Experiencia fantástica: Fui operado de mi rodilla derecha el 23 de Octubre de remplazo total por el cirujano ortopédico Tony Diaz y trasladado al siguiente día St. Catherine’sWest Rehabilitation Hospital Villa María West. He recibido una atención de excelencia por parte de el personal de terapia, enfermeras donde me atendieron,Alberto, Aarón e Isabel entre otros los que me atendieron con cariño y dedicación mientras me exigían mi esfuerzo para mi pronta recuperación. Este hospital es considerado por todo el pase por el como hotel 5 estrellas.Buena comida, trato familiar por las enfermeras y auxiliares. En la primera semana ya me sentía casi recuperado y hoy día 7 de Noviembre me siento bien recuperado e independiente y continuaré cuatro semanas más de terapia en mi clínica Galeos para mi pronta recuperación e incorporarme nuevamente a mi trabajo de mecánico. Este lugar puedo recomendarlo para los que quieran como yo una pronta y segura recuperación. Braulio Cao 78 años.

Experiencia fantástica: St. Catherine Rehab Center is professionally operated and the staff is empathetic, knowledgeable , and excellent in their delivery of hope and healing. We brought my mom there to recover from hip surgery and the care was outstanding. The doctors put forth a high level of effort to care for my mother and the support staff was very professional and pleasant. The facility was well equipped and designed for patient privacy, service and efficiency. The nurses and the nurse aides were extremely attentive, compassionate, and very skillful and competent. Nurses like Osorio, B. Gonzalez, Fraga and Sanchez are magnificent health professionals. The nurse aides: Nieto and Cueto are the most caring and loving employees I have ever met in any medical facility. We are extremely satisfied with the services provided by this center. We will highly recommend St. Catherine Rehab Center to anyone!

Mi mamá estuvo aquí y ella estaba bien caminaba y todo bien pero de momento empezó com diarrea y vomitos y la dejaron por 4 dias asi ahora mi mama necrosis em los pies y atada a oxigeno no entiende porqué cuando ella llego estaba bien negligencia

Experiencia positiva: Quiero primeramente resaltar la atención del personal médico y de servicio de este centro que es excelente, sin embargo no concibo como donde los pacientes que tienen que esforzarse haciendo ejercicios para su recuperación su alimentación sea poca y de tan mala calidad, además que en la noche tengan que poner ventiladores en los cuartos, porque el aire central es deficiente, que lastima, espero puedan mejorar estos aspectos, pues los seguros pagan muy bien a estos centros

They were compassionate, attentive, and professional, making her feel comfortable and well-cared for during a difficult time. Their dedication and kindness went above and beyond, offering not just medical support but also emotional comfort. I am deeply grateful for their unwavering commitment and the remarkable level of care they provided.

Special thanks first to Aime in the front desk at the nurse station. she was the first to see my mother when she arrived. Doctors Villanueva and Feliz thank you. Best nurse ever Yamila and also want to mention Susana and Niurka (think this is her name) in the morning shift. Therapists amazing special thanks to Dariel and Henry. last but not least the nurses' aids. BIG THANK YOU to Onelia and Lovely. Overall, a good experience.

Experiencia negativa: This review is in no way statement on the quality or care of the healthcare professionals, but rather the complete lack of tact and decorum of the receptionist Mirtha Cruz. Earlier today my grandmother passed away, leaving my family and me completely distraught. While waiting in the lobby for her remains to be moved out of the facility, we noticed the the funeral service worker was struggling to open the appropriate elevator door to escort her body out. My aunt approached Ms. Cruz simply to ask her if there was any way she could contact someone that could help with the issue. Her response was simply that she does enough as it is and that it's not her responsibility and instead someone else's. I took five other people telling her the exact issue for her to take any initiative to resolve the issue. Her excuse was ultimately to blame the funeral service worker for being new, rather than take any accountability for her own lack of professionalism. I find it hard to believe that a medical facility of this nature would employ someone like Ms. Mirtha Cruz as the face of their establishment. Who ever hired her should be ashamed for allowing someone as classless as her to represent them. I would strongly recommend for management to find someone capable of maintaining the attitude needed to assist with grieving families. This is one of the last memories I'll have of grandmother, an already difficult experience further soured by someone completely incapable of doing their job.

Experiencia fantástica: My mother was discharged from this wonderful center this week. Her improvement is amazing. After a stroke, she went five months without walking. We are very happy because now my mother can walk with a walker. We are very grateful to her therapists Marcela, Aura, and Aaron. They did a great job in her physical and emotional recovery, giving her hope and confidence. We are very grateful to the second floor team, very professionals. Everyone deserves to be recognized. I would like to mention some of the names that I remember. My apologies for not remembering some names and not mentioning them here. Dr. Miriam Feliz. Her Speech therapists. Her nurses Osorio, Reinier, Niurka… Her CNAs Ivanna, Rosita, Osmara, Mayra… Gloria, her case manager, thank you for helping us with the procedures. The cleaning girls. The Respiratory team. I would like to add that her room was very clean and comfortable. Thank you for your empathy, love and care. You all are very special.

