Experiencia fantástica: Eli ochshorn is a superb therapist who understands the workings of muscles and joints. I had arthritic pain from my back to my ankles if I stand for 20 to 30 minutes. After 2 sessions with Eli, I was able to stand for an hour. His continued care is focused on strengthening certain muscles so as to avoid excessive stress on my back. Great therapist.

Experiencia fantástica: So easy to work with, the therapists were always conscientious and we’re able to recall details of my recovery every time. Scheduling and logistics were easy to do. It was a huge help in both physical recovery and getting over the mental hurdles associated with that.

I've been to plenty of PTs where they have 5 people in at once and don't give you any real attention. That's was NOT my experience with Tom and I am grateful for that. I'll be back if I have any other ailments requiring PT.

I asked for PT and UM was very booked so I found Athletico and they accepted my insurance but needed referral from my doctor. As soon as they received the referral Abby called and we set up the initial appointment. Eli was my therapist and he is knowledgeable, patient, professional and gave me an estimate of how long my therapy would take. I am going twice a week for 1 hour and it’s amazing to see the improvement , the other days I also do 30 minutes of the exercises he sent me through their app. I am very happy with Eli and Athletico. I am going to the one on Jackson Ave.

Experiencia fantástica: I have only ever had PT through the U of M but they had an absurd wait to begin and so I ventured out to Athletico. I am so glad I did! Eli is skilled, intentional, and kind. He has a true healing spirit. I got past my injury and also am just feeling better in general now. I appreciate Abby at the front desk and Emily for her assistance as well. There is a great team there.

Experiencia positiva: First of all, we had great experience during the actual sessions with Eli, he is a very knowledgeable and experienced PT! But if you are self- paying without insurance, I do not recommend this place. The front desk is very lack of communication! They failed to let me know in advance about their follow up sessions are not private, instead, 2-3 people would be sharing the same PT during the same hour (but they still charge the same price). When I had some questions, they promised to emailed me back, but never heard from them again. If they had more professional customers service, I would be more than happy to recommend this place to others!

Tom Windle is the best and I highly recommend you see him if you have a similar issue. Tom makes sure to understand you as a patient and your injury and does not in any way shape or form rush your recovery. Before arriving I had lost hope that I would recover from this injury and I have never been happier to being wrong. Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend Tom Windle at Athletico. I finally decided to get some help with a hamstring and piriformis problem that I’ve been having for years. Tom created a home-based strength training program for me so that I only had to come in once every three or four weeks. After some manipulation, one dry needling treatment, and about 12 weeks of strength training, the problem just melted away. I was really impressed.

The entire staff is really friendly, the facility is organized and clean, and there is lots of 1:1 attention to help you get better. Months later when I had neck issues, Tom provided care on a quick turnaround for me by getting me in before some of his other appointments. I was in one visit able to do some exercises and stretches that took care of my issues with 3 days. Tom provided excellent care and provided me with further exercises and things to do on my own time at my home after the visit to ensure the visit was a success.

My husband has Parkinson’s and fell two times which resulted in two surgeries to replace his hip and then to repair a fractured femur. He was in a wheel chair when he started working with Tom and today he is primarily using a cane. Tom has a very nice manner and has very effective techniques. Tom has helped my husband to walk more erect and strengthen his legs. I couldn’t be happier with the care and therapy Tom has given my husband.

Experiencia fantástica: ADVICE FROM AN OLD GUY: For the past couple of years I have been suffering from chronic, low back pain. I have sought relief in many different ways and places (Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Epidurals, Ablation…Blah, Blah, Blah. Early on, my Chiropractor recommended that I work with a Physical Therapist to strengthen my “CORE” muscles. (In all honesty) I resisted because of all the anticipated “Work” and imagined “Pain” associated with that route. I wanted a faster, easier way. My shortcuts only produced very short term results…. I finally circled back and did what I should have done in the first place. I started working with Tom at Athletico in Ann Arbor. He developed a Treatment Plan and after 2 months I am much more flexible and experiencing much less pain. I would have been happy with a 50% pain reduction. I am elated at the 90% reduction that Tom was able coach me to. MY ADVICE…..Athletico !!!

