Experiencia fantástica: I’m a new patient. Had a doctors appointment today at 11:00. The nurse who took my weight and blood pressure was very nice and professional. Dr. Alvin Guerra and I think his student assistant were very nice and professional. They took the time to explain my needs and they were very helpful.

Experiencia negativa: Our experience at Baylor Scott and White was subpar. We left home at 2:30 to make our 4:00 appointment for our 9-month-old daughter but were delayed by traffic between Belton/Temple on I-35. After notifying the clinic of our expected 4:12 arrival, we were advised that our appointment was discretionary after 4:10. Upon arrival, we were kept waiting while the receptionists chatted. Ultimately, Dr. Coles had departed at 4:00 or earlier, resulting in our appointment cancellation. I find it questionable for a doctor to leave before seeing all scheduled patients. While acknowledging our delay despite timely departure, Dr. Coles' actions and Baylor Scott and White's policies demonstrated a lack of professionalism.

Experiencia negativa: Had an appointment with them through the VES and it was paid for by the VES but I am still receiving bills from them trying to get me to pay more money (this is insurance fraud) do not recommend going here as they are money hungry and scummy

Experiencia negativa: This clinic offers neither heat from fire, nor fire from heat. - My primary care provider is retiring, so I had to find a new primary care physician. Luckily, I had already been looking for one closer to my new address, because my appointment was only about two months out from when I scheduled it. - I had my medical records transferred beforehand, which gave them plenty of time to not have them even weeks after the appointment, allowing me the opportunity to enjoy the repetitive hold music at their medical records department for as long as I wanted, without the pesky interruption of being connected with a person. - My favorite part of my medical experience, however, was when I told them about a very basic medical problem I had already been managing with my previous primary care physician, and they decided it merited referring me to their endocrinology department, which they assured me was definitely probably as close as Temple. It was only about two weeks after my appointment that I was then called and informed that their endocrinology department, and I quote, "does not see male patients." I decided not to try to plumb the depths of that mystery too far. The search continues! I especially look forward to being reassured by a bot that my feedback is very important to this organization.

Experiencia negativa: Not only did they blow my vein the first time filling a collection tube but they fished for the vein( move needle around while it’s in the arm to regain the vain) and of course felt them push through the vein. When removing they didn’t remove the blue constriction band. They used a butterfly needle(much smaller) for collection maybe an inch above previous stick spot and even that left a bruise without rubbing alcohol pad first and I didn’t realize until later. Will not be returning for future care of any sort.

Experiencia negativa: Mary Clark, showed no compassion for my situation and just wanted to get me out of the room as quick as possible. I didn’t realize i booked my appointment with her again, and when she came in i was filled with disappointment and anxiety. The way she talks it’s like she’s miserable to be there doing her job. I’ve been very desperate to get a solution to my on going health issue and when i was talking to her it’s like she was just miserable and she was very hostile the entire time helping me. i felt so uncomfortable and worse just talking to her then before i came in. arnt doctors and practitioners supposed to make the appointment as comfortable and safe for their clients as possible, while being as helpful as they can. The lady with brown hair and a blood shot red face that helped me schedule with a specialist almost smelt as bad as her additiude, Again i felt so uncomfortable and like i was bothering her. But seriously take a shower before you head in for the day. I should not smell you from 5 feet away. The doctors in central texas over all hate their lives, and don’t give a damn about you. I’m prepared to start driving to dallas everytime i need help

To boot if you show them in a good way they are at fault for not getting your appt right they claim you are rude … Just awful…I worked for many years as a clinic coordinator and by far this place needs a more caring medical and office staff . - 10 the worst .

Experiencia negativa: I’ve checked in on time for all of my appointments in the past and I’ve even had to wait past my appointment time no complaints. Today I had an appointment at 1:40 I called to let them know I’d be running late due to work they said if I make it past 1:50 it would be up to the provider. Although the lady in the front was professional she didn’t take the initiative to help at all. I got to the desk literally at 1:51 and mentioned what I was told over the phone, she stated they don’t ask the provider at that office. Not to mention there was no one in the lobby. I understand protocol but I wish I was shown a little more compassion. Seems like people don’t like to go the extra mile anymore. Especially in the medical field.

