Experiencia negativa: The staff are very friendly. I did the week long program for FMD. I didn't get much relief since the program and my functional seizures have returned. I feel that the program should be more than just breathing exercises. What I have found most frustrating is the costs. I paid the $440 up front, then got billed $20 more. Then came into the program week and was asked to pay the estimate of what my co pay would be. Did that. Then shortly there after I keep getting statements saying I still owe a big amount for co pays. I checked my insurance statements and what I paid already covers all but $19. It Is like they didn't even apply my payment. I have left a couple messages to try to clear things up, and no return calls. I feel that it is a huge money grab with little results. My husband actually said in worse now than I was before treatment.

Experiencia fantástica: The Recovery Project is amazing. I have a loved one with a high level spinal cord injury who has been going to TRP for the last year. He loves his OT/PT team and really enjoys having somewhere to go that feels like another part of home. While he is not someone who expects to gain a lot of function due to the nature of his injury, his therapists work with him on his goals and what he is able to do to maintain strength and general mobility. They also have an FES bike which is a huge plus for someone who isn't able to use most of the therapy equipment on his own. Truly a place that celebrates patients, no matter what they are able to do.

Every specialist has shown such incredible attention to detail, patience, and willingness to teach. They really take the time to help each client grow through the recovery process at their own pace. I can only speak from my own experience and condition, but if you’re living with FND or FMD, I would highly recommend their clinic. Their compassion and dedication truly make a difference.

He arrived in a wheelchair and by the end of the week had returned to his baseline for walking. He had significant symptoms for 6 months prior to treatment. The results have been lasting, with only very short and few relapses. We were very thankful to find The Recovery Project and get into their FMD clinic with minimal wait time. The team is confident in their approach and we are so happy to see our son walking again.

Experiencia negativa: Sorry but my wife waited over 2 months to come here and was finaly hoping someone would help her. Now after 5 days she is in bed crying wanting to die necause nobody there did anything to help her get better. They sent her home with nothing but a piece of paper. They did not listen or talk to me her husband they just put her in a room and to do breathing exc. that you can get of utube for free. She can not move or walk any better one big waste of money and time. Please people just watch utube tv videos they are 10 times more help. This place is just another money scam.

Each session is packed with meaningful exercises that gently push me past my comfort zone. And the thoughtfulness and care from Alex, Jess and several others is genuine. It's hard work but I leave each session energized and feeling more confident. Now that my therapy has ended, I will take with me a wealth of knowledge to use at home, and more importantly a new and improved ME!

The program is an intensive 5 days of one on one treatment with outstanding Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychological Therapists, and Speech Pathologists. I received all the information and tools, with work on my part, to make life more enjoyable and be able to do the tasks I haven't been able to do in a long time. I totally recommend this program to anyone suffering from Functional Movement Disorder.

Experiencia fantástica: I am healing from an accident that resulted in numerous broken bones and serious complications. Initial and follow up phone contacts were informative and cordial. Staff encouraged a tour, provided great insight during the tour and gave us information to make an informed decision. Enrollment details and insurance coverage were detailed, helpful and technically accurate. Receptionist is kind, friendly and helpful. First PT and OT sessions were to assess my current status and develop a plan or program to help me. I feel like the therapists care about me and have tremendous expertise in helping me heal. They communicate my progress to me and to each other so we are constantly on the same page and can see the improvements. I leave each session with a clear handle on what I can do at home to keep progress momentum. I feel like they care about me.

Megan Reid is my therapist and she is very knowledgeable in her field. Every week she has new ideas for me to work on. She specializes in working with Parkinson's patients and people with cervical dystonia such as myself. I have been to many other physical therapy places and this is the only place that works one on one with me. All of the other places were always working with 2-3 people at the same time. Megan is with me the whole time working with me to try to resolve my issues. She sends me home with exercises to do after every appointment. If you are looking for a physical therapist, The Recovery Project is the place to go. They really know what they are doing!

Experiencia fantástica: Where do I start. My 15 yr old son started therapy at the Lansing location back in November ‘19. This was our last hope, he had done PT at two different PT locations for approximately 6 months..... they had released him because his nerves were not responding and for insurance reasons they couldn’t keep going. He was diagnosed with CIDP in July but symptoms began in December ‘18, he was losing muscle quick and the thought of him not doing PT was frightening. I didn’t want to let my son down again. The minute I stepped into The Recovery Project I knew it was different there. From day one, they had a game plan for him and always did their job with a smile, with a goal and a positive mindset that was infectious. One month in and we noticed small improvements, and every couple weeks after that was something new. I cannot thank the staff there enough for what they have done for my son, special thanks to Randee and Cam! Amazing people here who care and love their job. I don’t know what we would have done without this place, thanks for bringing my son back to normalcy and helping him heal both mentally and physically ❤️❤️
