Experiencia negativa: I’m disappointed in this facility… my loved one has been here for almost 3 years now and this place has been declining in its needs for its residents. My loved is not able to go shopping due to lack of transportation of her wheelchair that needs to customized to her needs , packages are being withheld due to “ not receiving “ when they do only to give me and her the round around of not seeing package or the contents of package being suspicious. Her daily activities have been revoked , due to unknown reasons . Showering does not have the capacity or equipment for her.

Experiencia negativa: I'm disappointed in this place and some of its staff. My father had recently been staying in this location for about four weeks. The admission process with Cristal was lengthy and stressful. I felt as if they tried any excuse to avoid my father from getting approved from long term care. I was told he didn't qualify at week one. After three weeks, I was finally able to get his PCP to visit my father, to provide that required documentation needed. Nurse Bridgette met with him and told the PCP everything they needed was now on file and assured my father was now approved. The following day, I then find out she couldn't even remember what she had talked to the doctor about and diagnosis provided. If you wish to speak or meet with social worker Miriam, she will roll her eyes as she speaks. Complain about her hours being cut and how they have her going all over the place. She wasn't the most welcoming. Almost feels as if you're bothering her if you wish to speak to her or have any questions. At first, I was impressed with the center's cleanliness and attentiveness from the first few nurses who cared for my father. A young man, especially, was always so polite and caring. Unfortunately, I don't remember and didn't write down his name. On the day my father passed, I called over 5 times, my siblings called another 3 times. Something told me he was not well and unfortunately, I do not live in Laredo. I kept calling, asking the receptionist, Cathy, to have the nurses call me back and even left two voicemails. Nobody bothered calling me back. NOBODY! I finally called the hospice agency, who had just started seeing my father two days prior and it was him who went to the center and gave me the unfortunate news, my dad was not doing well. I immediately headed to Laredo and after a 3 hour drive, got to the center 10 minutes too late after my father's passing. Still, I had not received a single call from the center. While I was at the center that night, I asked the nurse sitting at the nursing station, giggling with other coworkers, who my father's nurses for the day were for the day. The morning nurse was Claudia and the nurse who I asked, confirmed was his evening nurse, Melissa was her name. I let her know I kept constantly calling throughout the day, leaving messages, and I just walked away. After my father had been taken by the funeral, I walked towards the entrance, she quietly followed behind me without saying a word. I politely asked her to have a great night and she responded, "thank you". I cannot believe how inhumane some of these individuals were. No compassion, whatsoever.

Experiencia negativa: I’m very disappointed with the Director of this place, he overworks his loyal employees , without giving them recognition… employees don’t last here cause of the pay and the other things they make them do and at the end it’s the patients who suffer cause they don’t have people checking on them , this director doesn’t have enough supply’s for the patients it’s like he is saving $$ so he can get a better bonus at the end of the year. This place needs a new director who is their for the patients and his employees

The establishment was clean and staff was always available for any concerns or questions. The room and hallways weren't clean and staff was especially helpful and courteous.

Experiencia negativa: No one here answers the phone on the main line. I don’t know if they’re short staffed but families need to communicate with their loved ones. I’ve called during office hours, early in the morning, weekends, and their mailboxes are full and unable to leave a message.

Experiencia positiva: This place is great! The people working here have incredible hearts for the most part. Keep in mind that you must learn your rights before admitting a loved one in any nursing home. Raise any concerns you have. Speak to the physician taking care of your loved one. If your legitimate concerns are dismissed for whatever reason, get a power of attorney, witnesses, and begin documenting. In the state of Texas it is also permitted to install covert cameras for your loved ones as well, and you have every right to know how your family member is doing. These are extreme measures, and I only recommend if you truly think there is negligence or information being concealed. Their illnesses, and old age, is what makes these businesses. Be aware, visit, and cooperate! Keep an empathetic heart through it all and remember that well informed citizens are the best prevention against worst case scenarios. 4/5 stars.

Experiencia negativa: It's taken me 3 months to finally write my review, this place is awful! I intrusted my mother to this facility thinking that she would be well taken care off. What a joke! This place caused my Mother's death! Don't put the lives of your loved ones in this facility, they are careless & see your family member as just a $ sign.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible place as a nursing home, they never answer the phone, good luck trying to call to check on a family member. Personnel advise that they are under staffed and unable to attend to the phone, why have a phone if you can’t call??

She has a neat and beautiful room . The center is always clean and staff is great. My Mother is treated with dignity, respect and compassion. I always feel welcome and I can visit her any time. Experiencia negativa: I went visiting some one in this facility and last time I was there about 3 years ago it was great, now it was dirty and to noisy, I feel they need to consider others i don't feel is right for people to be exposed to this atmosphere.

Experiencia fantástica: A very clean and modern facility. Every professional was of the highest quality, all very caring. I really loved Luis Mauricio, the Assistant Director Of Nursing, he's helpful and gives fabulous tours of the facility.
