Experiencia fantástica: I had to turn down my life when experiencing severe back pain. It only got worse as I jumped through the hoops of doctors’ appointments and medical testing to finally reach a diagnosis: cervical arthritis, degenerative discs, mid-back bulging disc, and low-back bulging disc. I wasn’t sure if I would ever get back to normal. At Associates Physical Therapy, Nathan showed me how to reduce pain after the first visit. Nathan’s knowledge of physical therapy is complete and thorough. His teaching of right body movements is clear and compassionate. Not only did he encourage me, but he also made me feel safe and understood. His friendly team of Caroline, Shay, and Net made me feel welcomed and appreciated. I must offer my highest and sincerest recommendation for Associates Physical Therapy. They will teach you how to end your pain.

Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend Nathan Tumlison at Associates Physical Therapy, who did an excellent job creating a specific treatment plan which was tailor-made for my injuries/ body's needs. As a result of a severe car wreck, where I skidded off the road over a bridge and landed upside down on concrete pilings in a ravine, the impact crushed the truck cab and me causing multiple injuries. It is a miracle that I survived. After being in both neck and torso braces for my cervical and lumbar spine fractures for four months, I had two months of therapy at Associates Physical Therapy to regain my mobility and strength. Everyone at Associates Physical Therapy was always very welcoming, accommodating, addressing any questions and concerns. They taught me exercises to continue at home to enhance healing. I am now 99%-100% back to normal life. It was a very good experience for me.

We discussed any physical problems I have had since the last visit and adjusted my exercises if needed. Besides pt I learned more about incorporating other physical activities and even nutrition. His studio is calm with beautiful trees to view while working out. All the staff was caring and knowledgeable too. Associates PT helped me feel more in control of my orthopedic health without using machines in a gym.

Before I went to this clinic for physical therapy, I had done chiropractic care for low back pain and sciatica for years. I even did expensive decompression therapy but was still in pain at times. I do still believe in chiropractic care, however, the PT exercises he gave me really helped me to feel in control of my pain levels and feel like I can live my life the way I want to in terms of travel and mobility. If you are struggling with pain, you should definitely give Associates Physical Therapy a try.

Experiencia fantástica: I most recently required PT for post-operative meniscus repair and back pain. Choosing Assoicates Physical Therapy was an easy choice. I had previously used APT on a seperate issue and my husband and mother have also been patients. We have used Edward, Mary, David and Nathan and each were great at what they do. My review will address Nathan since he was my most recent therapist and the first time we had worked together. First impressions are very important and Nathan certainly passed that test. Nathan has a very friendly and kind personality so it made it a lot easier for me to try to explain all the issues I was having and not really knowing the right words to use. Nathan listened, understood and quickly started me on the road to recovery. As a patient we have homework to do and Nathan always explained what and how to accomplish it. Nathan got me back on track, laid out my maintenance instructions and made me a happy patient. The facility is always very clean, the atmosphere is always pleasant. Even if another patient is with another therapist at the same time it is all managed in a way that you are not distracted and you completely have the attention of your therapist. The office staff is also very friendly while being very professional when attending to your needs for appointments or any other issues. I would not even consider going elsewhere for PT. Experiencia fantástica: Its been three weeks since my last visit and I still have good results. I arrived with chronic neck and lower back pains. I worked with each therapist who gave me instructions and methods that eventually alleviated my pains. They helped me to identify triggers and taught me how to maintain my results at home. They use simple mechanical methods without a lot of unnecessary equipment. I am always welcomed back to Associates PT but I know that they take great pride in their patients maintaining good results without further therapy treatments.