Experiencia negativa: Had an appt scheduled only to tell us to come back after in two hours, came back and the doctor seeing my child was still not in so I decided not to see the doctor at all. Total hours spent -3hrs. I hate bsw - everyone does.

Experiencia negativa: I took my daughter to an appointment ( well child when she was 18) , Time frame of March 2023 . Our insurance is in network, we paid our copay and later received a lab bill of $3 and some change. We paid that. On 1 Feb 2024 my daughter's gets a bill for $109.00 and some change that insurance didn't pay. My insurance GEHA Standard is in network and S&W is supposed to accept that amount but they refuse. We as a family will avoid any dealings with S&W.

Set appointment for day off show up at clinic person I had appointment with is now in coppers cove. Was told it’s on the app. I’m 62 I don’t look at address when making appointment. Now I have a problem with not getting antibiotics for what’s going on. The women up front have no compassion. We can give you an appointment for later today. My appointment was at 9 am for a reason. I’m over this place. Dr never gives me answers just more tests.

Experiencia negativa: Dr Joseph as ALWAYS gives the best care. So five⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐s for Dr. Joseph. The intake nurse was a less then 1 if it was possible. Deborah has a terrible bedside manner. She DOES NOT need to be working with patients. Get another job Deborah where you don't have to be bothered by patients. You're terrible at your job.

Experiencia negativa: You stand in line at this click for a minimum of 10 minutes. When you finally get to the front desk they don’t want to check you in because you’re late…. Bc you have been standing in the line! You can’t be late but they can take their time getting you to the back and making you wait on the doctor.The receptionist Kadijha M acted as tho my daughter being a patient was a problem! She had a problem with my insurance and giving my daughter a work note! Literally HATE this place. It’s a problem EVERY SINGLE TIME!

Experiencia fantástica: A couple of weeks ago I was having a super hard time getting my daughter seen is pediatric I had been to the hospital with her 2 times in 24 hrs (Seaton) and they treated my baby as if she basically wasn't there so I left and the next day I had to fight to get her in so NURSE JASMINE and NURSE VALARIE in pediatrics literally went Way Above and beyond to get my daughter Admitted in the the Children's ER (Mclanes Children's) & when I tell you if it wasn't for these 2 Nurses going out of there way to do more then there job I might not have My Baby right now words can literally not express how grateful I am for these 2 Nurses basically saving my daughters life I will always be truly grateful for people as such who go above and beyond for estatic over reacting scared paret as such as I was we had a follow up vist after a few days hospital stay and again these 2 Nurses came in out of there way to see the baby that they were just as worried about as I was the fact that they were checking on my baby like it was there child as well really made me almost cry I seriously couldn't have asked for 2 better nurse's to have gotten my phone call a couple weeks ago Thank You Ladies I am TRULY GRATEFUL FOR YOU

Experiencia fantástica: I have been a Patient for many years. Every Dr is Different, but all have given me quality care. You have Mychart to directly communicate, and get a message to your Dr, test,etc all available to you. I've seen different Drs, but my Primary is Dr Odi. I don't focus a lot on Drs Personality, but quality of care, and that all my Medical needs are taken care of. The staff are very friendly, and do things in an orderly manner. I feel welcomed by the staff.

I have always use the BSW app to schedule my appointments because of the convenience of looking at the calendar and finding a date that works best without having to go back and forth on the phone with the office. At every single other BSW office I have never had any problems scheduling on the app until I tried scheduling at this office. I scheduled with 1 of their providers the shows on the app they ARE accepting patients and they call and tell me that provider is not accepting patients. Fine, I had second preferences. So I go on and select another provider here that shows specifically that they ARE accepting patients and the app allowed me to schedule and I get another call saying that provider is also not accepting patients as well. Come on BSW Killeen Clinic ALL the other BSW offices can keep their availability updated on the app how hard can it be?! At other locations so many providers will show they are not accepting patients and it will block you from making appointments on the app. Seriously get it together, if you’re going to allow scheduling on the app at least do your job and update it. Will be choosing another more reliable office.

