Experiencia negativa: This was by far one of the strangest professional interactions I’ve had in the medical field over the past decade. The receptionist and other staff were very kind, but the head therapist McKay seemed irritated and disinterested the entire time. During the initial checkup, he appeared annoyed by every joke and stared at me blankly as I described my injuries and how they had affected me. It felt like he was bothered that I had so much to say, as if seven years of chronic pain wouldn’t have a significant impact. There was no empathy or interest. When the physical therapy began, he did nothing beyond briefly explaining each exercise before walking off to talk with other staff. He never said anything like “make sure you focus on form or speed on the way up,” (which has been customary ant every other pt I’ve been to) and he didn’t explain how long to do anything. For example, he just said, “this one will be squats,” started a timer, and walked away. He never checked in to ask how things felt or if I had any concerns. The strangest part was that he had me do several minutes of single-leg calf raises on my left side, which I had clearly told him was completely fine. He never explained why I was doing them or what the goal was. The whole interaction felt disconnected and uncaring. At first, I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt and figured he might just be tired. But after talking it over with others, especially considering how engaged he seemed with other patients and staff, it became clear that his behavior wasn’t just a bad day. It was unprofessional and inexcusable. I leave an extra star just for the other staff as the receptionist was extremely sweet and kind and the other two staff seemed excited and engaged. EDIT. when cancelling my following appointment McKay answered the phone and did want to talk about the experience. He seemed genuine and did make efforts to understand or mend things. It came off as sincere. Though I still stand by my experience and my review, that was worth noting. He was not angry or vindictive in any way.

Experiencia fantástica: If you have any sort of physical ailment, this is the team to go to. Everyone working here is phenomenal and McKay is nothing short of a PT genius. It might take a couple/few weeks, but the results are real. That sounded so much like an infomercial, but they are legit. They push you when you need to be pushed and ease up when it is the time to ease up. Their knowledge of physiology is so profound that they regularly develop new and effective movements tailored to your specific condition(s). On-going back issues, tendonitis, knee inflammation, traumatic old injuries, and traumatic new ones, McKay and his team are the folks you need to see. Trust their process and you will achieve results. I’ve been in PT since I was 9 years old, and I can honestly say this is the best group to work with. The best part, they make it fun! Give them a try, you won’t regret it!

The team here were invested, encouraging and refreshingly non- judgemental. McKay and Lisa, along with their dynamic techs and staff, made a very painful process much more fun. I laugh every time I come in, (I also cry, so make of that what you will) great team, great location, all around happy I found them.

I've had so many surgeries on my knee and struggled so much, but they've never made me feel like I'm failing and have never caused me pain. I love how they respond to my feedback in the rehab process as well! I am snowboarding and golfing in better shape than I started for sure.

Experiencia negativa: This place practices very unethical billing practices and takes no responsibility for their own mismanagement. Their receptionist told me all my sessions were covered by insurance, and that if there was any issue with my insurance they would notify me. I heard nothing for 3+ months, attending twice per week. Then out of the blue they send me a $3,000 bill, saying my therapy wasn't covered by insurance after all. I made several good faith attempts to settle the matter fairly, offering to pay half the bill. Instead of having an adult conversation and recognizing any responsibility, McKay, the PT practitioner, decides to cut off all communication with me, saying he has to "draw a boundary with me" because our conversation was too triggering for him. After a year and a half of calling their accounting department multiple times to find a fair solution, they instead decided to send it to collections, claiming I owe $5,000 (you know, because they would made a 44% interest rate. That's fair, right?). Not bad people, but very, very confused and misguided about how good businesses treat customers. Some of the most unethical, inconsiderate business practices I have ever encountered.

I feel the hand exercises he had me do has made a big difference and I think it’s going to prevent me from having carpal tunnel surgery. Thank you Shad.

I only wish I had found him right after my surgery, I was not able to regain full use of my hand and had questionable wrist strength with my original PT. Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend this center. Please find the detailed reasons below: A few months ago, I have had two major problems: 1- My foot was numbles and I have had back pain. Dr. Dave Moss determined the problem, made the treatment plan and continuously monitored my situation. Now, I feel much better, back pain disappeared completely and my numbles decreased substantially. I have had this problem for several years, and I have tried several different ways before. 2- My tennis elbow: I started to learn the tennis a few months ago, and after a while I have had elbow pain after each tennis game. Dr. Bibianna Lee’s treatment removed pain completely after a few sessions, then she made a plan to strengthen my elbow. Now, I don’t feel any pain after playing tennis. I think Hand and Orthopedic Physical is an awesome and friendly center with knowledgeable specialists to remove the body pains, and fix the problems.

This location has 2 patients at a time and the therapist will evaluate you everyday to make sure you are being pushed just the correct amount. Love going to therapy here. After 4 knee surgeries and previously having therapy in all major cities on the west coast. Hand and Orthopedic was by far my favorite place for physical therapy. Thanks!