The nursing staff was very helpful during my stay and the physical therapy was amazing! Experiencia negativa: !BEWARE! The therapist and (some) staff seemed to genuinely care for my mother, and my mother did make decent progress. Unfortunately, this is where the good things stopped. The administrators continued to push for my mother’s discharge after issues with the insurance which is understandable. However, the facility did a VERY poor job of making sure my mother was ready for discharge. Due to the facility’s negligence, my mom sustained a fall one day after being discharged and had to had to re-enter the hospital. I had several conference calls where I was threatened they would “escalate” things and being accused of not being a team player, but I had at least 10 emails which went ignored. In addition, their physical therapy assistant falsified an incident report and after I brought up the concern multiple times, no one looked into the matter further. The appeals made through the insurance are based on the accuracy of the medical and if something as simple as an incident report was falsified, I have very little confidence in the rest of their documentation. After trying to resolve the issue civilly, I had to resort to filing a complaint with the facility’s regulating agency, AHCA. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE NICENESS ON THE FRONT END.

Also the medical director Ana Martinez made us feel at ease as my mom's surgery was already scary on it's own so ensuring that her recovery place was a good was a must. Also rooms are really nice and the staff overall is very professional.

Experiencia fantástica: Mom spent 2 weeks here after her knee replacement surgery and super impressed with the care, staff, and cleanliness. The staff is kind, patient, and organized and therapist are top notch. Such a relief to know Mom was in such great hands. Thank you St. Catherine's!

Experiencia negativa: Nunca limpian los cuartos,a veces la comida es pan con pasta,hay pocos equipos para las terapias, pocos terapistas,te bañan si les dices, hay poco aire acondicionado etc,etc,no lo recomiendo y pocos trabajadores son amables,muy pocos.

Experiencia fantástica: My 80 year old mother came to this Rehab after an aggressive pneumonia that resulted in having her intubated for 5 days. After the intubation she was transferred to St Catherine for rehabilitation. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. It’s clean , organize, employees are engaged and responsible. They treat the elder with care, empathy and love. Gloria the social worker is amazing. My mother was able to leave home after spending eleven days in St Catherine walking with minimal support. She was able to go to the restroom and walk about her room from the excellent Rehab and service received in this Center.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff here is incredible! Special thanks to each nurse that have dealt with my father Armando Rodriguez. They are all have been wonderful.... just to mention one of them Mrs. Osorio is an angel... the care givers are extraordinary as well. Very patient. I also want to thank the case manager Gloria. She has been very patient with the case of my dad, even thought I keep asking questions due to how worry I am about his conditions, Gloria has always been helpful and patient. At the same time, Dra. Hurtado and the physical therapy staff are all great; always pushing my dad to do his therapy even when he is not feeling it due to his many conditions. If my father did not have this facility to recover after a stroke, we would be totally lost. Thank you each and everyone of you for your patience, care and dedication. My family will forever be grateful to all of you! :)

Experiencia fantástica: My mom was at this facility to recuperate after a right MCA stroke she suffered in August 6th 2021 . She did improve extensively the 28 days she was here. I owe this to the amazing nursing and physical therapy staff at St Catherine’s. I rarely leave reviews but thought this place deserved its merits. I was there everyday for 4-6 hours and saw many of the areas and how the staff conducted their business. Nursing staff: The nursing staff was amazing. They were extremely attentive and always went the extra step for my mother. They would make her laugh. Sit with her and talk when we weren’t there. My mom was In room 317. So I want to give a shout-out to all those nurses that took care of her day after day from mid- August to the end of September!! We will forever be grateful. Physical therapy staff: The physical therapy team is too tier. My mom was seen by the same team for her stay. Jennifer and Marcela were her physical therapy staff Maggie and Vanessa were her occupational therapist Diana and Nadya were her speech therapist They went to incredible lengths to get My mom to as close to her self pre stroke. What I loved is that my mom saw the same therapist for her stay. They were really able to track her progress and help her improve. By the end of her therapy. She was moving her left leg ( which was paralyzed from the stroke). Went from being nonverbal early August to speaking and eating by mouth by the end of her therapy! Still improving everyday. Even though the road to recovery continues, They truly made the difference!! Rooms and facility Mom had a private room and was always clean. Physical therapy is in the first floor amd the had a state of the art facility. Excellent cleaning staff To everyone that was involved - thank you for caring for my mom Cary. We are forever grateful!

