Thankfully, I went to the office for 5 visits. Now i am like new, i can move my arm and lift objects, i am still working to get to a 100%. But otherwise this office was a god sent.

The other places I went to were good but there is a clear difference between good and great. Gene and the Gramercy Physical Therapy team are on another level. Other places I went to I only got 15 minutes of one on one time working with the physical therapist. And in many situations I would be working with an assistant - someone who simply didn't have the experience needed to help me with my mobility challenge. When I come to GPT I get a full hour of working with Gene or Steve both who have immense knowledge, patience, and understanding to the difficulty of my situation. Most other physical therapy places you won't give you this much individual attention and you won't get to work with someone of this level of competency. Experiencia fantástica: Gramercy Physical Therapy is a fine rehabilitation center and the best one I have ever used. It was highly recommended by my previous physical therapist. Both Ayushi S. and Sharwari W. with their extensive knowledge, varied exercises and encouragement, made my recovery from total knee replacement much easier. I was also given an app on my iPhone with exercises to do on the days I wasn’t there. This is a large facility with all the equipment one needs to exercise and it is always clean. The staff members were both professional and friendly. I always looked forward to going to Gramercy PT and will miss my visits. I highly recommend it to everyone.

In particular, I've been working with Stephen on my ACL rehabilitation and back problems. He's extremely knowledgable and has taught me so much about how to heal myself. He's also extremely careful and makes sure I don't do too much too fast. I'd recommend him and any of the other therapists at GPT to anyone!

Experiencia fantástica: Been going for a bad sports ankle sprain for ~a month, 2x a week. It's my first time doing manual PT and was pleasantly surprised. Gene has been awesome and great to chat with while he works his magic. Already, I'm doing plyometrics and I feel confident in the team's work on my recovery. Delia is super easy to work with in scheduling and billing. Cannot recommend this place more!

Experiencia fantástica: Having the team at Gramercy PT alongside me for my rehab from achilles surgery was so crucial to that going well. The team is exceptionally CARING, empathetic, and offer the right balance of pushing me to push myself & not over-do or "skip steps" along the recovery path. Other facilities might be physically larger, but what your getting with Gramercy PT is a group of people who will genuinely care about your well being & quite frankly, that trumps everything else in a rehab IMO. I would 100% recommend Gramercy PT for anyone who is about to tackle whatever rehab/recovery has come their way.

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot recommend this place enough! I needed PT for my neck and shoulders and I was lucky enough to work with Gene, Nathan, and Tessa. All three of them were lovely to work with and very good at what they do. You can tell they really care about their patients. They each got to know me as a person and really worked with me to build a program of exercises that, by the end of my treatment, completely eliminated my pain. They also have private rooms which is a great plus. Delia, the office administrator, is great to work with. She remembers every detail about what we’ve talked about in the past and follows up to make sure everything is going smoothly. She made it easy to make an appointment and worked with my schedule. Overall lovely place, and though I’m happy to be pain free I will genuinely miss seeing everyone who works there each week.

Experiencia fantástica: Gramercy Physical Therapy is the platinum standard when it comes to PT facilities. From Delia at the front desk to all of the therapists I have worked with, I am overwhelmed at what a wonderful place this is for rehab. I was told months ago by two surgeons that PT was a waste of time for me, as I have severe bicep and rotator cuff tears. Well, In combination with other noninvasive therapy I am receiving, the PT therapy from Gramercy has made all the difference in the world in my road to recovery. I am so happy I found them!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I can’t recommend Gramercy PT highly enough. The therapists are extremely knowledgeable and I was treated as a whole person, not just a pair of poorly functioning knees. They are kind, concerned, eager to see you progress, and adjust your therapy based on your feedback. There are three private rooms designed with relaxation in mind (nature-themed art and photography, soft lighting and music) where heat application, massage and joint manipulation happens. Unlike “big-box” therapy, in which therapist stations are separated by hospital curtains and you are left on your own in a large gym with instructions, but little guidance; the GPT experience is much more personal and conducive to healing. The gym area is small, but contains sufficient equipment for people’s needs. Drs. Chen, Shenker and Stuimer are great as is intrepid office manager Delia!

I also was treated by Jean whose approach is different, but also very professional and friendly. Experiencia fantástica: I am so appreciative that Gramercy PT offers the kind of manual and exercise treatment ( e.g., muscle energy, medical massage, targeted at-home exercise program with supervision) that actually relieves the kind of complex musculoskeletal pain I have. Gene is the best PT I've ever had and I am getting real results for once; he is all-attention and problem-solving when he is treating you. I've only seen Tessa for PT once so far but she's also a top PT who provides highly individualized care with an emphasis on injury prevention. The at-home exercises I am doing "make sense" and I look forward to doing them. Delia runs the front of the office and makes sure that appointments and insurance issues are handled accurately. Everyone in this practice is friendly and down-to-earth and there's a nice relaxing vibe.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been coming to Gramercy Physical Therapy for about 3 months now. I've seen Gene and Tessa 50% each and I go 3 times a week for my lower back. (herniated disc, bulged disc, all the good stuff down by L4-L5-S1).. They communicate well with each other and I feel it doesn't matter who I see because we work together towards a common goal and we pick up where we left off. In my experience Gene tends to be a little more hands on with the massage, goes really deep and stretches you out. However, lately we've been incorporating more exercises as well. Tessa does a bit of massage as well but has been a little more focused on stretching and exercises. It's a good combination and I would suggest seeing both, maybe you respond better to one way vs the other. Overall, they're both great and I've seen loads of therapists over the years! I highly recommend booking a visit.

