Negative experience: Outdated equipment. Wedges on most tables are worn down and uncomfortable. Been using the same stuff for a long time now. I have been a patient many times before so I would know what im talking about. We will start with the fact that I feel like we could update the waterbeds. And the pillow they give you for your knees are often time so worn down and used they dont provide support. The stim machine sporadically and unexpectedly shocks you very painfully. Didnt feel very good. The g5 sometimes works and sometimes didnt. Same thing last time I recieved treatment g5 was on the brink. The sticky pads for stim machine was cheap and reused on multiple patients. Which isnt very sanitary at all due to MRSA and other diseases that peoples skin carry like bacteria. The treatment nurses rushed all the time to get you out quickly so thet could go home even cut your treatment short. Very unprofessional staff that often times act like they are unable to communicate with you as a patient . Office lady was always snarky and rude before she went on maternity leave , which im thankful for . Speaking of the office lady she was helping out the treatment nurse team and hooked me and my daughter up to the stim machine and extended our 10 min treatment time without our permission to a painful 30 min session. Afterwords I told her i didnt want her to provide treatment to us again. New lady at front desk hailey wasnt bad at all she was pleasant thankfully. Apparently after talking to dr she stated hard to find good people . Been aware of the way they treat patients for awhile , but she wasnt in charge of hiring ! I cant understand how you barely can talk to the patient you are treating. There was only one girl in there that gave treatment that i liked she had blonde hair and was the nicest wish i remembered her name. They only other person at this location that I met is the nice billing lady aneida. She agreed to give me a few treatments or extend me after they used my $2000 medical pay first approved by the owner which was truly appreciated. And another nice charitable thing to do considering i do have frequent flyer miles with this facility. So I give points for the kind heartedness of anieda and the owner. So I think I got maybe a total of 5 extra treatments. As for the last makeup day I was cut short from having due to the dr releasing me before I could get the last treatment which was a bummer. Felt like im only a number not just this time but last time. But last time dr angel was there, and I figured this time maybe things might have changed for the best. They dont provide biofreeze to take home anymore like they used to . And they are always short on icepacks and won't give you another one or let you pay for another one even though you ask multiple times and even if you offer to purchase one. And the popping thing they use on ur back feels like it does nothing only makes a clicking noise ! Dr said we would get to manual adjustments but only manually adjusted me once. I was also informed they will discontinue the biofreeze when it runs out that was one of the best parts i looked forward to and that helped. I wanted to love this place. But I cannot . And hope mills location was way better in my opinion. But i will never go back to nelson and nelson on raeford rd. I will however go back to cross creek chiropractic and see dr thorne for future needs. * updated thorough review * As for why I would return to be a patient, every establishment deserves a 2nd chance because there is always room for Improvement. Last time to be nice I didnt voice my opinions or leave a review. But this time I have to leave some constructive critism so maybe things will change for future patients.

Negative experience: I have been to Nelson and Nelson Chiropractic for a total of fourteen scheduled visits. While the care itself is great, their scheduling and communication process needs significant improvement. Out of those fourteen visits, this is the second time I have arrived for a confirmed appointment only to find the office closed with no prior notice. This time, my appointment was set at the Yadkin Road location, which has since closed. I was told that all existing appointments would remain the same and would be honored at the Raeford Road office. However, I did not receive any communication from the Raeford Road location regarding today’s appointment. When I arrived, the office was closed, and a note on the door was my only notification. Consistent communication is essential, especially when patients are rearranging their day to attend scheduled care. I hope they will address issues with their scheduling system and improve communication with patients to prevent this from happening again.

Fantastic experience: I came to Nelson & Nelson due to a car accident and I’m glad I did. The staff here is great, they made me feel very comfortable. They are very professional yet friendly. The doctors here are amazing, so glad I came here! If your ever in an accident, come here to Nelson & Nelson. They will get you back straight!! If I could give higher than 5 stars I would!!!

Negative experience: Very small office; On a busy day expect to stand up and wait. I was actually very disappointed to pay and not receive an adjustment at all. They basically did X-rays, spent 30-45 minutes on massage therapy and heat therapies. When it’s time for an adjustment, she did the drop table twice and did something I literally do at home by turning on my side in bed. If you are seeking a real and true adjustment for back injuries or issues— I would NOT recommend this office. I will continue my search for a good chiropractic professional.

Fantastic experience: I have been wheelchair bound since 2015 and a regular visitor of chiropractic services since 2016. Therefore, I know a little something about chiropractors. I became a patient of Dr. Denise's after we moved to Fayetteville in 2019. I think I qualify as a well informed source on Nelson and Nelson Chiropractic on Raeford Rd. They all are very well qualified for their individual jobs. Megan at the front desk can help you whether you're a referral from another doctor, you have been in an accident and your visits will be paid by insurance or, like me, you're a VA patient. She knows how it's done. Then there are the ladies in the pre-treatment room. I don't know if that's what they call it, but that's how I think of it. They are all very well versed in muscle stimulus, using heat and cold treatments, and the other various methods that Nelson and Nelson use to get your body ready to see the chiropractor. They are all responsive to the patient's needs and concerns. And then there is the chiropractic treatment. I have never been concerned or scared when I see the Chiropractor. Whether it has been Dr. Denise or someone filling in for her. They are all as gentle as they can be. Once again you will be dealing with a professional who will be very understanding and receptive to your concerns. At least that has been my experience with them. I've said all of this to tell you that I definitely recommend Nelson and Nelson Chiropractic to everyone! Whether it's your first or one thousandth visit to a chiropractor, you need to schedule an appointment. Every person in this office is there for one reason, to make you feel better. And they are very good at accomplishing that goal. So, at your first opportunity call them and get scheduled for your first visit with them. They can take the necessary X-rays on site. Do it! Don't put it off any longer. Your back, actually, your whole body will be thankful you did.
