Experiencia fantástica: They took such wonderful care of my mother for the roughly 2 months she was there, such caring and compassionate people. Mom felt at ease there and she loved the caretakers and nurses as did I. The night she passed they set a bed up for me so that I could be there for her, they are just wonderful, they made sure I was OK while I was there with mom. I will never forget the love they showed my mother and myself.

Experiencia negativa: I don’t know what it is about this God bless center. When I try to call to check on my dad. They will not answer the phone maybe one out of 10 times they’ll answer they have a couple good people there but they have some bad ones also.

Experiencia negativa: The workers just look so overworked and underpaid. Every time I come visit my family member they all just look exhausted and not full of life.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff (more like family) are the most loving and caring here. These people pour their heart and souls into our precious elderly mothers, grandmothers, etc. So thankful for a place like this. The food is always good too!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Experiencia negativa: If you want loving care and rehabilitation for your loved ones stay away from Heritage. My grandmother was moved here from the Hospital on a caseworker recommendation to undergo rehab after breaking her leg during a fall. The staff here doesn’t care about their patients. The entire hospital reeks of human waste. My grandmother was left to lay in her own waste multiple times. She was left without her doctor ordered prescriptions for 8 days, she was given a bath one time during her short stay here, and instead of listening to us and correcting the issues, my family was accused of not caring for her. The staff trash talks the patients and their families and completely ignores the Hippocratic Oath in their standard of care. After only a week in this facility, the staff called my grandmother an unruly patient and lied to the Hospital saying that she refused all physical therapy and shipped her back to the Emergency Room. My grandmother was taken back home yesterday where she collapsed early this morning and is currently back in the ER with a Urinary Tract Infection likely caused by this center and left undiagnosed. If you love your family, do not put them in this nightmare.

Experiencia fantástica: My mom broke her hip and we had her at another facility in town that was very understaffed and she was not getting the care she needed. I went to Heritage one afternoon without an appointment and met Kalee Tucker. She showed me the facility and introduced me to other administrators. I met with Kalee, the social worker, the assistant director of nursing and a physical therapist for 2 hours asking numerous questions and giving examples of difficult situations with patients and asking how that might be handled. They answered all of my questions and never rushed me. When I left I thought it was possible they told me what I wanted to hear. We moved my mom 2 weeks ago and it has been the best decision we have made. She has settled in and is very comfortable at Heritage. She has had the best care, just as I was told she would. All the RN's, LVN's and CNA's have been so good to my mom. They interact when taking care of her and take time to talk to her and get to know her. They treat her as they would their mom or grandma. I highly recommend the Heritage if you are looking for rehab, skilled nursing or long term care. Thank you, all of you, for taking good care of my mom.

Experiencia fantástica: This facility is awesome. With COVID restrictions at literally every other facility in Amarillo KEEPING YOU AWAY from your loved one, this one excels. They offer visits, window visits, and you can opt to have your loved one have a tablet that you can use to FaceTime anytime you want! I was already upset putting my grandfather in long term care and after several other facilities told me I wouldn't be able to see him I was extremely upset. Then I found Heritage, who goes the extra mile to make sure you can visit. I was so relieved and the small fee you pay for a tablet is totally worth it. There are some negative reviews from years ago, dont let them deter you! My grandfather has received excellent care, as he is able to tell me how things are going each day over FaceTime. If you care about visiting with your loved ones, Heritage Convalescent is the place to go.

Experiencia fantástica: If you have a loved one who needs long-term care, Heritage is the best place. Their management and staff are always kind, loving, and ready to assist you with anything you need. We were never treated with anything short of dignity and respect. Thank you, Heritage, for helping us through this tough time.

Experiencia negativa: Not happy with this place. Could not handle my patient, she was only there 2 1/2 days and shipped her to a rehabilitation hospital. They didn’t like she wondered around. Been waiting almost 2 months for a refund on the rest of her money we had paid for and keep getting the run around. Putting someone with Down syndrome on psych meds is very bad. I cannot stand this place. Do not put someone you love here!!!

Experiencia negativa: Stay away from this place. Moved my mom to a different place. During the covid shut down they neglected her bad. They are still closed down and will let no one in to your family members room. Only 1 hour visit a week in a designated area.We moved her to a place where we can come and go anytime we please I don't understand why this place is still locked down.

Experiencia fantástica: My grandpa was here for skilled nursing. I am truly thankful for the staff and the therapy department. My grandpa was dealing with a hip fracture and covid. Thankful for the care, he survived even tho he is 86 and was able to go back home. Room was big and clean and I am forever thankful for the care! They also offered Respite care if we need a break they could take care of my grandpa for a week or more depending our needs.

