Experiencia fantástica: I cannot say enough good things about this team at Athletico! I am a distance runner and I came in with hip problems that expanded to my back as well. They addressed the pain and got me on track to feeling great. And they gave me all kinds of information for the future so I don’t injure myself again. They are all knowledgeable and easy to work with!

Experiencia negativa: It was difficult to schedule an appointment that was not rescheduled by them. Then second appointment “Winnie” put here elbows into my hips and had me do exercise. Hurt me bad, I could not walk normally for 3 days due to pain. I will not return . How can this be called “therapy”? Cost is extremely high for no results.

Experiencia negativa: The most horrible experience I've ever had. I was treated disrespectfully. My appointment was cancelled by Ben just because I was 10 minutes late because of a traffic jam on the road. I arrived at 6:10pm for my 6pm appointment, and the office was closed(Their business hours that day are until 7pm), I didn't receive any cancellation notice. My appointments were scheduled by Ben at 6pm every Monday because this is the only time I can make. They called me every Monday early afternoon, Just because someone cancelled the appointment they wanted me to change my appointment time and arrive earlier, which affected my work a lot, I always arrived on time for every appointment. I saw Ben 5 times, During the visits, he said he would send me the updated home exercises, but I waited for 2 weeks and sent him several emails, he kept delaying. My muscles are very weak, my knees and buttocks hurt, and I asked for help, but he ignored my pain. I called for the last time and Collin?said Ben will not be in the office for the next few weeks, He will be the only intern with another assistant. I cancelled the remaining appointments, Very sad....

Experiencia fantástica: First time ever needing any sort of Physical Therapy, and this location was amazing! I came in a few months back experience severe sciatica, and was almost immobile. After a few visits, I began seeing great results, and with continuing the program Ben made for me, I finished essentially pain free! Great overall experience, and would recommend to anyone!

Experiencia fantástica: Ben did an excellent job assisting with my niche injury. Most other health professionals I’ve seen have told me the problem should go away over time and that I shouldn’t worry too much unless it became significantly worse. Within two months the problems that arose were significantly lessened while training with him. Ben makes a significant effort to make all patients feel important and heard while maintaining a professional and enjoyable experience.

He also has two extremely capable future physical therapists, Caitlyn and Zac, helping run the show. To round out this Amazing Athletico team, Megan can help to make any logistic or insurance issues much easier. Sorry if I misspelled any names. As an athlete, injuries can be very disheartening. Not only do they mean you can’t do the activity that you love, but they also make you question the capability and reliability of your own body. This Athletico physical therapy team will give you the tools necessary to aid in recovery and rehabilitation but will also give you the confidence and reassurance to get back to doing the things that you love. After a pretty badly sprained ankle, the Athletico team helped me to recover and gain the confidence that my body was ready to return to play. Throughout my recovery, the Athetico team continually surprised me in the way they care for patients. Ben was always thinking of new ways to strengthen my ankle which included various exercises as well as dry needling to loosen my chronically tight calves. He and Zach even took the time to learn a little about ultimate frisbee in order to tailor exercises to mimic movements I would make on the field. What is most impressive about this team is the atmosphere they maintain in the clinic. I always felt very comfortable and valued during sessions. Ben once told me that he views his patients more like family members because he helps guide them through difficult times and watches them recover and grow. He is truly genuine about that and the rest of the staff is as well. If you enter the clinic at the right time, you might get the chance to participate in one of the many staff games like the March Madness challenge (shoutout Megan for the dub) or Love is Blind pick ‘em (which I can only assume Megan won as well). Games are just one of the many ways they keep the positive vibes flowing. Ben sums it up best himself: “We have nothing less than fun here… Nothing short of fun?... We have fun here.” Thank you to Ben, Caitlyn, Zac, and Megan for giving me a great physical therapy experience. I wish you nothing short of the best.

Experiencia fantástica: I came here because of some nagging leg pain from a half marathon that didn't subside for a week. I just got back into distance running earlier this year and really wanted to return to passion of mine that sat on the backburner for a little while. I never did physical therapy in the past, but with the persistent pain in my calves and quads, I thought it wouldn't hurt to at least get it checked out. Throughout my sessions, my tightness progressively subsided and I don't feel as sore as I have in the past after hard workouts since starting PT. I realized that I've been doing a handful of exercises and stretches wrong for years and I definitely feel a difference. The staff truly made my sessions amazing. Ben deeply cares about his patients and dedicates his time to get to the root of any issues. He goes above and beyond (even in the free assessment) to make sure you're doing exercises correctly and constantly checks in to make sure you're feeling good. Caitlyn and Zac were very personable and fun to work with. I got along with them so well and they felt like supportive teammates cheering me on as I regained my form and got stronger. Megan also made scheduling seamless and greeted me with a smile every time I walked in. The camaraderie in the facility was palpable and made me wish I was part of the team. I'll certainly miss coming here - I feel like a kid that just graduated school. Deciding to do PT was one of the best decisions I've made in my running career and I have zero regrets with reaching out. If you have any persistent pain or simply want to feel better physically, make that call now.