When I began with Dr. Moss I had to re-learn to walk and when I graduated his program I was mountain biking, hiking, and snowboarding again. Experiencia fantástica: I saw Dave Moss for a cervical spine/neck muscle issue that I have been dealing with for about 6-7 years. I had previously tried chiropractors, massage therapists, acupuncturists, and even medications to try to get some relief from the headaches I was having. Finally, I tried physical therapy and Dave has given me the most relief from my headaches. I only have them occasionally now, and when I started therapy with him I was having them almost everyday. I'd seen several other Physical Therapists, and sought other treatment paths and I was pretty hopeless about my recovery at that point. Dave came up with a new treatment plan that we started right away. He gave me hope, and I immediately started to see results. Dave also laid out all my options & empowered me to seek a consultation on a second surgery (something I was reluctant to do). But I knew I was in good hands for my recovery. I'm walking normally, with full extension in my knee for the first time in 3 years. My quality of life has improved tremendously, and I will forever be grateful for Dave. Dave, Chantay & Jackson always made the environment welcoming & you could feel that you weren’t just a number on their schedule but that they cared about you as a person. Great team!

Experiencia fantástica: Every time I go in, I am greeted by the wonderful Shante. She’s always cheerful and is very helpful with scheduling, billing and what not. The best thing is that while my insurance wouldn’t pay for enough sessions, she somehow managed to get them to agree to 4 extra sessions, which means she’s a miracle worker. Dave Moss is a fantastic physical therapist as well, from the first session he was able to get an at-home exercise plan that was tailored to my needs. Later on, when I expressed concerns about my knee feeling wobbly and unstable, he was able to figure out that my patella was slightly de-tracking just because my muscles weren’t quite strong enough to hold it in place. His reassurance that nothing went wrong with my meniscus recovery made all the difference. Jackson was also very helpful in pushing me to work harder to get my desired results, and it’s always fun to hang and talk to them, makes painful physical therapy almost seem fun :p Anyways, if you’re considering where to go for physical therapy, I would definitely recommend this place!

I was antsy to have my motion and strength back. Hand and Ortho did a great job fulfilling my hopes. Everyone is really nice and cooperative. I had tried everything to get rid of the pain in my upper back and numbness in my hand. Nothing was working and I was close to looking at surgery which I wanted to avoid at all costs. But I was having trouble working more than an hour at a time without having to stop because the pain was so strong. 13 sessions later and the improvement is far beyond what I ever expected possible. I am back to working full days and am so relieved that I don’t have to get surgery. Dave and his team truly cared for my well being and progress - helping me improve to where I am today. I worked extensively with Dr. Ozaki for about 7 months following two separate surgeries to repair my badly shattered fingers. I had a great deal of anxiety around the injury and Dr. Ozaki went above and beyond to help me deal with not only the physical aspects of recovery- but also to help me with the mental aspects of such an injury. Her skill and vast knowledge as a physical therapy specialist was truly impressive, and the fact that she is warm and kind and very patient, makes her a joy to work with. I had a very difficult case due to significant soft tissue damage but Dr. Ozaki never gave up on me. She continually tried new techniques and treatments tailored to my specific issues, and I honestly do not believe I would have recovered the use of my hand without her tireless efforts to help me. Dr. Ozaki is both an incredible doctor and a lovely human. Special shout out to her staff- Kylie, Will and Duncan who were absolutely wonderful to work with as well! I actually looked forward to my PT sessions because of how cool the whole team is. Highly recommend.

Until the time I started therapy until its conclusion, I was able to see a great deal of improvement in the areas of strength building, flexibility and motion. In addition, I have developed better balance and control throughout my body, noticing this element walking, exercising and basic everyday getting around. I will take what I have learned and continue with the therapy at home.

Experiencia fantástica: In addition to years of experience, Dave brings an attention to detail to each person’s recovery needs/goals, personal life, and overall health that I have not found anywhere else, and completely recommend. Each person gets a personalized recovery program tailored to their specific needs (in my case an ankle) which reflects the experience and thoughtful listening of Dave and team. Also important to me, the environment is comfortable and friendly, and I never once felt like I was being judged for my ability/inability to perform an exercise. Experiencia fantástica: I had surgery on my ACL and Dave was amazing at helping me recover. He created an easy, but effective home program for me to do everyday and I came in twice a week. Dave and Jackson are very attentive/knowledgeable and will push you, but are also very aware of how hard some of the exercises can be. I definitely recommend them if you want a good recovery and you are willing to put in the work. They helped me recover way faster than I thought I would after surgery!! And scheduling an appointment was always easy for me, they have good availability and you can book weeks in advance.

Experiencia fantástica: Spencer was an incredible help after I broke my arm. He always had a professional, yet fun atmosphere. His knowledge about the latest therapy techniques were stunning. Upon my first visit he told me told me he didn't believe in "pain therapy." He told me it was outdated and he was true to his word. Never did we do exercises that caused excessive amounts of pain. After months of work I went from nearly no mobility or strength in my left arm to almost getting back to full strength. I am eternally greatful to Spencer and the incredible staff at this facility. Experiencia fantástica: I worked with Spencer and his assistant Duncan on an injury that I had sustained 6 months prior which was not showing signs of improvement. Spencer is knowledgeable, patient, spends significant hands-on time, and clearly had direction and a plan with regards to my care. After four sessions, which I could purchase ahead of time for a small discount, I am not yet over the hump but I am certainly much stronger, more flexible and know what to do to continue the healing marathon of this issue. I do have health insurance which this group does not accept, but it was totally worth it to pay out of pocket for such amazing, quality care.

They were willing to work with me when things came up and to go at my pace of strengthening and healing. Overall I had a great experience and came away feeling physically stronger and more confident in my knees, that were previously injured. If I ever needed physical therapy again I would come back to this facility.
