As an engineer, I was pleased to find a clean, modern and inviting environment. As a patient, I was highly impressed with the care I received from Dr. Madeline Cowan and her Assistant Elizabeth. Dr. Cowan's bedside manner should be the "Gold Standard" for all caregivers to follow. He professionalism and technical expertise is to be emulated by all and celebrated among her peers. Both she and Elizabeth showed genuine concern for my well-being and progress while encouraging me to give my best in order to get the best results. I am happy to report that through their expert care and guidance, I am in better physical condition than when I first began therapy. I am a BIG fan of Dr. Cowan and Elizabeth and would highly recommend them to all who have need of physical therapy. You will quickly learn as I did, that you are in the best hands in Orange County and in the Physical Therapy industry! They work you hard, if you put in the effort, and you see progress within weeks. Due to an unrelated medical bill, I needed to stop my program, but would have liked to continued on. The staff is professional, courteous, and motivates you throughout the sessions. I highly recommend!

After some research, I discovered InMotion and decided to give it a try after reading several positive reviews. My physical therapist, Madeline, played a crucial role in my recovery, and the support from the aides, Jon and Gunther, was outstanding. Madeline's approach focused on not only strengthening my injured knee but also tailoring the treatment to enhance my performance in jiu-jitsu. Not even in comparison to the other two, in Motion OC was unlike the others because I was met with such amazing care. The PTs and PT aids were supportive, kind, respectful, intelligent, helpful and empathetic. Personally, I could not find a better place that heard out my needs, understood my low back pain (even when they have never felt it before), and helped me achieve what I never thought was possible: feeling like a normal human being again. Experiencia fantástica: About 5 years ago I had a frozen shoulder on my left arm. In July I needed to start physical therapy for my neck and my right shoulder which was painful and I could barely move my arm. Michelle was my therapist the first time around and because of the excellent care I had, I knew she was the one I wanted as my therapist. Michelle loves what she does and it shows by how well she explains everything, understands the problem and knows exactly what to do, her personality is a huge plus and she's always very professional! Michelle is great and also from what I've experienced as a patient, the whole staff is great! There is always a welcoming presence of kindness and care for each other and for everyone who walks through the doors.

Experiencia fantástica: I came to In Motion OC with knee pain from lifting and playing sports. Madeline worked with me, and was excellent throughout the whole process. She explained what the injury was and gave me exercises to do both at home and during our visits that helped immensely. I was able to return to normal activities with no pain after about 6 weeks with In Motion. They are also much cheaper than a lot of private practices I've been to before & take most insurance carriers. Would highly recommend them to anybody!

When I would find myself discouraged; they motivated me and found a way to have me push on. Matt's knowledge, compassion and hands on manipulation skills are remarkable. He listened to me at all times and I felt safe with him. Brittney made me smile and laugh all the while making sure I did every workout correctly. The location is kept very clean which is huge! Experiencia fantástica: I have been with IMOC fitness for over 1.5 years and have loved the energy and culture. The workouts are specialized for my needs and background. I started there after a few trips through their PT department, and once my insurance was up and was medically healed, it was time to build muscle, mobility, and better habits to keep me from reinjuring myself. One example is how I used to try and deadlift but was constantly getting back pain in doing so. I would watch videos and try to improve my lifts, but I wasn't successful on my own. When I joined, Edgar helped my technique and provided me exercises and queues that increased my core strength and form. The exercises were not something I found online and were specially made and created for me based on my current level and state. The biggest help was that he evaluated my form and was able to design a plan based on the deficiencies in MY form. It wasn't a generic template. He also critiqued videos I would send him as I worked on this from my home using his plan. I am now able to lift much more than my body weight. Not to mention the added knowledge he has provided me on my diet. So far, the mission has been more than successful. I encourage anyone in any age group or fitness level to