Experiencia negativa: If I could leave a zero I would. This is the worst medical system in TEXAS. Providers do not give a rip what happens to you. They are rude and have zero care nor concern for your well being. No communication and no way to send communication other than that worthless mychart. Which no one ever responds. The ONLY thing important to them is collecting your money. Oh and good luck getting an appointment booked months out. Hope u never have to deal w this location. Corbett is the rudest provider I've encountered in a long long time. Now that I have rid myself of Scott and white insurance I'm no longer going anywhere near heights, Killeen nor temple. I'll drive 2 hrs to ATX to see providers who ate worth the time of day. That is that on that. Be warned. This is only for harker heights location!!!

Most visits will end the same, without a diagnosis of your illness, without a referral to a competent doctor who has the ability to diagnose your illness. Patient safety is disregarded, and you may be denied proper medical treatment, which is a criminal offense.

Experiencia negativa: So I go see my Dr and get labs done. 1 year later I go to see a Dr because I have pain in my feet. Come to fi d out, I have diabetes and these people NEVER contacted me with that diagnosis! If that's not the most negligent thing! Gotta looks into statute of limitations on this one. These people are the worst about communicating with patients. They expect you to do all the work, but they definitely want their money.

Experiencia negativa: Scott and White expects their patients to be psychic. Their lack of communication is extremely upsetting. I have been waiting 5 months to hear back about referrals. Finally, after contacting a few people over the past months, someone sent me a message on MyChart saying that another Dr had to be the one to send the referrals. Did they contact that Dr? No. Did they contact me 5 months ago to let me know? Of course not. Somehow I was just supposed to know what was going on without being told. I would highly suggest avoiding Scott and White.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been using this clinic for MANY years now and they are great! Dr Fritz and his staff are always very friendly and attentive during my visits. He has been my PCP for over 20 years. He actually delivered my son who is now 24 years old and took the time to mail the birth announcement to me from the newspaper. I didn't have a copy, so I was truly appreciative. It's the personal touch that makes the difference to me. For my last few visits, I have seen Dr Rivers, who from my understanding is on the same team. She is AWESOME!! She is so personable and very attentive! She is also very thorough, which I really appreciate. She gives her undivided attention and is very engaging when obtaining details during the visit. I am very thankful for all of her assistance these past few months in referring me as needed to other areas, etc. She made a very stressful situation so easy! I will continue to go to this clinic as long as these wonderful doctors are there!!

Experiencia positiva: Had a bad experience through the phone with a representative of Scott and White Clinic, will give them 3 stars because this call doesn’t determine my full experience.They rescheduled me 3 times and although I provided my phone number, they continued to call a different number and cancel my appointments. She continued to blame me for providing the “wrong number.” I am not sure who I had on the phone, but I was not satisfied with their customer service.

I have a lot of health issues & she is such a great NPA & very knowledgeable & has helped me so much with my health issues. I can't thank her enough for the help & also the knowledge she's given me. Best I've gotten in my 43 years!! Thank you so very much NPA Jamie Johnson-Varnado. Her staff is also awesome! I can't forget about them!

Experiencia negativa: Horrible experience. Not only did my doctor not take my mental health not serious at all, while I’m sitting here crying telling him I’m not ok. It took forever to even get me in. THEN I get here at my schedules time and they say you should have been here 30 minutes earlier. NO ONE EVER told me that. So now I have to find another counselor to even give me medicine for my mental health. I wouldn’t recommend this clinic at all

Experiencia negativa: So disappointed in the mental health department. As a patient who suffers from mental disabilities I was treated so poorly the day of my appointment. I reached out in the midst of severe depression. I appeared in the office distressed and was turned away by Dr. Dean Kevin Paret. I was prompted to arrive 30 minutes prior to apt. And did however I checked in using the self check in not knowing there was paper work to be filled out and that self check in wasn't a feasible method. After checking in was advised that he would not see me and was sent to the problem solving group for "missed appointments". I'm blessed to be more in control the. Some others however situations in the world occur and distressed mental patients are turned away instead of being evaluated and treated accordingly and when these patients act out they get all kinds of backlash and called names whenever they try to seek medical attention and are turned away. As a mental healthcare provider he done a horrible job observing my body language, cut marks, outbursts and more. He didn't even advise me to go to the ER if I was having bad thoughts. I think Scott and white needs to pay better attention to their mental health patients or close down their mental health department and stop giving false hope. I don't believe a person with such disability should be sent to a group for missing appointments I understand their should be some sort of repercussion however... 24 hours of cancellation are required had I showed up with covid symptoms id be turned away.... What's the difference. Health is health.

