Experiencia fantástica: Liz Scarpelli is wonderful, I can't say enough about her practice and skill as a physical therapist. Because of Liz, not only have I avoided surgery, but I have recovered the use of my hand and the elimination of pain. Liz understands perfectly how your full body works and helps your body heal, recover and improve so you don't suffer anymore.

I went in to address shoulder pain and by the end had eliminated the pain, and learned a lot about how all my muscle work together and how to be more mindful of my movement and posture. She was super attentive to my needs and worked with me to provide exercises suited to my lifestyle and goals. Would highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: Elizabeth Scarpelli’s physical therapy is personal, professional, targeted, sensible, and friendly. She listens and reacts to what you say about your goals, your exercises, and your concerns. Her sessions are low-key but thorough. The exercises she has given me make logical sense and they have worked on my body! The hardest part about writing about Scarpelli’s & Associates is to avoid comparing Elizabeth’s wise woman approach to the “give them 30-minutes of rote mindless activities” I have endured at the large PT room at a nearby hospital! The PT was for a completely different issue, but the care, attention, and outcome are also completely different. The office is informal but efficient. They have everything I need but you feel you’re being helped by a person and not processed by a medical institution. The only hitch is the office is not part of most insurance networks and you pay the office and submit the bill for reimbursement. But, the care is worth that minor inconvenience. Finally, although they are a small office they have up-to-date tech including an app for your computer or phone that lets you view your assigned exercises and send messages.

Experiencia fantástica: As a result of a fall and badly damaging my left shoulder, I had a reverse shoulder arthroplasty surgery at the end of July, 2022. My orthopedic surgeon required me to be in an immobilizer sling for the first six weeks.. After the fourth week I began searching for a organization that offered physical therapy for my type of surgery/recovery. After several days of frustration searching, I called two friends who live in San Francisco and they both recommended Scarpelli & Associates. From the first call to determine availability, to scheduling appointments, to availability the physical therapy based on my doctor’s rehab protocol the staff was caring and professional throughout my 10 week shoulder rehab. I was impressed by their use of the Optimum App for the Smartphone. It allowed me to continue the exercises chosen for me by my physical therapist while at home with the ability to see visuals and descriptions. And it allowed me to rate the difficulty and pain level of each exercise. Finally, I wish to give a special recognition to my physical therapist Jonie Nguyen and client services specialist Joe Pascual.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to see Jonie Nguyen to work on my finger, which had been injured by a knife, and couldn't move well anymore. She was attentive to my needs and tried to find solutions and exercises I could implement into my daily life. I have seen my finger improve week after week, so I can also say without a doubt that Dr. Nguyen is skilled and knows what she does! I hope I won't be injured anymore, but if it had to happen, I know where I would go...

Experiencia fantástica: I have been seeing Liz at Scarpelli for the past month and I couldn't be happier. I had been in PT for over a year but my knee pain would not go away. I decided to switch to Scarpelli based on the reviews and within a couple of sessions the pain has already significantly decreased. Highly recommend them!

Experiencia fantástica: I'm immensely happy with seeing Dr. Jonie, I feel confident about walking and traveling again after rehab on my foot. She is so kind, so attentive, and so skilled at what she does. I also loved seeing Sergio and Joe each week, they are amazing (and made the process of going through insurance painless). Obviously no one wants to be injured, but it's nice knowing I have the right people to call if (when?) I do something clumsy and need PT in the future.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been coming in twice weekly to see Chris for about a month now and have been very happy with the results. I like his theory of using the smallest hammer (so to speak) to get results. This means, he isn’t relying on pushing you to the pain limits to see results. He uses a blend of deep tissue massage, stretch and strengthening to see results. To the point that I’ve increased my range of motion dramatically from visit to visit, without pain. During Covid, I have been impressed with their procedures to protect everyone. Temperature checks, hand washing, open windows and HEPA filters running. This has made me feel at ease. I give him and Scarpelli two thumbs up!

Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience with Liz Scarpelli at Scarpelli and Associates Physical Therapy. I came to Liz after having sharp pain beginning in my lower spine that went shooting down my right leg. Liz was thorough in identifying the cause and began instructing me in a series of exercises to help reduce the pain. Once the acute pain was gone, we moved to stretching exercises to address a likely culprit in my condition, my tight hamstrings and hip flexors. Finally, after making tremendous progress over the course of about ten days, Liz introduced strengthening exercises and postural awareness drills to reduce long-term risk of injury. I can't recommend Scarpelli and Associates enough. If you are in need of orthopedic physical therapy, go there.

Experiencia fantástica: This whole team raises the bar on quality bedside manner and customer service. Individualizing my treatment to fit my specific neck and back needs, Kate has worked with me for the past couple of weeks. I no longer have to go see the chiropractor and acupuncturist to get immediate pain relief because of their treatment plan to address the problem and not just treat the symptoms. They have equipped me with exercise techniques to address my flare ups and strengthen my back and neck muscles. Genevieve continues to help strengthen my core with a tailored Pilates schedule. This whole team is awesome, very personable folx! Super thankful to Kate, Liz, Genevieve, and Joe for all their help throughout my physical therapy journey.

Experiencia fantástica: Liz Scarpelli is the best physical therapist I have ever worked with. When I came to her with a severely damaged ankle, I could only walk a block or two without pain. I'd been told that only surgery would help. Thanks to the incredible treatments I had in her office, and the at-home exercises she gave me, I am now able to walk for miles. Liz is super smart, thorough, patient and very intuitive. And she has an amazing number of tools in her tool bag. She also runs a great office and has a terrific, engaging personality. A True Healer.

Even his surgeon at UC Davis was familiar with her work. Her expertise helped my son progress quickly and more importantly effectively over the course of his 8 week rehab. Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to Scarpelli Physical Therapy for a wrist injury and I would highly recommend them. My therapist, Genevieve, is competent, professional and so knowledgeable and I truly believe my quick, steady progress has been attributed to my sessions there. The office has a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere but you can also see that it is very efficiently run. Scarpelli rates top-notch on many levels. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!

Not only was I a yoga teacher, but they taught me more about my body and mind then I had studied! Since then, because I was so inspired by my care and I truly believe Liz Scarpelli is (and is rated several years in a row) the BEST PT in the city : I refer ALL injured yogis who come to their mats in my room, to this practice, who return to the mat renewed and excited about their bodies again; I've worked the front desk and met so many of the amazing patients; I am returning to school to become a Physical Therapist at 40 years old; I am thankfully able to shadow and am being mentored by Kate, Chris and Liz; and I literally aspire to be as good as them! Experiencia fantástica: Liz Scarpelli is an exceptional Physical Therapist. She worked with me to gain complete range of motion after arthroscopic shoulder surgery. Because I have confidence in the care I receive at Scarpelli and Associates I did not hesitate to return for treatment of my other shoulder with a seized scapula, shoulder and neck. Before seeing Liz I suffered excruciating pain for months. The first treatment relieved the pain. With minimal number of exercises and return visits I’m healing well.