They listen to the client and give excellent feedback on a resolution to your issue. Now when you go here you can expect a well informed diagnosis and a plan to attack the issue. You will also have to actually do work. There are no machines that do the work for you. So you get real life therapy, which I loved. Daily updates on your progress and you get exercises to do once you are home to maintain your progress. They all are amazing. Shay at the front desk was always welcoming and cheerful on every visit. Experiencia fantástica: I feel compelled to write this review about Associates because they are literally the BEST physical therapy clinic I have ever used. I've been through therapy at practically all the big hospitals in central Arkansas, and none of them ever seemed to do any good. Not to mention the staff didn't really care whether I improved or not. They just farm you through the clinic like cattle. At Associates, EVERYONE is your therapist. No matter who you're working with, everyone makes an effort to get to know you. They truly care whether you walk out of their clinic better or no different. And they work hard to ensure you walk out BETTER. I can say that in just four weeks of working with Mary and Nathan, I am already improved greatly in my ability to perform daily activities. After 10 surgeries, 7 of which were spine surgeries, I needed a lot of help. Now I can walk a mile and do what I need to do without pain. They've taught me exercises to do to even eliminate pain so I don't have to take medication for it all the time. This is the first time I've had to take physical therapy and actually enjoy and look forward to going in every week. I've never looked forward to it before! The staff is fantastic and if you put in the work, you WILL finish your therapy in much better shape than you started. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone needing physical therapy, especially orthopedic and spine therapy. These guys know their stuff, and more importantly, THEY CARE.

Experiencia fantástica: I was involved in a car accident a few months ago and was hit very hard on my driver's side. As a result, I began to have limited neck mobility, as well as a lot of neck pain and headaches. I started seeing Nathan at Associates Physical Therapy- someone from my office recommended them. I cannot say enough good things about the practice and Nathan. I got right in and they were always able to work with my schedule to accommodate me during my lunch break. We did some individualized exercises for treatment as well as some manual techniques. I was shocked at how quickly my pain started to diminish, and I started to regain mobility. After what I consider a short time, I am back to where I was before the accident. Before treatment, I was having trouble doing normal household chores and taking care of my small children. Now, I can run around and play with them just as I did before! I would recommend this practice to anyone seeking physical therapy treatment.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to Associates PT twice for two different issues close together. The first time was a shoulder problem that actually originated from my neck, and the second time was for an agonizing lower back pain that kind of ruined my Christmas with my family. In both instances, the problem resolved in 5 to 6 days using very simple stretch exercises. All three therapists, nathan, mary, and David are all equally skilled. Mary evaluated me both times and she clearly did a wonderful job figuring out the problems. Thank you thank you all of you!

Experiencia fantástica: Going to APT was the best decision I made with regard to my recovery from ACDF surgery. David was so helpful. Steroid injections offered no relief, so I went to APT. After going through about two months of therapy (2x a week), my pain level went from an average of about 6 down to about 2. I went from taking pain medicine every day to none at all (only on really heavy activity days). This place is incredible and so is the staff! I'm so happy with the results of my PT and would highly recommend APT to anyone dealing with pain or needing physical therapy!

Experiencia fantástica: I recently worked with this clinic for a fairly minor issue (compared to what a lot of people have) but they always made me feel heard and took all the time I needed in every session. They are warm and welcoming but professional, and they always prompted me for any questions I had regarding my treatment and future goals. I worked with David mostly, but also Mary and Nathan, and all three were top notch!

Using the McKenzie method, he was able to diagnose and improve my pain on the first visit. After a few visits, my pain was gone and I was able to maintain the exercises on my own. This method is far superior to other PT approaches I have tried in the past. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: All I can say is WOW... AND I THANK GOD FOR THIS PLACE. I arrived with no options but surgery. For 3 months my MRI was scary, my pain was like being electrocuted, my nerve damage left my left leg with no strength. Surgery was my only hope until someone told me about Nathan and his team. My case may have taken longer than usual but I was in a very bad place. 7 weeks later ... my pain is gone... my nerve damage restored and strength returning. Nathan told me not everyone responds to this therepy but most do and we would know within 4 sessions if I would be able to make progress with this method. I can't encourage you enough to give this a try before surgery. This just might be the answer to your prayers. They sure were the answer to mine.

