Fantastic experience: I was so happy with my experience at Athletico on 87th St. The staff is so professional, I worked with several different therapists and they all knew my history and exercises and got me to a healthy knee without surgery. Fantastic experience: For several weeks, from the fall of 2025 to mid January 2026, I worked 3 days/week with Jeff. In my experience he is the most experienced, professional and caring PT I have worked with. He obviously cares about his patients and their health. The clinic is well maintained with excellent equipment, experienced PT staff, and Barbara and the staff at the front desk immediately greet you by name with a welcoming hello. If I need PT again I will definitely come back, and I strongly encourage everyone needing physical therapy to come here! 5 STARS!!!!

Fantastic experience: On my way home from my Doctor visit where we agreed that Physical Therapy would be the next step, I saw a newer Athletico Physical Therapy that was close to my house in Lenexa. I had done PT in the past for something else, so I thought I would just check this place out. Yes, I probably should have looked at on-line reviews, but for some reason I was drawn to Athletico in Lenexa. Well, it turned out I was drawn there for a reason. I was warmly greeted by Barb, and had a great professional discussion with Jeff, who listened and showed concern about my condition. Fast forward a year, and I have now worked with all the Physical Therapists and have appreciated the friendly, knowledgeable guidance and support that each has given me. I think it is worth noting that there has been zero turnover, which speaks of the atmosphere and support they are given. I was impressed on my last visit, they made a tablet PC available on an easel to do live face to face transactions for a client. I have been going to Athletico Lenexa for over a year because my condition has been determined to be chronic by my Neurologist. This was not an easy journey, but my Athletico Lenexa team has been very supportive all the way. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at the Lenexa location of Athletico is friendly, welcoming, and helpful! I attended PT for about 12 weeks due to shoulder pain. I worked with several therapists during that time for exercises (Jeff, Amanda, Tori, and Abbi - all fantastic!) and with Jeff for a few sessions of dry needling. Not only do I feel better now, I also have a plan to prevent pain in the future. Every one of the therapists was positive and kind. Reception at the front desk always greeted me warmly and made me feel welcomed. Barbara brightens up every day! Motivation to keep pushing through effort and not give up when the results are not immediate is hard. The support and care shared by the team at Athletico makes that process easier, even with setbacks in progress over the weeks to recovery. My physical therapists tailored each visit to where I was on that day. You can find someone to give you a protocol for your treatment anywhere. You won’t find a positive atmosphere everywhere. Our attitudes towards pain change how we perceive it and being around positive people in our stressful world contributes to relief. For a tailored approach that is effective, positive, and centered on you, I recommend Athletico Physical Therapy in Lenexa.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Athletico in Lenexa for PT needs. I went in for shoulder therapy, and everyone was fantastic. Barb at the front desk is so warm and welcoming, and all of the physical therapists are friendly and supportive. The app is helpful to do at-home exercises, and they follow up with surveys regularly to see how you’re progressing. I hope to not need PT again, but if I do, I’ll definitely go back to the Lenexa location.

Fantastic experience: I went to Athletico for some back pain. I was super apprehensive, and didn’t believe they would be able to help my pain. I was so wrong. Amanda is so knowledgeable in what needs to be done in a certain timeframe. She was always so kind and encouraging during our sessions. The ladies at the front desk were always so nice and cheerful as well. I appreciate both their time and value with what I had going on, and if god forbid it happens again, they will be my first stop.

Fantastic experience: I came here for physical therapy after a motorcycle accident left me with wrist and knee pain. My PT was down-to-earth, patient, and really good at explaining what we were working on and why. The exercises and treatments actually helped, and I could feel steady improvement week by week. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and the sessions never felt rushed. I appreciate the care I received and how much better I’m doing now. I’d happily recommend them to anyone who needs PT.

Fantastic experience: Went in for an assessment for reoccurring lower back pain, got it scheduled last minute and they got me in the next day. Jeff gave me the 30 minute assessment for FREE and left me with a diagnosis, helpful info, and a good bunch of exercises to do at home, asking me to check in with him later. Also my insurance doesn't cover the sessions well, so they were nice not to pressure me into committing to more sessions until I was certain that's what I wanted to do. All the staff was very friendly. 10/10

Fantastic experience: I have been working with Caleb at this Athletico location in Lenexa to help reduce my hip pain due to osteoarthritis for the past few weeks and I have to say I’m feeling so much better! It’s wonderful to be able to walk without a limp! All of the staff has been wonderful, especially Barb and Caleb. Highly recommended by me!

Barbara was so warm and inviting on the telephone that I drove over there and Barbara set up 6 weeks of therapy that same day! Amanda has been taking care of me and I am much better! From the very first session, he demonstrated not only exceptional knowledge and skill but also genuine care for my recovery. Fantastic experience: So thankful for the team at Lenexa Athletico and I know they are the reason I am doing so well today. I started briefly with Jeff right when Covid started and then I was able to consistently be there the last 3 years. I’ve mostly had Bethany and Amanda and they have been amazing! I have always felt like everyone was cheering me on to feel better and improve and they seemed to genuinely care. Barb at the front desk is so compassionate and it’s evident how much Lenexa cares about their patients. I would definitely recommend the whole clinic. The only downside to being so improved is that I won’t see them a few times a week anymore and I will miss them!

