Experiencia negativa: I consulted with Tamara Crawford about my lupus and tachycardia syndrome, both confirmed by reputable rheumatologists and cardiologists. She disregarded my health issues and inaccurately noted in my medical records that my visit was related to "symptoms associated with mental health." My two diagnoses are directly linked to my physical symptoms, and I have never approached her for mental health concerns. It is alarming that a licensed medical professional would misrepresent my health records in this manner. I should have anticipated this outcome, as my previous visit regarding a skin irritation from an allergic reaction resulted in her suggesting I seek therapy instead of addressing the actual issue. Tamara appears disinterested in patient care, consistently attributing all concerns to mental health.

Experiencia fantástica: I was scared because of the reviews of this place but after going I met very kind staff, and attentive and caring doctors. Everyone was very personable, and I enjoyed the atmosphere of a not super stuck up / serious doctors office. That actually matters a lot to me. They were not only kind to me, but from what I could hear of other patients conversations as well. Front office and doctors are people too, and have relation to the military as well so you know they’ve been through it. Be nice to your doctors and staff! They were so kind.. nothing like these reviews say.

Experiencia negativa: My family and I have been utilizing this medical facility for many years, and unfortunately, we have encountered the same recurring issues throughout that time. One of the main problems has been the poor communication, or often the complete absence of it. My family and I have experienced numerous changes in Primary Care Managers (PCMs) over the years, and typically, the new PCM is unfamiliar with our medical history, relying on information gathered by the screening nurse during appointments. Usually we have to repeatedly provide the information and background to each new PCM, which has been quite frustrating. Our overall experience with this facility has been disappointing, particularly due to delays in receiving medical care caused by inadequate communication. These delays have sometimes stretched from several weeks to even months. The communication breakdown has persisted for many years in my experience. It becomes even more challenging when the PCM or nurse appears annoyed and exhibits a negative attitude. We often feel rushed, and our questions are either dismissed or inadequately addressed, leaving my family and me feeling unheard, undervalued, and neglected. Feeling unheard has led to my family and I receiving inadequate information, which has ultimately resulted in increased pain and discomfort for us. This lack of proper guidance has also contributed to further delays in obtaining the necessary treatment we needed in a reasonable, timely manner.

Experiencia negativa: They do not answer the phone or return calls I left countless of voice mails. I’m not sure if they’re short staffed or what but they need to hire someone JUST TO ANSWER THE PHONE if the front desk people are too busy too. My brother goes here and I needed a transfer of care because he moved with me and he has seizures and I needed to figure out how can I do this before he runs out of his medication. Because I know how the medical field takes forever to do things. Now I don’t know what to do. But I guess I’ll have to figure it out on my own. We had an appointment with a specialist but the DR. Clark didn’t send over a referral so he couldn’t get everything he needed when he moved down here to the dfw area so I couldn’t keep going back and forth to drive to Killeen from the dfw so I needed a transfer of care and maybe some instructions on how to do that but no, I can’t even get someone on the phone . People don’t know how to do everything, people are not always well versed in medical terminology or the structure of it that’s why you need to ANSWER THE DAMN PHONE so we I can figure out how to make sure my brother still has his medication . Because guess what happens when he runs out ? Oh he has his seizures. Thanks for being the worst clinic I’ve ever had to deal with , oh I’m sorry let me correct myself … NEVER GOT TO DESL WITH. Because nobody answers the DAMN PHONE

Experiencia negativa: I was given my lab results over the phone and it was with some fill-in nurse/doc that was very condescending and just so impatient with me. It was bad enough that the results were not the greatest, I didn’t need her to make it worse with her attitude

Experiencia positiva: Front desk has been friendly, however, they are absolutely awful with answering the phones. That alone for me is 1 star. I should not have to resort to MHS portal or my providers nurses to schedule an appointment. BUT, I absolutely love my provider, NP Beaty. She’s been thorough with all my appointments, addresses my concerns, responds to all my messages through the portal, and is very nice. I have zero complaints with my care from her and the nurses she works with.

Experiencia negativa: I'm assigned to this place although I tried getting another PCM! Rarely can you get a same day appointment, zero communication from the back of house to the front. Stuck with whoever you can get in with!