Experiencia fantástica: My Great Grandmother was here for years. She was very happy to call this place home. We knew that her spa time , bingo, and church services were very important to her and this facility went above and beyond to make sure she attended. We love this building and would recommend it to anyone.

Experiencia negativa: They informed us today that they are no longer allowing even window visits!! Is this true? Also that they would purchase our mom a tablet with her money and that’s the only form of face visitation we get!! I haven’t heard of anyone else doing this And I work for Baptist Community Services!!

Experiencia negativa: My dad is at this facility for long-term but we’re doing our best to move him. If you love your mom or dad please find another facility. The administration doesn’t care about family concerns. They argue with you instead of fixing the problem. The facility is under staffed but the administration won’t agree with you when you tell them so. My dad has lost his personal belongings and we have reported to staff many times and nothing gets done. Call lights go unanswered by staff, the staff lacks compassion for the residents.

Experiencia fantástica: My mother went there for 10 days, she was very weak and needed therapy. The staff was great and helped her get her strength back;they also were very caring and helpful. My mother was able to go home and do her day to day activities with ease because of the individual attention Heritage gave her. The administration is absolutely wonderful they give the residents hope for the future.

Experiencia negativa: My grandpa was in this facility and it was ok until the last 4 months or so when they got the new administration. My grandpa had been saying that he wasn't happy and they were mistreating him. My dad went one time and heard the nurses complaining and saying things like "This damn old man..." and my aunt showed up another time and my grandpa was soaked in his own urine. He said he had been calling for help to go to the restroom but no one ever showed up. My aunt pressed the nurses button for help to clean him up and no one showed up. After about 20 minutes she finally went looking for help. My aunt has spoken to administration several times and the head lady just said "Well if you don't like the care than take him somewhere else." Wow great customer service. They have 1 nurse for 2 halls so the patients are not getting cared for correctly. Another time my grandpa's sugar was low and he was out of juice. The nurses checked it and told him he could go to the cafeteria to get coffee or something. He tried to go and was told by someone else who saw him in the hall that he needed to go back to his room and the cafeteria was closed. He went back and called my grandmother and told her what happened. I just happened to be there and told my grandmother lets go take him food. When we got there I spoke to the nurses about what happened and asked why didn't they give him a juice or something. They just gave excuses. His clothes would also seem to disappear, which was weird because my grandma does his laundry so the clothes should of never even been take out of his room. They recently removed the phones from the patients rooms. Which i found weird, seems like they removed them so the patients couldn't call their families members and say how poorly they were being taken care of. We have recently switched facilites and my grandpa and our family members are much happier now. Grandpa says he never wants to go back to Heritage. I definitely do not recommend this place for your loved ones. Also why is administration and Heritage employess on here giving 5 star reviews? I thought employees weren't suppose to do their own place of work reviews.

Experiencia negativa: So disappointed. I am praying for the administration and I pray that the CNAs who actually love and care for the residents are rewarded by God. And, yes there is yelling and screaming and negative talk about the residents. I have witnessed this negative behavior and have been a recipient of it. I have been mocked, laughed at, ignored, lied to, and if they treat me, a non-resident, this way, how are they treating the residents? Lord, I know you see everything, please intervene on behalf of those who are vulnerable because they are the apple of your eye.

Experiencia negativa: This used to be a decent place but the level of care has decreased substantially since new management or ownership took over. My father was here and all was good for a while. But recently staff has been neglecting him, he is almost blind so needs more assistance. Has fallen and hit himself because no one would come to assist when he called. Seems like administration doesn't care if you complain. Why wouldn't you try to make things better for your staff and patients? Luckily my family was able to move him. He is much happier at the new place. I would NOT recommend this place right now for your loved one. So sad to see because it used to be a decent place.

Experiencia negativa: Community support is provided by an individual who will befriend certain people and utilize them as moles and consider this malicious gossip as fact. The money is good but you will be stranded on an island and you will perish before this company supports you. When you bring a situation up more than twice and nothing is being done, just move on because itl hurt you before it ever hurts them. Its a shame.

Experiencia negativa: If you value the care and well being, of your loved one I would not recommend The Heritage. Most of the staff were not on top of patients needs. I spent so much money buying new clothing and socks because every time clothes were washed, they all seemed to get misplaced and no one had any answers. Many items went missing that I provided and there was never a reasonable explanation. Some of the nurses were kind - but the administration staff completely lacked and didn't seem to care about my concerns or dissatisfaction. So glad we were able to relocate.

Experiencia negativa: The full time staff is great , but the admin is very unyielding and thier rules on equipment and service to patients is unbendable. hate that I selected this place for my family.