I didn’t know how weak my ankle was until the first day doing a few ankle exercises. My inflexibility and pain started to slowly fade over time. Now I’m able to play basketball like I used to with confidence in my ability to move freely and without an ankle brace. Highly recommend this place. He was very knowledgeable and he quickly identified the issue causing the problem with her leg/knee. He was able to work on the injury immediately giving relief. He then sent our daughter home with a list of exercises to continue the rehab allowing her to be back on the court in 2 days playing at full speed. Highly recommend Tom and Athletico of Ann Arbor.

Experiencia fantástica: I fractured my ankle playing soccer and after I finally got out of my walking boot, I started going to Ben at Athletico for my physical therapy. Ben, Patty and Cory were so welcoming and honestly, going there felt like an escape of sorts for me during that rough time. Ben individualized my ankle rehab to my needs (CrossFit and soccer) and he and Cory challenged me to work hard during my sessions. He also took the time to get to know me as a person throughout my 6 weeks of treatment, which included a lot of great, meaningful conversation and laughs, too. Those additions (which a lot of practitioners do not necessarily take the time to do) made my experience with Athletico 10x more enjoyable. I always left my sessions feeling refreshed, relaxed (though often sweaty) and reassured that I was on the right path toward doing the things that I love again. Experiencia fantástica: I decided to go to PT after 6+ months of back pain. I’m a very active individual and love lifting weights but in doing so I was aggravating an injury I never addressed. I kept going to the chiropractor because I thought that’s what I needed but he never gave me any answers. After my assessment at Athletico I felt confident that my issue would be resolved. Ben was always very attentive listening to my questions and teaching me the foundations to get back to my active lifestyle. This week I am pain free and have been able to train again without my back bothering me. Ben also tries to understand you as whole to provide better treatment. Experiencia fantástica: I was referred to Ben at Athletico by my doctor for treatment of hip pain caused by osteoarthritis. Ben has been excellent at listening to my description of the pain, educating me about the underlying anatomy, and working with me on exercises to address the problem. My arthritis hasn't gone away, but my pain level has decreased, and I'm learning how to better live with it.

I travelled up North to continue my physical therapy on my Achilles Tendonitis from excessive tennis playing during COVID. He and his staff listened well and provided me with excellent tools to help me stabilize my feet, ankle, and legs and treat my tendonitis with great professionalism. Also, Ben was a great conduit to help refer me to a foot & ankle physician and even reached out to my physical trainer to sync with them so I was assured a successful rehabilitation. However, coming to Athletico for my physical therapy showed me I don’t. From my first appointment, Tom and the rest of the staff accommodated my every need. The exercises Tom had been teaching me truly helped and after a couple weeks it had already felt like it never happened. From the first call to the Athletico office, my experience has been wonderful. They made it easy to get an initial consultation within two days of my call. Since then I have had significant improvement. I would say that my pain is over 90% gone and I have improved the overall strength of the shoulder allowing me to do things more safely, including working out like I was not able to do prior to PT. I am a Physician Assistant, and Ben the Physical Therapist has taken a lot of time with me to review anatomy and explain to me the nuances of the exercises and why he is having me do them. I have really noticed a change in my every day life with my posture and how I am holding my shoulders. He and Alexis both have made the experience enjoyable and give amazing customer service! I would highly recommend this location. Also, as a side note the facility is always very clean, and they are abiding by Covid-19 distancing and sanitizing very strictly.

The staff are all business but very customer friendly. I like their hands-on approach, not just showing me what I need to do but offering me encouragement as I complete my tasks. If you are looking for a physical therapist, I would highly recommend Ben at Athletico. I went to Athletico because of frozen shoulder. I could barely move one of my arms because of it. After a month or so of physical therapy, I have most of the movement back in my arm. I struggled for a while with this problem. I just wish that I would have went to Athletico sooner.

My Physical Therapist was excellent, and identified the problem and created a comprehensive plan that has helped me heal and be able to enjoy sports again. Definitely recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: The facility is very nice, clean, and convenient, but the real reason to go there is to work with Ben Miers to resolve your injury issue. I developed a number of issues after trying to 'run through' a soft tissue injury which led me to being unable to do much without pain. Ben worked with me to correct the issues and strengthen the supporting muscles and structure to get me back on the roads.
