Experiencia positiva: I was at AV hospital emergency room on 2/11/26 with my foster daughter, we were waiting a very long time for discharge papers. Hours. My foster daughter ask a female staff to check on her status. The lady never came back with an answer. We waited longer and then i ask the lady to check and she said they were still waiting for urine results. I told her we have been waiting so long can she check to see what could be the hold up on that. She told me I can ask one of the nurses and pointed there direction. I went to that direction but couldn't tell who was a nurse because several staff was wearing different uniforms so I ask a lady for help and she was rude saying she is a student in a mean way. Then a nurse over heard and said she will check and come over to where we was waiting after she is done with a patient. She never came so we waitined longer. Last I saw a young man name Brandan Laine sitting at the conputer and I asked him to check and he was so helpful. He saw that the results for her urine was still pending so he got up and checked only to fine out that it was sitting in the same spot never check and he check the urine and put the results in the conputer so the doctor can see it and set up the discharge. If it wasn't for Brandon going above and beyond to help, we would have been sitting for no telling how long. Thank you so much Brandon Laine for doing what no other person would do. You are the only reason this review got five stars.

Experiencia fantástica: Brought my sister to Kaiser's urgent care last night around 5:30 she needed tests that they couldn't do there so she was transferred over to AV. We got there before 7 pm and it was packed like no tomorrow. Even with her being a transfer we waited for hours. It was so full they had no beds available. When she was finally called back Alyssa the LVN and Kash were so friendly. They kept track of my sister, as well as their other patients. They were always coming to check on her and ask about her pain levels and kept apologizing for the long wait times due to being short staffed. The doctor who was in her residency was also very friendly and helpful. Desping my sister being discharged at 5 am she had an overall great experience. Thank you for taking such great care of my sister despite a few drawbacks that were out of everyone's control.

Experiencia negativa: Literally a sad excuse for a hospital I arrived at 11:32pm plenty of empty chairs. Went for pain in right side of face extending from throat to the ear level 8/10… I was seen by 1am by an NP who at that point told me they could not help me I had to go to a dentist pain now 10/10 I’m in tears crying and shaking from this pain in my mouth… they give me mouth wash and send me to the lobby. It is now 3:30am and I am still sitting in the lobby pain level 10/10 tears in my eyes with no pain medication and no discharge papers. 2 hrs to receive Tylenol and discharge papers? Crying in lobby doesn’t warrant pain medication? This was by far the most torturous experience of my life and I’m still here because I need a note for work regarding my absence for the day. Otherwise I would of left as soon as she said she couldn’t help me

Experiencia negativa: Prior to 1 week ago I never had anything negative to say about AV Hospital. However, my mother was brought to the ER for swelling and leg pain, She was later diagnosed with DVT. During the time in emergency she didn't see a Doctor AT ALL. My mother was given medication and discharged WITHOUT SEEING a Doctor. None of her pertinent answers were answered and the nurse simply said "Try not to fall while on the medication as you can bleed easily ". The way my mother was handled at AV hospital ER is unethical and I will be sending this complaint up the chain of command for delayed diagnosis, premature discharge, and not adequately assessing the severity of her condition. AV hospital please get a good look at my name because you will see it when a malpractice suit is filed! God Bless!

Experiencia negativa: My dad is currently admitted in room 231 , this hospital by far the most worst, my experience at this hospital was extremely negative I felt rushed by the trauma doctor Reza Kermani, MD to make a decision on my dads life no empathy and definitely no compassion! The environment felt disorganized, And very dirty hospital Main issue staff behavior, inappropriate language in the hallway of having easy work with patients on ventilators (RN Carlos)

Experiencia fantástica: Went into av er with pancreatitis and gall stones... the nurses, ( Catrina B, surgery, and hannah, were most attentive, friendly, and pleasant to be around as as well as as a few others I can't recall names, the Drs, moussani, and Dr Bermani were comforting caring with resolve, the room was 5 star, and what food i was allowed to eat was very good, This is my seventh Time at this medical facility and I've been treated as well all the times I've come here for help and care. I appreciate the staff the knowledge and the care that these people show me. I am awaiting surgery in the morning to remove my gallbladder and I will be home soon. Thank you to all that put up with me for the days. I've been in here.

Experiencia negativa: WORST hospital! The nurses do not care about the patients' state of condition. I had a fever of 104, was on the verge of passing out, excessively sweating, I could not breathe and I voiced this multiple times that I was in desperate need of help and IV fluids and they did not care. I waited 3 hours for an x-ray and was sent back to the waiting room. I had to leave because of how bad my condition was, I was not going to wait for myself to get worse. Luckily the clinic La Salud that's 3 min away from the hospital treated me quickly and were more attentive. They were shocked that the AV hospital did not give me any tylenol or ibuprofen for my fever which the clinic was gladly to give me. I did have to pay out of pocket to get treatment but totally worth it. I highly recommend that any day over this horrible hospital.

Experiencia negativa: Worse hospital ever. If I could give 0 stars I would. Visitors are expected to wait outside the hospital even though they have waiting rooms available with no one using them. They don’t give any explanation as to why family can’t wait in the WAITING room for family members to rotate to visit our loved one.

Experiencia negativa: Bad very bad experience here. I came to see MY mother and front desk receptionist told me she was not in the system, my oldest sister told them not to let me in. I called the hospital and they also told me MY mother’s name did not show up on their side. Now what kind of service does this kind of hospital give if they listen to visitors like this.

