Experiencia negativa: Finally calmed down enough to write this review. I am on blood thinners and a baby asprin due to a heart condition. I talked to a Nurse a week before today to go over my medications and what to expect. I was told quit the Blood thinner which I did a week before the procedure, I told the nurse I was told never to quit the baby asprin by my Cardiologist. She said she would talk to the Dr and if I did not receive a call I would be good, I never received a call and I drove to Killeen, Tx from Troy, Tx, I get there and get ready and the nurse says the Dr will not do the procedure because of the baby Asprin, even though I explained this to the nurse a week before. I WILL NEVER DEAL with this piss poor place again. On the drive home I get a phone call telling me since I cancelled my appointment would I like to reschedule. I cancelled all appointments with this place.

Experiencia negativa: I have been disabled for over 20yrs i went to this place because they were closer to my home and i wanted them to continue my treatment the so called doctor i saw refused to continue my treatment that i have been using for 20yrs because i refused steroid injections. I was turned away.i dont recommend a place that pushes needles on people.

Experiencia fantástica: I go to.IPA in Waco, TX. I love it. The staff is amazing. They take the time to listen. They are interested in my health. Friendly atmosphere. I feel very comfortable with them. I'm pleased at how eager they are to trying to help me find a solution to my pain. I've recommended them to my friends that have same problems I have. I guarantee my friends they will be treated with utmost respect and receive proper care for their pain.

Experiencia negativa: I have been a patient of Dr Irvine and the clinic since it opened. No more. Was supposed to have a major procedure today. Laid there 2.45 hrs with IV. Could get legitimate answer on the delay. Got up got the IV out and left. The standard in the surgery area has been going downhill for some time. They have it rock bottom.

Experiencia negativa: If you value your health, don't come here. These Drs don't care, and they don't listen at all. Yall better read your EOBs too! I regret even coming here and had to transfer and change Pain Management as the Drs are lazy and definitely do not care about the actual well being of their patients. They don't listen to their patients. Its jus in the room , don't bother to really listen, say here ya go, see you in 3 months. If you have a commercial insurance like I do, beware, they will milk your insurance and not advocate for you to get procedure's done, I was tired of calling and laving Voicemails and never getting a call back. Just dont bother wasting your time here. This has been a complete waste of 3 years of my life and got NO WHERE but looking for a new Dr.

Experiencia fantástica: I just wanted to send a very sincere thanks to a Mrs. Leslie! Bless her heart for enduring many 3 way phone calls with insurance companies to figure out which one could take care of every and all needs I have for my treatments with IPA! It has been it seems like forever due to insurance companies telling me yes everything I listed for my medical would be covered to find out later, no half of it is not covered! As frustrating as that can be, IPS whether in Odessa tx, shout out big thank you’s to all that group absolutely amazing, to IPA in Abilene, special thank you to all this group, to a huge special thanks to Killeen group! These are just all amazing people, I honestly believe God sent all those angels down to take care of those suffering and in pain! I do not know what I would do without all these angels by my side, by my families side! I cannot say enough nice and great things about them! They are all truly Godsend! Thank you from myself and my family!

Experiencia negativa: I thought this was pain management? Apparently they have forgotten that this means managing your pain. I'm due to have a major back surgery (#10) and they are all more concerned with losing their jobs than they are helping their patients! I'm disgusted by how I have been treated here in Texas by these so called pain management doctors! I can only hope that nobody else has this kind of issue! It's pathetic!!!!!!!!!!!!

