Experiencia positiva: Since the new nursing management has took over I have seen a 360 degree turn around in this place! The nursing staff is more diligently, responding to patients needs. The place is neat and clean. I haven’t noticed a smell., The few times I had visited my loved one my loved one hasn’t complained or said anything recently about the care. The environment is always happy and pleasant and I’m always greeted when I walk in..

Experiencia negativa: My father fighting with dementias has been at Irving Nursing and Rehab for 2 years.Over that time half his clothing has disappeared, he is often left in dirty clothes stained from his meals. I will have to change him when I visit. His stay is a private pay situation, and now without notice, they have raised his monthly rate by over $500. I only saw this because of the ACH withdrawal from my account. I called on Today to ask, was told the administrator would call me right back. Fast forward Friday, no call. I call again and get the same message. Finally hours after he calls and I ask him what happened, why the increase. He say they sent ou a notice in August. I let him know that was false and we never received any notice. I asked was it sent certified so they would know the message was received, and he said no. I told him that they can not just raise without speaking with the family. He said that no of the is his business, despite him being the administrator of the nursing home. I asked for a corporate contact and he said he would email it to me right away. Still advent got anything from him. I think its very scary when the man in charge of the nursing home is dodging calls, unable to speak about rates, and refuses to return any communication. Beware of this place, it is not a safe place for a loved one.

Experiencia fantástica: So my mother went to stay here for the for 3 or 4 months and the people here were great , the nurses took my mom in and cared for her and dealt with her like she was family My mom was a hand full , Cathy sat with my mom the day she passed because I didn't know and my mom didn't want me there when she did , Tom and sharina were great teresa was great , I don't have all the peoples names but the cooks made food for my special to eat even tho she couldn't swallow so that she could the taste in her mouth , the people cleaning the room didn't fuss about the mess my mom made they took care of my mom and me bcuz I've been an emotional wreck , they called me continuously everyday and the place was awesome, all in all i give them 10 stars . They ve called me multiple times since my mom passed to check on me ... it's an all around nice place , alot of compassion ... thank you everyone for trying to make my mother comfortable and dealing with her and her special needs ...God bless you all!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: My mother in law has been here for about two months. The staff have been very kind and professional. Tom the administrator is so helpful and so compassionate to the residents and my family. The food has been really good. She seems to enjoy the company of the other residents and has transitioned far better than we expected. Theresa is great and patient with explaining everything we needed with paperwork etc and answered all our questions. It’s a smaller facility which I like and it’s well maintained. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family.

Experiencia negativa: Staff with poor medical training, no interest in turning patients to prevent sacral decubitus ulcers, no understanding of aspiration precautions, and PT/OT without any real presence. It did have a bed in the room, though.

Experiencia fantástica: The nurses at Irving Nursing are taking very good care of my honey and all the other people there, too. They are kind, compassionate, professional and friendly. Irving Nursing is currently being renovated inside and out, and doesn't look run down anymore. If I ever have to go to a nursing home, I will definitely choose Irving Nursing and Rehab because it is only one story and small, not too big and fancy, and the food is great (they provide three meals a day).

Experiencia fantástica: Do not let the outside appearance of the building fool you, I was pleasantly surprised when i entered the building to see how clean and orderly everything was! The staff is very diligent in tending to the patients needs. All of my questions and concerns for admission of my family member were answered without ask. After only 30 minutes my family member was picked up by the staff and transferred to this facility in a very organized fashion. The entire staff, every director, every nurse, every team leader is extremely thoughtful and very helpful in every aspect. I know that my family member is receiving 24 hour care without question. I would recommend Irving nursing and rehab 100%! Thank you again for easing my mind, and helping us through this difficult time of change.

Experiencia positiva: Yes, the facility is old, and worn, but the people/staff do a really good job. Our mom has been there for 2 years, and no major issues. She is always clean, the bed always made, and the food appears good. To the guy concerned about door codes, the last thing you want is a person with dementia walking out and getting lost, then hurt or killed. If you see a problem, report it!!!! They like all other facilities get audited. The folks do the best they can with what they have Darrin

Experiencia negativa: I have a brother who is in here .... It is the most disgusting and disturbing place of care I have yet to see. The rooms are beat up and battered looking, broken doors, broken dresser's, broken and unmade bed's, and it's nasty to see one's urinal cup on patients ONLY table next to their bedside. When they move you, the dump all the personal belongings into a trash bag and leaves it in the closet floor. I have seen cockroaches pass the bedroom door and the smell of urine is simply overwhelming. The staff is rude and can care less of the patients. What a reality wake up call that NO ONE deserves to be dumped here. AND THE PICTURES OF THE ROOMS ARE DECEIVING, NOT ONE LOOKS LIKE THAT. THE OUTSIDE LOOKS LIKE A CONCENTRATION CAMP. SO VERY SAD THAT THIS TYPE OF PLACE EXISTS. RUN FAR FROM THIS PLACE.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a reply to Rodney Lightfoot ...perhaps if you had asked they would've educated you as to the reason for that. Any Healthcare Professional knows that this is a safety precaution in 98% of Nursing Homes to prevent elopement of residents especially the ones with Alzheimers and dementia. The ones that are Alert and able to take care of themselves probably have the code and are able to leave whenever...please try not to jump to conclusions in future a simple question would help you .

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVEONES TO THIS PLACE RUN!!! THE PEOPLE THERE ARE SO RUDE N VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I'M LOOKING TO MOVE MY GRANDMOTHER TO A NEW PLACE NOW.

Experiencia negativa: I have never had interaction with this facility, however at 9 pm tonight -while walking by I witnessed something disturbing from this facility. I saw a "nurse" enter a 4-5 digit code to unlock the front door from the inside. I understand security in, just not LOCKING IN ALL the elderly patients.

Experiencia negativa: I put my mother in law here. Teresa, the administrative person, is highly skilled and does a great job keeping up with everyone and everything. The building is old, but the level of care is outstanding. They keep the residents well fed, bathed, occupied and happy. All of the nurses and aids keep current awareness of everyone's needs and they take care of the people. Todd, the manager really cares and it shows. I have no complaints. The mother in law will remain there until the end. They take really food care of her needs. UPDATE: I placed my mother here and she had been neglected. She is still in the Hospital. This near death event = a no star rating. Horrible weekend nursing care. Run aeay from this place!!!!!