Experiencia fantástica: My 85 y/o mother fell on the street, with trauma to neck, shoulders, arms, chest and legs. She had intense neck pain, day and night, unable to sleep due to pain. Hospital ER sent her to Physical Therapy. Gene and his team took care of her. They are highly professional, knowledgeable, very compassionate and respectful, and have a great attitude. Experiencia fantástica: I’m very happy with my care under Gene so far - I’ve been seeing him for an ongoing plantar fasciitis issue which I’ve been dealing with for over a year. I’ve seen at least 3 other physical therapists, & Gene was the first to recommend completing a gait analysis. I was surprised since I always mentioned I run hundreds of miles each year, and have completed 6 marathons over the past few years. The office associate, Delia, was courteous and welcoming and set my first appointment without a hitch. But this was just the beginning. From the start I’ve been treated like a member of the family. My physical therapist, Amy, is beyond wonderful. Treatment of my rotator cuff started immediately. I was ushered into a private room with dimmed lights and mellow music and my shoulder got a heating pad that felt heavenly. Then Amy did a shoulder massage that felt absolutely delicious. Amy’s skillful hands knew where the pain was and she did her magic to alleviate it. In the course of my following visits Amy designed special workouts for my shoulder and patiently monitored me so I would do them just right. She also gave me a series of exercises to do at home. I highly recommend Gramercy PT to those who want a professional and personalized treatment with physical therapists of amazing know-how, skill and tender loving care.

By physically manipulating my knees and legs,and other exercises,much of my pain has been alleviated. After a month of treatment I was feeling better and better every week. But the few acupuncture sessions was the grand finale and it was all gone! Experiencia fantástica: Working with Nathan and Gene this year has been a blessing sent. I was experiencing shoulder issues in early 2019, which an MRI revealed as a partially torn bicep & labrum. After a few months of therapy from April through July, any pain I had been experiencing in my shoulder was gone and I was able to go about my regular daily activities without feeling held back. I recently re-aggravated my injury in early November (my fault completely) and there was no hesitation on where I needed to go and what I needed to do. My daughter was treated for a painful knee over the Summer and the services provided at this office was amazing. Tess started the treatment process. She was warm, thorough and amazing. As an expert, she wasted no time in narrowing down on the problem by warming up to my daughter. Gene saw us on our next visit and he was equally amazing. In addition to treating pain in the knee, he addressed posture and took time to educate my daughter. These experts worked. collectively and left no stone unturned in engaging and ensuring that my daughter was completely healed by the time we left. That is outstanding! service. Delia was always pleasant and exceptionally patient in making appointments. Wait time is very minimal. I sometimes missed my appointment but she accomodated me. Experiencia fantástica: Where can I start? I just love, love the results that i have received via Gramercy Physical Therapists. I began treatment there about 2 months ago. I have misaligned vertabrae and most recently a horrible bout of sciatica with a bulging disc. Even though i had been receiving great chiropractic care elsewhere, it wasn't helping my sciatica. I was limping, taking 6 advil daily. Basically unable do stand more 15 mins. The first visit, i met with Vlad who spent a deal of time thoroughly getting feedback on my history and assessed what exercises we would start with and giving me a sense of when i should start to feel better.by the 4th visit, i was standing straight and limping a lot less. I should mention that i also had a few sessions with Gene also (simply an awesome human being). Those gentlemen are masters of their work. They are extremely skilled and they are attentive and if your having a really bad week, they will adjust your treatment to accommodate. I am now running back on the treadmill, doing squats, AND no more meds! I am now able to manage my stiffness so that it doesn't escalate. Also, the hours available are amazing. I go mostly saturdays which is perfect for me. If you have any doubts, don't, make your appointment with , Gramercy Physical Therapists.

Experiencia fantástica: I have had experience with another firm in the past, and I was a bit soured on PT. Years later, I now have nerve damage in my leg, and put up with barely being able to comfortably walk it for two months. My neurologist recommended Gene at Gramercy PT, and after two visits with him, and carefully following his exercise instructions, my strength is returning and I'm moving around so well! Gene is extremely knowledgeable, and has an excellent personal manner, and the surprisingly positive results just give this entire experience an A-plus. The office is clean & comfortable, they are always on time, and the administrative staff (Delia in particular) is friendly and efficient. One day on my way to PT, I fell in the street. They whisked me in, patched me up, and I was no worse for the wear. I highly recommend GPT.