Experiencia positiva: Can't call them back. The excuse is that they are having trouble with the phone lines.... The the same trouble for 4½ years!!! -They definitely want the appointments. -They definitely want our the $$$. We, the patients are their Cash Cows, they got a sweet deal via Medicare and the VA. The PAs and DRs are fabulous. The Ladies and gentlemen that work the Front Desks are outstanding. But, the need to change an appointment when necessary will try and take at times at the most 1½ hour. And many times, I have to come drive over an hour 2 hours round trip to personally come in. It's a sad, pathetic excuse saying its the phone lines. The phones never ever have rang during my time at this establishment. Please we are a bit more important than the money to being made at IPA

Experiencia positiva: They are good with pain management but awful at time management. The support staff (nurses, medical assistants, desk clerks) are very nice, professional and apologetic but the P.A.’s and Physicians really need to update their timeblocks to be geared towards patient care not maximum number of patients. Getting vitals done 30 minutes AFTER a scheduled appointment (why arrive 15 minutes prior??) and the doctor still not being ready to actually see you is tiring and increases the anxiety some of us already struggle with.

Experiencia negativa: Greedy folks here!!! Always waiting 20-30 mins past my appt time. If you can’t see the patient in the allotted time make appt longer… yes you might miss out on some money but maybe your patients won’t be so upset with the service they receive. If I were late they would cancel my appt, my time is important too. Just another number it’s really disgusting, it wasnt like this 3 years ago but now just ridiculous how you can tell they are just about the money and not patient care. The “management” is WORTHLESS as well!

Experiencia fantástica: I can't say enough good things about Dr Irvine. I has barely able to walk from pain and he got me back to work full time as an ICU nurse. I never had to wait around for my apt and was always able to get in if needed. He was very aware of my Lupus and how it affected me.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been with these wonderful people at Central Texas Day Surgery Center and Integrated Pain Associates for about 5 years or a little more now. They are wonderful. It feels like going in and talking to friends that really care about your pain. They have listened to my problems and discussed various procedures that might help. If I needed to be referred out, they did that as well. Everyone has been so kind and understanding. It really is a pleasure having them as part of my healthcare team.

Experiencia negativa: Moved here from GA in October. Had to establish new pain care. I was referred here and at first it was ok. I tested positive for thc because of some delta 8 stuff I was using in place of not having my meds. Fine. Stopped that and switched to cbd. Next appointment I'm told no again because there are still traces of thc in my system. And now they are waiting on my records. I called my old office and this office never sent for them. I'm doing all this calling and getting stuff sent here and there on my own. I called to make sure that what was sent would be sufficient enough for my meds. Go into my appointment and they tell me nope. Not gonna give you medicine because basically it looks like nothing is wrong. I felt very belittled and as if I was being told my pain is not real. There is a lot more but I'm too exhausted to go into detailbut I was made to feel as if I'm some strung out addict just there to get a fix. I wouldn't put myself through all this running around and stress if I weren't truly in pain. Must a very bad experience. Now I have to try to find something else

Experiencia negativa: I’m a little frustrated. I’ve been a patient at IPA for over 10 years now. I called them this morning to see if they could get me in to get a steroid injection because I’ve been in more pain than usual. I explained that my husband is having surgery this Thursday and he’ll be in the hospital for 5 days and when he comes home, I need to be able to take care of him. He’ll need help getting up and down. The girl took my information and said she was sending it over to the surgery center and they would call me back. I waited 5 hours and no one called me back so I called again and their automated system said there was no one to take my call, so I left another message with my name and phone number and still, no one called me back. My pain level is at a 6 and it’s been like this for 4 days now. My pain meds aren’t really helping as they usually do. It started on Friday, today is Monday. A courtesy call back would have been nice even if you couldn’t fit me in today. I understand your office is busy and I wouldn’t be calling if I wasn’t hurting.

Experiencia negativa: This company’s is full of rude and racist staff. I should have known that when I seen the T*ump sign in front of the building though. They’ll have maybe one or two black employees for ‘diversity’. I really wish I remember names so I could call them out. I don’t see how you’re in the medical field, but rude and make shady racist comments. Terrible experience here, would recommend doing more research with a better and professional company. It’s not worth it.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I both go to IPA they are great! We could not do our daily things in life if it wasn't for IPA! I recommend IPA if you are having pain and need Pain Management! Experiencia negativa: Here we go again! No pain relief at all from this so-called "pain management" team!!! They straight up lied!!! Was told that a new MRI was needed to see if a justification for pain meds could be met... waited another month with no pain relief, only to be told that there are areas of bulging and nerve compression, however, nothing they could do except refer me to yet another surgeon!!! Still no managed pain at all!!! The these people are suppose to be the pain specialist??? They wouldn't know pain if it smacked them in the face!!! Of course if they were in pain, I'm sure they'd get whatever they needed or wanted!!!