Experiencia negativa: HORRIBLE… DO NOT GO TO THEIR EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT. Don’t take your loved ones here. Drive further to get good care. I’ve lived here most of my life and I could write a book about the horrible treatment and incompetence of this hospital that my family, my friends and I have experienced over the years at this hospital. It has never gotten better, in fact it has gotten worse! Please don’t go there. You don’t deserve to be treated like a number. Once you go somewhere else and experience being treated like a valuable human, you realize how horrible and disgusting this hospital is.

Experiencia fantástica: They took good care of my Dad. The Doctor was really profesional with us , and ran all test my dad needed to make sure all was good.the ultrasound nurses did an excellent job with my dad. They made sure my dad was comfortable. The staff was real professional. It took a while but I understand that they are very busy with helping other patients. Security was also very helpful when ask question.

The wait is super long very unreliable when you need help with sickness I promise you will be sitting there throwing up in the lobby for hours long if you were to go to an emergency room. Don’t get me started on immediate medic examine this place is unreliable for help.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff starting from ER security were friendly and helpful. The nurses were very timely and attentive. Being a father of four, I have had my share of hospital experiences. The doctors and specialists were onsite within hours, not days. My mother was brought in for a possible stroke, and there have been several staff testing and caregiving. The doctors were very helpful and listened. Extremely supportive team here.

Experiencia negativa: Security guard hit me twice while checking my things which I don't understand why they have security checking people stuff in California which resulted in a argument that should have never happened an my cellphone missing an me almost going to jail. I am beyond pissed @the service I received @ this hospital an hope something is done about the disfunction .Also you have to walk all the way to the back of hospital to check in an that doesn't make any since to me Anyways hopefully I will get my cellphone back

Experiencia negativa: I cannot even believe that the kind of treatment that’s given here was even humanly possible… Dumping people out of wheel chairs at night, in the parking lot, with a spit mask over their face, while having a SEIZURE!!! Then have the audacity to stand there and laugh at her, while being recorded!!! Live!!! I hope she sued the hell out of this horrendous establishment and every one of the “people”.. we’re fired and charged. Disgraceful…

Experiencia negativa: 3rd time back for the same problem. This hospital is HORRIBLE!!!! I have seen like 4 families check in while we are in the waiting room and leave already. I DO NOT recommend this hospital at all.

Experiencia fantástica: Most times I do not have the best experience when I go to any hospital but the other night I went it, got into a room pretty fast and had the best guy help me, his name was Mitch and he was honestly the best and very patient with me !!

Everyone else told me my kid was fine and it was just her behavior but Dr. Batish took me seriously and we found out she has a brain cancer. He was so kind and smart. Experiencia negativa: This place is horrible they need to be shut down and an actual emergency department needs to be open. All I have seen is more security guards abusing people throwing people on the ground outside it’s more security guards than er doctors and the only thing they move very quickly on is getting your signature for payments this hospital fails the health care system and all the new remodeling for what worst wait times and sending people home who needs to be admitted my daughter in law was sent there for pancreatitis and kidney stones and her lipase was over 500 and they sent her home I will be calling the department of public health and finding every way to be heard now my daughter in law has to drive somewhere to find a real hospital who cares about the oath they took

Experiencia fantástica: My wife and I had our baby girl without issues at AV Medical Center. During our care the compassion, competency, and welcoming nature of their employees shined throughout. Prior to my wife's procedure the nurse Shannon helped ease my mind (anxious) during a stressful moment of uncertainty. The post operative nurses were amazing (Brandi and Almira). They stressed skin to skin even as a father. They brought comfort and care after my wife's procedure. Once we made it to couplet care the staff was amazing as well. Our nurses Beatriz, Trish, Erica, and Betty treated us with such patience and compassion when we were lost as new parents. Hilary the lactation specialist spent extra time with us, as she saw our baby struggling to latch and begin feeding. Her pointers and knowledge came from a place of true enjoyment for her work, it was much appreciated. Rosa from dietary treated us so well, and made our day less stressful with her attentiveness. Throughout the stay the theme of compassion, competency, and patience was present. As new parents these are thing you appreciate. We hope people have confidence in the Antelope Valley Women's Pavilion, as our experience was better than anything we could have expected.

Experiencia negativa: Hospital deserves 0 stars but I had some amazing nurses that deserve 5 stars, shout out to Layla on the 5th floor she was AMAZING!!! So the stars are for the nurses even though most of then deserve more than two. Went in the trauma center after a bad car accident and was admitted for a week. The only time I ever saw a doctor was in the ER never saw one after. I broke my fibia and tibia and was never instructed to have my leg elevated, found out later after I left I was supposed to be elevating it the whole time. I blame them on my slow healing process. How do they not know to have a broken bone elevated?! I didn't know till later, but I'm not in medical field. Was stuck in a room with a horrible woman who was verbally abusive to the nurses and no one of higher authority would tell her to stop. When I yelled on her I was the one punished and sent to a different room. They should really defend the nurses and not let them be treated like that. It's also ridiculous that in a room with two beds they have one tv, and even if you don't want to watch tv the sound still goes to your bed. They should have two because not everyone wants to watch the same thing. They also should have headphones because everyone listens to the tv on full volume and it's just rude. was moved to a room with the beds and it was constantly loud and just horrible. One patient had visitors everyday at 5am and they would be so loud even when other people were trying to sleep and they were never told to keep it down.

