Experiencia fantástica: I have seen Bridgette for multiple injures over the past 2 years at the Bannister location. I’ve been a runner for a long time and these injures kept me from that. Bridgette has known getting back to running is my goal pain free and has helped my confidence all at the same time. I bring her the smallest pain of mine and she manages to help me out no matter what. She’s always been there for me and is always willing to help me out and never seems to get tired of seeing me. I’ve seen multiple PTs and she’s one of the very best. I would recommend any of my family or friends to see her for ANY pain or injury needs.

She was so helpful with scheduling and aways a friendly presence. Bridgette is very knowledgeable and does a great job making sure you are pushing yourself within safe parameters. She is always willing to talk through any questions you might have and made me feel really comfortable and confident to work through the necessary PT. I would highly recommend this clinic.

Experiencia fantástica: I tore my ACL last April playing soccer. We heard great things about Matt Dobratz and F.I.T. in general so we gave them a call. Matt talked to me and my mom for an hour about how ACL’s are his passion and all his opinions on what I should do. I started my rehab a few days after surgery and it was a struggle for sure, but now after 10 months of working hard, I can confidently say that I am definitely stronger than before and going to be “better than before”. Experiencia fantástica: I was referred here by my doctor for a rotator-cuff injury and frozen shoulder that gave me limited ability of movement, preventing me from sleeping on my side and putting on clothes with a great deal of pain. After months therapy stretching and workout exercises from my therapist-trainer I have free mobility of movement again without pain and avoiding surgery. Thank you Bridgett!

Experiencia fantástica: I have had issues with my Achilles tendons for years. Stairs would aggravate them and eventually I developed tendinitis and ended up in a boot for basic walking support. After two month working with Bridgette, I have zero pain and can successfully climb multiple flights of stairs without issue. Thanks!

Experiencia fantástica: I had ACL surgery in September and a day later Bridgette called me to setup my physical therapy sessions. I had been to pt before but it was always very impersonal and detached. Here I felt like my sessions were about me and that I wasn't just another patient. My insurance changed a lot during my time here and they were always super helpful and understanding. Bridgette is upbeat and always pushing you to do better!

Experiencia fantástica: I have just completely 7 months of PT, 3 times a week with Bridgette Johnston, who holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. In November of 2021, a shattered my left leg in a fall, causing a compound fracture of my tibia and fibula. After 3 surgeries, the last in May, 2022, I came to F.I.T. to learn how to walk again. My final surgery involved 5 incisions (my wife dubbed it “Frankenfoot”), a titanium rod and a fused ankle. I rolled in to my first visit on a knee scooter. If you should ever be unfortunate to have such an injury - or any injury requiring PT - you couldn’t be luckier than to have Bridgette be your therapist. Our first session she told me, “By the time we’re done, we’re gonna be best buddies and you’re going to be jumping with this leg.” I had been to a few other physical therapists for comparatively minor injuries but Bridgette brought so much more knowledge of physiology than anyone before, plus an endless repertoire of exercises designed to to restore the flexibility and muscle loss I had experienced. It wasn’t just the same 5 exercises each visit; her expertise targeting every aspect of rehabilitating my leg and get the most movement possible out of an ankle that had considerable scar tissue and daily swelling. Over the course of our work together, she got more movement out of ankle than my surgeon expected, reduced my swelling considerably with her hands-on work, brought back my lost muscle through myriad exercises and helped me through transitioning out of knee scooter, shower chair, commode and various other appliances to walking as normally as possible after such a catastrophic injury (my surgeon said I was lucky I still had a foot). And we did become best buddies. Her warmth and compassion never failed as we laughed often together through our work. I can’t praise her enough. If you need a PT, look no further. And everyone at the Bannister Road location of F.I.T. is awesome and super-friendly. I also worked with Matt and a couple of interns who were all excellent and made me feel at home. The facility has everything needed and the front desk person, Delaney, is stellar. 10 out of 5 stars. Thank you, Bridgette, for all your help and hard work, and for helping me to live as normally as possible with Frankenfoot.