Yurisan Rios...My grand-mom was here for no more than 10 days and was only seen 1 time by this doctor and was transferred to Palmetto hospital after coming from Memorial West. You would think they would send her back to the hospital she came from but obviously like many other places they go by what is convenient to them. Even after speaking with family members requesting to send her back to the hospital she came from. Now her care is delayed because records need to be sent back and forth. I was recommended this facility from a family member that was here before but as you can see, not everyone will receive the same experience. Experiencia fantástica: It’s a place I probably would have never wanted to review as it brings sorrow to me to know a loved one is ill and here. But the love I felt and peace upon arriving was overwhelming and I am compelled to share the experience. A family member was brought to the facility. My mom was visiting for the new year and the visit aligned with her stay. Upon arriving a photographed the entrance to show my daughter in a quick text we had arrived. Then when we were entering I could help notice the water fall and when I approached it realized the etched saint. We entered the lobby and were greeted and registered. We made it to the room we were welcomed by nurses and staff. Our interactions where more impressive when the team of nurses and doctors came to evaluate the person we were visiting. So here is what I saw... compassion, love, and respect. I was in a state of peace knowing that there’s a chance this family member may not recover from his illness what a beautiful place for his family to be greeted and embraced with. As I looked around the room I couldn’t help but to find peace in the hints that they are not alone in this journey and the blessings they are surrounded with. Just felt I had to share because there are so many places they could have been at and it seems this one was peaceful and just perfect for them.

Experiencia negativa: My mother passed away here. She was in home hospice and was admitted due to pneumonia. She was fine the night before I left her the next morning they called me to tell me she was unconscious. They told me they gave her Ambien so she can sleep. 48 hours later she was gone. This place is not a rehab. If your loved one is in hospice care and ends up here. They do no do palliative care!!! They speed up the process. They did the same thing to my friends mother. Beware of leaving your relative alone because if you leave them alone they speed up a process that should be natural. Very upset

Experiencia fantástica: My mother was in IPU from April 8 until April 22 when she passed away. During that time the staff was extremely attentive. I interacted regularly with nurses Ines, Maria, and Gizela, all very professional and helpful. The Chaplain with her sweet song and prayer was always very soothing. The room was private and everything was clean and orderly in the room and the facility in general. Mom was bathed in her bed regularly and cared for properly. I saw nothing at the location that would make me rate it anything less than a 5 star.

Experiencia negativa: My 42 year old cousin is dying after a 3 year battle with cancer and the nurses from this hospital (specifically Claudia and Carlos) have had ZERO empathy for her. They have left her soaked in urine, have left her without a bath for days, and have been rude to our entire family that is suffering from this tragedy. I have witnessed first hand how they have stripped my cousin of any dignity that she has left as she is dying. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Please do not leave your loved ones in their hands. PLEASE NOTE: This review is specifically regarding the case manager, Carlos, assigned to my cousins care in her home setting and Claudia, the head nurse at St. Catherine’s hospice hospital. Carlos did not have any empathy. Carlos did not bother to assist the patient with her bowel routine. My family was aiding her with suppositories and dis impacting, which is the nurses responsibility. The nurses would show up three to five hours after they were called to the house for crisis and did not provide continuous care. Claudia did not help my cousin when she was in need of a catheter for urination. My cousin was complaining of lower abdomen pain and Claudia did not contact the doctor for the foley catheter. With the exception of Claudia, the head nurse, the nurses in the actual hospital facility were professional and kind. They handled everything with efficiency and urgency and were excellent with providing good care. They were also very comforting to me and my family during a very difficult time.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give this place NO STARS I would. My father in law had cancer and after his surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital, they sent him to St. Catherine's West Rehabilitation Hospital because they said in Jackson Memorial that there was nothing else to be done. So they had Raul, from hospice from this place to come in and speak with us. Now, this isn't my first rodeo! When my grandfather a few years back was put in hospice he was there until the very end, until he passed away. Now, here, they told us that he was going to be there to make him comfortable and have his own private room with a twenty four hour nurse taking care of him. So we agreed to tranfering him there and guess what!? Everytime we would get there they would say that he was eating and that he was doing pperfectly fine and 20 days later without our concent they discharged him and less than 24 hours he passed away. When they discharged him they said that they were going to have a nurse from this place go twice a day to the house to take care of him and the nurse never showed up! Don't waste your time or your loved ones life on this place! It's ALL a lie!

My husband was there from June 12th through June 28th, and he received an excellent service from all the doctors and nurses, but I would like to name two nurses assistants Rosario Cueto and Madelin Perez, who were exceptional with my husband and me. They showed a high quality care service that a person needs. I would like to say that there was something negative that I did not like; the food provided there is not as good as it should be. It doesn't provide the nutrients that a sick person needs and it for sure needs improvement. Everything else (facilities, bathrooms, rooms) is tidy and very nice.

No hermana es enfermera y les digo ...busquen Este Centro primero. 5 estrellas porque 10 no existen

Experiencia positiva: Excelente lugar medicos enfermeras limpieza buen trato

Experiencia negativa: Para mi este centro de Rehabilitacion no tiene ni una estrella el personal no está capacitado para cuando ingresa una persona con alzheimer no saben lidiar con la enfermedad no hacemos nada con que el piso este limpio si los enfermos los dejan dos y tres horas orinados y con caca y lo puedo decir de muy cerca pues paso con mi madre ,hace dos días que su bata de dormir hubo que botarla Hoy a las 9.30 pm fue cuando la acostaron la sacaron de la silla de ruedas .Porque supuestamente sólo habían dos empleadas para una sala completa. Yo particularmente no lo recomiendo. Sinceramente
