They were challenging but doable. He was very generous with his time in answering my questions about the different exercises and how they worked to help me reach my goal for more range of motion and reduced pain. Experiencia fantástica: PT Solutions of Westport was the best place for me to get my hip back in shape and Lori was the absolute best physical therapist I could have asked for. I came to PT Solutions to rehab my hip. I had surgery back in October 2020 to repair a torn labrum and an impingement – I wasn’t living in Missouri at the time and went through a few months of post-surgery PT elsewhere. I felt good coming out of that, but once I tried to ramp up into running, I hit some setbacks and my at-home routine began to fall apart. It wasn’t until earlier this year that I returned to PT for the first time in about a year to try get my hip strength back to where it needed to be and I’m thankful that I wound up finding Lori at PT Solutions to guide me. My experience at PT Solutions was humbling, educational and motivating. Lori helped me see how I’d been cheating myself with my form and placed a strong emphasis on the fundamentals. Some of the exercises we focused on in my first couple of sessions were extremely rudimentary and admittedly I was a little skeptical after my initial visit. However, Lori had a plan in place for me from the get-go and once I realized how she was building me up from one visit to the next, I really appreciated my progress and how everything she was teaching me tied together. I’m glad I bought in because Lori helped me drastically improve my form to prevent “cheating” and pain. I always appreciated how she walked me through the “why” of each exercise she assigned to me and explained how it fit into the big picture of my rehab and post-rehab life. Seemingly inconsequential exercises in my early stages of PT helped me activate important muscles my body couldn’t even figure out how to tap into on its own. Lori established a great progression for me and was skillful at determining when to push me and when to have me take it easy. She also didn’t make me feel guilty if I missed a day of at-home exercises or struggled with an exercise away from PT. She helped me embrace the process. After a few months working with Lori, I left PT Solutions feeling confident in both the state of my hip and my ability to continue to implement what she taught me. Thanks to her expertise and support, I am now getting back into running and consistently doing lower body workouts, which include several strength exercises I wouldn’t even touch prior to my hip issues. My experience at PT Solutions was first-rate. The facility is spacious and clean and possessed all of the equipment I needed. Lori was extremely personable and did a great job giving me one-on-one attention, while also giving me space to try exercises on my own to help build up my confidence. From an administrative standpoint, PT Solutions made everything stress-free. Casey was always friendly and helpful and there was a lot of flexibility with scheduling to accommodate my work hours. I’m extremely thankful for Lori and Casey and should I ever have the need to return to physical therapy, it will absolutely be at PT Solutions.

I was being sent to another physical therapist (for 9+wks) and was making ZERO progress, my surgeon had even ordered an MRI to make sure that my shoulder surgery was successful…. After 6 visits to PT Solutions, I showed vast improvement and after 11 visits I was cleared 100% to go back to work! Thank you so much Lori !!

I went in to see what they could do and Lori helped give me the knowledge and confidence I needed to start strength training. I was nervous to do certain exercises on my own because I thought I was going to damage something in my back. I have no started going to a gym and working out on my own. She has given me the thumbs up that I know enough to fly the coop. I can go accomplish things on my own and I feel confident to do so. Let's now forget the man behind the desk, Kasey (sorry if I spelt that wrong). He was always a joy to talk to. I am going to miss my visits at PT Solutions but I know that whenever I have a question I can call and ask without any stress. I highly recommend them for all your physical therapy needs

Experiencia fantástica: Perhaps the best in town. Lori Hogan was recommended to me by my friend who is herself a Physical Therapist. That's high praise. Lori is highly experienced and for sure she knows her stuff. But more than that, she helps you understand the why & how of the work she has you doing. She is focused on doing the right thing in the right way. It would be worth driving quite a ways to have her supervise your treatment.

Lori is very knowledgeable and patient when explaining how your body works so you can learn the skills to keep your body in shape on your own. I recommend dry needling treatment if it is offered to you for your specific issues, as it helped a lot for my issues re: neck pain and headaches. The gym was always clean as well. When I first came in I was doubtful I would get better but I'm thrilled to say I noticed great improvement over my time there, and now I have the confidence and knowledge to continue healing on my own.