While we were bummed about missing the season with Bridgette’s help we were back on track in weeks. She’s very in tune with her clients giving them a push or adjusting treatment when needed. The front desk is always so kind and I enjoy my experience here. I couldn’t recommend a better place for a person to do PT. Athlete or not they work with what you’re trying to accomplish. My experience has been nothing but positive and I look forward to the coming months they’ll work with me. They’re extremely knowledgeable and are just as excited for you to accomplish your goals. Experiencia fantástica: Matthew Dobratz was extremely good at listening and working with me to achieve my goals. He helped me resolve an injury I got during marathon training which allowed me to make it the Boston marathon healthy. Couldn’t recommend him and this clinic more.

Experiencia fantástica: I have a disc injury and I have been in physical therapy for over than a year now. I recently got discharged because my body was doing well and children mercy didn't have much to offer anymore. I was seeking for this extra push in my body and wanting to gain muscle so I decided to check F.I.T out at homefield. (My coach recommended it, I also play for KCSG) I got partnered with Matt and it has been amazing since. I have been going for a while now and Matt makes the environment very comforting and intense. For a player like me I really enjoy this and love the environment because he didn't let my injury affect how he looks at me. If you are looking for a sports PT I would recommend coming here to work out!

The slogan on the wall reads "Better Than Before", and I truly feel that they have the knowledge, desire, and facilities to make that a reality. Let's face it, a lot of us that go here are recovering from a traumatic event, surgery, or injury of some sort. Experiencia fantástica: We had Matt with F.I.T. Muscle & Joint referred to us for Sports specific Physical Therapy and have been impressed with the results after just a handful of sessions. Its a bit of a drive for us, but worth every penny to help our daughter work out all her re-occurring aches and pains with volleyball. There are closer locations, but the Bannister location works best with all the workout equipment onsite, and the comfort level we feel specifically with Mr. Dobratz. I have coached youth sports for over 40 years, so truly appreciate what they do, and would recommend Matt to any of my athletes needing help or relief. WELL DONE!!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been seeing Bridgette for almost 3 months now for shin splints because friends specifically recommended her. Not only has Bridgette significantly helped with my shin splints, but she was able to easily identify some reasons they kept coming back. She has provided me with plenty of at-home exercises, and changes up the exercises she has me do in-office, so it doesn’t get boring. Every staff member I’ve come into contact with has been nothing short of friendly and helpful, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend F.I.T., and Bridgette specifically, for anyone looking for a physical therapist!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to FIT for physical therapy on my knee and bac for several weeks. First, the place is always very clean, which is paramount in a gym setting. In the reception area you will meet Grace, who is friendly and always helpful for any billing or scheduling issues I may have. Bridgette is in charge of my therapy, and she is great! If there are instances where an exercise or stretch is causing too much pain, she immediately knows alternatives to complete our objectives without further injury (or stopping altogether). Bridgette is very knowledgeable and works very hard to provide me with the care I need. Physical therapy is not easy following an injury and she definitely pushes me, which is exactly what is necessary. I highly recommend this facility for any post-injury therapy.

I am a (slow, recreational) runner who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis a couple years ago, underwent a hematopoietic stem cell transplant 1.5 years ago, and as a result have had plenty of atrophy and chronic spasticity from all that my neurological system and body has been through. The combination of techniques utilized by Matt, along with the education he provides, has changed my perspective on my future abilities. I no longer feel limited by the chronic pain, spasticity, and functional differences that occurred secondary to multiples sclerosis relapses. Instead, I have experienced less pain, less tightness, greater range of motion, and greater functional ability since beginning physical therapy here. I cannot speak a high enough praise to adequately express my gratitude for the service provided by Matt at F.I.T. MJC on Bannister Rd.