Experiencia negativa: Once your able to make an appointment everything is fine however it’s like jumping no through hoops to get one. I called for a week no answer the recording always says an operator is not available no matter the time or day I call and I leave messages and get no response. Very frustrating.

Experiencia negativa: This clinic has nurses that are very rude. Very curt and interrupting during intake. The lab and pharmacy personnel are good. The doctor I saw was okay. But the nurses here act like they are doctors or make decisions. It's very annoying. I recommend for people to file ICE complaints if you ever have issues.

Experiencia negativa: My family member was seen in this clinic on April 11, 2023 regarding mental health medicine refills for in between changing psychiatrist's. My family member suffers a very complex , extreme mental condition that requires a precise medicine plan & that is NOT up for negotiation, NO exceptions!! I hand carried the packet from the prior psychiatrist, and it was reviewed by the Killeen Medical home PCM on April 11, 2023 . I later discovered that one of the medicine's given to my family member was not the correct dosage or quantity . It was NOT OK to begin with to give the patient the wrong prescription , however , I simply addressed the issue at the front desk & politely asked could the doctor please send the correct medication through the pharmacy today ? The response in connection with the request was I would have to schedule another appointment & the doctor stated she doesn't " start" anyone on the dosage the patient clearly had already been on according to the patient's record by his prior psychiatrist she absolutely read it in black & white . This sent the message to me first off, one giant big fu*k you indirectly to my face , and the staff in there will do as they please . This is obviously not only wreckless & failure to properly care for my family member, so how much does he really need to continue to return to this clinic & doctor!?!? I do not need shown a second time that my family member's condition & well being is zero regard for . If this is how this staff & clinic handle's patients needs , then it's crystal clear this place needs shut down and all of this is clearly unacceptable!

Experiencia positiva: When you dial the main number, it goes straight to voice-mail or disconnects. They are good at returning phone calls. The staff is professional and kind. The visits are quick. Doctor Darrow is my PCP and very knowledgeable/kind. She always makes my visits enjoyable.

Experiencia fantástica: I honestly do not know what others mean when they say this place is either rude or bad. As soon as i walked in, i had no idea what to do, so i walked to reception. I apologized profusely about how i am new to everything and for bothering her. She was so warm and welcoming, laughing ( i am awkward like that) with me about how i wasn't a bother. She walked me through the process and helped me get set up. I had Ruben (Rubin?) as my nurse both times I have visited, not only did he remember me the second visit but being a nervous talker I am, he was more than happy to talk with me and laugh with me over my fear of the doctors and random stuff to get my anxiety down. He is so easy to talk with, and during a medical procedure, he even lets me squeeze his hand from fear/pain. He was an absolute rock for me, and I hope every time I visit that, he'll be my nurse. My latest visit was to get my IUD replaced, and i think I had doctor Darrow? She was absolutely professional. Walked me through the process, answered any questions or concerns I had, and even tried the process without the clamp portion, which was what I was mainly worried about. I love this place. Being fearful of doctors has taken over my health life, but after visiting Killeen Medical Home, I have taken a turn and feel way more comfortable than I ever thought I would be doctors and nurses. If I could give more stars, I would. Thank you, everyone, for taking care of me