Experiencia negativa: This hospitals is horrible..my uncle passed away on the 21 of August at 149 pm the security was horrible . They made us wait outside and we was pulling the cord on my uncle so tje family came to say goodbye and they treated us like we where slave. Because the color of our skin had police outside the door because we told them stop treated us like we are not free. That day will never be forgotten and staff I pray they never have to go through what they put us through.

Experiencia negativa: I called in to get an opinion on whether I should bring my so infant son in for a cold. The first person that answered was a security guard who immediately transferred me to the ER line. I spoke with Nicole from ER who sounded like she had no patience to spare. Upon explaining my situation, she immediately said "okay" in a way that was like (what do you want me to do about it?) I dunno Nicole, maybe as a medical professional you should show some compassion for someone calling in about their infant child who is in distress. I don't need you to give me medical advise, I need you to do the very human thing and tell me if I should bring my child in.

Experiencia negativa: I DELIVER WITH UBER EATS. I DROPPED AN ORDER FOR WENDY. I SEE THE ADDRESS AND ERAD THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE APP, BUT I FOLLOW THE GPS FOR DIRECTIONS. I WENT IN THE HSPITAL AREA FROM 15TH STREET. IT TAKES ME TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM INSTEAD OF THE FRONT OF THE HOSPITAL. I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE AREA OR THE HOSPITAL. I CALL THE NUMBER ON THE APP AS INSTRUCTED TO LET HE KNOW I AM HERE. WRONG NUMBER BOTH TIMES. SHE CALLS ME AND SAYS I LEFT "INSTRUCTIONS". WOW, THROW THAT IN MY FACE. I DO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. WHAT AN ATTITUDE. ONLY A TEN DOLLAR ODER FOR SOME 7 MILES OR SO. NO WONDER THE HOSPITAL HAS A 2 STAR RATING.

Experiencia negativa: This hospital has never been good even after all the changes still the same. My mom has been there 4 times since April 1st. For ecoli & was in sepsis shock. She came in with full mobility & when discharge they gave her a shot to which I’m still unable to find out what to which made her whole body go numb & it feels like daggers when her skin is touched & lost full mobility is now bedridden & needs 24/7 care. She is a Vet! A Sgt! A peace officer! She’s had constant UTI ever since & all they do is put a damn bandaid on it and then she’s back! Not to mention spent all day there to not be offered any food & to have a nurse downplay my mom’s condition is observed! Ppl send ppl here to DIE!

Experiencia negativa: Ended up in the AV hospital ER last night with my daughter. She had 2nd degree burns and was in so much pain. Intake was useless, rude, no compassion and no sense of urgency.They literally walked away and left us standing their while they went on break or something. Staff treats you like you’re just another number. After speaking up finally one of the ladies took the time to check us in even though she was not doing intake. (Thank you for helping us)The first nurse was not helpful at all telling me that she ran out of ice packs. Really in an emergency room you ran out of ice packs!? Asked another staff and she stated she wasn’t a nurse so she couldn’t get me an ice pack. Finally my daughter was called to the back where I was met by a really nice nurse. I didn’t get her name but she was super sweet and helpful. She was dressed in purple and didn’t hesitate to help considering she wasn’t assigned to my daughter. She immediately got her IV started and was very compassionate . Later we were met by Maggie and Mabel which took their time in cleaning and tending to her wound. We need more nurses and ER techs like all three of you ladies. As a mother I appreciate the patience, kindness and compassion you showed my daughter. Waiting room staff needs to take notes. But to the 3 wonderful ladies that helped us in the back I can’t thank you enough. Lady in purple , Maggie and Mabel you are amazing!

Experiencia negativa: I had my Gallbladder removed here. Dr bo-lu zhou. was my anesthesiologist, he was terrible. I woke up in the middle of surgery choking, and in terrible pain. I have had over 9 other surgeries that all went very smooth. Also during my stay this last time, the room was very hot and all they could do was offer a fan to blow the hot air around. Avoid this hospital and drive to a decent place.

Experiencia fantástica: We were in and out in a little over 2 hours, all staff was extremely professional, concerned & caring towards us. We have zero complaints and should we need an emergency room again, we would come back in a heart beat. Our oldest daughter (2) even left a stuffed animal in the triage room we were in and ran out into the parking lot to find us to give it back.
This feedback means a great deal to us and we are happy to hear that we were able to provide the care and compassion needed during this time at our center.
Experiencia negativa: Terrible experience at this hospital. I'm not surprised leapfrog have them a low score due to patent infections in 2017 I saw a nurse and a doctor leave the restroom with out washing their hand left after a hour of waiting.

Experiencia negativa: I recently accompanied my mother to Antelope Valley Medical Center for a scheduled procedure. I was with her throughout the visit, and what I witnessed firsthand was completely unacceptable for any healthcare facility claiming to provide competent, compassionate care. After checking in, my mother was placed in a gown and left waiting in a room for over three hours. During that entire time, no one provided updates, offered water, or explained the delay. I sat beside her, watching staff walk past without a word—as if her time, comfort, and basic needs were irrelevant. Eventually, someone informed us—without apology or urgency—that the procedure would be delayed. By then, my mother had gone hours without food or water, was visibly uncomfortable, and increasingly anxious. There was zero consideration for the physical or emotional impact of the wait, let alone any effort to make the experience more manageable. This isn’t just poor bedside manner—it’s a breakdown in basic operational standards. Timely communication, attentiveness, and respect are the bare minimum in healthcare, yet none of these were present. From a legal and ethical standpoint: - Patients have the right to be informed of delays and cared for appropriately while they wait. - Extended fasting without supervision or updates can have health consequences. - The lack of coordination and attention raises serious concerns about internal systems and patient oversight. Bottom line: No patient should be left waiting for hours in silence, in a gown, without water, or communication. What I observed first hand was a failure in both patient care and staff accountability. Antelope Valley Medical Center needs to take a hard look at how patients are being managed and make serious improvements. This wasn’t an inconvenience—it was a complete failure in duty.