Experiencia fantástica: Words cannot describe how much this location has helped me with my road to recovery from my ankle surgery back in October. After having to transfer locations from Adrian to Ann Arbor I was able to to easily continue my treatment process that really helped me gain trust in my ankle and meet all of my personal goals. They listen to you and help assess the best path for your recovery and will work with you, they are also very flexible with scheduling which was something I greatly appreciated as well.I have to give tons of credit to Ben McCown, Zach, Meghan, and last but certainly not least Caitlyn who was an intern from Toledo and was a key piece in my recovery. Everyday coming in was never a dull moment and even though the focus was to ensure I was healthy they still kept it fun and engaging while boosting my confidence in my ankle. I was initially injured back in 2022 and 516 days later I was cleared to return to sport all thanks to Athletico, so thank you helping me return to the game I love and better than before!

Experiencia fantástica: Two months ago I came to the Athletico location on Washtenaw in Ann Arbor. I had hurt my back and shoulder and was experiencing a lot of pain and stiffness. Ben McCown, my new PT, was friendly and informal. Over time, he helped me believe, through a tailored exercise and stretching regimen, that I could get back to feeling like my former self. And it worked! Ben listened to me when I gave him feedback and fostered an atmosphere of trust. I was always treated warmly by Meghan at the front desk and Ben's intern from EMU, Zach. It sucks to be injured, and the prospects for healing can be especially daunting for older folks like me. There was a time after my injury when I was terrified that I wasn't going to heal. But Ben assured me that with the proper techniques and with effort on my part, I could resume living my life to the fullest. And, with Athletico's help, I've been able to do just that. Thank you Ben, Meghan, and Zach for helping me get my life back! I'm very grateful! I would highly recommend Athletico to anyone who needs physical therapy, and I would especially recommend Ben and his colleagues at the Washtenaw location in Ann Arbor.

From start to finish, the experience was outstanding, and I felt like I was in the best possible hands throughout my treatment. First and foremost, the staff at the physical therapy center were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They greeted me warmly upon arrival, and took the time to get to know me and my specific needs. They also made sure that I understood the process and what to expect from my treatment, which was very reassuring. The physical therapy center itself was spacious, clean, and well-organized. The equipment was modern and in excellent condition, and I felt like I had access to everything I needed to make progress in my rehabilitation. I also appreciated the fact that the center was open and airy, with lots of natural light, which made it a pleasant place to spend time. But what really set this physical therapy center apart was the expertise of the therapists. They were highly skilled and knowledgeable, and they customized my treatment plan to suit my specific needs and goals. They also took the time to explain everything to me in detail and answer any questions I had, which made me feel confident and comfortable throughout the process. Overall, I would highly recommend this physical therapy center to anyone in need of rehabilitation services. The staff, facility, and treatment were all top-notch, and I left feeling better than I had in weeks. The facility was always clean, I could schedule convenient appointments, and Ben And Zac were extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. I was able to recover from my injuries with confidence to continue my PT on my own. I will definitely be returning to this location for my future PT needs.

Experiencia fantástica: I've had PT for several ailments in the past at other locations, but for the first time I needed it for my TMJ. I was skeptical, but Ben knew what he was doing and in just a few weeks it's so much better. Hopefully I don't need PT again but I'll use this location if I do!

Experiencia negativa: I went here based on great reviews as I have been thru PT many times. Management changed in January 2022. I had 2 appointments under old management and was off to a good start With the new management I had less of the therapist time while being charged 2x as much with same insurance. I liked the people alot and sad this could not work out. Hope they work out the issues.

Experiencia fantástica: I saw Sheena last year for my runner's knee, and since then I've been able to run multiple races with zero pain. Recently I saw Ben for a pinched nerve in my neck that was causing pain so bad that it was hard to sleep. After a few weeks the pain is almost completely gone and I feel like I'm back to normal.

I ran the half marathon and aggravated it immensely I got the assessment and started rehab that next day. They work with you on Availability and they are dedicated to helping you all around. Experiencia fantástica: I came to Athletico with a right shoulder problem; no surgery or trauma, just a variety of tight/weak/overstretched muscles of my shoulder and shoulder blade. I was treated 3x/week for one month by Sheena Long, DPT, ATC. Simply put, Sheena was an awesome therapist! She progressed me right along each treatment session, and (safely) challenged me with a variety of stretches and exercises. Frankly, after one week, I started to see marked improvement. Toward the end of the month, she incorporated electric stimulation with ultrasound to release trigger points and decrease pain levels in my upper back/”shoulder girdle” area; this was exactly what I needed! Another aspect of therapy, which was extremely helpful, was their home exercise program, accessible online or through their app. Instead of having a folder with 34 sheets of paper, you could access your individualized home exercise program with videos showing you how to perform each exercise. Talk about efficiency! My overall experience was excellent, and I’d highly recommend Sheena and Athletico PT Ypsilanti. The atmosphere was very welcoming, from Cozy (the very friendly, kind receptionist) to the one-on-one treatment sessions with Sheena. If I had to go back for more PT (hopefully, I don’t!), I wouldn’t hesitate to return to Athletico PT Ypsilanti on Washtenaw.
