Experiencia fantástica: I was debating on going for occupational therapy but I am glad my therapist Mar Convience me with her skills and her care to continue coming . I was unable to move my hand and thought it was over for me, I couldn’t even hold my elastic hair band 6 weeks ago I am moping my floors by myself with a little difficulty but a 360 from how I started. If you are reading this then you just founded the place to come I’f recommended by your doctor to go for therapy. Come to sportsmen’s in Jersey City and Bergen Ave

Experiencia fantástica: Ok…Chrissy and the girls at the front desk couldn’t be nicer, always with a warm welcome…Issra and Javar are true pros with a great welcome every time walking into the treatment room and are the “motors” that keep the place humming along and my appointments on time, for real on time! Vijay is a great Doc and makes receiving therapy much more bearable than I thought was ever possible. She always lets me know the plan for the day and what we are trying to accomplish which is nice. The whole team I can say makes a true effort to treat all of the patients as important. This is the first kind of recurring health/medical appointments I actually don’t mind having to go to multiple times per week. Five Stars, McGinley Square, Jersey City location very highly recommended.

Experiencia fantástica: I sent an online inquiry late one evening, and the next day, I was contacted by the super friendly staff who set me up with my initial PT appointment and verified my insurance for me. I was able to be seen just two days later for a lingering bicep tendon strain. Rodney was incredibly kind and thorough in his assessment; he used a form of deep tissue massage to the point where I was moving virtually pain free, showed me several exercises to do, complete with visuals so I could do them properly at home, and informed me that my insurance covers the additional services offered at the facility. Although he said I could likely rehab the rest at home, we made another appointment to see my progress and I plan to try out the acupuncturist as well. Can’t say enough good things about this place and my whole experience. Looking forward to getting back to my full exercise routine pain free thanks to their expertise!

Experiencia fantástica: Kind and competent staff! I'm going there for a wrist injury and symptoms of chronic illness (pain, fatigue, deconditioning), and am already seeing a difference. They've even got other kinds of therapy you may need to get better, like OT, chiro, and acupuncture too! I highly recommend them.

Dr. Toni Li took into immediate consideration my emotional, physical, and life style realities in order to assess my needs to create an effective and successful therapeutic journey. From day one the team at Sports Med have supported me with great care. Sheriff, Thalia, Johanna, Fern, Jenny, and Kenny as well as others have encouraged me through the physical and psychological challenges. When frustration sets in the staff remind me “it takes time”. When in my perspective I have made “tiny” steps forward with Dr. Li’s instruction , the staff members remind me of how far I’ve come along. At times just their cheering smiles makes a world of difference. The staff also maintains a high standard of cleanliness with Covid-19 protocols in place. This has been of great support to patients and the McGinley Square/ Journal Square community at large. Their empathy, dedication, and professionalism is experienced by many fellow patients.

Experiencia negativa: Sports Meds Physical Therapy: Tony is a such a GREAT Doctor, However, the receptionist are RUDE!! The Acupuncturist service is decent but the GUY didn’t offer a massage. In addition, the heated lamp didn’t work.

Experiencia negativa: I wish I could give this place no stars! Very shady with payment! They said they took my insurance, they don’t, then they charged me $800 dollars for a 1 hour physical therapy session!!!! I could NOT believe this!!!! This isn’t Manhattan and I’m not seeing the most desired therapist on the planet!!! Then I call them to discuss the payment and they say just pay $400!? I am soooo glad I only went here once! I can’t imagine the bill they would’ve thrown at me if I had come on a regular basis! Sounds like insurance fraud/scam! Beware of this horrible place! Btw, you can just go on YouTube and look up stretches, they don’t do anything special!