Experiencia negativa: January 11, 2023 Today was my son’s appointment @(8:20am)with NP Beaty at this location. When I say that I dread coming to this place I really mean it. I mean if could give a negative ⭐️ I would believe me. I don’t know why this place is still open with so much negative comments about them. Note: my son’s name is Eizen as in Eisenhower. While we’re waiting in the waiting area, one of nurse which I don’t know her name and who’s doctor is she assigned to because she didn’t introduce herself. She’s black a lady with braids. Which I’m assuming she’s assigned to Beaty came out calling a name sounds like she’s saying ezawn. She says Ezawn again looking around so I said is it Eizen she said no. she walks around the waiting room saying that she doesn’t see anybody. Calling out the name again Ezawn. But then she looks at me so I asked again is it Eizen she said no. I’m like ok. But then she walks towards me and said what’s the last name so i told her our last names she said no again and walks away. She came back again and said what’s the last name again so I told her our last name and she goes oh is it about the eye. I’m like what do you mean she goes oh that’s him. While following her to the room she looks like she’s upset which I dont really know why. She never made eye contact nor introduced herself. She walked In front of us so fast and stopped at the room pull out the marker on the door don’t say anything and so my son and I were just standing there waiting for her to say you can go inside now. She doesn’t say anything so we just walked in. She went straight to the computer and told my son with kind of a frustration in her voice take off your shoes and step on the scale. She didn’t even apologize until she was on her way out the door she turn around and said I’m really sorry about the name I really didn’t think about the last name. What?? I mean it’s no big deal we get it all the time people miss pronouncing our name but just don’t keep on insisting that your right when your so wrong and then get mad and be rude to us. Absolutely ridiculous!! Feb 8, 2023 Today, I was suppose to have a virtual appointment with Ms. Kathryn Beaty nurse practitioner at this location. Last week Tuesday January 31, 2023 I received two separate phone calls from two nurses which was very clearly explained to me that my appointment was canceled due to the clinic being close tomorrow due to the weather. It was explained to me that Rescheduled appointment was going to be virtual. I not once but twice reassured the two nurses that this is a virtual appointment they said yes. The doctor will let you know if you need to come in or not. Today my appointment was supposed to be at 9:20. I sat here in my home waiting and waiting patiently. Did not receive any call. I called the clinic at 10:30, talked to a lady name Heather asking about my appointment. Shame came back and said that I was suppose to go in the clinic for this appointment. And then she said for me to go in tomorrow at 1:30pm. Anyway i I have had so much trouble coming to this clinic and so so this was the last straw. My son and I are changing our PCM. I’m never ever coming back to this place.

Experiencia negativa: No one EVER answers a phone. They are rude. No one knows how to smile in that place. They send you to rooms and don’t show you where it is. The Lab Tech Lugo-Smith is rude as can be. Rolled her eyes when I asked questions. Just unorganized and very stressful to go there. I’m switching clinics. This is crazy.

Experiencia negativa: I went to Killeen medical home to get on Birth control. They did my consultation but they forgot about my urine test. I will take some of the blame for that bc I was concerned about my son and I was telling them the issue so we got distracted with that. The nurse called me the next day asking me to come in at 1 the following day to do it. I get a call the next day saying nevermind the lab is closing at 11 for training but it was already 10: 45 so it was too late. I tried calling other places to get on Birth control but no one was open on the weekends. I called multiple times trying to call the nurse back in regards as to when I should come in but I kept getting voicemails

Experiencia negativa: The nurse is nice whenever I speak with him and so was NP Clark. HOWEVER, the front desk was so rude (I think she said her name was Heather) I called and said I was calling the nurse back regarding a voicemail I received from him. She was extremely curt and said “the nurses are on lunch from noon to one!” As if I’m supposed to know all their hours as a new patient. Super unprofessional and lacking common courtesy. I can’t even imagine acting like that at a job I get paid to do. I left 2 stars because when you call an office the first interaction you have is with the person answering the phone. This can majorly effect their business and they need to be aware of it.

Experiencia negativa: You guys need to stop changing doctors every freaking year or 2 years this is ridiculous I change 5 doctors from 2016 I start to tell the story of my health until she send me to do labs more investigation the doctor change then I need to tell the next doctor my story in 10-15 minutes I must write on paper to not forget and this is keep going on and on and they don’t even have and idea about you at least read quick the history of the patient And now they don’t even call to let you know about your results, you must stay on top of them otherwise you forgotten.

I can’t keep doing this back and forth in pain for two years, Hand brace does not work but only for so long. I need surgery for my Carpel tunnel! All they ever want do is send you to Therapy and give you medication to knock you out, that it!! Still have no info on nerve specialist to fix the problem..

Experiencia negativa: The staff was mostly nice when it came to interacting with. I wouldn't recommend this facility for the simple fact the one of the doctors practicing here was extremely rude and felt the need to lecture me after making me cry on more then one occasion. Didn't care to listen to my issues and brushed it off as something else like I was stuff and didn't know my own body. No one deserves to feel less then.