Experiencia negativa: So let me tell you about the staff of this establishment. I had a previous injury that required hardware to repair. A titanium plate and 7 screws to rebuild my right ankle. After time it had begun to.have an almost sharp but thobbing pain that after a while of bearing weight became too much so my pcp refers me to this specific establishment. I was completely pushed off as I was trying to obtain prescriptions for illegal use. So the doctor gave me 3800 mg a day for pain of gabapentin for nerve pain. I noticed no discoloration in my feet to expect this and my foot was not sensitive to touch but the weight of the pressure hurt. Once again they as if I am seeking attention. After awhile of being ignored she finally orders x-rays which I go and immediately get, I get to my car with them and hold them up and I see a mass in my joint. I scheduled a second opinion with an orthopedic surgeon Dr bednarz for a second opinion and he diagnosed me with a bone spur. Now I asked about the nerve pain. He said no signs of any nerve damage. So now let's fast-forward... I call the establishment asked to speak with my original diagnosis Dr and asked on what did she base this diagnosis of nerve damage and the need to prescribe me for medications i did not need.. thay at made her diagnose me with nerve damage and push that much medication??? I was looking for real help and they treated me like I was a sheep and never got back with when asked why. On top of all that they gave me a 302.00 bill after committing this fraud waste and abuse.

Experiencia negativa: If you want to get pain pills it's probably a great place. Personally our experience over several years was not good. We only saw the doctor Irvine once. He's very busy he is opening new locations around Texas to make more money. They want you to have some kind of procedure done every month or else they don't want to see you. The whole point of this operation is to see you and Bill the insurance companies. After going there for a couple years they had been doing what they call nerve burns and they put a test stimulator in and when it was time to remove it after it was unsuccessful of course Dr Irvine wasn't there but one of his colleagues was and the representative from the company that makes the nerve stimulator said wow we have targeted the wrong nerves. Now covid-19 kicks in and we see a different PA and he starts exploring where the actual nerves and problem was. Of course he's a PA and he wants to target the different nerves. But he has to go get it cleared with Dr Irvine who says no we're going to continue to target the same nerves. The same nerves that weren't providing relief. The same nerves that the tech rep and the other doctor who I'm not going to name said wow we've done the wrong nerves. Most of these office visits after covid-19 didn't allow me to be there but my girlfriend would call me on her speaker phone so that I could ask questions and listen in. So basically she was told if she didn't have some kind of procedure performed they weren't going to be able to treat her. Also just as a side note her problem involves what's called her sacrum and every room that they have you weighed in has a poster talking about sacrum stabilization treatments. So when I asked they said well we don't do that and we don't refer anyone for that so why is the poster there? Well since my girlfriend's insurance lets her go see a specialist without referrals we went to see a neurosurgeon who took a look at the MRI listen to where and what my girlfriend's problem was and promptly told us that his professional opinion was we needed to go somewhere else which we did and we're much happier that we have nothing to do with IPA. In fact I'm so angry I still think about getting an attorney or at least somehow reporting what I consider a pill mill to the Texas medical board. most of the comments we seem to get is that she's not taking very many pain pills so they would gladly prescribe more. I feel that the company that made the stimulator was honest and tried to help. I think that the doctor that came in when they were removing the test leads from the stimulator might have been more help. But constantly seeing no one but PA's and having the doctor overrule his own PA after the other doctors and tech rep admitted that they had targeted the wrong nerves was very irritating and just as far as I'm concerned malpractice. Your experience may be different but as far as we're concerned we would wish we had never gone there. The nurses and the PAs we dealt with were friendly and nice but we did not get any of the pain relief that we were looking for. Didn't want pills didn't want painkillers she wanted to be fixed Taking the neurosurgeons advice we went to Baylor Scott & White clinic in Round Rock and they're very first treatment my girlfriend got what she considers her first relief in years unfortunately steroid shot only lasted several weeks but it was complete different situation.