Experiencia fantástica: I found In Motion OC after a vacation fall. It had just opened close to my house and I needed to get moving again. The team was able to get me walking and mobile again. The team of PTs and assistants is so professional and really cares about making sure your program is right for you. Unfortunately, PT only got me so far and I had a couple of surgeries to repair torn ligaments. After surgery, I was right back to In Motion to continue my journey back to mobility. In January, the HB facility was starting a fitness program - small group training. I was still in my cast from my surgery, but wanted to get moving again. I talked to the fitness team, and they assured me they could work with my cast and still get me moving and building my strength to be prepared for coming out of my cast. The fitness program exceeded my expectations! When I came out of my cast I was confident that I would be getting around without worrying about another fall. In February, I had an unplanned trip to Europe and felt confident walking in my air cast thanks to my fitness workouts. The fitness team is top-notch. I have never experienced anything like it. I have continued with the fitness program and can't recommend it enough - I feel strong and more confident than I have in a long time. When it was time for PT again after my surgery, I felt like I was ahead of schedule based on my time in the fitness program. If you are looking for either physical therapy or a small group fitness program in HB, please give In Motion OC a call - you will thank me later!

Experiencia fantástica: Deciding to go to In Motion OC because it was close to home was the luckiest draw ever! I've received physical therapy in the past where I feel fine during and after sessions, but didn't notice long term changes. I came to In Motion OC after an emergency c-section with scar pain, diastasis recti (separation of the abdominal muscles), and back pain. Working with Mitchelle was so much fun! She is so personable and makes you feel cared for. She always listened to my concerns and showed her extensive knowledge by not only fixing a problem using manual therapy, but educating me on why the issue is happening, teaching me how to address it at home when pain flares up, and how to prevent it. Her technique is why I feel I was successful in treatment. I'm leaving feeling 10x stronger and prepared to handle pain flare ups with all that I've learned from Mitchelle. I can not recommend her enough, she's amazing!

Experiencia fantástica: OC in Motion in Huntington Beach provides exceptional service. Everything about this clinic is professional and encouraging to anyone who is in need of physical therapy. The receptionist is extremely kind and helpful. She was always friendly and provided support when I was struggling with the technology. Her positive demeanor was always welcomed as some days I really was mentally struggling because of my injury. There was also a Daily Bread on the counter which reminded me to keep the faith. One day I looked up and saw a scripture on the wall Isaiah 40:31: Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. This scripture encouraged me on one of my rough days while I was there. I’m so thankful I saw it that day. During my sessions I always worked with Matt who has a doctorate in physical therapy which many physical therapist don’t have. Although Matt had a doctorate, he was not arrogant or inconsiderate. Instead, he was patient and kind. He worked diligently to help design a plan that would help build the strength in my knee. He always asked me how I was doing because he knew that in order to create the best plan feedback was essential. Matt also made sure that the physical therapist assistants who worked with me understood the rationale behind the various exercises I was doing. He is a great teacher and very knowledgeable. Oh yeah, he’s also extremely knowledgeable about biomechanics. The physical therapist assistance were patient and helpful. If they recognized that I was doing the exercises incorrectly, they would advice me and remind me of the correct anatomical position. I was always so grateful for their help. When you call to make an appointment or if you forget when your appointment time is (which I did often). You won’t have to punch ten numbers before you get to a human. I really love this!!! One of the most important things that transpired while here is that Matt during testing my knee, diagnosed my injury and was able to elicit the popping that I have been experiencing. I had been telling doctors for nearly a year that my knee has been popping, and it feels like the tendon is gliding across the bone in my knee. The doctors whom I have been seeing were not able to do what Matt was able to do during my evaluation. He is so amazing. I’m forever grateful for his help. If you are in need of a professional facility to provide you physical therapy, look no further. This clinic is amazing. Experiencia fantástica: In April of 2022 I fractured my left fibula just below the ball joint in the hip. To repair the fracture, a single piece of titanium rod was inserted inside the fibula bone at the hip and down to just above my left knee cap. A pin was then inserted through the titanium rod and into the ball joint anchoring the rod at the hip. Another pin was inserted through the other end of the rod anchoring it to the femur bone just above the knee cap. At the start of the in-facility therapy program at Huntington Beach - In Motion O.C. with Michelle Mezin, PT, DPT, MFDc, I was very dependent on my walker to navigate about. I thought I would be stuck with using the walker for months until I could graduate to a cane. On my first evaluation session with Michelle, she was very positive and encouraging. She informed me that I will soon be walking without aid of my walker and that there will be no need for a cane. Michelle then tested me to see how I could walk without my walker. As I started to walk leaving behind my walker she followed me to aid me should I need help. She was also observing me as to how I walked. This test really motivated me, and along with Michelle’s encouragement, it set the tone for rehab sessions to follow. I first had to learn to walk again, and along with several other rehab exercises, my rehab rapidly progressed. Two months after my operation I saw my Orthopedic Surgeon. He was really surprised to see me walking without my walker or a cane. He stated I was ahead of schedule in the healing process. Thank you for that Michelle, and thank you for your knowledge and professionalism. I had my final visit with my Orthopedic Surgeon just before my last rehab session and when he viewed my x-rays he was satisfied that the fracture has healed. He told my wife and me that I healed faster than the average patient. I believe Michelle had a big part in that. Also, I feel that the therapeutic manipulation to relieve pain in pressure points in my leg and hip that Michelle conducted really helped me. She has an excellent understanding of kinesthesia as she is a PHD in the field of study. I really learned a lot about correct exercise form from Michelle and wholeheartedly recommend her and the entire Huntington Beach – In Motion Team.

