was too painful. Desperate for relief, I decided I needed physical therapy (despite needing to pay out of pocket due to a high deductible insurance plan). In just one session, they identified a movement (stretch) I could do that significantly relieved the pain and developed my treatment plan. Within 6 visits, I felt like new and the knowledge of how to stretch and avoid similar back pain. Very professional and hospitable.

Experiencia fantástica: I’m a local hair stylist in Glastonbury (Strand Salon) and I had been experiencing back pain and was struggling to stay active because of it. Brian was my physical therapist, and my back pain has been greatly reduced thanks to the stretches and techniques Brian has given me to use when I experience discomfort. Going twice a week can be off putting at first, but stick with it and you’ll see results. Do your part, and be open minded. Love this place.

When Mike left, and I was a little bit down, because I never thought that I would be able to develop therapeutic rapport that we had. However, I continued my therapy sessions with SHANE, & HE WAS THE BEST THING THAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED TO MY BACK! He didn’t just physically made me better, but I am also much more mentally stable, because my back was stuck on my back never fully getting better.
