Fantastic experience: I just had the most thorough and detailed exam on could only ask for not only is my doctor ,Wissam Alajaji, a expert in cardiology but I believe he has a brilliant memory for giving detailed information from his schooling education and what he readings for a plan of action for my care. He is also really humble, polite and speaks clearly and looks at you with confidence. It was unbelievably encouraging knowing I am in excellent care. You can tell he is passionate about his work he drew diagrams and showed me test results explaining everything along the way. I hope he stays at Summa Health system for a long time

Positive experience: The staff are all great at the Sleep Office but Summa is not providing the equipment they need to provide comprehensive care. They have no way to take an accurate blood pressure if you need an XS cuff or an XL cuff. I was told they requested on XL cuff months ago as many of their patients need that size but it still has not been provided. Do better Summa!

Fantastic experience: Dr Jaykel, my spine surgeon, and his staff, are always incredible. They have restored my ability to live a normal and active life. Any time I have the slightest concern about a sensation I have in my spine or elsewhere, they always immediately address my concerns, have me in for imaging or a conversation, and get to the bottom of the issue, which so far about 2 years out from spinal fusion, have been MINIMAL issues and nothing at all to be concerned about. The peace of mind I maintain by having a Dr and team such as this is something you don't find in every provider out there. But I'm so so SO blessed to have had my surgery through Summa, and the encouragement this Dr gives me through all these great milestones is wonderful.

Positive experience: I am well pleased with the outcome of my surgery thus far. I had a good follow up with my surgeon's nurse practitioner. She explained the healing process and what I should expect. I deducted a star because I was hoping to visit with the surgeon himself. Call me old fashioned, but it would have been nice to look him in the eyes to express my gratitude. Dr. Pfefferle was seated at a screen with his back to me as I was leaving, so I took the opportunity to say thank you anyway.

Fantastic experience: My visit was with Danielle Buser. She’s a sweetheart! Answered all my questions, explained in detail what I didn’t understand and made me feel comfortable. Same with the nurse, I don’t remember his name but he was very nice and had a sense of humor. All my doctors except one are with Summa, haven’t had a bad experience yet in the last 5 years I’ve been going to Summa doctors.

Fantastic experience: This was a very good place to go for dermatological care. My mother, 101 years old, has a small cancerous spot that may need care. They listened to all our concerns and were going to confer with other specialists as a surgery would be much more difficult for her for to her age. They were all very professional and helpful.

I liked the demeanor of my doctor as some of their doctors have a reputation of lacking bedside manner. Overall a good visit and I will remain a patient.

Fantastic experience: I slipped and fell on ice in my driveway and tore my left quatriceps tendon off the bone. Called 911, they were with me in less than 10 minutes. I asked to be transported to Summa/Akron City Hospital. Everyone was kind, helpful, and caring from the emergency room, to x-rays, Doctors, Nurses, admitting, transportation to a room, anesthesia, surgery, recovery, floor nurses, food (it was all very tasty) and discharge. I don't ever want to see the inside of a hospital again, but if I need one Summa is the choice!

Fantastic experience: Met with Dr. Valerie Wolf and liked her a lot. She is very pleasant and professional.I believe she diagnosed my problem correctly and gave me a cortisone shot which has greatly improved my pain. I will followup with her in 8 weeks. In reading her notes in my chart I appreciated the fact that she actually referred to me by name. Most doctors say "she" or "patient", as if we don't even have a name. Since my problem involved my thumb I'll give Dr. Wolf a thumbs up!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with the orthopedic surgeons and specifically Dr. Pefferle at Summa Hospitals. I just had my one year visit for hip replacement surgery and am so pleased with the results. It changed my life. Everyone in the office is very informative and answered all of my questions in a kind, professional manner. Highly recommend!

Positive experience: I like going to white pond cause it's not far from my house, Dr.Junko is my foot Doctor there, from the very first time I met him I was pleased with him, he had the keep of spirit that put me at ease, after going to him for a while, I finally told him I was ready to have the surgery he had suggested, my surgery took place on November 14th of last year, I was hoping that the surgery I needed would take me out of my misery, it's coming upon a year in November and I'm sorry to say, I don't have the results I was looking for, I'm not saying nothing bad about Dr.Junko cause he is one of the nicest Doctor I have had in a long time, I just really wish I could had got the kind of results I was looking for, I'm still miserable but I'm making the best out of this situation

Negative experience: The only reason I am giving 2 stars is the receptionist was courteous and I liked the doctor. I waited 1 hr. in the waiting room and another 1/2 hr in the room. My visit was uncomplicated, no problems just prescription refills, out within 1/2 hour. My blood pressure was first taken with incorrect technique causing a falsely elevated result. The only other time I had high blood pressure was 1 year ago at this same office for my very 1st time, also taken with incorrect technique ( I am a RN/NP). I told the person who took it when she roomed me.She replied "The doctor will recheck it". He did it properly; it was in normal range. Why should a physician have to take extra time to get a correct BP reading? What if I had not requested it to be retaken? Someone (UNLIKELY an actual health care provider) is packing the schedule.The woman behind me left angry after waiting 1/2 hour and realized I had already been there 45 min. and was ahead of her. She said she scheduled for a different day but told it was this day when she called to confirm and cleared her schedule of all appointments. She left the office angrily loudly saying "poorly run" on her way out. Technology is useful but cold and time consuming requiring scrolling through various electronic pages instead of just viewing a chart that makes sense and communicating with the patient. Today's high tech, insurance and profit driven atmosphere has little concern for "caring", (hence it's name "health care"). My time is precious too.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Albainy does a wonderful job of discussing and advising me on my health care needs. Kind and excellent at communication. I’m sincerely grateful to have him as my primary care physician and also Joan. I literally didn’t even feel the needle when she administered my flu vaccine. Thank you both and the entire staff!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Rabe and staff were great. Totally exceeded my expectations. The care, concern and focused attention on me as the patient did not go unnoticed. I usually dread going to the doctor, but I'm actually looking forward to seeing Dr. Rabe again very soon. 10/10 recommend.