Experiencia negativa: First time went to see physician here, got prescription for DM medications. Apparently insurance denied. 2nd prescription rewritten but wrong dosing and precribed allergic medicine while the allergy was mentioned in the history. Had to call multiple times to the provider to correct prescription. Last 8 yrs medication regimen lost in last 4 months . Still they couldn't correct it. I am fed up with them. Bad and irresponsible service.

Experiencia negativa: Went in for a ear infection. Then suggested to get a yearly exam which I ok'd too (which I got charged too & insurance covers the first exam). I got labs done (which she said I needed) & well well I get a beautiful charge of 995.00 & I have insurance! This is crazy! Wish they will tell you before hand how much insurance will cover before getting any testing done! She scheduled me for more don't know why?! Happy I cancelled all future appointment I don't need! Never going back!

The patient care here both on the medical and mental health side is just uncaring, and unresponsive leaning towards irresponsible. They waited until my referal expired to return my phone calls. And they DO NOT respond to messages on S&W app so I'm not sure why they tell you to use it. This review pertains to multiple doctors, nurses and staff. I will NOT be seen here again and am looking into filing a formal complaint with the clinic and S&W.

Experiencia negativa: I went here today to try and get a prescription for birth control pills, as well as refills for my other regular medication. The doctor told me that as long as my pregnancy test came back negative, she would fill the prescription. I was told I should have the results within an hour. Three hours later, we call my pharmacy to see if the prescriptions had been ordered, and all of them except the birth control had. I knew I wasn't pregnant, but I can only imagine how anxious I would've been if I had been concerned about that and you told me you'd write the prescription as long as the test was negative. I had to call the clinic and send a message to my doctor in MyChart to get the results. Very unprofessional. My nurse was very rude and acted like I was bothering her. And instead of speaking to me like I was an adult, she would motion and point as if I were a dog. Very disrespectful. Nurses can be hit or miss, but even my doctor (Dr. Varnado) was not very helpful or concerned today. I won't be coming back to this clinic.

Experiencia negativa: I was very disappointed with the non timely manner on my son’s appointment. We got there 15 minutes prior as the suggested and were not brought back until 45 minutes had passed and I had to go to the front desk 2 times after check to inquire what the issue was..... they handle the issue very poorly. After the lady at the front knew I was upset she would not even engage with me and the person that took us back would not either but she expected my 11 year old to know all of the answers. Very very disappointed!!!! Once we were put into a room we still waited !!!!!

Experiencia negativa: I called the clinic on Friday, December 14 about my father-n-law. I was told the clinic would try to call me back that day, but if not it would be Monday. I finally received a call on Thursday, December 20.

Experiencia negativa: Issues with appts. And staff. No one answers their phone over there. Called several times to setup appts no answered. Couldn't reach Dr. Thru the my chart. They seem to make themselves very scarce when it comes to patients. Very slow checking in process. Appts so far in between it easier dealing with the Temple clinic and more proficient. 1Star bc the labs seem to be the only thing really productive and diligent about this clinic.

Our most recent visit was a sports injury, & Dr. Ramm made the effort to fit us in on a Friday so my son wouldn’t be in pain over the weekend. Thank you, Jan Wilson, for taking time to check on my son’s ankle injury and being supportive to me as I was anxiously waiting for his x-rays. That meant so much to me. We highly recommend this clinic because they go above and beyond for their patients!