Experiencia negativa: All the time that I took my kids to this hospital when they were minors, never had a problem with anything. But this time I'm upset cause yesterday 6/20/25 at around 11:35pm my son and daughter-in-law took my 2 months old grand daughter to the Emergency room cause she is fussy, crying, running nose, sneezing and vomited lots of clear mucus. And the doctor do an ultrasound and told my daughter-in-law that the baby doesn't have anything and that she is fine. (I wish I would have been there) You canvclearly see that most of us would think is a cold or flu and that doctor didn't even told them to giver her Tylenol or nothing at all. Is like if he just wanted to get done with the patients to make it thru the shift. As as today 6/21/25 she is still the same and now going to take her to another Hospital and see if they can say what is wrong with her. To everyone I sugest to put your foot down and request to have done every exam that it can be donde and nit just an ultrasound. It's something that you can request for your peace of mind.

Experiencia negativa: First, I want to say there are some wonderful, caring individuals working here and we received the best from a few individuals. However, our overall experience was awful. My son and I were both being treated for injuries from a high speed car accident. It's been well over 24 hours since leaving the facility for emergency/trauma care and we still haven't been able to get the prescriptions issued by the doctors to be actually placed with our local pharmacy (out of the area). I've spent an entire day on the phone with dozens of different people trying to coordinate: after care, records sent to my PCP, scripts sent. It's endless run around with nothing resolved. The entire stay from ER to being admitted and discharged was like this. Lack of coordination. No one knows what's going on. I was left sitting in a chair passed out in the phlebotomy area, in a corner with curtains around me and other patients (also curtained off) between me and the nurses. I called for a nurse as I was passing out and she just hollered back at me, didn't come over until I kept calling. When she came she just put my feet up and a face cloth on my head, didn't even move me to a flat bed to lay down. They didn't check on me after passing out for another hour. Didn't give me water, juice, food, medicine, nothing. I was left shivering uncontrollably, no one checked. I had to text my husband who was with my son in a trauma bay in another part of the hospital to bring me water and food and a blanket because I was in this corner passing out with no nurse in sight or anyone checking on me. No one told me what was next or what I was waiting there for, for hours. The running of the facility is chaotic and unorganized. You're lucky to actually speak to a doctor at all and if you do it will be for 30 seconds or less and a different doctor every time. This was for both high level and medium level trauma. We were both left shivering and cold after asking for blankets, left with no way to pee after asking, my son was left with blood crusted all over his face and blocking his nostrils for hours after asking and being told a tech would clean him up. Eventually my husband, who was also in the accident, got paper towels from the bathroom to try to clean him up. There were 2 different doctors in charge of his case and they had a total breakdown in communication regarding the results of the tests that were done, diagnosis and treatment. They couldn't coordinate the treatment for me and my son so that we could be near each other and I could be kept in the loop with what was going on with my son while I was receiving care.

Experiencia negativa: Wish I could say this place has gotten better but it really hasn’t. Took my 7 month old to the ER (she hit her head pretty hard). My wife and I waited 30 min just to be checked in. I went to the car until my daughter was called and they wouldn’t let me back in to see her. I let them know what happened, they said they remembered me and they said I wasn’t allowed to go back in. I just wanted to check on my 7 month old! What the heck? You did the same crap when my wife was going through a miscarriage. She had to do it alone. Look up the definition of hospitable. On a side note, your security was making the matters worse. I explained to her that i didn’t want to hang around, i just wanted to check on my baby. And she was ready to fight me and take me down. She was being extremely hostile to me. So I started to walk away, then my wife came out to try and fix it, but the security was already on one. They let several families come in right after I left… you should probably train your security to DEescalate, rather than make them so hostile.

Experiencia negativa: My boyfriend has been in and out of Antelope Valley hospital sometimes taken care of very well other times not at all….a week before he passed at this hospital he was sent home by an ambulance escorted in the house unable to walk almost falling with help the last day of his life in the critical care unit I noticed both his hands were dirty I asked the nurse why are his hands dirty in the hospital and in a critical care unit she said they were cleaned in the morning I don’t believe that he was a very clean man also his hands were restrained why is that he is sedated I was not convinced he got the care he deserved… this man served his country and community I was not pleased my advice to families is advocate and stay with your loved one and watch and comment on their care be it good or bad