Experiencia fantástica: I started going to Associates Physical Therapy from two broken hands. With certain exercises I was able to regain full motion in about six weeks. I also was experiencing some issues with my walking due, I thought, to my hip. They were able to identify that I was compensating lower back pain which resulted in referred pain. Again, exercises were able to resolve my problem and get my walking back to normal. Also I was experiencing pain akin to plantar fasciitis. Two shots at foot doctor unable to resolve fully, but a stretching motion revealed the problem was mechanical. So I am happy with the results and getting back to normal activities.

My family and I have used this group on three occasions over several years, for a variety of problems. As a Nurse Practitioner myself, I am a fairly good judge of quality medical care when I see it. Nathan Tumlison, Mary Persson and David Holmquist are the three therapists there, who work together as a very skilled team. A careful history is taken of your medical history and problem and then a very individualized plan is made for your therapy. No matter which therapist you see on your visit, it is obvious that they have reviewed your record to offer consistent continuity of care. Each carefully evaluates how you’ve done since the previous visit and then proceeds with an individually tailored plan of care to follow until the next visit. There’s a very holistic approach to their care- with keen attention to the mind, body, and spirit connection. Much time is spent on educating you about your condition and to prepare you for self care at home, either between visits or once you are discharged from therapy – I could go on and on….but you get the idea! And I would be remiss to not mention the front/business office. They are efficient, knowledgeable, polite and just a pleasure to work with. Appointments, insurance and referrals are all handled seamlessly. They are an asset and an integral part of the healing team, that I found at Associates Physical Therapy. Experiencia fantástica: Recently I had some mild pain in my upper arm. Everybody knows that when your arm hurts at night, you need to sleep on your other side. Right? Only that didn't help. So I went to Associates Physical and the evaluation showed the problem was my neck and my shoulder. But they didn't hurt. So even though Nathan has worked with us several times and always "fixed" us, I felt he was wrong this time. Well, he was right. Again. And the pain is taken care of, my posture is better, and I'm very, very grateful. He's really good at what he does and will be a blessing to you with his encouragement and his expertise.

Experiencia fantástica: This is my second time as a patient at Associates Physical Therapy (different issues each time) and they again treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism. My evaluation was very comprehensive, they listened, asked all the right questions, trialed a variety of different exercises and stretches to pin point what might be wrong and ended up determining that my knee pain wasn't in my knee at all, but referred pain from my lower back. Through a home program with various stretches we were able to knock out this knee pain within about a couple of months! I enjoyed everyone that works there from the therapists to the ladies working the front desk - I love their philosophy - I appreciate the amount of expertise they have and their ability to answer questions in a way I could understand - I love that they gave me the tools to do my exercises and stretches at home without the use of all the fancy equipment. They set you up for success during your time with them and after your discharge. I really can't say enough good things about this team. For any future PT needs.... I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Nathan was thorough in evaluating my case and implementing the correct movement/exercise for optimal results. Experiencia fantástica: I’ve spent over two years at another PT business where I made no progress in what everyone believed was a groin muscle injury. Finally I noticed that no matter what the injury, everyone was doing the same exercises. I gave up on that place and asked my doc for a new referral. He sent me to Associates Physical Therapy. The diagnosis shifted to my back and fully explained. I was assigned simple exercises for home and treated with professionalism and care. When I was there I was the sole client of David Holmquist. He didn’t shift among 3 or 4 other clients. Getting me better was his only concern while I was there. The experience was wonderful and my groin muscle (referred pain) is completely healed. So long as I stay active and do a couple of back stretches a day I’m pain free and have been discharged from PT. Associates Physical Therapy is simply wonderful and the therapists there can be trusted. Go to this place first! Don’t waste your time at the bigger more factory-like PT places. David Holmquist, PT,DPT was great! Ask for him.