Fantastic experience: The standard here is simply higher than anywhere else. Even the students doing their pre-grad rotations are fantastic. I've worked with multiple PTs at this location, and all of them are exceptional... but Jeff is world-class. He’s respected my injuries while pushing me to test myself mentally and physically in a way that deserves more than just a thank you or a nice review on Google. He understands exactly when to push and when to protect, and that balance is what sets him apart. You'll grow stronger, more resilient, and more capable than you ever thought possible with this staff. (Side note... the front office staff is made up of gem after gem. Just the nicest humans you could ever meet).

Fantastic experience: After 6 weeks of post knee replacement therapy, I've reached my goals (no pain, full range of motion and rebuilt muscle tone). It goes without saying that without a patient but firm PT doctor I wouldn't have reached the full measure of those goals on the timeline allowed by insurance. I had complications after my TKA & didn’t think I’d ever recover. Jeff addressed my issues & encouraged me to be patient, which eventually paid off, & I FINALLY reached my goals. Fantastic experience: I came here years ago needing PT and when it came time to go back for another injury this year I knew I wanted to come back. I originally wanted to come back because Barbara that takes care of all scheduling, billing, phone calls and more is so incredibly kind and caring that I never forgot that. Now that I’m back and happy to see her again I really enjoy the crew currently here. Barbara managing the desk, Cesar, Mary Beth, and Jake help me schedule or finish up on my work outs and keep the place tidy. Bethany and Amanda have been helping me over a month now get stronger and heal and are very caring. They help me feel stronger while taking in my feedback on what hurts or may be difficult so we can adjust as needed. I would really recommend this location to anyone as I really like all the staff here.

Fantastic experience: I randomly chose this location when my Dr. Suggested Athletico. Turned out to be a great choice. Everyone is so friendly. Kind of looked forward to appointments. Jeff was my primary therapist. He was very attentive to my needs. He added my exercises to the portal so I was able to continue at home. I also had Bethany and Caleb. Both were very good.

Fantastic experience: Immediately responded to my needs in a professional and yet friendly manner. Barbara manages effectively and she is always on top of what the insurance covers, communicating as often as needed as you come in or go out, following up with texts and email. The atmosphere is so friendly and fun. All the staff get along and you feel like you are among friends, which is the way it becomes as you progress your way back to (or actually better than) before. The staff is so knowledgeable about injuries so much more than I anticipated. You know they are all highly educated and smart. I learned so much and rather than simply work to relieve my pain for the present they worked to give me the strength in my core to prevent further injury. I am 73 and probably in better shape than I have been in ages. I am grateful for their hard work, and great record keeping to document what I do each time. There is a progressive plan for every individual and regardless who you work with, they can each log into your plan and know exactly what to do. I have a lot of respect for this business and the skilled physical therapists who treated me. I highly recommend Atheletico of Lenexa. It is also so easily accessed as it is on 87th St. Pkwy near 435, 35, and 69 highways.

Fantastic experience: I am very satisfied with the care I received after my shoulder replacement. I worked mostly with Amanda, but also with Jeff and Bethany. All were patient with my impatience and kept me ahead of schedule with my rehab. I definitely recommend Athletico.

Fantastic experience: Really enjoyed working with Amanda (and all the staff as well!) The exercises were very effective addressing my pain. She really listened to my specific issues and modified exercises as needed. I will definitely go back here if I need any physical therapy in the future.

Jeff was a great physical therapist and gave me lots of great tips to help recover from a shoulder injury.

Fantastic experience: After years of back pain and visits to the chiropractor, Jeff and the Team at Athletico put together a plan to strengthen my lower back and improve my flexibility. I was initially seen for upper back and neck pain, and by the end of an eight-week treatment, I had experienced a reduction in my symptoms. I worked with Jeff, Amanda, and Bethany, and each was knowledgeable and committed to helping their patients recover. The environment is relaxed and comfortable, and they make scheduling and dealing with insurance a breeze.

Fantastic experience: I went in to Athletico with some shoulder pain and met with Jeff. He gave me a very helpful consultation detailing the causes of the injury as well as giving me a workable plan to rebuild strength and mobility in that shoulder. He has helped me with pain in my feet (plantar fasciitis), neck, back, hips, calves and anything random in between. Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience working with the AthletiCo team at the 87th St. location. I had a frozen shoulder and went through surgery. I felt helpless but Jeff and his team worked with me over a period of three months and I’m happy to report my shoulder is near fully functional. I never thought I would be here. Jeff is amazing. And I cannot say enough about Bethany and the work out she put me through. Top-notch crew.

Fantastic experience: I went to Athletico to get help with strong pain in my hip and knee. Jeff and the team evaluated my mobility and movements and provided an individual plan for my recovery. It took only few lessons to feel a significant reduction of the pain level.
