Experiencia fantástica: I take these reviews very seriously, and as the CEO of a large medical center, I have a trained and attentive eye for excellence in healthcare facilities, and Memorial Rehabilitation Institute at Memorial Regional Hospital South Center surpassed all expectations. My father, who is a physician, was sent here for physical therapy, and the experience has been nothing short of phenomenal. From the moment you walk in, the center’s cleanliness and pleasant atmosphere are immediately apparent. The cafeteria provides a calm and enjoyable environment where you can relax and ease your mind. The physical therapy installations are truly wonderful, featuring a mock apartment, supermarket, and bathroom to teach patients how to navigate real-life situations. They even have a car to practice getting in and out of. Driving lessons are not included (Joke). The gym is fully equipped with PT machines, bands, and at the time we visited, it was buzzing with the positive energy of smiling therapists. Speaking of the therapists and nurses, they are outstanding. Not only are they highly knowledgeable, but they also exhibit incredible patience and motivation, pushing patients to achieve their best within safe limits. Jennifer and Martha, in particular, were always prompt to assist and provided exceptional care with unwavering encouragement. They and others helped my dad regain his confidence in walking. A special thank you to all the nurses and therapists on staff. My mother, also a physician and a very strong critic, was way beyond pleased with Memorial Rehabilitation. She called me daily, praising the positive attitude of everyone around them and the effective rehabilitation setup. Of course she had to mentioned the delicious food. The daily visits to the sunroom on the 1st floor for a healthy dose of vitamin D were a highlight for her. Special mention must be made of Dr. Raul Torres. His attentiveness and thorough communication ensured that all their questions were answered, and he kept them well-informed throughout the therapy process. Dr. Torres's dedication to patient care is truly commendable. A very special mention goes to Bibiana Hernandez, whose dedication and compassion are what also set Memorial Rehabilitation apart. Bibi went above and beyond to ensure our experience was seamless. Our insurance terms were initially unclear, but Bibi took it upon herself to clarify everything. She navigated the complexities, demonstrating a profound understanding of the system. Her proactive approach and constant follow-ups, whether through calls or text messages, provided me with peace of mind. Bibi's commitment to her patients is unmatched; she was always available, offering support and solutions with a warm and caring demeanor. Her exceptional service turned what could have been a stressful situation into a smooth and reassuring experience. Bibi thank you so much! By the end of, if I remember correctly, 10 days, my father had regained a lot of his mobility. In my opinion, what truly sets Memorial PT Rehabilitation apart is their focus on personalized care combined with mock living areas, but especially the exceptional staff like Bibi and the therapists’ nurses and physicians, who truly care about their patients' progress. This makes them the clear choice for physical therapy needs. There is no debate that Memorial PT Rehabilitation is the place to bring your loved ones for physical therapy. As someone who understands the intricacies of the medical system, I can confidently say that my parents, both seasoned physicians, were extremely pleased—more than pleased—with the care and service at Memorial PT Rehabilitation.

Experiencia positiva: This place is dirty. Bugs in the room. Woke up with 3 bites on my face, The phone smells. Food stuck on side of the tray. Upon complaining, transferred to 6th fl, passed 6 staff members, not ONE said hello, then i sat in my room 3hrs str8t, no one came in. The amount of money they get for us, they can do better. Not to mention the Director is a nut! Only good thing is the view!

Experiencia negativa: The cardiac rehab scheduling team or who ever does the scheduling is a joke.. From the beginning of the year until today. 2 cardiac Dr's ( UM and Memorial West) both offices confirmed sending rehab scripts 4 times. My mom was told never received, then 4th sorry Medicare requires original signature. Wow horrible considering the rest of the areas are AMAZING. CARDIAC REHAB IS A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I want to talk about the great experience I had when I visited twice in a week the IMAGING UNIT at Memorial Rehabilitation Institute at Memorial Regional Hospital South. The team members at that unit were sweet, kind, and very professional to the point that you feel like if you were at your own home and that family is taking care of you. Experiencia fantástica: We were referred to Memorial Rehab by my wifes surgeon. We were very satisfied. The senior nursing staff was amazingly talented and professorial. Their supervision carried through the entire nursing staff. The rehab therapist were all great. Caring, patient and persistant. My wife was and is recovering from a ruptured brain anuerism . The bleed was stopped by a coil proceedure. and she spent over 3 weeks in an ICU before transferring to Memorial. Memorial was the perfect go between the ICU and home recovery. Jane's recovery isn't complete, but well on the way with the help of Memorial. Thank you to all the Dr.s, nurses, therapists and even housekeeping personnel that helped during Jane's stay.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing rehab center. I have nothing but praise for all the staff in the rehab center. My wife was transferred to this facility after a brain surgery. The therapists were very practical and were willing to work with the family to address the concerns of the patients. It was a breath of fresh air to see such patient focused approach to the medical and rehab care. Be it the nurses or charge nurse or the PCAs every one was eager to help the patients. The doctors were also very good. Over all it was a very good setting for any kind of rehab. I would recommend this facility for any one needing an acute rehab.