Experiencia negativa: This hospital should be shut down. My father experienced a stroke and was brought to this hospital. At the time he was actually an employee. So of course like all hospitals when their own workers are hospitalised, they are VIPs. From the moment we arrived the entire thing was a disaster. The emergency room shouldn't even exist at this place because they don't have a clue what they are doing. From regular nursing staff to doctors we were consistently spoken down to, told we didn't know anything about our father and just struggled to get any type of assistance from the staff. The man behind the curtain next to us had to change his wife and all of her bedding three times and could not get one of the ER staff members to assist him. At one point one of them simply showed him where to get the items he would need. From there it just gets worse . While in a heightened anxious state, my father was unable to do a necessary MRI . So they knocked him out . They put him on a breathing tube and then we could not wake him up. Once upstairs and out of the emergency room and in intensive care, we spent an entire day attempting to wake him up, poking him and prodding him all at the advice of the Doctor Who was managing his care. So imagine our surprise when two days into our stay the stroke doctor arrives and is absolutely appalled that we have been trying to wake him up. The revolving door of doctors and nurses continued. We were constantly probed on insane questions such as "does he use cocaine?" Alarming to hear seeing as he's their employee. We had nurses who couldn't be bothered. We had a nurse that spoke to me like a child after she failed to inform us that she was going to be taking him to remove the ventilator. The Doctor Who removed the ventilator had not read Our father's chart, had no idea how long he'd been on the ventilator, and removed the ventilator without knowing our father had pneumonia. then the nurse who was supposed to stay with him didn't. During that period where my father lay hunched over in bed alone struggling to breathe the nurse explained away why she doesn't HAVE to call anybody to let them know they're taking him off of a form of life support . Then while in the room the doctor decided my father didn't have any idea what was going on., that It was actually fine but of course now we need to reinsert the breathing tube. I am the younger sibling so I needed to call my older sister and at that point while hovering over my father the doctor had a very condescending conversation talking about how our dad's failing to thrive and asking my sister do you want me to do everything I can to save your father? Even though we were not in a pull the plug situation. It absolutely doesn't get better after this either . We finally get moved to another department when my father is awake and no longer on the breathing tube and we've already had to have a meeting with the hospital administration because we have doctors coming in daily asking us why we made such and such decision. decisions my sister and I , who are not doctors , were simply doing what we were told by the doctors " treating" our father. You think since he was an employee of this facility and they want to keep dropping the term VIP things would've gotten easier at some point -wrong . We couldn't get these people to fill out the disability paperwork. When my sibling asked the doctor about it because obviously our father would need to be getting paid he stated perhaps we should start a go fund me.. honestly, if your family member could die in a parking lot, they'd be better off than going to antelope Valley . Both of my parents have worked in the medical field for my entire 36 years of life. The negligence, the disrespect, the constant inappropriate questions and behaviour of the staff at this facility is truly disgusting.. I highly recommend taking any family member to any other location no matter how far the drive. It's more likely that antelope Valley will kill your family member then save them.

Experiencia negativa: Something needs to really be done about the way nurses are losing samples. I shouldn't have to wait 5 hours to get my results and then asked to take another sample. What are they doing! This hospital is so poorly ran and whomever is over this hospitals flow should be fired. You make an entire new er building to move even slower??? I'm so pissed. Anyone know where I can get an investigation going?? This has to tighten up!!

Experiencia negativa: I don’t recommend anybody going to this hospital because a long time ago one of my relatives nearly got closed in a bad situation that my other relative had to defend them because of this patient was so crazy and also these doctors and nurses are so unprofessional that they were not very nice and it took a while and finally did and also I had one of my best friends told me a story that they nearly close losing one of his own relatives because of negligent decisions so to anyone out there, please do not take that hospital. I don’t recommend taking another one because this is not what I would recommend.

Experiencia negativa: I've got no skin in this game; never even been to Antelope Valley Hospital. But after watching YT footage of the facility's medical and security staff dumping a convulsing woman out of her wheelchair and into a parking lot, I want to see receipts. An ethical hospital would respect its patients' feedback, not slap down some canned crap about "we're sorry you had a bad experience...". These people aren't returning an undercooked burger - their lives, safety, and privacy were casually put at risk! Please reply to this comment with acknowledgement that Antelope Valley Hospital has operated without oversight or ethics, as well as describing what protocols have been put in place to ensure no more citizens will be demeaned and left untreated.

Experiencia negativa: If you can wait 2 hours to be seen, drive over the hill. This place has twice sent my husband home with swelling from an infection, wrote him a prescription, and sent him home to ping pong between doctors appointments for the next month+. He had to fight to get admitted with a septic infection, just to be discharged after the first IV antibiotic dose (which took him 20 hours to get). A different visit, I was in anaphylactic shock due to a food allergy while 35 weeks pregnant and was gasping for air for 20 minutes before I could be seen... 20 minutes after checking in. And then when I had my baby, they forgot about me and then were rushing last minute telling me not to push. Then, afterwards they couldn't support my allergies of being gluten-free. Seriously...a hospital could not feed me properly! I am so glad I packed a third of my hospital bag with food. That's what I ate until I was discharged. Glad I brought food or else I would have starved. Oh, bring a good book or two to read in the lobby. TV-MA rated shows play in the waiting room. Only come here if the ambulance takes you here... otherwise drive over the hill towards Santa Clarita. It feels like the DMV cares more about you. (I am actually saddened having to write this review, as it is the only medical facility unless you drive for about an hour away.) We are now going to drive over the hill as it is quicker to be seen and MUCH BETTER care. If I can avoid this hospital, I will.