Experiencia negativa: They were quick getting us in, but even though I brought my wife in using a wheelchair, she was puking, had a fever, couldn’t stand, was constantly stating that her anxiety was killing her, and that she couldn’t keep anything down. The doctor, who ran no tests, said it was just a stomach bug, prescribed something to help her stop puking, and said she’ll be fine. He wouldn’t listen to anything we were saying, and just insisted that she stop smoking.

Experiencia negativa: The doctors here are really nice, but the police officer there is a transphobic jerk who refuses to call transgender people by there preferred pronoun. He is the only part of going to the doctor's that makes it a bad experience, I would like to be able to go to the my doctors without this strapped bully who can just be a bigot because he's a cop.

Make sure you arrive 30 minutes BEFORE your appointment time so the incompetent staff at the front can cause you to be late checking-in. They then tried to LIE to me about my appointment time to cause me to be even “more” late, so I was forced to reschedule!!! (The facility opens at 0745, so there was no way they scheduled me for a 0740 appointment!!!) They did it to cover up the fact they can’t quickly get people checked-in. The medical assistant was calling my name and knew I was waiting in line to be checked-in. Why don’t they get rid of the check-in staff and put a check-in booth like the VA does? That way they don’t have to waste money paying people that can’t do their job quickly and efficiently. This is what happens when corporate nonsense takes over quality patient care and it’s destroying medicine in this country!!! Your address and insurance information is more valuable than the patient is!!! I will be looking to take my “business” elsewhere after today, which will be hard considering this “chain” basically runs the whole area.

My boyfriend politely apologized for being rude to the ladies at the front desk for they were acting like I wasn't in the system meaning, I wasn't even a patient in the clinic (I have been a patient at Scott & White for over 2 years now). So she went on to say they treat everyone with respect in the office and blah blah blah. Well, she starts telling me she will be putting me back on my anti psychotics (which I don't want to be.) I told her that and started crying well, she told me the SAME thing she told my boyfriend (respect). She then checked my lungs cause I have a cough, APPARENTLY they sound "beautiful" and I told her calmly "last time I heard that, I had bronchitis" she goes "well I don't know what to tell you then." I do not recommend that dr or office at all. If I were closer to Waco, I'd be going to my original clinic there. They are rude, arrogant, snobby, and think they are better than the less fortunate. DONE with the Scott & White Killeen clinic!

Experiencia negativa: When i make an appt they are pretty quick about getting me in and out but ive been extremely frustrated because they say i need to come in and then they dont give me an exam they just give me medication. Which is fine but just refill my prescription and stop making me pay a co pay just for you just to refill my prescription which you can approve over the phone. I dont have time to waste money. And i have called everyday since Monday it is Thursday and havent heard back from my doctor or nurse. WTH!!! I should have gotten an answer by now.

Experiencia negativa: I have used this clinic for several years now. It was a great clinic but in the last 2 years this clinic has been Terrible. I had a great doctor here but she moved to California. So I got another doctor, he is terrible. His nurses are unrealiable and he is very unreliable. I can't get in to see him, I can't get prescriptions refilled, and the wait here is getting worse and worse. You complain to the main hospital and clinic and they take there sweet time getting back to you. I really thought hospitals, docors, and clinics were here to help, but it is actually getting lost somewhere and you definitely CAN'T GET IT HERE! Don't recommend you see Dr. FRITZ he might get to you in 2020. If he remembers or don't reschedule on you.

Experiencia negativa: I was charged a $137.00 fee to use the bathroom when submitting a urine sample. This was explained to me as being the fee for the use of a clinical room. When I told a customer service associate I did not use a clinical room and asked if I was being charged for using the bathroom, she stated in a sarcastic tone, "Yes MA'AM, you're being charged for using the bathroom." My insurance covers 100% labratory fees, and Scott and White is in network with BCBS, but because I was charged for using the restroom, and the paperwork was filed by Scott and White as a clinical visit not relating to the doctor's visit who sent me there, I now have to pay 137$ out of pocket. My advice: do not go to this laboratory! Call your insurance and find a lab that will file their charges correctly, and won't slip in undisclosed charges for using the bathroom or merely walking in to their building. Scott and White adds an additional "building use fee" on top of the doctor's visit as well. BE VERY CAREFUL, these people are crooks.