Experiencia fantástica: The team at Associates helped me get my life back. It came as a shock when my doctor prescribed physical therapy as I was convinced surgery was going to be my only option. After meeting with Nathan for my consult and first session, I began noticing improvements. I was diligent and did the exercises and stretches at home, and over the span of a few weeks my mobility was back to 100%. I can not say enough about how great my experience here was. Their front of house team made appointments around my schedule and I never had to wait more than 1 minute in the waiting area up front.

He worked with me after that to prevent future episodes and his exercises were easy to do and had a great efficiency. I did not have to use any painkillers - just his excersises that immediately helped. Nathan is following McKenzie approach and it does miractles when it comes to lower back pain and other types of musculoskeletal problems. Everyone at the office have been friendly and welcoming every time I went through the doors.

Experiencia fantástica: There is so much I can say about this place Associates Physical Therapy. During my first visit with Nathan I could not lift my arm at all. The whole time I thought it was my shoulder that was in pain or sore but it was my neck. He did a few movements with my neck and I was able to move my arm more than I was moving it when I arrived. I looked at Nathan and asked what did you do to me. I had a few more visits and I am now able to raise my arm completely over my head. No meds, No surgeries was needed just some proper movements and the pain was relieved. In my latest venture, I was having this god awful hip pain. It hurt to walk, stand and even lie down. I went to all types of doctors to get some relief. My visits went from having a colonoscopy to an orthopedic doctor sending me for an MRI. Both doctors told me that there was nothing wrong. I had a CAT scan and an ultrasound performed. I was told time and again that there is nothing wrong with me, however I was still in pain. The orthopedic doctor said let's do some physical therapy. I went back to Nathan. Nathan had me do specific exercises and explained to me what each movement does to my nerves in my back. Now, after a few sessions with him I am pain free. Experiencia fantástica: I was having issues with my left knee being unstable. My knee would feel as if it was buckling and giving away. I thought I was going to have surgery. My doctor referred me to an orthopedic surgeon. He said he did not think I would need surgery and referred me for physical therapy. I went to Associate Physical Therapy thinking I was going to use a cane or maybe a walker. Nathan asked me questions on when it would happen, how often, and duration. He then suggested that I do some exercises for my back. I told him my back was not bothering me, it was my knee. Nathan asked me to try them and see. I did the exercises and the pain and unstableness went away. The next thing I knew I was walking and squatting without pain. I can not thank Nathan and his team enough. They gave me back my life without the worry of falling down. I am so happy to be able to walk without assistance. If you have any problems with your mobility give them a call. With the right stretches and exercises I soon had relief and asked them for help with pain in my hip that I'd had for over a year. Various things were tried until found the best exercises for the pain. Much better now and I'm able to do many things that were causing pain before. Experiencia fantástica: I experienced back pain for 8 months before finally seeking help. It had gotten to the point where it affected the quality of my daily life, including my sleep. I was worried that i would need surgery. I went to Nathan per a friends recommendation. He worked with me and got me to the point where i can live the majority of my days now completely pain free. Anytime that my pain tries to flare up, i do the techniques/stretches that he taught me and im able to strengthen it and be pain free again. Very thankful for his knowledge and help!

Experiencia fantástica: I had lower back pain on the left side of my spine for, going on, 20 years. I was told a long time ago it was probably a pinched nerve that, if it ever got worse, would require surgery. Within minutes of my first visit, Nathan was able to diagnose a bulging disc and after a few different stretches, we found something that almost immediately relieved the pain. My symptoms were intermittent and took a little bit of time to find the right combination of stretches but once we did, my back started feeling better and better every day. Now, after just a couple of months, I'm pain free and as long as I keep up with my stretches every day (which take no time at all out of my day), I remain pain free. Experiencia fantástica: I came in with moderate lower back pain that I’ve had on and off for the last 4 to 5 years. At the worst it was a 7 out of 10 on my pain scale. I’m not going to lie - the first couple of visits I was skeptical. How does just stretching eliminate this pain I’ve had for years? Well it did..as long as I did my homework, that is. Nathan had me doing the stretches he worked with me on every 2-3 hours. When I followed directions my back felt better..when I slacked and sat all day I could feel it tightening up by mid day. I’m a runner by my workout preference. I was worried all the hard work I had done building up my stamina was going to be lost. Well I’m currently training for a 10K and if I still follow Nathan’s golden rules then I feel great after a long run. Not only was he a great physical therapist, but the rest of the staff was professional, friendly, personable, and were so easy and quick to deal with. I’ll recommend them every time!