Experiencia negativa: Jeez, where do I begin with this. Well, there's a lot, too much, but the basic gist of it all - my grandmother was taken to the ER on Feb. 8, 2025, after falling twice within 24 hours; after two or three different kinds of CAT scans and an MRI later, it turns out she'd had a big stroke, caused by AFib (atrial fibrillation), on top of having gone through dementia for the last 5 years or about. She was kept for a grand total of FIVE DAYS, and the hospital could not get rid of her fast enough "to hospice care" on the 13th. Backing up a little, to when she first was taken to the ER, she got the attention and care of Dr. Pejman Mansourian. I really wish that doctors like Dr. Pejman Mansourian could be held accountable for giving patients, or loved ones / caregivers of patients FALSE HOPE on recovery; he was telling my mother and me about how, "she's a perfect candidate" on things like a Watchman for her heart, physical rehabilitation, "The good thing is we know what caused the stroke and we can fix it", and how we were going to get her back to walking and back to, well, as physically active as she was before the stroke... She passed away on March 4, 2025. Backing up a little AGAIN. She was admitted to the hospital on a Saturday, and was under his care for about 2 or 3 days, AND THEN when Sunday came, he told my mother and me that he "was not going to be in the next day, and that a colleague of his... the two of them run a clinic" and yadda yadda yadda. Well, his colleague, Dr. Vaheh Shirvanian, was basically all doom and gloom with us, going on about how "he's a realist", and all the complete opposite of how his colleague Dr. Pejman Mansourian was sounding. Oh, and come to find out, the two swap with each other for every 1 or 2 weeks, SO, we weren't even going to get to see Dr. Pejman Mansourian again for the duration of my grandmother's stay! Although, in hindsight, my mother and I should have listened to the second doctor; however, the two colleagues, should be on the same page as each other! So, the hospital discharged her on Feb. 12, and she came home into hospice care, where the LVN nurse, kept nearly scolding us daily, "SHE'S IN HOSPICE!", "THIS IS THE END OF HER LIFE!", and other similar things, because, NOBODY, I repeat, NOBODY!! Gave us any kind of a "hospice care 101", never told us what to expect or look out for, or explain to us what the point or idea of it all was, here again, since Dr. Pejman Mansourian was sounding like physical rehabilitation and the heart Watchman. We thought the entire time that she WOULD make a recovery! All while, the whole time with hospice care, all we were doing was giving her Lorazepam, Morphine and Haloperidol constantly, making us feel like that all we were doing was "keeping her drugged up at all times", but kept being told by the LVN that, otherwise she's just going to be agitated all the time and unable to sleep good. "She's a perfect candidate... we can put a Wathman in her heart... She can have physical rehabilitation and get back to walking again...", D-E-A-D as of 3/4/2025. I just hope that people beware of being given false hope on either themselves or loved ones that are admitted to this hospital, like we were. P.S. during my grandmother's stay in the hospital, she slept continuously, and would not even wake up when we visited, and when we asked any nurse looking after her what she had been given, we were ALWAYS told "nothing". Later, after we received the hospital bill, we saw on the detailed billing, how many times she had been given Haloperidol. SO, beware of the LYING nurses (which makes no sense anyway, when you get the bill later that states the truth).

Experiencia negativa: My son had an accident. He had a broken shoulder and had a gash on his foot that needed stitches. The ER was packed when I walked in to see him I was surprised to see these patients on beds with no curtains for privacy and it smelled, it felt stuffy and warm in there. My son was discharged after surgery, some hours later. It felt like a drive thru, just in and out. He said there was a male nurse that was so careless when moving him making the pain worse, knowing his injuries. He said one of the night nurses got mad at him and walked in so mad because he kept pushing the button for help so somebody can give him pain medication, they were taking too long. My son apologized for bugging but he couldn't stand the pain, she was nice to him after that. He had a follow-up with his primary, there was no notes in his file about the gash on his foot with stitches so his primary had no clue until the visit. His primary doctor was just shaking her head in disbelief. This hospital needs to clean house with their employees because you are able to feel the vibe of this hospital as soon as you walk in.

Experiencia negativa: UPDATE 2/22/2025.. my brother was admitted here 2/8/2025 . The first review I made was posted on 2/19/2025. I STILL STAND BY THIS REVIEW but will be changing up the wording to make an updated version of it.. This is just a review to address the quality of care my brother has received during his hospitalization. He was admitted following a presumed hit-and-run accident, requiring two extensive surgeries for major fractures. He was placed in the ICU with minor head trauma, sedated, and on a ventilator for two weeks. While we understood the necessity of this, we were consistently met with poor bedside manner from the neurosurgeon, who spoke down to his wife, myself (his sister), and our parents when we asked questions. His repeated response was, “The main thing here is to make sure he is breathing,” disregarding our valid concerns. The Day nurses in ICU showed a bit more compassion than the night staff, who, according to my brother’s wife (who stayed by his side every night), were rough in their care. One exceptional nurse, Gerome, stood out for his kindness and dedication, and we are truly grateful for him. On 2/16/2025, my brother was transferred to PCU, where the quality of care significantly declined. Nurses took 15–20 minutes to respond to call buttons, even for urgent needs like hygiene assistance. While we understand short staffing, it is unacceptable that my brother had to sit in his own waste for extended periods. Only one nurse, Ivan, provided consistent and attentive care. Additionally, despite our request for nighttime restraints (due to my brother’s tendency to pull out his tubes), staff neglected to re-secure him, leading to him removing his NG tube. When we raised this issue with a manager, we were told that we needed to remind the nurses. This is concerning, given that my brother’s mental state is not fully stable. Further issues arose with his physical safety. He has been extremely fidgety due to discomfort from his staples, causing him to hit his leg on the bed rail and develop a noticeable bump. We had to request additional padding for the rails, something that should have been proactively addressed. Beyond medical care, hospital security ticketed my sister-in-law’s car for “staying too long” despite her being present daily. When she addressed this, she was simply told, “Our bad,” and left to remove the sticker herself, which damaged her windshield. On 2/18/2025, the neurosurgeon abruptly asked my sister-in-law, “What is the plan for him?” in a rude manner, despite her not having been informed that she needed to establish one. He continued asking her every other day without offering guidance. The lack of internal communication between hospital teams is unacceptable. On 2/21/2025, my brother was moved to the 5th floor, which we were told signifies progress. However, the transition was mishandled. His new nurse openly gossiped about his restraints instead of inquiring about their necessity. The night staff’s negligence resulted in him nearly falling out of bed and pulling out another tube, spilling fluids all over the floor. When I arrived, the next morning that morning nurse had no explanation for what happened overnight. We requested a private room due to my brother’s complex needs, only to be told, “Private rooms aren’t a thing here.” While I understand room availability is limited, I also know private rooms exist and should at least be considered when medically necessary. Additionally, my sister-in-law requested a recliner for overnight stays, something she was previously provided in ICU. However, on the 5th floor, she was told it was against hospital policy. This inconsistency is frustrating, as the hospital’s own family experience team had previously offered it to her. I spoke to Richard Brown, the ICU/PCU manager, on 2/21/2025. He dismissed my concerns, claiming I wrote this review out of anger. That is not the case. I am documenting the inadequate care my brother has received, and as he remains hospitalized, these issues persist. This is not frustration—it is a call for accountability.