Experiencia fantástica: A+++ Life changing therapists. My son was diagnosed with Osgood schlotter's disease at the beginning of football season and his primary care doctor told him to rest. I called In Motion OC and told them we needed some help and within 3 weeks his pain was completely gone (while he continued to play). It has been 5 months since his first visit and he is still pain-free, and extremely active. Incredible. I have polymyalgia rheumatica and have been on steroids for 1.5 years for pain related to auto immune inflammation. I went to In Motion OC to help with the pain (5 months ago) and it has been a totally empowering, life-changing event. They have given me stretches/exercises to help with the daily pain, and I do them every morning and have a relatively pain-free day because of In Motion OC. I have also been able to decrease the steroid and am almost completely off! If you are familiar with the crippling pain of pmr, you can appreciate the magnitude of my gratitude. 2 days prior to my first visit, I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my hands. I walked in with braces on my hands and walked out and never put them back on. I was just telling them that I hardly even do those exercises because that pain is almost completely gone due to their help. I could hardly write when i first went in, and now I don't have pain. As a not so small aside, I have had cracking arch pain in my feet, they showed me how to work that muscle, and 35 years of pain is now almost gone. Empowering and I am thankful for them every day. Every session Amber meets with you and determines your progress and makes any needed modifications to your treatment. While performing your exercises at the facility, you are constantly being watched to ensure you are doing them correctly. On your first visit, you leave with a folder of exercises to do at home, and there is also an app you can download for more clarification. In Motion OC HB is a beautiful, well appointed facility with a welcoming atmosphere and a top notch staff. I recently moved from the East Coast and am so happy I found this place.

The communication is great! My daughter is a teen athlete who is passionate about softball. Amanda helped my teen rehab from a prior injury that flared up. Amanda was relatable to my teen, firm but kind and honest with her. Amanda made her work hard and it's paid off. My daughter is back on the field and feeling good. At my daughters final visit, Amanda gave her a hug and asked her to come back to visit, even shadow if the field interests her. Experiencia fantástica: I recently had back surgery and was order to go to PT. I have never been to a physical therapist and I decided to give In Motion O.C. a try given some of great reviews I was reading. I want to confirm those positive reviews are all true. I have been seeing Amada in the HB clinic since late December 2021 (and still seeing her (its Feb 2022)) and the results have been fantastic. I feel I have more motion in my hip then pre-surgery and definitely feel my core getting stronger. Amanda and staff are all very profession and patient. The clinic is super clean and they disinfect frequently. Appointments are easy to make and the insurance process has been seamless. I would definitely recommend going to see Amanda at In Motion.