Experiencia fantástica: A number of years ago, APT helped me get relief from my bulging disc and showed me how to maintain it. I changed to a standing desk and all was well until the Pandemic hit and I started to work from home - at a sitting desk with a poor chair; result: hip and back pain. So off to Associates Physical Therapy. I’d forgotten how good Nathan and his staff were at listening, diagnosing, demonstrating, observing, and encouraging. Six weeks later, I have no pain and a set of exercises to keep the problem at bay from now on. Do yourself a favor and let them help you with your problem!

After using Associates 2 1/2 years ago and having this same great experience, when my ortho doc asked me recently where I wanted to go for PT, I told him definitely Associates Physical Therapy!

Experiencia fantástica: Nathan was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and clear about the process of figuring out what would help my C6-C7 nerve impingement. As a botanist with a background in scientific enquiry, I had theories about several things I experienced, some correct, some incorrect. He explained things very well and responded perfectly and supportively to some of my false presumptions. It took several weeks, and there were times when the pain came back and I got full of despair, but after dealing with low-level pain for a couple of years and then the worst pain of my life on and off for several weeks, I have been completely pain free and able to move my neck in any direction for almost 4 months now.

Upon my initial visit I asked how many visits would it take to resolve my problem and he replied if you do the assigned exercise homework probably 5 visits, but we will track as you progress. He was right, I did all the extra exercises at home and not only do I feel great now, I won't have a flare up again if I maintain what he taught me. If you do what he says you will be healed. Experiencia fantástica: I can't speak enough kind words about Associates PT. I have had low back pain for as long as I can remember. I have seen doctors, chiropractors, and have even done physical therapy once before. Chronic pain makes you crazy, and I felt as though I was spiraling down. My doctor referred me to Associates, and I skeptically went only because I was desperate to regain some quality of life. I left the first visit feeling hopeless and defeated (once again) because the exercises were initially very uncomfortable and nothing like I had ever tried before. However, because I was desperate, I skeptically did what the PTs instructed. To my surprise, over the next few visits I began to gain mobility in my back and relief from a lifetime of pain. I spent nine weeks working towards 100% mobility and maintaining it. I have never had hope of living pain free (think about that), but now I am. In addition, their office is clean, the employees are courteous, and they were able to work with my busy, working-mom schedule. I am so grateful for Nathan Tumlison and PT Associates. THANK YOU!

Nathan provided excellent guidance, pushed me to keep working at it, and ultimately gave me the tools I needed to keep pain away and functionality present. Experiencia fantástica: I was recently treated by Associates Physical Therapy for lower back pain that was severe enough to effect my quality of life. I was not able to lie down, sit, or stand comfortably, and anything outside of a narrow range of motion caused excruciating pain. From my first visit, the people at Associates made me feel welcome. The course of action to alleviate my symptoms and heal my back was elusive at first, but the therapist who worked with me, Nathan, was unfazed. He continued to investigate different avenues toward recovery with me until we found the right one. By the third or fourth visit, we were on track, and I was improving. Over the course of two months, the range of activities I could participate in returned to where they had been before my injury, and the pain disappeared. Nathan and the staff at Associates helped to get me back into good health, starting from what seemed to be a long distance when we started. I highly recommend Associates Physical Therapy.