Experiencia negativa: One of the worse ER’s in I ever been to in my life. The staff was rude, eating in the area where sick patients are which is unsanitary. There were homeless people acting crazy peeing on floors just so much going on!

Experiencia negativa: I have been admitted here almost a month. All the nurses love to gossip around about the patients. They have even been in my room and talking someone two doors down the hall. They give suck bad attitude towards the stars. Even the majority of the Doctors. I just have surgery and been asking for my pain meds but the put me last then lie on my chart saying that I refused when the nurse hasn’t even spoke to me. The house supervisor is even worse. She doesn’t care about anything but herself. They took the Bipap just be careful I couldn’t use it because of the surgery. They are unprofessional and unethical! Antelope Valley Hospital is the worst ever! Even if the Doctor prescribes the medication the nurses what to act superior when they know their no. “Be careful what you wish for”

Experiencia fantástica: I've been through this Hospital multiple times, that says a lot about my Idiocracy lol...past experiences werent great overall-- however this last interaction with the hospital staff has been nothing but stellar, I used to work at a lot of hospitals so I see a lot of places and people that work in places like this.. my most recent endeavor with this Hospital has left me dumbfounded at how much they do and how much they care. I don't know what else I can say to explain how good they treated their staff, their patients, and everything else under the sun! SPECIAL THANKS TO TERESA!

Experiencia negativa: Completely wasted my time. The doctors are morons and I will notify my insurance company of the fraud they are committing and be filing complaints with the California medical board. And sue for malpractice

Experiencia negativa: Giving my 10 month antibiotics for the flu and he didn’t even have it. Is crazy. Please do better. Made me spend $51 on unnecessary medication and putting my child life on the line . Also waiting in the waiting room for 7 hours with an infant that has a 101 & 102 fever is insane and a high Respiratory smh. Y’all really just gave my son medicine without any help and seeing why but just guessing 0 stars

Experiencia negativa: I wanted to share some feedback about a recent call I had on Friday evening after Thanksgiving around 8 PM. I had to call a few times because the operator disconnected the call twice. I understand that everyone has tough days, but I was really surprised by the tone and rudeness I experienced. I know customer service can be challenging, but as someone who has worked in this field, I believe it’s important to remain professional and respectful at all times. Maybe a quick refresher on customer service skills could be helpful. Thanks for listening!

Experiencia negativa: Went to Antelope Valley Emergency room. The entire visit of 5 hours was fantastic, and the staff was very kind, except for the discharge nurse. I'll say she was kind but in an intentional evil way. I was told by this nurse that the provider (doctor) had gone home for the day. I asked the nurse if I was prescribed medications, and she said no. She gave me discharge papers, but I was in pain in a wheelchair, and I didn't read them until the next day. When I read the discharge papers, I found that I was prescribed three medications! The nurse then began to give me false information about treatments and illnesses that I was not at the hospital for. Some of her suggestions could unalive the average person who does not read a lot like I do. Two days later, when I felt better, I called the hospital and reported that nurse to her superiors. She reminds me of Nurse Ratched from the movie with Jack Nicholson entitled "One flew over the Cuckoos' Nest."

Experiencia negativa: Emergency center is really bad. Employees have a really bad attitude, Kevin M needs to learn some manners, make some eye contact , smile a little , at least pretend to like the job and dealing with people.. Stop eating Cheetos while checking in patients. Smh. If he is too tired, go home and some rest, its ok to give up some of the OT.

Experiencia negativa: 10 hours is unacceptable. Arrived at 440 pm, sent from Kaiser for stroke symptons, dr was called to nurses station for quick evaluation, believing possible Bell's Palsy, but couldn't rule out stroke since left temple had movement still wanted MRI done. After 5 hours of waiting questioning wait time since staff and patients in waiting room were all new and some being seen and released while still waiting was told they were waiting on the questionnaire to be filled out that wasn't brought out in the 5 hours we been there. 2 hours later called back at 11pm for MRI. which in that time frame questionnaire was lost. Was told results are out sourced and read by dr 1-2 hours later. Deciding AMA, but needed dr to sign it, although dr not available 3 hours waiting in the room, how is this even possible? At 215 am dr read results and we asked for the paperwork we brought in from Kaiser said they couldn't find it. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL.....