Experiencia fantástica: I had problems with my back. I called, they got me in within a day or so. Casey is awesome. You will need a prescription I think.. Lori's technique is so different than any other physical therapist I have worked with. She is very realistic and actually gives you the tools you need to adapt to any situation. Her techniques also strengthened my core and stopped my back pain. That was worth everything.

Experiencia fantástica: This place is fantastic. If you are unfortunate enough to be rehabbing from an injury or suffering from chronic back pain such as I am, this is the place that you want to be. Lori takes the time to understand your issue and to customize a therapeutic routine that focuses on your specific needs. She is great at motivating you and keeping you focused on your goals. Emma is a delight to work with when scheduling appointments and such, as well as assisting Lori from time to time with therapies. The place is very clean and bright and Lori and Emma create a very relaxing feel to this environment that makes focusing on your recovery a bit easier. They make you feel as if they really care about your well being. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who finds themselves in need of PT.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a pelvic fracture early Sept. of 2019. I was in bed for a full month. After that I started with PT Solutions. I was never a wonder women to begin with. I just wanted to get back to the bike riding. I had a freak bike accident that caused the fracture. Emma Dougherty was my scheduler and she was a delight to work with. She made setting up/switching appointments easy-peasy. Lori Hogan was my therapist. She knew the specific targeted exercises needed to move me along. It was hard work. I had muscles I needed to move that my brain at first just could not make move correctly or at all. She knew how to break exercises down to their simplest measure so I got the hang of it. I felt like this was moving initially at a snail's pace...however, by the end I was in better shape than I had ever been. I gave it all I had while I was at the facility and did the homework she wanted. It just takes time with our bodies. Lori's demeanor is pleasant, interactive with others and the atmosphere a very open social exchange that made my appointment time pass fast. At times I was actually laughing so much it was impossible to do the exercises given. Emma and Lori are just genuinely nice people. Lori is particularly good at pointing out what form to use and how to get there to make the most of the exercises so you are moving forward as fast as you can. Everyone is different. Yet, Lori has a style and protocol to help all age brackets that I witnessed come in the door moving forward. I also need to mention that water was an important part of therapy. I always had water and plenty of it to drink. I have always had to work on this. Their attention to this detail assured me that I had it handy to make the most of my effort there. And a little about the facility. It was very open/airy and even when Lori had multiple appointments going at once. I never felt crowded next to anyone. Nor did I wait for my next step or feel neglected at any time. She is very good at multitasking with more than one patient at a time. The place was exceptionally clean too. No, "gym" smell or antiseptic smell either. It was just odorless and pleasant. I certainly sweated enough to be the odor problem in the area. The cleanliness I learned is their steadfast follow up with disinfectant wipes and clean linens. There are also plenty of tissues for those like myself that seem to have a runny nose when I exercise hard. Also handy are the disinfectant hand solutions. I was sure to use those several times as I move across equipment areas. I witnesses a patient that kept an appointment time though clearly not up for the challenge with a chest /cold condition. Lori handled it professionally never once indicating that it was a bad idea for her to have come. She gave the patient much easier exercises and released the customer early. You could tell the patient really wanted to do her part for therapy. Lori gave further comments of encouragement before that patient left. Then an open discussion occurred as I watched the team (Emma and Lori) disinfect the whole area. Lori limited the protocol for this customer for two reasons. It was evident the patient was clearly struggling already and wise to let the condition heal before adding more stress to that patients condition. But, wise Lori, worried about the spread of germs to other equipment and maybe other people too. It was just a general conversation that struck a good accord with me. Sound reasoning and health consciousness that made me feel good about my choice in being there. Lori worked with my doctor to determine how long therapy lasted and it was at the correct stage when the doctor released me. I did not feel like my insurance system was maxed out to benefit this PT company either. That is a nice feeling in today's world. Lori gave me a list of at home exercises too, etc. to keep me in good standing since I am not the gym membership type. I think this service did all they were expected to do for me and more. I will actually miss my time there. I was very impressed with this source of healing and strengthening!!