Experiencia negativa: Go see DR MARSH INSTEAD! THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU, JUST YOUR MONEY! They added to my records AFTER I told them i wasnt returning...They were charging me surgery prices for steroid shots. My COPAY was $240... With a quick search, on Google, I found a private pain mgmt Dr that charges it as an OFFICE PROCEDURE and quoted me a $35 COPAY! I will post a review of THAT Dr after my appt.

Experiencia negativa: Very poor quality website and service. My wife went multiple times for back pain issues and they gave her numerous treatments that were ineffective. They revealed information about her back that they had kept from us only after treatments failed and we were several 1000s of dollars in debt. Then they give you the run around, making you go to several appointments that are pointless but cost a good 100 bucks each time. So yeah, I'm not impressed. Then, to make matters even better, their website is impossible to navigate. I looked for a good while in order to pay my bill and never managed to find where to go. Avoid this place if you value your time, money, and health.

Experiencia fantástica: My name is Dana Sanchez, and I have been a patient of, Dr. Irvine’s for a year and a half. When I first moved to TX, Dr. Irvine saw me on a moments notice. Fast forward a year and a half later, Dr. Irvine is by far, one the most caring doctors I have had the opportunity to be a patient of. His compassion for his patients is so genuine. Dr. Irvine’s bedside manner is second-to-none! He truly cares about his patients and is both, dedicated and committed them. He plays an integral role in the area of pain management medicine and, I am a true testament of his commitment to his patients and practice. As for the PA’s at IPA, they are also very dedicated to the patients of IPA. Melanie is an absolute asset to IPA. Angie, Dawn and Jason are all amazing. The office staff and staff at the Surgery Center are all so friendly and know patients by name. Thank you everyone at IPA for always being so caring and dedicated to the patients of IPA. Dr. Irvine, never change. You are the best doctor ever!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I have issues from my hips to my neck. I have had several Radiofrequency Ablations up and down my spine. Since I have been going I have had tremendous improvement in my ability to move about and have less pain. My only complaint is they will not do my procedures closer together. But I understand it is guidelines I have to follow. I would recommend these doctors to any person that can not get relief short of major back surgery!

Experiencia negativa: If I could give zero stars I would. My mom had an appointment today after being seen at the temple location for her first appointment. This place is very unprofessional. From the very moment she walked in at that. I work for a doctor office as well and had to step away because my mother called me crying. I don’t know why the temple location made her follow up at this location because it was a completely different environment and treatment. Melanie Pierce the FNP there was not even up to date on her records and treated her as if she was only seeking pain medication. When asked to speak with a supervisor she was not any better. She didn’t even bother to ask what was going on or try to fix it. Would not recommend at all. Maybe who ever trained the staff at temple should come and show the Killeen location how to have better customer service and patient care .

Experiencia negativa: I referred my client to API, mistakenly believing he would benefit. My client was given morphine and extended release hydrocodone. His appt time was changed and he was accused of coming in early and cut off by the Dr. Very paranoid and unprofessional

Experiencia negativa: Everyone beware, you'll be charged for both integrated pain, and day surgery center for getting any shots. They won't tell you anything until a year later when they will no longer see you because you noww you owe more money. They didn't send me a bill for a year, and now want to argue about it's the insurances fault. The front desk, DRs and nurses are all nice, but the billing side are nothing but scammers. Also, good luck getting ahold of them, wait time is either 10 minutes, or never. Just go to the building if you need to get ahold of them. And good luck cancelling your appointments. I've done it multiple times, and I still get those calls about missed appointments.