Experiencia negativa: Very bad service and care throughout different units. Nurses that talk about wanting more pay but don't actually want to or have the skills to do the job. I got to the emergency room at 7:46 in the morning, the Dr there said I had to be admitted because I had an obstructing kidney stone. I waited for an iv and a bed until 5:00pm that evening. The Doctor in the operation room and the anesthesiologist were the only ones that were caring and professional. After surgery the doctor from OR send me to icu unit because my blood pressure went really low during the surgery. The OR dr put me on a medication for low blood pressure and for precautions send me to UCI unit. As soon as I got to the icu Ron my nurse told me that I shouldn't be there that I wasn't sick enough to be there, he left me in the room and didn't check on me all night. The next morning a new nurse came in and she didn't even offer me any water. I asked her for juice a few times and she would say sure I'll bring you some right now but she never did.there is so much more I can write but I just want to conclude by saying that this has been my worst experience in a hospital. The people working are not there because they Want to help others in need , they lack empathy, skill, and passion for their job.

Experiencia negativa: This by far is the worst hospital I have ever come to in which to receive care. I am well qualified to say what I am saying because I have a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration and have worked at two of the biggest hospitals in Las Vegas. I would compare the flow of the emergency room as moving cattle with very little information being provided to the patient so they may understand the insanity. Arrived at 7:53pm and absolutely nothing has been done except moved from the emergency department to some very nasty room called the green room waiting room. Called to a room with a bed just to be told to go back to the waiting room and all I am waiting for is some type of medication (at least what I was told). I see why this hospital has a 2 star rating on Google and that is very generous. People are in here in pain, sitting in uncomfortable chairs making the pain worse and this staff couldn’t care less. The administrator of this hospital should come and visit this place at night. I have never seen this level of human suffering at any hospital I have worked in and I was an admissions supervisor so I worked directly in ER! This is sad!!!!!!! So four hours later after I refused to sign any paperwork for them doing absolutely nothing medical, the medication mysteriously appears! This place is a joke. I waited four hours for 3 pre-sealed vials of medication! This is on top of there was not one test or image done to see why my brain feels like it wants to escape my skull.

Experiencia fantástica: Great care for my wife in every stage of the process. Type 1 diabetic having a c section for the first time and they were very nice, calming, and professional for her. No data was lost between nurses and doctors, no mix ups or confusion. Would definitely recommend anyone having a baby here, they’ll be well taken care of.

Experiencia negativa: employees were rude, and the dr. gave me an incorrect diagnosis AND gave me unnecessary heavy medication. such as an ssri and benzodiazepine. I am a minor.

Experiencia negativa: Would not even give this place 1 star pile of trash place let's people that were in car accident with pain in neck spine and chest sit in waiting room ignores them when they say there haveing problems breathing and hurts under heart and chest pains and tell them your getting dizzy and falling asleep with possible concussion great. Hospital then they put u in green room next to someone coughing sneezing sick. Now I know why people here get staff infections and die.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to visit a friend here 9/5/24. While there, I noticed the nurses & Dr. took such good care of my friend but I'm posting this review because of a medical student that stood out in all the right ways. Her exceptional care & professionalism as a student blew me away! You made AV medical center 5 stars in my book, Amy Melgar & you will every other place that's smart enough to hire you.

Experiencia negativa: Antelope Valley emergency room, I was treated very unfair just trying to explain that I only take one Norco a day and one oxy at night I needed a stronger pain medicine for my infection I got no antibiotics given to me today for my upper respiratory infection I have green mucus coming out of my chest,I got no kind of antibiotics only eyedrops I clearly waited here for over eight hours, for nothing, I saw a physicians assistant named Jeffrey Miller when I asked to speak to the doctor he threaten to have security kick me out of the hospital I’ve never been treated like this at any hospital in Simi Valley or anywhere in my whole lifetime, I’m 61 years old a senior citizen and a Muslim respectable lady, i’ve never ever been in trouble in my lifetime, and I got clearly treated like a drug attic tonight, just because I asked for one Percocet I can’t believe what this world is coming to without telling Google all my business I had cancer over 20 times and I just finished chemotherapy and radiation treatments……..

Experiencia negativa: Brought my daughter here because she had a virus. Had a fever and was throwing up. I’ve been coming here for a long time and this is the first time that they had a bad service. Everything’s unorganized came here at 2:20 left at 10 PM. It’s ridiculous the amount of time to discharge. On top of that the place is so dirty I couldn’t stop coughing and I was so itchy.

Experiencia positiva: This hospital is the worse when it comes to the accommodation of family members who have gravely ill patients. It is understandable to have rules and regulations on visitation, but to have nowhere to wait is outrageous for a city like Lancaster CA. My mother was hospitalized there and we were made to wait in 110 degree weather. Some of my elder family member fell ill due to the heat, how ironic since it's a hospital. Dr. Smith in the ER is the best. He took care of my mother when she was brought in by ambulance. He was gracious and attentive, but most of all he reassured that he was doing everything in his power to help my mother. Dr. Jones in the ICU was also a great person and my family appreciated the time she took with us. The nurses in the ICU are amazing, they are the real Heros. My mom was there for a total of 15 days and they truly cared and were so helpful in every possible way they could. They treated my mother like a human being. RN Don was the only person I came across as somone who probably has been doing her job for way to long and has forgotten how to be compassionate and respectful. She blurted out confidential medical decision making in front of my young nephews who still didn't know the extent of there grandmother's condition.

Experiencia fantástica: The only reason why i rated this five stars is for the ER nurse Melanie she was the only RN to be as attentive as she was , nurses like her care and it shows . She helped my mother in law and I . I understand how busy the hospital can be but she was by far the only genuine person there . Thank you Melanie seriously .