Experiencia fantástica: Had a well womens exam with NP Clark and Nurse Jackie and they were awesome. NP Clark explained what she was doing and why during my whole visit. They both were very knowledgeable,polite, welcoming, professional and comforting. If you dont like clinics or hospitals like me, this experience definitely changed my mindset and made me feel more at ease. So I thank you ladies and appreciate what you do.

Experiencia fantástica: We have seen Dr. Kimberly Russell (and Dr. Marcia Turley before her) since her arrival at the clinic and we LOVE her. She is professional, knowledgeable, understanding, and she listens to us. We always get quick responses to online emails and prescription requests. We’ve also had great experiences with the nursing staff at Killeen Medical Home. Absolutely no complaints from us!

Experiencia negativa: I had a appointment at 11:30a.m on June 1,2021. I walked up to the check-in desk and the lady said I was all checked in and would let the nurse know I was there. I waited one hour until 12:30p.m and nobody walked up to me and told me anything. I finally got tired of waiting and walked back up to the check in desk and told the receptionist that I just want to cancel my appointment. After I get home they called me back saying there was something wrong with their computer and I was not even checked in. Why couldn't somebody just tell me that instead of having me wait for a whole hour. Totally unaccetable

Experiencia negativa: This is the worst medical home. They rarely answer the phone and you have to go back and forth with them until they get it right. They tried to switch my prescription without telling me as well. This happened about a month ago and I'm still dealing with it. For some reason, my refill prescription was still coming from my old doctor and when I saw it was paused pending doctor's approval, I called Express Scripts and they told me to contact Killeen Medical home to get it taken care of. Although I had been to multiple appointments with my doctor, Dr. Clark, and explained to her and the nurse what medication I take, they acted as if they never heard of my medication. After explaining it to them, they said I could come up to the medical home (I normally do mail refills) and pickup my prescription. When I received my prescription, the label said what I normally take but the actual medication was something completely different. When I told them this is not what I take, they took me to the Pharmacy area and they acted so confused. I had to pull up a picture on Google to show them what I take. As I waited, I could hear them talking to Dr. Clark on the phone. I heard her say "oh yeah she does take 10ml not 20ml" (which is the amount they tried to give me). They finally just told me they don't carry the kind of medication I take and told me to go to an off post Pharmacy to get my prescription and they will put into Express scripts to continue my refills through the mail. Well a week later, I received some random medication I had never heard of or taken before. I call Express scripts again and they tell me that's what my doctor put in for them to send me. I asked it this just like a generic version and they explained that it's not, it's actually I higher dosage medication. So I called Killeen Medical home again and of course they didn't pickup. I emailed them, no response. I kept calling until they finally picked and I explained to them again that I take a specific low dosage medication. After going back and forth they finally put in the right prescription to Express scripts but now I'm being charged for that random medication that was sent to me. Even though I had no knowledge of the prescription being put in for me and I did not take it (I was told to take it to a pharmacy to be disposed) I still have to pay for it. I have to pay for a mess up Dr. Clark made. Of course Killeen Medical home is acting as if they don't know what to do and they can't do anything. If you get medication for this place, make sure it's actually what you take.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT GO THERE You have to go online for everything . It’s very frustrating . Usually clinics will call you and set up an appointment once they have your results but they don’t ... you have to reach out to them and they don’t respond immediately . If you have serious concerns about your health go to a clinic that does next day or same day results

Experiencia negativa: My Family and I just moved here and we tried to pick up medicine from this location. First off the lady (Jackie) at the front entrance lacked customer service skills and was very rude. I’m guessing she was tired of having to answer the same questions but that’s probably part of her job description. I understand things have changed since COVID-19 but for her to have the attitude she had is unacceptable specially since she is the direct reflection of the Killeen medical home since she is the first person people see when they walk in. I’d rather take my chances on post rather than having the con own s of coming to this location. First impressions are everything and based of that experience I wouldn’t recommend coming back to this location for my PCM.

Experiencia negativa: Tried to pick up prescriptions at 4:50 pm. Door was locked. The staff walked out right by me and said nothing. So I guess if you work during the day and try and get your prescriptions after you get off you are out of luck.

Experiencia negativa: Do not pick up meds from here! My Doctor put my prescription in this morning and I have been seating here for over an hour waiting and people that came after us are getting theirs! Their system is completely broken!!