Experiencia negativa: They are not very good at listening to how you feel. I was in a car accident and one of the providers made a joke about pain being one of the down falls of getting older. I always felt as if they were just milking my insurance. One of the providers was very understanding and got me what I needed to help me to be able to continue going to work. I think her name is Krisha. They kept insisting I get another MRI when my first one wasnt even a year old yet. I just never felt like they had my best interests at heart. I always felt like a number. The girls at the front desk are always a delight.

Spoke with everyone besides the Directors boss. Was told I’d be called but, 24 hours later I have not. And come to find out they had 7 days to get things in order for my procedure, and didn’t. Could of made one phone call to my insurance provider in that 7 days (including the day of) and the bosses boss said “ no we would have to reschedule and it’s a lot of paperwork”. It required a phone call actually. I am appalled by my treatment by these people. I was excited about my procedure, I know it would of helped me a lot. And instead they wanted more money before I was “fixed” and cared nothing about me as a person. There HAS to be a business out there in the medical field that cares more about the people and the healing there of. And less about the time/paperwork they have to do along with the love of money.

Experiencia negativa: I have not been happy with this company's inability to follow-up in a timely manner. Called and left two messages and four days later still have not received a call back to schedule a procedure that THEY had to reschedule. Wait times when you call them are ridiculous -- 10 minutes on my last call and it finally went to voicemail.

Experiencia fantástica: Exceptional doctors and staff. My wife was on Fentanyl 100 patches and other narcotics, but still in severe pain. In a few weeks she was off all narcotics and pain free. Nothing short of miraculous! Offices in Killeen and Abilene are clean and very well run. They typically run a little behind on appointments because they take the time to listen and understand each patient. We don't mind waiting for exceptional service.

Experiencia fantástica: My name is Amia, When I move to Texas I found out about in a integrate ipain management they did that for me for three years I was feeling better so I stopped fort three years then I had a car accident I Went to another pain managed in another location I was not happy with the results I came back to integrated pain management and I have not been feeling the pain that was radiating down my legs my back and my feet I feel very good as a mother of four and I am able to do my daily duties I thank Integrated pain management for giving me my life back

Experiencia fantástica: I've been seeing Dr Sutton in Killeen now for 1 year and He and his staff are amazing human beings! The staff are always very friendly and don't make you feel rushed. Dr. Sutton takes time to listen to you and he does just that, He Listens & Cares as does his staff. I really enjoy going here. You are a human being to him and not just another number or patient. He has always made me feel very comfortable and he truly cares about his patients health and for that I am very thankful. He takes time to creat a treatment plan and talks in detail with you about it so you understand. He speaks human language, not doctor language that you can't understand lol. I appreciate all that he has done for me in my treatment plan and continues to do for me. He is an incredible doctor but more importantly, he's an incredible human being! Experiencia fantástica: The Doctors and staff at Integrated Pain Associates are great folks. All of the Doctors are wonderful however I have a partiality to Dr. Irvine because he has treated me for several years and several types of post military retirement pains. This is truly a great place to receive pain treatment. They understand that you hurt, etc, and they will do their best to help you feel better.

No matter which Physician you see you are going to get great service. They are so patient and pay attention to details. Especially, since I have so many issues. Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to the Killeen clinic for several years and I have always been treated well. Dr.Irvine has always been great and has explained everything to me so that I understand what is going on with my back and he always asks me if I have any questions. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. I have never had any problems with any of my injections and I always feel much better within a few hours. I love IPA and their staff! Experiencia fantástica: Baylor Scott and White left me high and dry after an intense 360 degree back fusion. After 9 months the pain was intense. I changed to Seaton Hospital and was referred to IPA Dr Lowery. Dr Lowery is the greatest. Dr Lowery listens, genuinely cares about his patients, working hard to get me out of pain. Referred me to physical therapy - resulting in great improvements. I'm confident Dr Lowery will have me pain free soon.