Experiencia negativa: I am a black female retired disabled police officer with The Hollywood Police Department of fifteen years, Please let it be noted… I retired with full permanent disability on 7/26/19, I had settled a workers comp / EEO settlement on 8/6/19. Workers Comp/ EEO case was closed on 8/22/19. The City of Hollywood reneged settlement on 9/12/19, Violation of the sunshine law..( stated it was a bad business deal) On 1/23/20, I accused Dr. Alan Novick of sexual battery. I had immediately reported the incident the same day to my workers comp attorney, Erik Grindal, who has been appointed to Judge of Worker’s Compensation, Sarasota, Fl. He decided not to report the incident because of his twenty years friendship with the aforementioned physician. Therefore he stated that he would refer me to gay orthopedics, Dr. Chris Brown, Plantation, Fl for my follow up instead because he believes Dr. Chris Brown would be able to sympathize with my needs. I notified Attorney Tamatha Alavrez prior to terminating Attorney Erik Grindal “s service and she advised for me to wait because she needed her referral fee. I notified my workers comp/civil rights attorney, Peter Hoogerwoerd, who stated that the incident had happened before his time. and that if I didn’t return back to Dr. Alan Novick for my follow up visit that my workers comp case would be dismissed. I notified the Hollywood Police Department and they refused to make a sexual battery report and classified it as an information report instead. I notified Memorial Hospital, who was more concerned with the statute of limitations. Please let it be noted that my medical records were also falsified. Please be careful !

Experiencia negativa: I have been trying to schedule an appointment for three days now.. no one picks up the phone, they ask you to leave a message and phone number, however no one has contacted me yet. Horrible customer service.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently had a 2 week stay at this facility. They literally got me back on my feet again. When I went in I could not even walk. From doctor Torres, Who takes his time, listen to you, And explains things patiently and thoroughly. The nurses all went above and beyondThe Call of Duty.They formed a very personal Relationship with me and were very attentive, personable, and I thought of them as friends. The therapist were the ones that literally showed me how to walk again. Without their guidance and attention to detail, I don't think I would be walking still. If you find yourself a patient at this facility, Truth be told, you are in the most capable han ds, And consider yourself blessed

Every physical therapist I encounter was oustanding. Caring, friendly and extremely compassionate.

Experiencia fantástica: This place is great,nurses and physical therapist the best...after been in MEMORIAL MIRAMAR where after been in ICU entubated. whit an INDUCED COMMA for 20 days.. the doctors saved my life and got me free of COVID..after 40days got transferred to MEMORIAL SOUTH great place for rehab...pressured by my insurance to release me ..was transferred to another place before they help me walk again..THANK YOU NURSES AND THERAPIST YOU ARE ALWAYS IN MY HEART ..GOD BLESS...

Experiencia fantástica: I am grateful to memorial rehab and all the therapists and staff. When I arrived at Memorial rehab I could not walk or even get out of bed by myself. I required a lot of help and thank God I came to the right place. Because of the excellent care, attention and encouragement I got I was able to can get out of bed on my own and work towards getting out of a wheelchair to a walker, and now thanks to them I can even just walk with cane with brace on. There is not enough room for everything I can say about this wonderful place. My husband has many health issues including aggressive brain cancer. We have dealt with many hospitals, doctors, and medical personnel. The level of compassion, expertise, and passion is far beyond anything I have seen. We have met wonderful people in the healthcare industry but to say that EVERY single person we encountered at Memoria Rehab was amazing, is not an exaggeration. Particularly, I must thank the team that worked closely with my husband on a daily basis: Dr Ian Miller, PT Roger, OT Ben, SLP Alyssa, just to name a few. Simply incredible.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible service, they disrespect their patients and if a patient requests to be taken to the emergency room due to SEVERE pain they deny them the RIGHT to do so. If anything this “rehabilitation” center made my father’s recovery even more agonizing!

Experiencia fantástica: Best rehab ever!! If in need that’s the one you should choose. Our friend was admitted after a serious head injury and in 10 days he progressed miraculously! The staff, from the bottom up are great, supportive and professional ! It’s clean, efficient and well organized. The rehab program that was designed for him was awesome! I have no words: WE are SO HAPPY for his recovery! Thank you

The coordination of care from the nursing staff, to therapy team, to the case management team, and the social worker --- EXCELLENT! We highly recommend Memorial Rehab.

Experiencia negativa: The care my loved one received while there was very good. The staff is wonderful and caring. Unfortunately the home care that was supposed to be set up by the case manager there was never confirmed by them. We are now dealing with a crisis situation at home.

Experiencia negativa: The management in the pharmacy is the worst I have seen in thirty years practicing. Patricia violated their own ethics practice by attending a dinner program for a company that is promoting its non-formulary product. I guess if your a hypocrite and horrible manager head to Memorial. It may be why they had over a thirty percent turnover rate in the Pharmacy and they thought that was good. They also work with the HR to falsify documents. Stay away as a professional pharmacist with integrity!!!

Experiencia positiva: My 91 year old mom went here for about a week following surgery for a broken femur. The physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses and patient care associates were great. In particular, the one OT, Nora Halabi, forged a bond with my mom that has lasted, to the point that Nora is the only person that my mom's failing memory seems to remember. She was amazingly compassionate and kind, with a great sense of humor that kept things light. Deserving of note, were her nurses Fariba Matluck and Elisheba Aggabao, PCAs Lazara, Diana Chavez, Avaneik Stewart. Dr. Jeremy Jacobs is doing a great job with this acute rehab floor.