I had pain in my hand and shoulder, and I have been to the doctor before, which they just prescribe some pain medication without letting me know what is going on or how to improve on them. The pain persisted for years, and my colleague recommended me to In Motion O.C therapy since he got treated here for his shoulder (bike accident). I finally get a referral from the doctor to get treated at In Motion O.C. I started at the Irvine location since H.B. hasn't opened then. All the staff are amazing, super friendly, and always there to help you. When you signed up for consultation, they sent you digital forms to fill out to shorten the first appointment paperwork process, but I saw that you could just walk in 10 mins earlier too. Anna is knowledgeable about her work, and can always answer any question that I have since the beginning. When I need to move location to H.B., I am happy that she is also here. I walked out of therapy feeling amazing every time, and it is all thanks to the amazing team of Amanda and Kayla. First, Amanda always assets how my hand has been since the last session, and she proceeds to work on it to determine if I need a certain routine on that day. Both Amanda and Kayla take turn to follow me through all the exercise, and they make sure that I get the correct form. It shows that they really care about their patient, and want them to get better. Each session lasts for an hour, and I go twice a week. Amanda and Kayla have helped my hand improve from being in constant pain to only feeling hurt in certain positions/motions. My goal is to continue until my hand is much more improved and then move on to the shoulder (They can only focus on one area at a time even though I do have some shoulder exercises that have helped as well!) The facility is brand-new with an amazing aesthetic. Anna keeps the front desk looking sleek, while Amanda and Kayla always disinfect and clean all the equipment after each session. I highly recommend In Motion O.C. especially H.B. location, you and your trouble will be taken care of by the amazing team of Anna, Kayla, and Amanda!

Experiencia fantástica: This InMotionOC branch facility is new in Huntington Beach. Located in a small mall with plenty of parking. This place has a welcoming atmosphere, clean and well-organized. The staff clean and disinfect, change pillow-case....after each use. This made you feel especially safe during the pandemic. The staff: Amanda, Erin, Matt……..are super friendly and helpful, knowledgeable and love their work. It is a happy place getting treatment and workout in relaxing music. Amanda, my physical therapist, is patient, very professional, caring and supportive. She started with a thorough evaluation. Patiently explained to me with photos what and where caused my pain ( muscle, tendon, ligament, joint...). I have two PT sessions a week plus a home exercise program to help speed up the recovery process. Patients here get treated with the best care and attention to meet their physical therapy goals. I strongly recommend InMotionOC in Huntington Beach to anyone looking for a clinic to improve their health and well beings.

I have nothing but great things to say about my experience, Michelle and Zuri and all the staff are extremely knowledgeable, effective and a great team! The rehab on my ankle couldn't have gone better, I can function as I could preinjury. If I need physical therapy in the future, this is hands down my number one choice!

Experiencia fantástica: I recently started working with Amanda and her team for a back injury. I have been so impressed with the sessions (professional, focused, very hands on, lots of reinforcement and feedback) and have seen such incredible results. In only 3 weeks of therapy and with the daily, hand-tailored workout regimen they recommended, I have gone from not being able to pick up my kids or perform my normal home/work duties, back to some semblance of my normal life. They upload all your exercises onto an app called Keen so that you can remember the sequence and reference videos on how to do the exercises. Everyone is so approachable, encouraging, and knowledgeable. Scheduling is incredibly easy. The facility itself is clean, organized and very comfortable. This clinic has changed the course of my recovery and I highly recommend it.