Experiencia negativa: Doctors are great but the appt system is broke. After waiting on hold and going thru the numbers, I get to second in line then I get the message to leave a message. This has happen numerous times and this time I left three messages and no return calls. Maybe they need to hire more humans so we can get some interactions for appts and scheduling. Miss a payment and you will get a phone call, guarantee.

Experiencia negativa: Dr. Irvine is wonderful but the other providers I saw were awful. Michelle who in her bio loves Veterans and serving the military community but while sitting in the room waiting for her to come in she was chatting with the nurse that took my vitals and in front of my room was making fun of me!!!! The walls are paper thin so if they are going to make fun of patients they should go to their office but really any dr or nurse practitioner or really any medical staff should have the decency not to make fun of patients. If you do choose to go here make sure you opt out of seeing Michelle at the Killeen location.

Experiencia negativa: On 4/29 I had an appointment with IPA and I informed them that I was in lots of intense pain because of dental procedures that were done/needed to be done. On the right side I had received 2 crown build ups and they had to cut and cord much of my gums so the dentist offered me a Rx. I told my dentist that I was already taking pain pill 1 every 8 hours and he told me ok and if in the interim hear is a Rx. I took the Rx. I didn’t fill the Rx because of my pain contract. When I turned in my Rx the employee told me that I cannot take anything other than the one tablet every 8 hours. She told me that if things get bad come back. On the 30th I came back because I was in pain. They didn’t change their minds. I’m still in pain. Today I had to miss work. I had an ear ache headache and 4 tooth aches. I went and got an emergency root canal the morning of May 1. I told the doctor that I cannot accept a Rx because I was on a pain contract. He just gave me some Motrin for today. Around 4pm I was still hurting and my face was still swollen my ear still hurting. I can only take one pain pill every 8 hours. I asked to speak to a supervisor and showed her everything she looked up my Rx and said my doctor says that 1 pain pill every 8 hours is sufficient. It’s not. I’m writing this because I want new patients to have knowledge before you use this company of course you will need dental work or some other pain. So choose wisely.

Experiencia negativa: I was a patient at IPA for over three years, and I adored when I actually got to see Dr. Lowery. He listened and genuinely cared about my pain. Then the change started, I got passed off to the NPs. I had one who was more interested in my mental health than my physical health, to the point of "forgetting" to schedule my procedure and setting it back by a couple of weeks. But for the most part it was ok, not great, but ok. I tolerated the drug tests every three months, and needing to the test blocks every six months to a year. When I started to complain about just getting a bandaid on my issues instead of them looking towards a long term fix, I was told that there wasn't one for me. I just had to deal with all of my vacation and sick time being used there. I complained about the appointments not starting on time, often being upwards of 45 minutes past my start time, I was told that it was better than other clinics (that's a lie). I also wanted to see my doctor, Dr. Lowry, not just the nurse. It wasn't until I caused a problem for them that they relented and said I could, brushing it off as a "communication issue". The final straw was when I fought with them for over four months to make sure my medication list was correct, and it still wasn't. Plus I asked for a two month prescription of my medications. They treated me like a drug seekers, despite most clinics writing prescriptions for up to three months. The nurse wrote the prescription for one. At my next appointment I pointed out the mistake and they looked it up in my medical records, which said two. I still had the original paper prescription that she printed and it said one. I'm no longer a patient there and so many of the things they said they "had" to do are simply so they could get more money from patients. Like the test blocks and the drug tests. They also purposely wrote prescriptions for shorter periods so more office visits would be required. For some reason they refused to look into other treatments for me, like an implant, despite being a perfect candidate for it. Probably because they wouldn't be able to make as much money from me if they actually fixed my problem. Even now they are still messing with me, though through neglect not purposely. When I left IPA I signed their consent form for other clinics to receive my medical records. My new clinic has requested my records at several times, including at least three times since the beginning of February and they have yet to hear back.
